I can tell who ruined a connection based on noise. It’s not the one who is quiet because they have already accepted the situation for what it is and moved on to better things. It’s the one who is loud with bitterness and anguish. The one who will try every possible thing to spite the other, orchestrating traps and hoping they’d fall. They think they’re playing a cat and mouse game when they’re actually just chasing their own tail. I seen it time and time again to already know the outcome. The cacophony will die out, but not without them destroying themselves in the process. If only they understood the other’s silence to accept that they have no intentions of ever reconnecting again. Let alone take the bait. Futile.
