The world population had been declining after the rise of a deadly disease. People died in groups and the government had tried to prevent the spread.
But their attempts were in vain.
Decades after the virus had finally been tamed. The world had been left with only one third of its population remaining. The economies across the countries crashed and people had to rebuild themselves slowly.
However, that all came to a halt when the government suddenly introduced a new bill.
They had planned for a procreating program. In which scientists were able to develop a new technology wavelength that can determine what person is more biologically compatible with another person.
The government had ordered people to come to the nearest available clinics in order for the scientists to collect a sample of their blood. Of your blood.
Months passed after the collection of blood and suddenly a group of soldiers, along with scientists, stormed inside the houses of people and marked them with bracelet bands.
The soldiers sedated everyone and transported them to an underground warehouse. The warehouse itself was an underground bunker with scientists roaming around in their lab coats.
The underground facility was huge- it could be considered an underground city if the president decided to. But he didn’t.
When you woke up, you noticed you were inside a room with white walls. The floor and ceiling were white. Even the lights were white. Everything was white, except for the red bed you were currently in.
They had laid you down on a bed full of pillows and blankets. Your eyes blurred as they adjusted to the lights of the room.
Sitting up, you’ve noticed- and probably felt- the presence of someone laying down next to you. You looked over at the person and noticed it was a man.
He was waking up as well. He had dirty blonde hair and looked to be tall and broad. His features were rough and masculine, with his stubble being noticeable under the harsh lighting. As you sat up, he slowly sat up as well and took in the environment. When both of you laid eyes on each other, you both let out a gasp and quickly got off the bed.
You quickly realized what either of you were wearing. They had changed you into a skimpy satin nightgown while he was wearing a silk pajama set that revealed his chest due to the V-line cut.
The intercom from the room turned on and a person spoke,
“Good morning to you two. I’m sure you’re both confused and scared but afraid be not. We’re ensuring your safety at this establishment. As you both can see, you’re both wearing the same color of wristbands.”
You looked down at your right wrist and saw the green wristband, your eyes trailed towards the man and his was also green.
“This means that both of you are biologically compatible. Our goal here is to not hurt you. We’re simply trying to bring back the population back to where it should be and we need your help.”
Your eyes widened and so did his. The man’s eyebrows pinched together as look of suspicion and anger appeared on his face. But he didn’t say anything.
“I’m sure you both know what this means. You have the remainder of the day to get started. We expect positive results since we’ve run extensive research on your genetics. That is all, get started.”
Essentially, they wanted you to have sex with a stranger. That’s revolting.
You turned your gaze back to the man, his blue eyes stood out from his features. Neither of you said anything. It was all too
awkward. You glanced at the bed and then back at him. How do you even start something so intimate?
“Um-“ you started quietly, “So
we’re compatible.”
The man simply stared at you and then back at his wrist. He nodded, “Yeah. Seems so.”
“Should I-“
“We don’t have to do anything,” he interrupted you, “What’re they going to do if we do nothing? They can’t kill us. Those mad scientists need as many people as possible and if they killed you or me then what’s the whole point of this?”
You sighed and nodded. He was right in a way. Even if you disobeyed they couldn’t kill you, right?
Sitting at the edge of the bed, you begin to wonder everything that has happened so far. They’re making everyone breeding machines- is what you thought.
Before all of this, you were living your life the way you wanted it. And now you were forced to have a baby with someone you don’t know. All for the sake of humanity.
It was cruel.
“What do we do instead?” You asked quietly.
“Find a way out of here,” he responded as he walked around the room and tried to find an exit. There was no door. No windows. Nothing. As if you two were put in a white box.
He was getting frustrated that he had been put in this position. He didn’t want any of this, not with you. It wasn’t personal but he didn’t know you.
“There’s no way out,” he spoke after some time. It didn’t take a genius to know that you two were locked in this space.
“Do they really want us to
” your voice trailed off as you stared at him. He looked back at you and shrugged, “Maybe. Those crazy bastards are probably stressing about the human race dying or whatever.”
After a moment of silence, you could smell something. Something that smelled good.
“Is that you?” He asked. He also smelled something.
“I was just about to ask if it was you too,” you replied.
He furrowed his brows and sat next to you. He leaned closer to your neck and inhaled softly.
“It’s the both of us,” he whispered. You stared into his eyes at the proximity.
What was happening?
Did the scientists do something? Why did he suddenly look more attractive and smelled enticing?
You leaned back and got up from the bed. Panic started to run through your veins. “Do you think-“
He raised a brow and sat in the edge of the bed as he watched you pace around the room. You hadn’t noticed but he was secretly checking you out in that nightgown. He felt shame and quickly looked away- this wasn’t him.
“Do you think they put something on us?” You asked, your tone laced with anxiety.
The man sighed and ran a hand through his blonde hair, “I don’t know. But they sure know what they’re doing.”
“We should just get on with it. They won’t let us out anytime soon. But maybe they will once we had sex, right?” You asked with a rushed tone. Thoughts occupied your mind and all you wanted to do was get out of this sick and twisted place.
He looked at you with a worried expression, “Are you sure? I mean, we don’t even know each other’s names and-“
“Y/n. My name is y/n,” you interrupted him.
The man raised his brows in surprise and let out an airy chuckle, “Well okay. Name’s Leon.”
He extended his hand out for a handshake and you hesitantly took it. His hands were rough and calloused. Almost made you wonder how they’d feel inside your wet and tight-
What.
You quickly withdrew your hand and looked away. What was going on with you?
“You really want to do this?” He asked softly. You looked at him and swallowed hard. Did you? Or was it whatever the scientists gave you that spoke for you? Either way, you still wanted to get out of this place.
“If fucking you is the only way that could get us out of here then so be it,” you muttered and walked back to the bed.
You sat next to him, shoulders touching.
“Okay then
” he replied quietly, “Guess this is our first date, huh?” He joked.
You looked at him with furrowed brows, how did he have the spirits to joke times like these? Men.
You sat down next to him on the bed, staring at him. He stared right back at you and his gaze fell to your lips. He then leaned in to whisper in your ear, "Can I?”
He put his hand on your cheek as his other hand landed on your thigh. You silently nodded and closed your eyes as he leaned closer to your face.
His breath fanned your lips and all you could do was close your eyes as he finally put his lips on your lips.
The hand on your cheek traveled to the back of your head as he pulled you closer, your hands traveled to his shoulders as you deepened the kiss.
It was a slow, passionate kiss- albeit the current circumstances.
His tongue grazed your bottom lip and you parted your lips just enough for his tongue to delve inside your mouth, exploring every crevice.
The hand on your thigh went higher up to the hem of your nightgown, squeezing the skin gently in between his finger. You moaned into his mouth as he gently hit your bottom lip.
You’ve already started to feel aroused and wet, even though there was a lingering thought in the back of your head telling you that this is wrong.
He leaned closer to you, pushing you down gently until your back finally touches the bed. Leon’s hands moved around your body as he kissed you, his knee right in between your legs causing you to moan quietly.
He smirked at your reaction and moved his lips down to your neck as he pressed his knee into your wet cunt. You couldn’t help but grind on his knee as he sucked your neck. Leaving bruises and hickeys for you to worry about tomorrow.
Your hands wrapped around his biceps as his hands held your waist and squeezed just a tad bit.
He slowly brought his lips down to your collarbone before one of his hands pulled the straps of your nightgown down. Causing the dress to slip down to your waist, revealing your breasts to him.
He pulled back and stared at your hardened nipples with a slight smirk. His fingers hovered over them as he kept teasing you. Then he leaned down to suck the right one, as his hand began to roll your nipple in between his fingers. Your back arched against him and that only caused him to groan at the bliss of sucking your tit.
Your legs squeezed around his as he rubbed it slightly against your covered cunt. He could feel the wetness seeping through the fabric of your panties and that only turned him on even more.
His erection, confined against his clothes, rubbed along your stomach. You could almost feel it twitch as you felt it. Almost.
He pulled back from your right breast and moved on to the second one. His teeth grazed at your nipple as his hand gripped the previously sucked one.
And all you could do was moan and squirm under him.
He moved his lips down from your breasts to your stomach before ripping your nightgown apart and throwing it down on the white floor. Leaving you in your panties.
His lips trailed kisses until he met the waistband of your panties. His fingers ran down your thighs as he slowly parted them, lowering himself until he felt his knees touch the floor. His head was right in between your legs and he stared at the wet spot on the slit of your panties.
He brought a finger and stroked the slit from top to bottom, he made sure to apply just enough pressure for you to not only feel how wet you were but also to feel the way his fingers wanted to prod inside.
You closed your eyes tightly shut as your toes curled. This was all too much and he hasn’t even started. He chuckled lowly, seeing how you were reacting made his pride increase just a little.
He firmly pressed your thighs down on the bed as he brought his face back to the waistband and began to pull your panties down with his teeth. Once they had reached your thighs, he pulled them off with his hands and let them fall on the floor.
You were shining and glistening. His mouth watered and all he wanted to do was dive in. And so he did.
Almost immediately he struck his tongue into your wet hole, licking around as he savored you. He moaned as he tasted you, he’d never tasted something like you and he wanted more.
His thumb circled around your clit, his speed shifting from fast to slow as he watched how much that affected you. He dragged his tongue all the way up and down, sucking your wall and letting them feel just how spongy they are. He then pulled back and moved his thumb away from your clit- which caused to whine in protest.
He gave you a look, one that made you more wet. His eyes piercing yours as he thrusted one finger inside you. He let his index finger stay there for about ten seconds before he actually began to move it. He curled it around as he experimented with what way got you most closest to your orgasm.
