activity update.

My activity will be very sporadic from now until at least May because of all the work I am doing with law school and my work clinics, basically things are going to become very busy and I am already having a hard time juggling everything that’s going on and trying to find time to do everything.

So unfortunately RP for the moment has to be set aside in favor of my school work and getting a good enough grade so I don’t flunk out of law school. I don’t want RP to become a chore along with all my other work.

I will still pop in when I can to do a few replies if I have some free time so please don’t think that I am giving up on any of my threads, I will still get to all of them eventually, it will just take a while for the replies to come given everything that’s going on with school.

My activity should return to normal once all the school drama is dealt with.

She wasn’t sure she wanted to list out her sins- actually she knew for a fact she didn’t want to list out her sins to her grandson. She just needed him to stop imagining something not so true about either of them.

“I just think...maybe it’s better if I leave...you know...get out of you guys’ way...maybe I can, you know, get to see the world before whatever else happens in the end...” Deke couldn’t quite meet her eyes as he spoke. He just thinks maybe it’s for the best that he doesn’t stay. They seem to work well without him. He’s just a useless person hanging around, he’s just holding them back.

“Thinks are going to change, I promise you that Deke.” They’d free humanity or avenge them. Hopefully the first but the would do what they could- change the timeline if it could be changed…

“What’s going to happen to me? Will I be able to stay, once you changed things?” Deke wasn’t sure. He thought maybe he could stay. Mom used to talk about the multiverse theory, but what if changing the world means Deke himself will disappear?

“It’s alright,” Jemma said stepping into the light and feeling it dance around her skin. A burning like the sun, so bright and so strong it made her fingers tingle, but it was good. It felt like she had gone from not seeing the sun for months to standing in it’s bright rays. She pulled more and more of the energy away and she saw it, the source, a boy. 

“I’m here now. I’m here with you.” She punctuated the words by placing her hand on his chest. Calm! She ordered the light, trying to force order to the chaos that was pouring from the boy. 

He gasps when he feels a hand on his chest. Afraid of its touch, fearing it would hurt him. But for the first time in his life, it wasn’t pain that found him. It was actually a strange sense of calm. The chaos that surrounded as if responding to the new presence and the pain fading away to something that didn’t feel like it was tearing him apart.

The light surrounding him slowly ebb away from its intense glow to the point that the whole room was no longer illuminated. The room, the child strapped to the bed, it all could be seen again. Deke still couldn’t see though, but he didn’t feel as scared as he was before, “Thank you...thank you...” Whoever it was, he felt safe.

Yuan looked up to the boy for a moment then chuckled softly, shaking her head. though continued to limp towards the medical bay. “No… nothing that can’t be healed.” It was just a result of running into a new but bad inhuman, Lash. 

But she stayed away from SHIELD for the past 3 years since she, as Melinda May, was locked up for a crime she didn’t commit, and promptly executed by the US government for it (and the fact she found out about hydra in their ranks) 

Since then, living in the Lighthouse and leading an inhuman group was her goal since Afterlife’s collapse, and rescuing the turning inhumans from the government, SHIELD and anyone who wished them harm. Finding Deke had been a surprise at first but he was alone and she found him refreshing to be around, even if he didn’t know much about her aside the fact she was inhuman and went by another name, Eleanor Yuan.   

“Try… a big ugly inhuman with a nasty burning power.”

Deke followed behind the older woman. He tended to do that a lot these days. After all, it’s not as if he knows anything about anyone else in this very strange world that is nothing like the life he once knew in the future.

“That looks like it’s going to need more than a band-aid.” He looked at the wound curiously. It really did look rather bad, nothing like the cut he had once that they just put a band-aid on.

He frowns as she talks about a big ugly inhuman with a nasty burning power, “You shouldn’t go out there if there is a big bad guy waiting...maybe someone else can go...I don’t want to lose you....”

He doesn’t like the idea of being alone again.

“I thought no one would die before but they did, they always did. I failed- please don’t let me fail you too.” She pleaded with him. “Run, save yourself. You’ve got so much- You have so much to live for.”

“You have just as much to live for too. You promised to show me all those things, to teach me, don’t you break that promise to me.” Deke thought it might be a low blow, but if that’s what’s going to make her keep fighting to live then Deke will say what he needs to say to keep her alive.

