You couldn't help but think back to that night and smile. School had graciously come to an end, and you had planned to celebrate with your friends. The night had continued on and on, but eventually you hitched a ride home with a friend. You were tired and a little drunk, yet you never expected to see a familiar semi truck parked in your driveway. At first, you thought you were hallucinating, until the door opened and a holoform of Optimus stepped out.

"Shit," you muttered. You weren't at all presentable nor were you in the right state of mind. Yet you straightened yourself out before approaching. "What's wrong? I didn't expect to see–" He pulled you in for a hug.

"Congratulations on graduating." Optimhs whispered, squeezing you a bit before pulling away. "I....uh, I apologize for not attending your graduation."

"Don't worry about it." You smiled. "I'm glad I got to see you today. Plus graduation is pretty boring so you didn't miss anything."

"Don't say that, nothing is boring when I get to see you." He planted a small kiss on your forehead. You chuckled and pulled him in to press your lips on his lips. He deepened the kiss as he lifted you up, gently carrying you to the passenger seat of the truck. "Is it okay if we go for a midnight drive?" He asked, his head leaning into your neck as you pulled him in.

"Yes.....yes." You breathed. He gave you a wide grin before he closed the passenger door. You watched the scene outside the window as Optimus drove. He glanced at you from time to time, a little hesitant if he should start a conversation or not.

He finally mustered the courage to break the silence, "Any specific plans after graduation?"

"Hmm, probably getting a job and getting my own place to move to." You shrugged. "There's nothing much to do." Optimus nodded in understanding.

"I....I know I'm not around a lot, but if you do need help looking for a job, just give me a call and I'll drop everything to give you a ride and help." Optimus offered. You stared at him closely

"You don't have to do that–"

"I want to." He smiled at you before focusing back on the road. After a couple hours of driving, Optimus parked alongside a bumpy road. It was quiet and deserted, yet on the other side of the river was a city skyline glittered in lights. You jumped out to stare at the scene and Optimus' holoform joined you. "Some day, I'll take you somewhere else that's not a couple hours away.....I'll take you somewhere you want to go to."

"Aw that's sweet! But I just want to be wherever you go." You smiled up at him. Could holoforms blush? Perhaps it was the trick of the light, but Optimus averted your gaze as he turned to face away from you. You chuckled to yourself before his hand snaked around your waist to pull you closer to him.

"C'mere." He chuckled. "You really had my spark pounding like that." He pressed his lips against yours as his hands squeezed your hips against his body. You let out an involuntary moan into the kiss and Optimus smirked as he deepened the kiss before his lips moved down to your neck. You gasped as you clenched onto Optimus' shirt, his hold on you was tight and you felt like you were drowning in pure bliss.

"Optimus–" you moaned. His kiss went down to your collarbone, before he softly took your hand to kiss your pulse point.

"Happy graduation, my spark." He gazed up at you with those electric blue eyes and you couldn't help but stop breathing, hoping to keep the moment forever in your memory. Maybe you were selfish to wish for the night to stay forever, but you cherished every minute until dawn.

Rebecca came to the Sanctum to take a break from her annoying colleagues and friends. However what she got there was just another one of her annoying colleagues and friends. But like always, Stephen was handling things a little different and made her feel less under pressure to change some things in her life.

Her love life, to be precise. It's been 2 years since they defeated Thanos for good. Seven years have passed since Loki died. And since that time Rebecca never wanted another relationship. She never recovered from this loss. She was fine with the fact that she probably never fell in love again. But her closest friends, her Avengers, weren't.

And neither was Stephen, her best friend out of all of them. And right now he was yet again trying to change her mind about this.

"You really should start dating again. You cannot sit at home and watch all the couples come and go while mourning what you had. You gotta put yourself out there, find a nice guy and settle down with him!"

Rebecca laughed repellent. If there's one way he certainly wasn't getimg her dating again, then it was telling to do it. Yet he obviously wasn't the only one with the same idea.

"Funny, Clint told me exactly the same three days ago. I really wonder why you're so concerned about my love life!"

Rebecca was running low on patience after being told the same thing over and over again.

"Rebecca, I care about you in every way. You're like a sister to me. I love you and there's nothing in the world that would make me stop being concerned about you. I know that what you and Loki had was something for a lifetime and beyond. Loki-"

"LOKI WAS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, LIKE YOU SAID! He got taken away from me by Thanos! I CAN'T love anyone the same ever again!"