His finger curled inside you as he kissed your clit. Sucking it and gently pulling it with his teeth. He took out his finger and then thrusted two fingers inside, causing your mouth to gaze open and let your head roll back against the mattress. He scissored you- fucked you with his fingers.
Pulling out and thrusting all the way back in. His callouses rubbed against your walls, bringing new sensations that you never thought you’d ever experience.
One his index finger hit the spot that made you moan a little too loud, he knew he’d found it. He curled his fingers even more rapidly as he rubbed that spot inside you. Brushing the pad of his middle finger against it, igniting something within you. Your body felt warm and sweaty.
You were coming undone by a complete stranger that is allegedly compatible with you. Your hands traveled to the top of his head and pulled his face closer to your hide. His nose bumped against your slit, his chin hitting fingers. But he didn’t mind, he knew you were close and he wanted you to cum on his face.
He licked your clit as you grinded against his face, your breaths became short and your grip tightened. With a gasped moan, you came on Leon’s face. Your cum spilling down his fingers and chin. He pulled out his fingers and licked as much as he could, swallowing the grace that came out of you.
Once he finished licking you clean, he pulled back and stared at you with dilated pupils. The black consuming all of the blue as he stared at you like a hunter. He got up from the floor and stared down at you as he became mesmerized with your body.
He pulled his shirt over his head, exposing his broad and muscled chest. He then pulled down on his pants, revealing the bulge in his underwear. Pre-cum leaking through the fabric.
You almost drooled and quickly sat up. Crawling your way to him, you sat on your knees as he caressed your head, encouraging you to do whatever you wanted with his dick.
Your hands cupped his bulge and he instantly inhaled sharply. He shuddered at your touch and so you slowly pulled the waistband of his underwear down, watching in awe as his cock sprung free.
The pink tip leaking ore-cum as aforementioned was a sight to behold. Your hand wrapped around his base as you brought your lips over to the head. Kissing it softly as your hand stroked up and down his shaft. He closed his eyes and gripped on your hair, strands meddling in between his fingers.
Your tongue dragged all the down to the bottom, to his ballsack. He shuddered and bucked his hips against your face, smearing pre-cum along your cheek. You parted your lips and slowly took him inside your mouth.
Your hands found his balls and you slowly massaged them, causing him to groan and moan loudly as his grip tightened.
As his dick was inside your mouth, your tongue flicked down the frenulum- just the underside of the tip where the head and the base join. He gasped softly and moaned as he felt you flick your tongue on his sweet spot.
Your tongue slowly moved down from his frenulum to his base, tongue slurping and swirling around as you took him deeper and deeper into your throat. Not deep enough that you’d start gagging because that would probably not feel good.
Instead, you took one of your hands and resumed stroking the remaining parts of his base as you sucked on on the part that fit in your mouth.
Leon was a complete mess; moaning and whimpering as you took him in your mouth. His feet flat on the floor as he looked down at you with pure list and desire. Your eyes met his and he only felt even more turned on.
His cock started to twitch in your mouth and you knew he was about to cum. You continued to stroke his balls and base as your tongue worked its magic on his head and frenulum.
With a loud groan, he gripped your head and forced his entire cock inside your mouth and shot his cum down your throat. Tears pricked at your eyes as you moaned softly as the sensation of his juices spilling down your esophagus. It was warm, you thought.
He pulled back breathlessly and watched as you swallowed his cum. Once he pulled back, some of his cum smeared on your lips and he watched as you licked it back in your mouth. The sight turned him on again and his cock got hard.
Leon got on the bed and slowly pushed you down again. He took hold of your thighs and brought them up to your chest, “Hold,” he demanded in a sultry and low voice.
Your hands wrapped around the back of your thighs as you held them pressed up against your breasts. He aligned his cock to your entrance and slowly pushed in.
“Fuck- so tight,” he muttered as he gasped for air. You rolled your head back and whimpered as he pushed himself all the way through. His pelvic bone making contact with your bone as he slowly began to thrust- not fully out though.
He rolled his hips in a way that wouldn’t allow his cock to leave you completely just yet. He was going slow and gentle, making sure you’ve adjusted first before he picked up the pace.
Once he saw your reaction- face scrunched up in delight as you moaned quietly and breathlessly. He pulled out and then pushed back in with force.
Leon couldn’t control himself anymore. His hands pushed your knees even more down against the mattress, your hamstrings flexing as he pushed this position even more further.
Your breathing increased- chest heaving up and down. His ballsack slapping against your asshole, causing your wetness to spread throughout your both bodies. His tip gently brushed up against your cervix as he plunged in. One of his hands went down to your clit and began to circle it.
You writhed and moaned even more as he simultaneously triggered your two sweet spots. It was all so overwhelming and your mind went blank.
He was fucking you dumb and you loved it. Your jaw went slack, drool coming out from the ends of your lips. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as you still held on to your thighs.
He left go of your knees and gripped your hips, the sound of wet skin smacking echoing through the room.
“Gonna cum,” he muttered. He leaned down to whisper in your ear, “I’m gonna breed you
fuck- gonna be a good girl f’me right?” He grunted as he kept pounding into you.
His knuckles were turning white from how hard he gripped the fat skin of your hips, as if he was holding on for dear life. You nodded, “Yes,” you breathed out shamelessly.
He grunted some more against your ear and that only caused you to grow closer to your second orgasm. This man was so vocal but it was hot.
“Ngh- fuck,” he moaned as he shot his cum deep into your cunt. Cum spirting into your womb, making sure you took everything without spilling it.
He pulled put and motioned for you to roll over. You obliged and rolled over until you laid down on your stomach. He took hold of your hips once again, raising your ass to his level as he thrusted his cock inside you from behind.
Your face planted against one of the pillow and your hands gripped the bedsheets as your moans came out muffled. Somehow, he hit deeper in this position. His hands went from your hips to your waist and he squeezed it gently.
As he continued to pound into you, your ass cheeks juggling from the force of motion, he took your hair in one hand and pulled your head up. Your eyes were closed as you moaned. This was all so much but you needed more. Completely drunk on his cock is what you were.
He leaned down as he pulled on your hair, “Like it when I fuck you like this, huh?” He taunted. His words were sent straight to your pussy as it caused you to clench around him. You nodded and blabbered stupid yes’s.
“Gonna show me how much you like it?” He whispered as he pulled one and forcefully thrusted in you. You whimpered and moaned as you replied a breathy yes. He chuckled and continued fucking you like a mad dog.
He let go of your hair and wrapped his hand on the back of your neck, his fingers gently pressing on the sides of your throat. You felt lightheaded as he did so but it also added to how hot and turned on you were.
You felt your orgasm near as he continued. Your cunt clenched and pulsated around his cock and it only caused his moans to get short and breathy.
“Feel’s good,” he grunted in your ear. You could only mewl, moan, whimper- all of those sounds were the only things escaping your lips.
His other hand went down to your clit and he pinched it gently, causing a big moan to erupt from your mouth as you came on his cock. Essence spilling down from his shaft and onto the bed but neither of you cared. He groaned and his thrusts faltered slightly as you came on his cock, it felt even more tight and he closed his eyes for a moment as he continued.
But not long after you did he also cum inside you. For the second time. And it felt better than the first. You whimpered from the overstimulation as he shot his cum even deeper, the tip of his head brushing your cervix as his cum (and you were convinced) entered your womb with certainty.
He let go of the back of your throat and slowly pulled out of you. His cock softening as cum oozed out of your cunt and down on the bed. Both of you were left panting and you starting to feel sore and tired already. He looked around to try and find something to clean you with but couldn’t find anything.
So, he resorted to using his shirt to clean you off, “This might hurt,” he spoke softly as he gently pressed the fabric on your cunt and wiped the cum off. He tried to be as gentle as possible as he heard you take in sharp breaths. You were overstimulated and he started to feel bad for how hard he went.
He helped you lay down on your side and dressed you up. He put on your panties but then realized he had torn your nightgown.
“Sorry,” he mumbled shamefully. You shook your shoulders and looked at him with tired eyes, “It’s fine. They weren’t mine anyway.”
You both chuckled at that. You two had almost forgotten the situation you were both in, and maybe that was a good thing.
He pulled on his underwear and pants- since his shirt was used as a towel- and pulled the blanket over your body to give you some privacy. Even though he just fucked you.
He laid down behind you and wrapped his around your waist as he pulled you to him. Both of you closed your eyes and slept for a while, him nuzzling into your hair as your hands rested on top of his arms around your waist.
It was comforting. You felt cared for and that was all that mattered.
-
The two of you woke up to the sound of a door opening. Your eyes fluttered open almost immediately and you covered yourself with the blanket as Leon watched the scientists come in with a suspicious look. He narrowed his eyes as he saw them approach you.
“We’re going to take both of you to the examination room for testing,” one of them said. The other scientists gave you some new clothes before speaking, “We will wait outside.”
After they left, you exhaled loudly. You had forgotten you and the rest of the people were taken for insemination.
You slowly began to pull your new clothes on and walked out of the room with Leon next to you. The scientists saw you both and began to guide to a room down the hall, with two guards following behind you.
They had told Leon to wait in the lobby as they took you to a more private room. A female scientist came up to you and out on some elastic gloves, “I’ll be the one performing your pregnancy test. I’ll be taking your blood so please relax and take deep breaths for me.”
You sat down on the bed and followed her advice. There was no point in fighting or arguing since she clearly looked exhausted, probably overworked. But you couldn’t feel bad. You felt bitter at the fact that you now had turned into a baby machine- along with the rest of population.