“You only said that because of the food,” Jemma chuckles, finding a bit more of herself in the ease she feels when alone with Deke. There is something familiar about him and she wishes she could understand if it has to do with the mysterious man she’s supposed to end up with. 

“Oh, my grandmother? She was incredible. She loved traveling and adventure, and she was so… loving and sweet to me and my siblings, and… well, she was so… loud and funny and loved being at the center of attention, she always wore the most inappropriate colorful dresses just to drive my mother crazy,” she grinned at the memory, an actual wide smile, “Our family was… important. Rich. High class. And that was supposed to mean decorum and more appropriate choices and my grandma wanted none of it. She loved being different. And she always told me that my sister and I were special in our own way. Called me her little Supernova, because she said I’d be brighter than a star one day…” Boy, had she been wrong. Her smile fell at the thought, but then she looked softly at her grandson, “She’d have adored you.”

“Well only the best grandmas make food this good...” Deke shrugged in reply as he continued to stuff his face full of food. At this rate, he was sure he was going to devour the entire stack of food sitting in storage before all this nightmare is over, and maybe that’s a great idea.

Deke enjoyed listening to Jemma telling him about her family. The stories enthralled him given he never really knew that much about the history of his family other than the little stories about his grandparents, certainly not his great-grandparents. “Siblings? You had siblings? What’s that like?” Deke had thought about wanting a sibling but given everything that’s happened, it didn’t seem very prudent for his parents to have considered bringing another child into the world. Not that they’d have had any choice if the Kree had wanted them to have another child, though that would have been a child created by the Kree. He’d seen some others on the Lighthouse with siblings, but Deke had always been alone. Sometimes he thought that was a good thing, it meant he didn’t have anyone else to worry about. But other times, he feels like having a sibling may have made him feel less alone.

“Merry Christmas, Deke,” the engineer said, handing the box to his grandson. “Assumin’ Jemma didn’t get you the same thing, anyway.”

RP SCHEDULE

so since I am back in school (and I will have to focus a lot on school so I don’t fall below my GPA requirement and not get kicked out) and won’t have a lot of free time on here, I have decided to do my replies/starters on a queue.

basically, every Friday night, I will take everything I get that week (I have around 14 blogs) , do the drafts, and put them into the queue.

this way it allows me to focus on other stuff throughout the week when I know that I have one allotted night to catch up on all the posts instead of doing replies immediately as I receive a respond - it takes off some of the pressure for that so I can focus on school work.

so starting this Friday, this schedule will be in effect.

but as always, I am almost always on discord (since I’m hardly ever away from my phone) so if you want to chat or plot or anything, please feel free to poke at me!

activity drop.

activity will be dropped to really slow and sporadic from now as I’ll be busy with getting school stuff ready and the spring semester is starting back up next week

I actually really need to have two of my classes’ grades be really good or I could be kicked out of law school so a lot of my focus this spring will be on my classes.

I will still be around whenever I can and do replies or memes and such, but I will just not be very active but multuals are always welcome to poke me on discord to chat!

The response was an urgent hiss.  “Will you be quiet?!”  Not that Deke had anything wrong with noises on principle, but if the Kree heard that something weird was happening and came to investigate, they’d both be goners.  Not to mention the roaches.  “I am not ready to become a vacancy, okay?  Not for like, a bunch more years!”  Anything from ten to fifty, he wasn’t picky, really.  “I’m not going to hurt you, not unless you’re secretly one of the blues.”

Deke stayed as far away from the other person as possible, making sure he was not in the other’s reach. He didn’t trust him, there was no way to know if he’s a good person or not. He might be one of those people that help the Krees. Deke did stay quiet though because the man had a point, he didn’t want to attract unwanted attention, “Who are you?” The boy asked, trying to be as quiet as possible.

TEMPORARY HIATUS ENDING THIS WEEKEND.

so i put up a temp hiatus because of grade/school worries, but at this point, there’s nothing i can do except waiting for official verification. if anything goes wrong, it will have to be until after all the verification goes through and that may not even be decided until after this next semester is done.

with all that said, i will simply continue to keep RP and writing until that time comes and i will deal with it then.

so i will be back on writing once this weekend starts!
