It would help me (and i’m sure others) SO MUCH. Some info it would have is:

every canon newsie in both 92sies and livesies (nickname, full name, age, bday, personality, nationality, which borough they’re from, photos from each iteration)

explanations/definitions of our vocabulary (fansies, 92sies, uksies, toursies, why do we add ‘sies’ to everything)

all the most popular memes and inside jokes with links to their origins (poor guys head, max’s mom made cookies, etc)

an UNBIASED breakdown of all the most popular ships, ship names, canon reasons for shipping, etc

who plays each character in each iteration (including all various broadway casts)

for hobbies headcannon

the guy who played Davey at my school played piano so I always assumed Davey would play piano

Omg yess!! I’ve seen some people also say that Davey would play piano, so i’m glad you brought it up :)))

I’d like to think Davey started playing piano when he was a kid. Maybe his mother started to teach him the basics for fun, then he took to it, rapidly improved and started learning entire symphonies within days/weeks.

He doesn’t just learn music though, I’d like to think he plays around with chord progressions and compositions, trying to write his own songs. He has a hard time with making his pieces ‘emotional’, though, to him they always sound hollow and uninteresting. Davey can never tell if he lacks the talent for songwriting, or he’s just being hard on himself.

Davey gets embarrassed and flustered easily, so he hardly ever lets people outside his mother and Sarah hear him play. But if he does, or if someone overhears him, it’s instantly obvious how invested Davey is when he plays. He definitely gets ‘lost in the music’, not noticing anything around him once he starts playing.

Also Jack definitely LOVES the fact Davey plays piano, and constantly begs him to play him something, or jokingly asks, “you gonna write a song ‘bout me?” Davey gets very embarrassed whenever he does this, but inside, he loves it.

i think jack would totally know how to knit - newsies headcanon

Hear me out. Jack was def a very hyperactive adhd kid. Plus, he’s very traumatized, and I like to imagine that in order to calm him down, Medda taught him to knit. He picked it up quickly, as he does with most art forms, and soon took to it as a hobby and form of decompression. Jack also would knit when he was going through painter’s block.

He would start by just making several scrap squares and panels, which Medda would then sew into blankets and rugs, or maybe use in set design at the theater. Then, he started making hats and scarves for the newsies to use in the winter. I like to think that each of them were made with someone specifically in mind, and each of them treasure the piece Jack gave them.

Also, just imagine him knitting sweater vests for Davey. He’d make one of every color and pattern, and when he finished one, Davey would wear it everywhere to show how proud of Jack he is. When Jack would see Davey wearing it, he would totally blush and get all giddy.

idkk just a really random headcanon i thought of. I’d like to do more ‘hobbies’ that the newsies have. pls pitch in with ideas or suggestions. thx!!

Dill (Darcy x Bill): i actually really like this one!! I totally think katherine and darcy get together for tea or lunch and gossip about their crushes.

Ralbert (Race x Albert): i like it… i just like sprace so much more loll. it’s cute tho, they’re both just oblivious idiots

Crackvey?? (idk what to call it but Jack x Crutchy x Davey): okay… HEAR ME OUT. it’d be so wholesome!! like a really cute throuple omgg

Blush (Blink x Mush): OMG YESSS THEYRE SO CUTE. i kinda think they’re javey but in a different font. haven’t actually read -too- much of them, i need fics lol

Redfinch (Albert x Finch): yes. not much to say, just yes.

Javerine (Jack x Davey x Katherine): ehhh i don’t really like them in a throuple, i much prefer just jack dating both of them at the same time in an open relationship. I just don’t see davey and kath having -any- chemistry or desire to date each other.

Hotspot (Hotshot x Spot): tbh i just think this is funny.

Jatherine (Jack x Katherine): it’s okay, not inherently bad, but it’s ehhh (mostly cause i love javey). i don’t mind when they’re written as exes or former crushes on good terms, but they’re just friends imo.

Jarah (Jack x Sarah): again, ehhh. except it’s worse cause they literally have no chemistry. like why… davey was right there.

Javid/Javey (Jack x Davey): LOVE IT OMG THEYRE ADORABLE AND DESERVE ALL THE HAPPINESS. theres the OBVIOUS gayness happening between them in both 92sies and livesies, and its a crime it wasn’t canon. i’ll fight anyone who disagrees

Newsbians/Karah (Katherine x Sarah): ahh i love them sm!!! idc if they weren’t in the same version, they’re adorable. i like the idea of taking both of jack’s love interests and turning them gay. iconic

Sprace (Spot x Race): LOVE IT SO MUCH. it -may- be my fav newsies ship (possibly just cause i love race so much… but still!) All the fanfics are incredible, especially given the lack of canon interactions between the two characters. their personalities just make such a dynamic pair.

Jack x Crutchy (what do you call this??): the ONLY way i like it is in livesies, and even then i had to be convinced by some good fanfics. It’s cute tho. I still end up preferring their brother dynamic to a romantic one

Oscar x Davey: JAIL. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. need i explain further???

cause for Davey I def think it would be sarah, like the sibling bond is unmatched and adorable

but for Jack i’m unsure. like, it’d most likely be one of the newsies, esp crutchy or race, but also i think maybe?? he would pick katherine? she would def be extremely supportive to jack and david and would be important to include in their wedding…