With a sigh, you relax your tensed muscles as she took your arm gently and injected the needle on your vein. Blood began to draw from your arm and into a tube. Suddenly, you felt a wave of washiness. Fatigue overtook your body.
The test was over after a few minutes. The doctor withdrew the needle and put on a bandaid, “Okay. Off you go. Test results should be back in a couple of days. For now
I don’t know,” she shrugged tiredly as she moved over to the side of the room where she stored your blood sample with the rest.
There were at least 100 other blood samples. The mere sight disturbed you and you found yourself leaving the room hastily. Walking back to Leon, he looked at you concerned and gave you a once over to make sure you’re okay. Once he silently approved that you were okay, he spoke with a soft tone, “How do you feel?”
“Like shit,” you muttered. “Did you know that there’s a bunch of us here?” You whispered as your eyes searched around, “I don’t think we can leave.”
He furrowed his brows and looked at you, “Why not? We’ve done the deed, shouldn’t we be free to go home?”
You shook your head, “No. I don’t think so. I have a feeling we’ll be stuck here if the results come back positive.”
He sighed and looked away as the information set in. Freedom was so close, yet so far.
“So now we just wait?” He asked quietly to which you nodded.
“And now we wait.”
-
Days have passed and you two were called to a room. A scientist sat in the middle of the room, on his chair where he had stacks upon stacks of papers. Both of you sat down in front of the desk and waited for the scientist to notice you two.
“Ah- you’re here,” he muttered as he swiftly began to look for some papers.
“Alright
just to confirm the information is correct. You’re both Leon Kennedy and Y/n L/n?” The scientist asked.
The two of you nodded silently and the scientist continued, “Okay so, we have the results. You are pregnant. Which means we’ll have to keep you both under surveillance. You are to stay in this facility until the birth of your child. You will be assisted with the birth as well as the raising. We will provide all the essential services required for this procedure, all you two have to do is remain healthy. And please, for the love of God, be kind to the child. The couple before me kept on arguing so the least you two could do is pretend you love each other in front of the kid.”
You and Leon exchanged a glance and then looked back at the scientist. You knew this would happen, it was inevitable.
“Before I forget, you two got assigned a new room. On the second floor. Good luck and congratulations,” he said as he dismissed you both.
The two of you stood up and left the room, only to be met with two guards to escort you both to your new room.
You were to share a room but at this point, you didn’t care. You were too focused on thinking about the pregnancy that you had forgotten about Leon.
-
The more you hung out with Leon, you didn’t know if it was by force or nature, the more you realized how kind he truly is. He looked cold and mean on the exterior but inside he was just a man looking for love. Just like everyone else.
The pregnancy went just fine. Leon was there to support you 24/7 and so were the scientists.
When you had to give labor, Leon stood next to you and held your hand.
You gave birth to a beautiful boy. He had your hair while he had Leon’s eyes. You held your son in your arms and watched as Leon looked at you with awe.
What you weren’t expecting at all was that you fell for Leon. Even before the birth of your son, you and Leon actually began dating. The two of you shared some interests and actually liked to be around each other’s presence.
Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Maybe this was a new type of freedom for you.

“Accept suffering and achieve atonement through it - that is what you must do." - Fyodor Dostoevsky, Crime and Punishment

Days passed ever since the victory of Pruye. People began to work on the reconstruction of the fallen cities. People finally returned to their homes and it felt like a weight had been lifted off everyone’s shoulders. No more dictator, no more law.
Leon stayed in the base, sitting on a chair near your hospital bed as he waited for you to wake up. It’s been three days since you’ve been in the infirmary. Doctors and nurses would come in and check up on you, occasionally updating your charts.
He never left your side- only to use the restroom or get some food.
“Argh
” you groaned as you woke up, catching Leon’s attention. He quickly rested his hand on your shoulder, “Hey take it easy,” his voice soft and quiet.
You opened your eyes and met them adjust to the light, “Where am I? What happened?”
“You’ve been out for about three days
” he responded.
Your eyes widened at the revelation and then everything had started crashing down on you.
The battle.
The president.
Falling.
Blackness.
That was all you remembered. It didn’t take time for you to connect the dots.
You looked over at him, “Did we win?”
He took a deep breath and nodded, “You sure did.. President Mendez died and so did the soldiers.”
“So
it’s over? Everything is finally over?” You asked weakly.
Leon nodded once again and you sighed in relief.
Your efforts weren’t in vain. If someone were to ask the younger version of yourself that one day you’d lead a rebellion to victory, you’d probably laugh in their face.
But that was the truth. No matter what, you did this. You brought freedom to a land that had long forgotten what that felt like.
-
Recovery was easy. You stayed a few more days before you could get discharged. Leon and some insurgents would visit you and catch you up on things.
The cities had been rebuilt, there is no sole leader anymore. The country became an anarchy.
But that didn’t matter to you.
No one told you the effects of being a war veteran.
Nightmares kept you up, certain sounds made you remember those bloody days- it was true hell. You weren’t okay and maybe it was time to finally acknowledge that.
You found yourself on a building- a memorial building for the fallen insurgents and other victims from the battle.
The building contained the history of when everything first started to when things ended. As you walked through the halls, you saw objects laying around. The guns that were used, the uniforms from both sides. It felt like a museum more than a memorial but maybe that was just you.
Behind the building was a cemetery. You walked through the grass until you stopped in front of two gravestones.
Esme and Franco.
It felt weird standing in front of the remnants of your friends. It was like they were there but also weren’t.
Death was a real mystery. You rest but you leave behind pain to others. That’s such a cruel thing to do. Death was nothing near comfort. It was unfair and cruel. But there was nothing anyone can do. We all have a countdown to our death.
You could die in the next five minutes. Maybe tomorrow or maybe in ten years. No one knows but everyone knows that death is inevitable.
War messed up with your concept of death. Death was something to be meant with meaning. Something that was supposed to be relieving and beautiful. But now? Now you see it as punishment.
Life is sanctity. There is no reason why someone should take someone else’s life. It’s not just. It’s not right. But yet human kind still finds ways to bend the beauty of nature and contaminate everything with the greed for power.
As you stood in front of the gravestones, you felt bitter. Not at them for dying but for leaving you alone.
But it was not their fault. No ones at fault for dying and yet you couldn’t pin point the cause of your emotions. And what better way to feel better about yourself than projecting it into inanimate things? It’s not like Esme and Franco are coming back from the dead.
Because they won’t. They’re gone. Forever.
All they are now, are just fragments of memories and pieces of what was.
You didn’t cry, you couldn’t. Because if you did then it be confirmation that they were gone.
Their presence was gone. Their voices were gone. They no longer existed and that is a pain no one should go through.
Life is supposed to be a blessing but now it all felt like it was just a curse.
If there is a god then you’d understand why humans were cursed with such small lifespans. We are evil, even if we claim to be otherwise. No one is purely good, no one is innocent. We all bear the bearings of sin and evil.
Because you finally understood that the world is nothing like the novels. At all.
You walked up to Yarina’s grave. It was the biggest one with an Athena statue. Fitting, you thought.
No one is prepared for the death of someone. What are you supposed to do? Forget that your friend no longer exists within the same universe as you?
And yet you were. People move on and soon they’ll forget their dead friends, including you. It’s not bad, per say, but it’s saddening. To let go of the last piece you have of them- a memory.
A memory is what they became. A distant one because you wanted to forget everything already.
Esme, Franco, and Yarina
they’re all a distant fragment of the memories you tried to forget.
-
Leon had to go back to the U.S. and it made you sad. You were getting used to him.
The helicopter landed on the helipad, prompting Leon to get on it. But he stopped mid walk to look at you. He seemed hesitant.
“Come with me,” he blurted out.
“What?”
“Come with me. Live with me in America.”
Your mouth gaped open as you tried to speak but nothing came out. He walked up to you and held your hands in his, “C’mon Y/n
we both know you don’t want to be here anymore. Come back home with me. I’ll let you stay at my place until you settled in. I’ll show you around. We can build a new life together
away from all of this. Just you and me.”
You stared up at his blue eyes and nodded slowly, “Okay
 I will.”
He smiled softly and leaned down to kiss you softly. You hummed in response and kissed him back, just a softly as well. He pulled back and interlocked his fingers with yours as you two walked towards the helicopter.
A new life. Away from Pruye. Away from the memories.
A new life with Leon, the man who understood you inside and out. He has you all figured out and he didn’t leave. He stayed. That was all you needed to follow him to his home country.
You didn’t care that you left all your belongings behind. It would only remind you of the constant pain. Plus, Leon offered that you two should go shopping and spend time like normal people.
Like a normal couple.
A normal life.
And you couldn’t agree more. Leon was the blessing in disguise that you needed. And you were his ray of hope at being normal.
Trauma bonding works wonders. You two can’t seem to let each other go as your bond grows deeper than anything else.
-
Once you reached the state of Pennsylvania, he called an Uber for the two of you.
Leon’s house was modest. Being an agent brought financial stability yet he was humble and didn’t want to splurge all his money- he was too busy fighting anyway.
His house was two stories but small in size. You can’t blame him, Pennsylvania has had some housing problems lately but that was not of your concerns. You just got here.
He refused to let you sleep on the couch so you reluctantly agreed to sleep with him on his bed.
Leon let you borrow some of his pajamas- sweatpants and a tee. They fit big on you but it was okay. Loose clothing was more comfortable to sleep in anyway.
He laid behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist. Your back was pressed against his chest and for once you felt like you could finally sleep without waking up from the nightmares.
