A set of four products of Berlin creative minds in only one picture. And my beloved raw wall in the living room serves as the background. I am particularly fond of this setting we made during the last photo shoot with @theresagrieben and @carolinabuzio. The "punker planter lady" I already owned and I love the character of that face. It matches prettily with that plant (don't you think Mia @mosskeramik?) The two golden beauties are vintage (well... what a surprise :). The adjustable golden table lamp is from Swiss-German producer Temde - the clock was made by Junghans. For me it's really the mix of four totally different styles that make the look so fresh. Here comes - as promised - another pretty picture of our combined photo shoot with Theresa and Carolina. My kitchen board is usually crammed with spices and kitchen appliances, water bottles and coasters. But the photo setup with the pretty picture inspired me to cram some of the stuff away elsewhere. I have come to love the transparency and warmth of these typical 70s glazes on white clay or porcelain. Its the mix of honey or mustard yellow, a warm dark orange, sometimes a dark chocolate brown and mocca that makes these randomly combined sets of dishes so intriguing. They were produced by Melitta in West-, by Colditz and Torgau in East Germany. My partner still despises them. I am starting the week-end and also the X-Mas countdown with something silver and cool: This desk lamp is a GDR production of the 70s done by Elma (or the lamp design might be called Elma which is much prettier I think) that formerly came in bright tomato red. Then... with a little effort (and some more time to scrub off the old damaged varnish) it turned out much more interesting I think. Now it shines in a variation of polished silver aluminum from the top to pale grey silver on the toe. An industrial one-of-a-kinder. Of course, I have a huge collection of vintage 60s and 70s German ceramics and pottery in my home.
