I needed this
I'm tired of all those "10 Questions to ask your proofreaders"
Why? Because I would never actually say something like that to my friends. So... here's 10 actual questions to ask your friends who just read your draft
Favorite character? What do you like about them?
Can you connect to the characters?
Do you know what's going on?
Are there any parts of it that feel weird or disconnected?
Do you like it?
Do you want to continue reading it?
Favorite parts?
Least Favorite parts?
Can you relate to the characters in any way?
Is it entertaining?

You know, the only thing that consoles me anymore is the idea that my enemies might pick up the book I wrote without realizing it’s me, fall in love with it and then be angry when the show up to a signing

Feel this!
Alright, I know a lot of writers get comments along the lines of “oh my god, this is so tragic/angsty/scary, are you okay?” but do you ever catch yourself thinking about your own story idea like “oh my god, am I okay?” Because that’s where I’m at right now and honestly I’m kind of concerned by what my brain is capable of coming up with.

I don’t understand how some authors can write their book and not cry over the heart wrenching endings.
Because trust me, I am 🥲

One of my favorite things is going to coffee shops to write and edit my upcoming book with my supportive boyfriend/cowriter
One day, I’m going to make a compilation of all of our favorite places to write. We’ve uncovered several super cute locations local to us. There is an adorable French inspired caffe that I’m obsessed with. Unfortunately, it’s about an hour from my home.

Ceiling and imagery of the Tomb of the Vineyards, burial of Sennefer, Mayor of the Southern City, Thebes, during the 18th dynasty of Egypt.
Photos taken by me, August 2023
It’s hard to tell which way is up and down when walking through the tunnel leading from the surface into the tomb. Before entering the main chamber there is a small antechamber whose ceiling is quite low, and then a shallow arch which leads to the main room depicted in the above photographs. Both chambers contain a good deal of paintings, however the main chamber holds the most numerous and well preserved paintings, of course. Besides the ceiling, everything is encased in glass.

Would you read a high fantasy romance in the perspective of the morally gray male?
I am in the process of editing the novel I wrote fully in his perspective rather than that of the female’s. The story follows this young man as he attempts to kidnap a noblewoman and bring her home to her father (whom he detests). However, through this journey, our morally gray man quickly realizes that there is more to this girl than meets the eye. Her father has sinister plans for her and when he realizes this, our morally gray man isn’t sure he can take her back anymore.
Character Spotlight: The Mercenary — The main character
♡ The Mercenary is a silver tongued rogue whom was raised on the streets.
♡ He lives by a set of rules for his survival and follows them to a T.
♡ He isn’t above bending the knee if it means he gets what he wants in the end.
♡ He does not tell lies—he doesn’t want to lose his tongue.
Want a playlist that describes him? We’ve got one!

We are here for the queer books! In the midst of editing and writing a few myself!
Tik Tok gets REALLY mad at me whenever I try to do anything queer over there, so Tumblr... here I am. Embrace me, please.
My very bisexual book, We Own the Stars, is out today!
I want to share with you my FAVORITE review from an ARC reader because it turns out, they're my ideal reader. They just *got* the book. They knew what I was trying to do and were the exact person I wanted to have it resonate with. Yay!