Leon brought you comfort. Leon was comfort.
And you were his comfort too. Leon didn’t need help falling asleep, he’s been dealing with this way longer than you but you clearly needed someone to be there for you. And he wanted to be that person.
Leon may be sarcastic and cocky at times but he’s a dedicated man with a heart. He cares a lot and would do anything for the betterment of the world. He’d do anything for you.
The age gap wasn’t something you two seemed to mind. What you two felt was not superficial and it went beyond just dating. It was as if your souls found each other after traveling through space and time.
Home. It was as if your souls were finally home together.
-
Leon kept his promise and the next day he took you out to see the city. He took you to the mall, where he offered to pay for your new clothes. You two went to eat at his favorite restaurant, you two visited the park near a river- it felt like you could breathe again.
You were glad to be away from Pruye and everything that had happened.
Slowly but surely you began to get better, and Leon was there to support you. You rebuilt your life- got a job, decided to apply to school, got your citizenship thanks to Leon’s connections. Life was finally beginning to look amazing for you.
You and Leon made life amazing together.

"If life be a war, it seemed my destiny to conduct it singlehanded." Charlotte Bronte, Villete

The plan was divided into three sections.
First, a team of helicopters and jets would shoot their bombs at the city states- more specifically the President’s tower.
Then, one half of the remaining insurgents would go straight into battle with their weapons.
And finally, the last remaining insurgents would hijack the technology of the tower right after the first half were able to take down a few soldiers.
The point of this plan was to take as much control as possible. If you could control the tower, you can control the country.
The tower was crucial.
You and Leon swerved into battle with your guns. Shooting along with the other insurgents. It was a blood bath right in the middle of the day.
What you didn't know was that the president had commanded to use BOWs in the battle. Different types of monsters came out from within the cities. But that didn't stop the insurgents from fighting. They had explosives to go around and this time, they wouldn't back down.
-
The president had been watching from the tower and she had commanded for all soldiers to use their weapons against the insurgents. Tanks and air forces were sent to counter their attacks but it did little to what their spirit was. And the president knew this.
"Do not stand back, tell them to keep shooting. If it must come to other measures, let them. Do not kill the American. I do not want a war with the United States." President Mendez commanded. The chief commander of military nodded and left the tower, leaving the president and her assistant alone for the time being.
-
The other insurgents helped you and Leon reach the tower by clearing out the way of soldiers and a singular BOW. You had anger driving you right up the stairs towards the president’s office where you knew she was currently in.
Leon followed right behind you, covering your back with his gun. He was concerned about you. Not because he thought you’d die but because he’s seen the way emotions turns people into something they wanted to avoid. And he didn’t want to see it in you.
You barged right into the president’s office, gun aimed at her head. She wasn’t nervous or scared, she saw this coming.
Slowly, President Mendez turned around to face you with her hands behind her head, “So. You lived.” Her voice was full of venom and slight mockery.
You took a step forward with your gun, “I did. But you won’t after tonight.”
President Mendez chuckled, “You came here to kill me,” it wasn’t a question, it was a restatement. As if she knew your plan all along. “Don’t you think you’re being too naive?” The president taunted as she looked straight at you, completely ignoring Leon’s presence.
“What do you would happen after I die? That you and your people will reach nirvana and live happily ever after without a government?”
You gripped your gun tighter and took a step closer to her, “We don’t need someone to govern us like you.”
“Oh, but you’re wrong... don’t you think your people will kill each other after the government collapses? Because let me tell you something,” she took a step closer to you and whispered, “Just because you fight for something doesn’t mean you actually deserve it.”
She smirked at you, as if she just beat you in chess. But you knew better. She was just trying to rile you up, to make you mess up.
“I think both of us don’t deserve anything for the shitty things we’ve committed,” you whispered harshly.
President Mendez laughed, “But there’s a difference between us. You have blood on your hands, you killed your own people. I never killed someone personally like you have.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, Mendez. You may have not killed someone with your own hands but you gave the command. You’re just as bad as me, maybe even worse,” your eyes were narrowed as you readied your gun to shoot her.
“Well then, I suppose the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” she smirked again.
You glared at her, feeling even more enraged, “I am nothing like you. Sure, I killed some people, but it was for our freedom. It was for the greater good.”
“Even if you had your heavenly reasons,” she replied, “you still killed nonetheless. You and I are not so different after all.”
President Mendez took out a syringe from her pocket, “You know, this all would’ve gone better if only you and the rest of your stupid people obeyed me.”
Leon took a step to stand next to you as his eyes grew suspicious of the syringe in her hands.
“All I ever wanted was to build a great nation and you just had to play hero and ruin it for me. You’re nothing but a pest in my way. And pests need to be eradicated,” she stabbed the string onto her arm and injected the clear liquid into her veins.
She grunted and fell on her knees as she started convulsing. Her body began to change and she started to take shape of a monster. The once ran skin turned into a grey-ish yellow and her claws began to form out of her hands. Her eyes changed color.
She became a bio organic weapon.
Leon quickly begins to shoot her with his gun. You followed suit and did the same. But Mendez wouldn’t back down, she swung her arm at you both, causing the window behind her to break.
An idea popped into your head, you needed to push her off.
You took a grenade from your pocket and threw it at her. She stumbled back and the building shook, you quickly lunged at her. Once you lunged at her, she lost her balance and fell backwards out of the window. Leon yelled your hair and tried to hold you before you fell, to which he was too late.
You and Mendez were fighting midair as you neared the floor. You two had just fallen from one of the top levels of the tower, death was inevitable. But you didn’t care. If you were going down, you’ll bring her with you.
Mendez fell first on her back, bones cracking being heard as you fell on top of her. Unoccupied insurgents hurried over to you and saw that Mendez had turned into a monster and had just fallen to her demise.
One of them pulled you out of her and before they set Mendez on fire, confirming for once and for all, her death.
Leon skipped steps on the stairs as he ran to you. Once he saw you with the other insurgents, he took you and carried you in his back.
“Keep fighting, I’ll take her back to base,” he told them. The others nodded and ran back to battle. Leon ran through the city and the forest before he finally made it to base.
The base was almost isolated, everyone was in battle. The children and teens were left behind. He ran towards the hospital wing and laid you down on the bed. He didn’t know what to do but he wanted to try and keep you alive. One of the kids approached Leon, she looked to be about 16.
“Let me help,” she stared quietly as she walked over to you. He’s seen this girl. Her mother was a doctor and was teaching her the ropes around the infirmary.
Leon nodded and took a step back as he let the young teenager do her work.
“Can I leave you in charge of her?” He asked in his serious tone. The girl nodded and he quickly ran out of the base. He needed to help end the regime by killing the remaining supporters.
And so he did. He entered the city and like a madman he shot soldiers left and right.
It was Raccoon City all over again. It was Spain all over again. It was China all over again.
The endless cycle of Leon’s life. Only this time, he wasn’t like his former self. This time he had a personal reason to finally let himself become the killing machine the US imposed on him.
You.
He saw himself in you. He saw the life and motivation in your eyes every time you spoke in a meeting.
For the first time in his life, he finally understood what his purpose truly was. It wasn’t just about saving people from impending doom. It wasn’t about the things he’s encountered- Nemesis, Tyrant- they all didn’t matter. It wasn’t just about the people either.
It was about him.
He finally realized why he even stayed in this field. It was because he felt good knowing he helped some people.
He felt good knowing that he helped you.
All his life prior to this moment he’s felt useless because all he could think about was how he couldn’t save everyone, especially in Raccoon City. But now that he saw the people of Pruye risk their lives willingly for survival. It brought him comfort to the idea that he wasn’t alone in battles.
He saw the way the insurgents never gave up. If they didn’t give up, what reason did he have to give it all away?
Leon didn’t want to just up and leave. Not anymore, sure it was a tiring job. But seeing the hopeful looks on children when the insurgents would tell them about their victories did something to him.
Made him realize he was human and he was allowed to feel.
-
The civilians of Pruye saw the death of President Mendez since it had been broadcasted live. They all saw how she fell out of the window to her death.
They saw the war. The blood and the screams.
The smoke from the explosions subdued as silence overtook the now destroyed city of San Bandero. Insurgents had managed to kill all soldiers. No one from Mendez’s team remained standing.
They had won.

Morning rolled up and you and Leon began to walk back to base. As you walked through the forest. The morning heat made your skin sweat as a slight breeze passed by. The forest began to get more dense- full of trees and tall grass. The sounds of the early birds chirping accompanied by the sound of you and Leon's footsteps snapped twigs under your feet.
However, a roar sounded off that caused you and Leon to stop walking and listen to it. It was loud enough to be heard at such distance. You gave Leon a look and he only looked around with a concentrated expression.
The ground shook as heavy footsteps began to approach you two. Something big was coming towards you, you drew your gun and so did Leon.
Both of you aiming your weapons in front of you as the ground trembled and the sound of something coming closer began to near you.
Your eyes widened and your mouth gaped open as you saw a monster stand in front of you. Leon knew this all too well. What stood in front of you was not just a monster.
It was a Bio Organic Weapon.
Its stature was above 12 feet. Its hands were three fingered with claws protruding out of its nail beds. It had no eyes, but its nose took up most of its lower face. The mouth was hanged opened, as if the jaw didn't work. The skin was grey and bloodied, along with certain scaled marked on its arms. It didn't seem to have any ears as well.
Every sound you made; it only made it take a step towards you. You quickly looked behind you to look at Leon. He only signaled you to be quiet by putting his index finger against his lips. You watched as he aimed his gun and began to analyze the creature. It must have a weak spot but finding it would be hard. It couldn't see and it couldn't hear, all it could was eat and smell.
