Oc anon here! What tag do I use if I make a fanart of your ocs? Is there a community of these characters in the story?
If I and a couple of my friends are a community, then yes, I have one lmao.
I mark all posts with them with the tag #basement monsters, since this is essentially the name of their lore or something. And if you make a fanart with this tag, I'll be so happy!!!

I love the Jester guy and that one blonde named Heinz. What is their background and how their relationship works?
Oh, they each have their own story.
Jester is the result of an ancient anomaly, an evolutionary anomaly, you might say. Jester was formed somewhere in the Middle Ages. This creature had been driven by hunger from the start. No wonder, Jester's first name is a Mimic. Because that's what Jester was — a chest full of tentacles that absorbed everything that passed by. Like a DnD creature, yeah.
However, the more time passed, the more often the Mimic began to develop curiosity. And it began to copy its environment in order to learn, mimic, learn, absorb knowledge. And so it continues to this day. Jester is hundreds, if not thousands of years old, right up to the present day, Jester continues to study animals, nature, people, as if studying and copying — is the real nature of this creature.
But its curse is emotions, human emotions. Which Jester tries to understand and copy, but still can't figure out if under these thick layers of disguise there are its inherent true emotions that it is not able to express.
Heinz, however, is just as full of mysteries. He used to be an ordinary servant of God, an angel in a heaven, but he was driven by primordial sin, a thirst for knowledge. And this led him astray, leading his soul to be cast out by his own Father. His soul was trapped in the body of a death row prisoner who was about to be executed, but somehow that prisoner disappeared at the time of execution.
Heinz is not bound by humanity, because he is not a human being. He still believes that he is a fallen being that God turned his back on, bringing him down to earth to work off his misdeeds. But instead, Heinz started doing what he wanted to do, which is to study people's guts. Study nature. Explore the possibility of creating a different life, his own.
Heinz is very protective of his life and his secrets. That's why Jester couldn't immediately discover that behind the mask of a sociopathic doctor lies a scientist who had gone a bit enthusiastic about his work. He experimented on people and animals, creating his own monsters, which he refused to call his children.
At the same time, their relationship is difficult to call something unambiguous and generally normal. Jester is constantly changing its attitude towards Heinz, flirting with him, threatening him, ignoring him, doing all sorts of tricks to see how he reacts to it. Heinz, however, reacts aggressively to aggression at the moment, but his attitude towards this creature is also very shaky, since he cannot yet hate it.
They have one thing in common — Heinz likes to dissect Jester and study its properties, to get to know it delicately and without greed, and Jester really likes it.
Jester had a rather negative series of experiences in the past with scientists who experimented on it and tried to reproduce its nature in order to create something similar to a mimic. Heinz differs from these madmen by expressing only curiosity, without the desire to somehow use the knowledge gained against the interests of Jester.

