I found an audio I really enjoyed and had to make an animation for it so here we go

Dug up some old sketches of my oc’s. So some old designs and old art I have lying around that I figured I’d share.

This is Adrien a character I haven’t introduced here yet. I changed the name spelling and I have since changed his design having realized when I found this I made his skin way too ashy. His skin now has a much warmer tone to it so it looks like actual skin color

Some drawings of Miraven and my friend’s oc, Essie, who I use in my story while she uses Miraven in hers. They’re not the first people you would think of being best friends but they get along despite their many differences.

New character!

Aadi is a girl who was born and raised in the human kingdom (to be named) with her adoptive father and adoptive brothers, Adrien and Calder, until she was 14, and her town was invaded by Esliran soldiers. She tried to defend herself with what’s been called dark magic or shadow magic. She was inexperienced however and was kidnapped and forced to become an Elsiran soldier because she has magic. The army was unpleasant as anyone might expect and she tried many times to flee. Eventually after she grew tired of running she became determined to grow strong enough to fight her way out of the war. She met another girl there she fell in love, but only Aadi survived the horrors of the war. When she was 18 the camp she was stationed at was attacked and she was able to find her escape out. She was forced into the city of Juniper the capitol of Elsira. She had no job, little education, and her hopes weren’t high. She had also lost all hope of ever being reunited with her family. When everyone she went to refused to hirer her, she was left to the streets and expected she’d be here for the rest of a short life. A month later of struggling to keep on, she overheard two people talking of needing a shadow mage for a job. The way they said it made her hesitant to approach, but she was desperate for any work. They took her to a tavern where she met with the ringleader of a group known for exposing the dirty secrets of the rich, known as Abiram. He gave her the opportunity to help them and get money for it, and so she did, expecting she would only become a criminal once. Unfortunately she had to admit it was a wonderful feeling knowing the secrets of nobles aren’t safe just like everyone else, and she continued her work there.

Extra fun facts:

- Aadi is a lesbian

- She’s a human, but long ago had an elven ancestor which is where her magic came from

- Cut her hair to see if she liked or not, wants to grow it out a little bit though

A quick sketch of one of my main oc’s Miraven,

Miraven is a wood elf born and raised in Elsira’s capitol, Juniper and is the son of one of the council members who rule Elsira. His mother died from lack of modern medicine while giving birth to him and his twin sister, Reyrona (Rona). When Miraven asked his father how his mother died his father explained, and Miraven asked if that meant it was his fault, and his father walked away. When Miraven was about 10 elven age, on a trip to his family’s country home, soldiers from the human kingdom (to be named) who they have been fighting against for half a century attacked the home. Everyone but Miraven’s brother, Ronan, made it out alive. Reyrona fought of one of the soldiers, and for the first time showed the ability to perform magic. Not long after she was sent to a military academy to train as a soldier. This left Miraven with his younger half-brother, older brother, and older sister, Zindan, Norven and Orilee. Later Miraven developed a love and passion for music which led to his discovery that he could perform magic through his songs, a trait common among mages, but rare in his family. He kept it hidden afraid if his father could find out he could perform magic he’d send him to fight die to the draft of all mages to help in the war effort. Miraven kept hidden, and out of the way to keep his father’s cruelties directed away from him. Orilee who had been the one to mostly raise him eventually left to be married causing visits to be rare from her. Miraven hated no longer having someone to confide in until he grew closer with Zindan despite the age gap and despite not sharing the same mother. When Miraven turned 18 in elven years his father gave him orders to join the military on the front lines by the end of the week. Terrified Miraven looked for any loopholes out of it and learned that religious orders overrule military orders. He went to a local church and managed to get orders to live and work at the church and delivered them to his father. Miraven was sent to live at the church and although it’s not as luxurious a life as he had before he found himself relieved to feel more free than he ever had in his life.

I would continue but this is getting too long, I’ll continue the story at some point later

- Miraven is bi and genderqueer (he/they)

- Miraven’s mother is originally from a tribe outside of Elsira inspired by Native American cultures

- Miraven has stage fright

One of my favorite oc’s of this story, Abiram, a half-elf with serious revenge issues, I won’t give too much about him away yet, but more blogs will come, I decided to post this first since I’m pretty proud of how this turned out, and I hope you all like him along with future oc’s