You looked back at Leon and this time he tapped his nose. What did he mean by that? You pinched your brows together and then it hit you.
He wants to aim for its nose.
You aimed your gun up at the creature and began to shoot its nose, Leon following right behind you. The monster shrieked in pain and stumbled back. It held its bleeding nose and roared loudly, waves shaking the ground.
But neither of you stopped shooting. This thing needed to be put down one way or another.
You kept shooting until your magazine was empty. Cursing under your breath, you realized that you didn't have any ammo. Your eyes scanned the area in search for something that could help take that thing down.
As Leon kept shooting it on the nose, you looked up and saw a hill with a stone wall. It just so happens to be there. Ideas began surging through your mind. You could always just try to blow that wall and let the stones roll down the hill onto the monster.
You walked back to Leon and stood behind him, "I don't suppose you have a grenade in one of those pockets of yours?"
He looked at you for a brief moment before staring back at the monster, “Yeah, why?”
“Give it to me,” you extended your hand out to him and he looked at you with a raised brow.
“Don’t know if I can trust you with explosives,” he turned his attention back to the creature and reloaded the magazine of his gun.
“Do you trust me?”
He looked at you for a brief moment- seemingly thinking deeply about his answer. Eventually, he nodded and quickly reached into his pocket to take out a small green grenade.
You ran up closer to the hill and pulled in the circular hook of the grenade before throwing it at the stone wall. The ground shook as the impact had caused the stone wall to crumble down, boulders upon boulders rolling down towards you.
Leon’s eyes immediately widened as he saw what you had just done. He took your hand and began to run away. He pulled you to the side as he found a hiding place where the boulders wouldn’t crush you to bits.
The ministered growled and roared in pain as it got ran over and squashed by the stone boulders.
Guys and blood splattering everywhere throughout the perimeter. Blood raining down like it was just a normal rainy day.
Eventually, the sounds of the monster began to simmer down until it was no longer alive. You walked away from the hiding spot and saw the gruesome and disgusting remnants of what was once something.
You had to fight the urge to throw up, that’s how bad it was. Leon put his hand in your shoulder and motioned for you to keep walking, “Let’s go, the longer you stare at it, the more you’ll remember.”
Leon’s gold was gentle but firm. You let him drag you out of the forest, still feeling the aftershock of whatever that was.
-
You had called for a meeting with Leon and the other insurgents. Everyone gathered around the table and listened as Leon spoke up, “Y/n and I encountered something in the forest. It’s what we American agents call a Bio Organic Weapon. It’s s genetically mutated organism created by a virus. It is something that can used as a military weapon. And fighting it is not easy,” he explained.
“I’ve seen and fought these things and if your government has experimented with this then we might lose this war. We don’t stand a chance against a whole army of these things.”
You quickly interjected, “Virus? But there hasn’t been any virus that we know of. As far as I’m concerned, we’ve never seen anything like that.”
He looked at you, “Because your president disguised it as a medicine.” He turned his attention to the other insurgents, “Membario. A pseudonym for what we call the T-Virus.”
The room got quiet as his words settled in their minds. Membario? T-Virus? It was all starting to make sense.
“So
it was just an experiment,” one of the insurgents spoke up.
“But the president plans on capitalizing off of it,” another one spoke up as well.
The entire room began to get full of words and phrases being thrown out- mostly calling the president evil and a witch.
“President Mendez plans on selling this
virus to other countries knowing full well of its capabilities?” You asked in disbelief. It all sounded so absurd, almost like a fictional story.
“I can’t say for sure but it does seem that way,” he replied. All the other insurgents began to get mad. Not at him, but at the president. This gave them more reason to just keep fighting.
“Why don’t we just kill her?” One insurgent recommended. The room got really silent after they spoke up, the silence so deafening causing the atmosphere to become tense.
Assassinating the president? That wasn’t on your list at all.
“I don’t see why not,” another one said.
A lot of other insurgents actually agreed. They all wanted President Mendez dead. But you? For the first time, you hesitated.
Sure, your hands were no longer clean. They stained with blood but killing the president would not be easy. After learning that she might use those monster against you brought chills down your spine.
You couldn’t bare the thought of bringing people to their demise in such way. But it wasn’t your choice anymore.
You were put in this position and you knew the actions you’d had to take to liberate this country of its shitty government. You knew you had to be the one to end the most powerful person in this country. You were the chosen one.
-
President Mendez made another live broadcast. This time, it was a speech from her office.
“Dear citizens of Pruye, our medicine has now been fully distributed among the country. Soon, everyone will become immune to any illness and diseases known to mankind. We will not fall behind, we will rise to the top!”
Tanks and soldiers walked at every city in the country. She had expanded her military power nationwide.
-
“President Mendez is scared,” One of the insurgents said as someone turned off the broadcast, turning back towards the meeting going on.
“We cannot sit here and talk about taking action. It’s time we take action,” you spoke with a determined tone.
“Everyone, get your weapons ready. Let everyone know that we need every single person by the gates. Take your tanks, your bombs, your guns- hell, bring your machetes too. Today will be our last day. We will not hide anymore,”
“I will kill President Mendez.”
-
The President continued with her broadcast all throughout Pruye.
“A new curfew has been added. No one is to be wandering out the streets after 8P.M. If anyone is being seen wandering after that hour, they will get punished.”
“Weapons are no longer allowed in the possession of non-military. Including cold weapons. Soldiers have been authorized to do a house inspection, so please, do treat them kindly. If anyone finds themselves in the possession of a weapon of any degree, they will get punished.”
“Anyone associating with the rebellious group ‘Insurgent’ will receive the death penally. If anyone is being heard talking about overthrowing the government, they will receive the death penalty. Any form of treason will be met with the death penalty.”
“That is all, and remember: We are proud Pruyanians.”
The broadcast ended and soldiers began to storm each city state. Entering houses as they raided families.
Taking away everything deemed treasonous. This was a violation of their rights. This was how you controlled a society.

“The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future," - Oscar Wilde, A Woman of No Importance
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When the battle was over, Leon tried to find you. Other insurgents also began to question your whereabouts. No one had seen you or heard from you ever since the storming happened.
And all they could think about was the same thing that happened to Yarina.
It was cruel. To know that your leaders were bound to die by the hands of the greedy and yet they still kept fighting. The insurgents didn’t give up and neither did Leon. He promise he’d help and he always stuck to his promises.
-
It was daytime when the screen tower turned on to broadcast live footage. All citizens of Pruye, including the Insurgents, began to watch it as they thought it was going to be another message from the president.
However, that was not the case. The insurgents all gasped and murmured around themselves as clips of y/n and other insurgents were forced in a kneeling position on a stage with soldiers behind each one of them, guns pointed at the back of their heads.
Leon was walking through the base when his eyes fell on a tv up on the wall. His jaw fell down and he felt his heart stop for a minute at the sight of her in the same shoes as Yarina.
-
You know you should feel scared right now, you were at death’s doorstep. But somehow, you didn’t feel anything. You were numb- devoid of emotions. The only thing in your brain right now was finding a way to escape.
There were about 10 people lined up and you were the 8th person, on the far right end of the stage. The first person got shot. The sound echoing through the area as the other insurgents gasped and cried. But no one begged for mercy. Some prayed to be reunited with dead family members and others prayed for their families to remain alive and healthy. Their words imprinted on your brain and it only increased your impulsivity.
You needed to do something quick.
Things began to climax as the second person got shot. Their body falling forward with a thud as the third soldier prepared his gun.
You closed your eyes and began to take deep breaths, all while trying to drown out the sounds of the gunshots getting closer to your position.
And soon enough, the person next to you fell dead on the floor. The soldier behind you curled his finger in the trigger but right before he could pull it, you quickly and swiftly turned around with speed and swiped your leg under him, causing him to fall. The soldier fell down and dropped his gun to the floor, the other soldiers quickly raised their guns at you and began to shoot- which they failed to aim.
You got up and quickly ran down the stage and towards the forest. The soldiers didn’t stop shooting behind you and a few bullets hit you. But you still managed to run away. The soldiers stopped shooting, as per order of the president, and she figured you’d just bleed to death in the forest with the help of no one.
“Kill the rest quickly,” she ordered as she walked back inside the tower. Two soldiers killed the last two insurgents, ending the day live broadcast.
-
Leon, as well as the others, saw the way you managed to escape. Some cheered and some grew worried. But Leon? Leon didn’t register the way his feet began to move towards the gate of the base- ready to find you in the forest. He didn’t want to lose someone else and he’d stay up all day trying to find you.
And so he ran. He ran further into the forest, straining his hearing and squinting his eyes just to help him find you faster.
Eventually, he saw a figure run past him in the corner of his eye. Instinctively, he knew it was you, so he followed behind you.
-
You had made it to a cave. Slowing down, you reached the entrance and went inside. You needed to sit down to treat your wounds. Just as you sat down against the wall, you heard a voice from just a few feet away.
“Y/n!” It was Leon’s voice. He quickly ran inside the cave and crouched down next to you. His eyes scanned over your body and he immediately saw some blood pooling on your clothes.
“You look like you’ve seen better days,” he joked quietly. You couldn’t reply as the pain was so unbearable, the adrenaline worn off and it felt as if you’ve been ran over 50 times by an 18-wheeler.
Leon quickly applied pressure on the wound on your arm, “This is going to hurt.”
He pulled out some medical supplies from the pockets of his cargo pants. One thing he learned from his field of work was that having too much medicine didn’t hurt anyone. He applied some antiseptic on your wound after pulling out the small bullet from your injury. You were lucky it didn’t penetrate all the way.