Okay, I'm back with the OC questions. I wanna ask about Heinz (I think that's how his name is spelled). What's the deal with him? When did he get into science? What branch of science? Why does he have trouble expressing his emotions? How'd he meet Jester? Is his hair soft?
WHOA that's a lot of questions! Now-now, I'll answer in order!
TW for blood
What's the deal with him? This handsome blond guy's name is Heinz, he's a kind of doctor, scientist, and a pretty murky type. He is very secretive and even after a long partnership with Jester, he is not very open in communication and doesn't share info just like that. In any case, Jester learned more about Heinz by spying on him than from him directly.
When did he get into science? What branch of science? Heinz has been curious in studying and experimenting with living organisms since he remembers himself. He is a biologist and puts curiosity above morality. Despite working at his own clinic for some time, (which was in a deprived area, so they turned a blind eye to some of his dirty deeds). He also has a laboratory in his basement, and part of his income is from selling organs on the black market.
Why does he have trouble expressing his emotions?
Jester, before meeting Heinz face to face, it spied on him and studied his habits and attitude towards people. At first glance, he could be labeled as a psychopath. But outside of work, he behaved normally, humanely. Jester found out that Heinz is a big smoker. His lifestyle is not very healthy, due to fast food and unhealthy food, and he has terrible sleep patterns. But at the same time, Heinz is still in good shape and is quite strong. Except for an absolute lack of interest in close interaction with people, his hobbies were typical, such as hentai old manga and cheap horror movies. He felt too normal.
Beside that, Jester discovered on its own is that Heinz has no complete past, no information about his family or childhood in general. He has some connection to the death of a one prisoner who had mysteriously disappeared after his execution. And Heinz has a special check mark about religion and God himself.
How'd he meet Jester?
Speaking of which, Jester was, roughly speaking, stalking Heinz, disguising itself often as someone else to get to know him better. Therefore, Jester took extreme measures and sneaked into Heinz's basement through the ventilation system, falling out to him right from there and presenting itself in its buffoonish manner. And Heinz responded calmly even when Jester tried unsuccessfully to frighten him with the most terrifying images. This caught Jester's attention too much, and it clung to Heinz, starting to haunt him here and there and studying him without stealth. Heinz couldn't even resist the fact that this creature started to live with him now.
However, Jester's methods of studying someone's nature is psychological provocation. Jester tease Heinz, hurts him, provokes him, and led him to release his accumulated anger at itself. But that was what Jester needs, its masochistic tendencies allow it to enjoy seeing Heinz gut the creature in order to explore its inner workings thoroughly. Seems like a win-win situation.
Is his hair soft?
His hair is a little burnt with hair dye, so it's not particularly soft, but rather brittle.
That's it, folks! I tried to tell you the details without spilling out all the shocking information about these two, but I hope you found it interesting to read! I'm ready to tell you more about them in the future, as long as you're interested!
also note: Heinz is not completely my OC, it's my friend's OC with whom we roleplayed together for these characters and came up with their story. These are collaborative OCs!

How are you so good at tentacles/tendrils? (Sorry if this has already been asked)
I AM GLAD YOU ASKED!!!
I've been wanting to draw a tutorial on how to draw tentacles for a long time, but I couldn't find a reason, so I finally did it because I really like to draw tentacles, despite the fact that drawing them is exhausting for me because of their number. Anyway, I hope my humble tutorial will help you!

I AM SO TOUCHED AHHHH I'm really happy that you like my OC! I'm always at a low start to start talking about them!
*gassssp* you have OCs 💥 can you tell me about them 🤩
YES! It's my lovely OC, but I have to TW y'all of the horror pics, tentacles, and a lot of eyes.
Its name is Jester, it's horrorish vile creature, made of a bunch of tentacles, blue teeth and blue eyes. It can mimic any form, any creature, and hides among people for its own safety. But also it likes attention! So it always chooses pretty bright appearances.
But don't let yourself be fooled by this vivid image, in fact, if this creature is very hungry, it doesn't care what it eats — a cow or a human. But as a rule, it controls its appetite and, when full, likes to study people, history and many other skills in order to try new disguises on itself.
Despite its dangerous true appearance and amoral world views, Jester is actually very reasonable and harmless. It hides from those who want to study it, disembowel and learn how to use its abilities for the “benefit of humanity”. Jester cannot reproduce, as it's the only creature of its kind, and is unsure that it even wants to meet someone like it.
Jester has been living and hiding among people for centuries and, to tell the truth, it no longer remembers exactly when, where and how it was born.
Although Jester has a mind, character, personality, it denies its possibility for humanity thoroughly, because mimic cannot be human. But deep in the core, this being harbors doubts and a desire not to be alone. It wants to be accepted and not feel like a monster. It seeks a way to express its feelings in its own way, rather than copying someone else's method of showing emotions.
In the current timeline, Jester has stuck to a black market scientist named Heinz, who has somehow hooked this creature with his behavior, so it wants to study him and understand why he is so calm about Jester's real nature.
Their relationship is quite comlicated and at first glance may seem toxic and abnormal. Jester is manipulative and Heinz is bad at showing emotions and it's hard for both of them to open up to each other, but when they get to know each other better, they will begin to appreciate each other. But who knows what their dubious bond will lead to.
Thank you for reading, it's really a pleasure for getting questions about my OCs! Sorry for long post and creepy pictures, I'm just a big fan of this kind of stuff.