She finally snapped, tears forming in her eyes. She felt bad for yelling at him after he said all those heartwarming words. Overstrained with this situation, she began to cry, making Stephen feel really bad about scratching open those scars she would probably never fully recover from. He walked closer to her and just held her in his warm arms for a moment so she could sob into his chest. After a moment, he decided to speak again. He didn't know what exactly to say however, so he decided to say what seemed fit for him right now.

"I give you one thing, you didn't end up like Wanda even though the only person that you loved got murdered. That's a good thing."

Rebecca chuckled, looking up at him. Seeing her mood lift slightly made him smile too. Surprised that it actually did help her state, he continued nonetheless, yet cautiously, since she was still very sensitive.

"What's your secret? Meditation?"

Rebecca laughed softly at that and shook her head.

"Why does it always have to be meditation?"

Stephen laughed and shrugged, loosening the grip around her a little so he could properly look her into the eyes.

"I don't know. Just guessing."

Rebecca dried her tears and calmed herself down a bit.

"If you want to know how I managed not to loose my mind like her then I'll be happy to enlighten you. It's a simple question.Would've Loki wanted this? That I turn against my friends and destroy everything and everyone because of my devastating loss and turn into a monster? The question is self explanatory."

Stephen admired her way of thinking and how strong she had been the past 7 years. Loki died, then Nat died, then Tony. And she had to withstand two nerve wracking battles against Thanos. All while she managed to stay herself and not get lost in sheer anger, devastation and vengeance. Without a warning Stephen hugged her tightly again, resting his chin on her left shoulder.

This woman deserved all the love and support in the world.

"Whatever happens, whatever the future holds, you know that I'm always here for you. Wherever I am, is your safe place."

Rebecca nodded and hugged him around his middle, pulling him even closer.

"I know. And I'm endlessly thankful for that. I'm happy that after all of this shit that happened I still have you... It feels so good that after so much change some things stayed the same. But please promise me that you will never tell me that I have to get a boyfriend again. Can you do that?"

"I have to be honest with you, it's gonna be difficult to not approach this matter, but I'll definitely restrain myself more often in future if it bothers you so much."

Rebecca nodded and smiled at him.

"Thank you, Stephen. And I love you too."

"I know due to your massive ego that you would never admit it too, but I love you, Revali. My love for you is bigger than your arrogance could ever be."

Revali listened to Rebecca's every word and unbeknownst to her, he found that his heart was about to burst from happiness.

Happiness and sadness...

Sadness because of a certain thing he didn't think she would address in such a state.

But yet she did, and sighed heavily, thinking that his ego overruled his mind again and that he pushed her words aside.

"Don't worry. I'll depart from Rito Village before the sun rises tomorrow and you don't have to see my face again for a long time."

As she said that, he felt like his heart was going to shatter into pieces. He didn't blame her to think that he didn't reciprocate her feelings, even though he did. The last few days he behaved rude towards her, his best friend, something he never did.

He always spared her of his arrogance, rude words and insults... Well, not recently, he noticed and he hated himself for that. But he was simply too overwhelmed by the feeling of being in love with her. And now he pushed her away to the point where she thought he hated her.

He knew he had to let her go, but he couldn't. He couldn't let the love of his life run away, not now, not in a thousand years. So when all the rational words have escaped his brain and Rebecca already turned away to walk off, he grabbed her hand gently and pulled her close to him. Rebecca's brown eyes widened in sheer surprise. He looked at her with soft green eyes.

"I've been such an idiot...  and so stupid... Rebecca, I'm so sorry about the way I treated you recently, I thought like this I might keep my feelings sealed off, but it was wrong to do so... I thought that maybe, if I don't pay it much attention, those feelings might die down, but they never did. Because I love you and I can't stop loving you. So please, forgive me. Forgive me for everything I've done... please..."

His voice cracked as tears began to stream out of his emerald eyes, and Rebecca couldn't help herself but to wrap her arms around him and hug him tightly, tears she didn't even know she held back rolled down her cheeks now as he struggled to continue.

"I wish I could take back all the rude things I've said to you, I feel so horrible... I... I love you."

After that was said, he rested his forehead against hers.

"If I beg you to stay, will you?"

Rebecca nodded. He sighed out relieved and nuzzled his face into her hair, inhaling her calming scent while holding her close to him.

"I'll stay with you until the end of time."