You screamed in pain and he had to hold you down by pressing a hand on your thigh, “Don’t move.”
Tears pricked at your lash line as you nodded. Biting your bottom to try and stifle your pained sobs and screams. It hurt like a bitch- or at least you thought so.
After the antiseptic, he began to wrap your arm with some gauze. Making sure it was too tight as he didn’t want to cut your circulation.
Your breathing softened as the pain subsided. That numb feeling came back as memories began to wash up again in your mind. Memories from the first event- Franco’s death- to this moment. You almost died today but you succeeded in avoiding death this time. You knew your luck was running thin but that didn’t stop you from feeling like doing more.
Leon saw that look on your face- a look he once had when he first became a cop. He knew it all too well and it scared him.
“Everyone was worried about you
when they saw you on that stage,” he began in a murmur as his gaze focused on wrapping your arm.
“People were starting to lose their spirit if they saw their second leader die,” he pulled on the gauze- not out of malice, of course. You winced and looked at him, “But I didn’t. I don’t give up that easily
”
He chuckled at your statement and looked at you, “I don’t doubt that.”
A moment of silence overtook the two of you as he brought his focus back on your injury. He’d never admit it, but he also felt a twinge of hopelessness at the thought of losing you.
“Leon,” you called out softly. He looked at you and hummed slowly in response.
“Thank you,” you whispered.
“For what?”
“Everything,” your shoulders shrugged slightly as you looked away in deep thought, “I know you’re only helping us because of whatever personal reason you have, but still, thank you.”
Your voice was soft and quiet. He couldn’t help but feel
soft. His whole demeanor changed and he looked at you with gentle eyes.
“I’m just doing what needs to be done,” his eyes shifted back to your arm as he tied a knot on the gauze.
“Still
thank you,” you whispered. You really were grateful for him. It was bittersweet, if you think about the big picture. You would’ve loved to have met him under different circumstances but the universe doesn’t always play in our favor.
Leon was a sweet guy underneath all that sarcasm and dark humor. Sure, he masks his true emotions but he had his moments where he was just so emotionally raw- where he was human. He wasn’t heartless, at the contrary, he felt for everyone.
It took you this fine moment to realize just what type of person he really is. He’s a guy who’s had a hard life. And now your life got hard too. Trauma bond is a real blessing in disguise. You two understood each other without ever having to say a word.
The look in his eyes when he stared at you said enough. His eyes screamed “I’m here for you” “it’s going to be okay”
And that was enough for you to finally let out your emotions in front of him. Your vision blurred as tears streamed down your cheeks. He wasn’t judging you for crying, he understood why. Hell, he’d cry too if all of this happened to him as well.
And that’s the beauty in its raw form. He slowly brought his hands to your cheek to wipe the tears of your face.
You were feeling so many things and he could understand what they were. Even if he didn’t experience the same thing, he went through similar things. Only this time, he wished he had someone who would’ve taken care of him the way he was taking care of you.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and cried on his shoulder. He gently wrapped his arms around your waist and held you close to him as you cried.
It wasn’t fair living in such situations where the government murders people for wanting a better life. It felt unfair and heinous.
You cried as you remembered all the deaths of people who fought beside you. It was all too painful and you were glad he was there for you. Only god knows how much longer you can grip to sanity.
-
You slowly let go of him and pulled back. He didn’t fight or forced you stay close to him, he knew you needed space and he would be more than glad to give it to you.
“Sorry,” you whispered. He shook his head and wiped the last remaining tears from your face.
“Don’t be sorry. Ever.” His voice was soft and almost a whisper. He was being sincere and kind- a contrast to his appearance.
You nodded and looked into his eyes deeply. His eyes were a piercing foggy blue that could only be described in endless terms and words- not enough.
“When I saw that you had fought and ran away
” Leon started in a whisper, “I knew you’d be okay. Everyone else was worried but I knew you’d find yourself alive
”
“Y/n
you wield great strength and I don’t even think you realize how important it is to me that you’re still alive,” he whispered as he took your hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze as your fingers interlocked with his.
His words made you feel something inside- loved. Love was something that you didn’t often feel all this time and yet he managed to pull at your heartstrings. Part of you didn’t want to get attached to him because you feared you’d put him in danger.
But he’s Leon. He’s been fighting all his life, what wrong could it do if both of you just dived into your heart’s desires?
You brought your hands to his sides of his face and brought him close for a kiss. His lips were warm- a little chapped but you didn’t mind. It was a soft kiss, one that spoke a thousand words.
He took hold of your waist and brought you closer to him to kiss you back, this time a bit more passionately. His hands roamed your waist up and down as he slowly pulled you off the wall and laid you down on the ground of the cave. The cold stone hitting your back as he climbed on top of you, right in between your legs.
His lips moved down to your neck, his stubble brushing up against the softness of your skin as he began to suck hard.
His hands traveled to your hips and he gripped them down as your hands wrapped around his head, fingers digging into his scalp as you moaned from him finding that sweet spot between your clavicle and crook of your neck.
His hands traveled under your shirt and gently caressed over your bra, as if he was scared of taking things further with you. He pulled back and looked you dead in the eyes, his pupils dilated to the point where the blue of his iris disappeared.
“Do you want this?” He whispered.
“Yes,” you breathed out and nodded.
That was all he needed before he gently pulled his shirt off and then helped you with yours. He gave you a look when you tried to move your arm, “Let me. Just relax and let me take care of you,” he caressed your cheek before leaning down to kiss your lips gently.
He gently and slowly pulled your shirt above your head and tossed it to the side, away with his shirt. He stared down at your bra in awe and almost hungrily. He leaned back down on your neck to give you more hickies as his hands reached your back to unclasp your bra.
With delicacy, he pulled down the straps down your arms and gently took it off of you completely. Your breasts completely exposed to him. As he continued sucking your neck like it was his last dinner, his hands traveled up to your breasts and he began to squish the fat of them. His thumbs grazing ever so slightly on your hardened nipples, eliciting a gasp and whine from your lips.
He smirked against your neck as he moved down to suck your right breast while his hand played with the other. He didn’t bite it- not yet at least. Instead he just swirled his tongue hue around your nipple and gave your left breast a teasing squeeze, just to hear more sounds come out of you.
This man was dedicated to making you feel good. He started kissing down your stomach to just right above the waistband of your pants. He crawled back up to your face and kissed you, inserting his tongue inside your mouth as his hands unbuttoned your pants and pulled them down to your ankles. He took them off and threw them someplace he already forgot.
His hands traveled to your clothed pussy, his index finger already finding that wet spot in your panties. He pressed down, causing you to moan against his lips. Once again, he smirked and pushed the slit of your panties aside as he inserted his middle finger.
He groaned as he felt the tightness of your walls pulsate around his finger. And how could he say no to that feeling? So, Leon being a gentleman, he inserted his ring finger inside and began to thrust his two fingers in and out of you.
You moaned and gripped on his shoulder blades, opening your mouth but only strained moans escaping and echoing throughout the cave. His fingers were long and stretched you out. You felt the strain of his erection against his pants graze your inner thigh and it only made you grow more wet.
His wrist was beginning to cramp but he didn’t care, he knew you were close by the way your walls Swede beginning to close in and out on his fingers.
But Leon’s a fucking bastard.
Right before you could reach your orgasm, that little fucker pulled his fingers out of you. You whined in disappointment and mild disbelief as he denied you of your orgasm. But to your surprise, as you looked over at him, you saw that he was beginning to take off his belt and pull his pants down.
You also were no saint given the fact that you basically eye fucked his hard-on.
But he didn’t care- maybe a little bit. He smirked and pulled his underwear down, letting you ogle and salivate as his cock sprung out. Pre-cum leaking as the veins throbbed ever so slightly. Boy, he was beyond hard.
You swallowed hard and looked at him as he aligned the tip of his head to your entrance. With a slow pace, and I’m talking real slow, he began to penetrate and enter you. It hurt, obviously, but it felt good. Maybe you were a masochist or maybe it was just him and his giant dick. Who knows.
What you did know was that as soon as his pelvis made contact with your clit, you hadn’t realized how deep he actually was inside you. He began to roll his hips into you, the action causing the tip to his your cervix. You ought to be careful because bruising a cervix could be very painful.
But you didn’t care- not when Leon’s moans and grunts escaped his throat. He gripped your hips and propped you up slightly to thrust into you better. His knees were hurting against the stone floor but that was the last thing on his mind. Right now, he just wanted to fuck.
As he thrusted right into you, he watched in awe as he saw your tits bounce. He could get used to this. As his kept his hips at a normal pace, he fondled your breast with his big hands.
The sound of his balls clapping against you made it seem like something straight out of a pornographic film. Only this time, it was real. Not like those fake actors with the fake orgasms- no. This was different, you were different.
He groaned as he felt your walls tighten around him and he tried to maintain his pace knowing you were so close to cumming. He read somewhere that when women were close to their orgasm, that they don’t speed up or slow down. Unlike men, women like to keep the same pace since it helps them reach their orgasm.
And that’s exactly what he did, as he whispered things like “good girl” or “god you’re taking me so well” he heard all your moans and whimpers as you finally came on his dick.
But that didn’t stop Leon. He knew you’d feel overstimulated but he wanted to be selfish and reach his orgasm too. So he went faster and rougher. His mind going blank as the only thing his body wanted was to cum.
Cum. Cum. Cum. Cum.
Like a damn dog, he thrusted into you with brute force. His hands gripped your hips until the skin turned white. His cock penetrating your cunt as he watched you arched your back, rolling your head back and closing your eyes.
