Hundreds lined up outside of Q Pop Saturday night to honor their favorite magical warrior princess and her guardians. The Sailor Moon-themed art show included works by Crowded Teeth, Jisoo Kim, Lisa Penney, Angela An, Tiffany Ford, Miss Kika, Tuna Bora, Eastwood Wong, Naoshi, Teacake, Elsa Chang, Perry Maple, Velwyn Yossy, Cameron Garland, Brigitte Barrager and more. This past weekend, Burbank welcomed the return of Eliot Brodsky's Monsterpalooza. In attendance were all walks of life and death, not to mention the more famous living ones like Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), all of the Hellraiser clan and many, many more. From Robert Vargas' Red Zebra anniversary bash at Downtown's Crocker Club, to the debut of the brand new Melrose gallery Revolution X with William "Wildcat Will" Blanchard's "Never Give Up!" show, to La Luz De Jesus/Wacko's annual group show opening event, arty parties made for painting the town every color in the rainbow last week. There are dating sites and online communities to help you meet like-minded eaters. Finally, the vegan restaurant has broken free from its self-built hippie prison. The glamorous vegan restaurant has arrived. Now Café Gratitude has opened Gracias Madre, which also has a location in the Bay Area.