How he wished he could take a picture of you in this position. But he knew he couldn’t. Instead, he took mental note of your curves and every single detail of your body- your moles, stretch marks, etc. He wanted to remember everything.
It was like 30 seconds until he finally reached his orgasm. He wasn’t a prick and he didn’t wish to impregnate you, so he pulled out and shot his cum on your stomach and breasts. The sight was much more alluring and he felt his cock twitch.
Both of you were panting after such an intense sex. Probably the best one either of you had ever had. He slowly helped you up and tried to fix your hair as best as he could. He saw the way your eyes were beginning to droop from the exhaustion and he felt some sort of guilt for being a little too rough.
You gently leaned your head against him as he began to clean you up with a piece of cloth he had with his other medical supplies.
Always be prepared. He thought.
He helped you get dressed up first as he knew you probably just wanted to sleep. And he wasn’t against that idea so he let you be while he put on his clothes.
It was getting dark and while you slept, he decided to build a fire inside the cave to provide warmth for the two of you. He saw you sleeping peacefully on the floor without his jacket draped over you.
It may not show but he really did care about you. You managed to bring down his walls and he was a bit frightened. But after almost seeing you die, he’d rather let his emotions and feelings be known to you.
He laid down behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist as he brought you closer to his chest. He bestowed his back on the back of your head and inhaled your scent. It was intoxicating and he almost felt like he was in heaven.
Yeah you smelled like sweat but he liked that smell. He would probably be called weird if he said he liked the way your sweat smelled so he kept that secret to himself.
His eyes began to close slowly as his mind drifted off to dreamland. And soon enough, both of you were sleeping in a cave cuddling each other.
The moon shined bright tonight and the warmth of the fire brought you two a piece of comfort. Almost making you forget about the entire political war going on.
Almost.
-
“She’s alive,” the president’s assistant said.
The president let you go simply because she thought you’d die in the forest. What she wasn’t prepared was for that American to chase after you and help you. She was enraged and was out for the kill.
“Release the test subjects. Let’s see who stays alive in the end after I show them what we’ve been working on,” president Mendez said right before she stormed off her office.

Thinking about cop Leon and his kitten.
Imagine he takes you back to his places after a date and you guys begin to get intimate. He takes you to his bedroom, slowly undressing you as his hands travel throughout your chest and stomach.
He lays down the bed and continues to make out with you. He was ready to start touching you privately, until his cat jumped on the bed and meowed loudly.
You’d chuckle as Leon groaned in annoyance. His own cat cockblocked him.
“Hold on, she’s hungry,” Leon muttered as he got off the bed- without his shirt and undone pants. He walks to the kitchen and feeds his cat before going back to the bedroom and locking the door behind him. “Now, where were we?”

Leon’s the type of guy

Tumblr media
Leon’s the type of guy to have hair ties in case you need one
“Ugh, my hair’s in the way,” you’d say. Leon would then pull a hair tie from his wrist and give it to you, “Here.”
Leon’s the type of guy that would carry your bags for you when you two go out shopping
“Y/n, is all of this necessary? I mean, you already have a lot of clothes,” he says as his knuckles turn white from holding your bags. You pulled him to another store, “You don’t understand the drip.”
Leon’s the type of guy who would wake up scared from the lightning of a thunderstorm because it reminded him of his battles and fights.
Leon woke up sweaty and panting after a loud lightning strike echoed through the room. He face dripped with sweat and you stirred awake, “Leon?” You whispered with a sleepy tone. Leon would then turn to you and shush you back to sleep, “It’s nothing, baby, go back to sleep,” he’d whisper but you were already waking up anyway. Your hand reached over to Leon’s back and you gently massaged his tense muscles. There was a moment of silence before he eventually spoke up in a scared tone, “I thought I was back out there,” he whispered. He looked at you with tired eyes and spoke with a trembling tone, “I can’t keep living like this,” your eyes grew sad at his words and you quickly embraced him in a tight, comforting hug.
Leon’s the type guy who’d buy you something because it reminded him of you.
“Hey, I got you this. It reminded me of you,” he says as he handed you a strawberry squishmellow. You raised a brow and took it, “I remind you of a strawberry?” He grinned and nodded, “Because you get red after we kiss.”
Leon’s the type of guy who would say no to going out but when you drag him somewhere, he feels so giddy inside
“No. I don’t want to go,” he says with a frown. “Oh come on, please?” You fluttered your eyelashes at him. Leon sighs begrudgingly and lets you take him somewhere. But when you basically kept dragging him around the festival market, he has to bite down his smile tugging at his lips. He wouldn’t admit it, but Leon likes how assertive you are when it comes to going out.
Leon’s the type of guy who would not trust you with the stove after you burnt yourself boiling water
“How the fuck did you even managed to hurt yourself?” He asks as he rubs burning cream on your palm. You shrugged and spoke nonchalantly, “I dunno.” Leon looked at you mildly surprised and also worried, “How are you still alive?”
Leon’s the type of guy that definitely sleeps on his stomach. The man practically takes up the whole space too. He’d have his hands under his pillow as his legs basically occupied your side of the bed. He would also accidentally kick you.
You were so close to falling off the edge of the bed because of Leon’s sleeping position. You grumbled bitterly as you basically pushed him closer to his side but he didn’t budge. That man was heavy, especially since he’s so deep into his sleep that his body basically mushed down.
Leon’s the type of guy that definitely felt like he was better than the military guys back in Fort Hood or Fort whatever. He wouldn’t participate physically but emotionally he would think that the base he trained in was better than the other places.
As Leon stood straight along the other men during their training session. He felt a surge of pride in himself when he overheard some guys talking about another base basically being known as the pussies of the military world. The end of his lips would curve up very slightly. But soon everything died down as the sergeant began to yell for formation.
Leon’s the type of guy that unironically would participate in a Uno or Bingo game. He’s strategic, he’d definitely win a few Uno rounds- even against you.
“Uno out,” he called out as he placed the last card. Your eyes widened and you scoffed in disbelief, “What!? That’s so not fair!” Leon chuckled and leaned back against his chair with a smug smirk, “Can’t outdo me, sweetheart. This brain’s too smart,” he tapped his finger against his skull. Leon, being the asshole that he could be sometimes, stacked two +4 on you and won. You gave him the side-eye and put the cards together for another round.

“I am constantly trying to communicate something incommunicable, to explain something inexplicable, to tell about something i only feel in my bones and which can only be experienced in those bones," - Franzs Kafka, Letters to Milena
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Insurgents went off to their control panel to deliver the message to President Mendez. Everyone could tell how hurt and angry you were. You were out for blood, and you didn't care about anything else other than seeing the president's head off of her body.
"Tonight, we will storm the tower and end things once and for all. I don't want more innocent people dying," you said and then turned to one of the insurgents, "Tell everyone to get ready for battle."
The insurgent nodded and you watched as everyone got to work. Leon could only stand behind you as he watched you become so blood thirsty.
"Y/n..."
"Leon," you turned around to look at him, "We can handle this ourselves. You are still an important factor for us and I don't want anything to happen to you."
Your tone changed. You didn't sound like the girl he kissed back in San Jolonia. But he knew better than to say anything. He nodded and then took a step towards you.
"I need to complete my mission," He spoke quietly as he leaned down to your ear to whisper, "Remember when I said I was a government agent?"
You nodded and waited for him to proceed, "I need to go to a research facility and extract some information, think you can help me?"
You looked at him with furrowed brows before silently nodding, "Fine. You've been helping us, guess it would be fair to help you as well."
Leon nodded, “Thanks,” he mumbled before he walked away from the room. Now that you were alone, you couldn’t help the surging thoughts running rampant in your mind.
More people dying. More blood. More battles. War.
You were angry and you needed to do something now.
-
The insurgents prepared their own artillery- tanks, bombs, guns. Anything they could use for battle was ready. As their new leader, you checked that everything was good to go before finally proceeding with the storm.
This was it.
“Alright people, let’s get a move on!“ the people began to move after your order. The sound of their footsteps echoing through the gates as the tanks and vehicles exited first.
You marched with the Insurgents as Leon wandered off to god knows where. You trusted him and right now what you needed to focus on was the fact that today is going to be day where war will take place. Right in the heart of Pruye.
-
The President received the war declaration and she wasn’t all too happy. She’d thought that after seeing the murders of the innocent civilians, everyone would stop defying her. It only caused the opposite to happen. She quickly turned to her assistant,
“I want you to bring the Membario test subjects. They want a war? I’ll give them one
”
-
Leon went back to San Jolonia. When you brought him there for scouting supplies, he saw a research facility and he knew that’s where he had to go for his mission.
He hadn’t forgotten the real reason he was here. All he needed to do was get the sample and go back to you for battle, it was that simple.
As he walked through the rubble of the ruined city, he was wondering why there weren’t any signs of B.O.Ws yet. He’d thought that he would see one by now but so far he hasn’t. Which was unsettling, by the way. Something felt sinister about today but he couldn’t put any reason behind this feeling. All he could do right now was enter the facility and hope to find a sample of the virus.
-
Bombs and bullets went off as you and your people marched through the gates of the inner city state. The tower had been protected by soldiers and tanks.
Smoke filled the air as the ground shook from all the explosives being exchanged on either side. Soldiers and insurgents dying left and right.
But they didn’t seemed to have noticed you sneak inside the tower, ready to climb up the endless stairs. Right towards the president’s office.
-
The research facility was abandoned but it still had many of its records. It was as if the place was still used. Leon walked around the place and briefly looked over some scattered files, which all contained relatively the same thing. All about Membario and the test subjects.
One paper in specific stood out to him.
Test Subject 119: Subject has responded to commands and has been subdued.
He furrowed his brows as he read the files, more confusion strikes him and he didn’t know what else to expect from all of this. Sure, he knew a war was coming, but what type of experiments happened down here? He only hoped that whatever it was, that it only got scrapped and forgotten.
The further he walked down the facility, the more eerie it got. And that’s because of a green light emitting from a room.
With quiet steps, he slowly approached the room with his gun at the ready. Slowly entering, he made sure to sun his gun at any potential threat. After noticing that nothing came at him, he lowered his weapon and began to look around the room.
In the center of the room, stood a cylindrical tank with green liquid inside. And inside that tank was a mutated humanoid that resembled an all too similar monster- a bio organic weapon.
The hairs of his neck stood up as he felt a chill run down his spine. It wasn’t like anything he fought before. It was more evil and looked almost human. He knew for sure that this must’ve been something related to the government, why else would they keep this hidden?
He needed that sample but he didn’t know how to get it. Instead he just walked away towards one of the computers and hooked up a secret device he hand at the bottom pit of the pockets of his pants. For once he was glad he didn’t have to fight something- or someone- for a sample.
Once Leon hacked the information into his device, he made a swift exit. All while taking a mental note of that humanoid B.O.W.
-
You barged into the president’s office with your gun pointed and aimed in front of you. Gasps were heard all throughout the room.
And there stood President Mendez.
It was overwhelming. You desperately wanted to pull the trigger but you knew better. Instead, you spoke up, “I’ve got you now
if I were you, I’d be careful with my next choice of action.”
The President chuckled as she lifted her hands beside her head, “I was waiting for this moment
I knew one of you would come and try to pull this stunt.”
Her laugh only made you more angry. You gripped the handle of your gun and took a step forward, “Release everyone and I’ll consider letting you live.”
President Mendez stopped laughing and stared at you with amusement, “I don’t think you’re in any position to make threats like that
” her smug smile irritated you. You felt nothing but rage building up inside you.
You pointed your gun at once of the soldiers next to her and shot him right in the head before turning your attention back to the President, “The difference between you and I
is that I do not hesitate,” you seethed through gritted teeth, taking another stop closer.
The President remained silent as she observed you for a good minute, “You won’t win this fight, you know that right?”
Your eyes narrowed at her statement, “Says who? Because so far, we’ve been beating you and your idiots.”
She laughed at you once again before lowering her hands, “Oh c’mon, take a look. I’ve won even before all of this started. I have connections, I have supporters, I have power. And what do you have? Dreams and a toy gun. You’re nothing compared to me and you’re a fool for believing you can even amount to anything near my level.”
Silence overtook the room as you glared at her.
“Let’s be real, shall we? I have the Americans on my side. The weapons that you and your little friends have come from me,” she walked around her desk to stand in front of you.
“Do not forget your place,” she whispered in your ear. With an angered huff, you swung the back of your gun at her face. President Mendez stumbled back and two soldiers ran up behind you. Each solder took your arm and held you in place. “You bitch!” You yelled at her as you thrashed around.
The President held the side of her face where you hit her and with anger she spoke, “Take her with the rest of them. I want her executed by tomorrow.”
The soldiers nodded before they started to drag you away, “YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!!” You yelled right before the door closed and the soldiers dragged you down the stairs.
-
The soldiers took you down to their cellars and threw you into a cell with other people. Some were men and women and others were just children. It broke your heart and it only caused your anger to rise.
You are to be executed tomorrow and there was no one who could save you. You were angry but also disappointed.
-
Leon ran back to San Bandero where the Insurgents were fighting soldiers to storm the tower.
He decided to be useful and help kill some soldiers.
Unbeknownst to him that the new Insurgent leader got captured by the president.

RE Villains and my psychological opinion (+mini history lesson hehe.)
I really like the way CAPCOM writes their villains. Everyone talks about the main protagonist(s) such as Chris, Leon, Jill, Claire, etc. I think we should definitely give some credit to the evil guys of the franchise. I have my own two favorite villains, Lord Saddler (RE4/RE4R), and Svetlana (Damnation). I wish I could write about ALL the characters but that would almost be a book's length.
(I am no expert in psychology, i barely survived my spring semester lol. I am not licensed and i most certainly am not a doctor. The history part is true, but the psychology is just me being hyper fixated on the minor details. Once again, take this lightly. Also, i have my psych final soon and I'm so ready to kick ass.)
There's just something so alluring to me about the obsession with one being known as a God or God's messenger. Lord Saddler really got me thinking about how easy it is for a narcissist to make a cult about, essentially, themselves. Everyone knows the story about Narcissus, the mythological Greek God, and how he fell in love with his own reflection and basically starved himself to death. Hence why the term narcissism derived from the myth of Narcissus. Narcissism goes deeper than just one being self-centered. A narcissist is much more evil- they lack empathy and exploit others for their own goals/achievements. I would like to believe that Lord Saddler definitely has a narcissistic disorder because he took it upon himself to become, and as I like to call it, The God of Plaga. I mean, the dude literally created his own "bible" and his own insignia. He, like James in RE0, believe that they can conquer the world using the parasite. But the psychology behind it, or least in my humble knowledge, is really just a narcissist playing God. Saddler's psychological disorder is being projected onto religion, maybe in a response to a traumatic event. Freudian theory states that projection is a psychological defense mechanism where an individual projects unwanted thoughts, feelings, and motives on another person/group. I'd like to think that Saddler is a narcissist that projects his own motives as defense mechanism using religious methods.
I'm no expert on modern religion but I do like to think myself as someone well versed in BCE and CE religion. As i played through the game, I couldn't help but notice some similarities between Saddler and his cult and some ancient religious beliefs. Ancient civilizations often believed that their God's power was absolute, thus making religion an important part of their culture. The village in which the game takes place obviously contains a small church and then a castle- followed by the peasant village in the beginning of the game. We know that this is a remote location in Spain and since Spain was known as Hispania during the Roman Empire, it would be safe to say that maybe MAYBE CAPCOM was inspired by the history of the country that had followed all the way to CE. I'd like to believe that Saddler was probably inspired by the ruling of the Roman Empire after Emperor Theodosius (who declared Christianity as the state religion of the empire.) Saddler, much like Theodosius, created his own religion but it was considered a minority. Once Saddler had recruited more people, his "empire" expanded, much like Christianity all across Europe in CE. His plan was obviously to expand his domain and control the world with Las Plagas. Of course, this is just my own theories and observations.
I really loved Svetlana's character as a villain. She's cunning, diplomatic, and very goal oriented. It fascinated me the way she handled situations, as if she already knew everything from the start (except the temporary unification of Russia and the US). We know she used to be a combat instructor, or still is maybe. To me, she's the definition of a wolf in a sheep's disguise. Which again brings to my point on my analysis on Saddler- a narcissistic will do anything to make sure they accomplish their goals, regardless of whose lives are at risk. Svetlana, unlike Saddler, has international support and can manipulate ambassadors to be in her favor. She already has control over her republic as president, she only needs a little more help from her international supporters. This is not only a trait from a businessperson but also someone who is very smart and probably knows how to use people at their expense. But that's every politician, in my opinion. Greed and money are basically what sugar is to kids for politicians and government officials. The way she smirked and basically declared her victory when she was talking to Buddy through the barrier was literally so evil of her part, but it made sense. At the end of the day, I'd like to think that she really just had this urge of not messing up the country since she probably faced a lot of pressure from being the first female president of the country.
Svetlana is very smart. She resigned of her position right after the civil war ended because she knew the consequences of basically breeding Nemesis’s cousins (LOL) A narcissist is never dumb and if they are then they aren’t narcissists. Narcissists are extremely smart and extremely manipulative with no sense of guilt.
I would like to talk more about James and then deeper in Resident Evil Village bc that game is literally so well written I’m like đŸ˜đŸ«¶đŸŒ

“The whole question here is: Am I a monster, or a victim myself?” - Fyodor Dostoevsky, Crime and Punishment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leon was put into a room after you guys reached La SĂ©nte. He was given food and water as well as a bed for him.
What a nice welcome, he thought.
You were currently in a meeting room with Yarina and other Insurgents.
“The president is on to us. She knows we’ve been the ones targeting her military. From now on, we’ll be facing death head on. This is no time for hesitations. We must act or die,” Yarina stated as she looked down at the papers scattered on the table.
“Yarina, we can’t risk losing people. We will be outnumbered if we want to go to the city states-“
“Enough,” Yarina slams her fists on the table, “We cannot sit back and watch as President Mendez treats our lives as rag dolls. Yes, there’s a chance we will die but I’d rather die fighting than die a coward.”
Silence overtook the room, the atmosphere was tense and heavy. Ever since the President had broadcasted the message of public executions, everyone’s been at edge. Including you.
“Why don’t we use the American?” One of the insurgents spoke up, he seemed to be the secretary of Yarina. “How do we use him exactly?” She asked.
“A life for a life. We send a message to President Mendez demanding that she freed all the captured civilians. In return, we’ll give him to her-“
“A swap,” you interjected. “It won’t work-“ you turned to look at Yarina, “Listen, those soldiers- they’re nothing like the ones we’ve seen. San Bandero is protected by tanks and endless troops. We’ll die the second we step foot there.”
Yarina hums and brought a hand to her chin as she thought hard.
“We’ll split up,” she pointed to the map, “Half of the available Insurgents will storm right into the city with our bomb artillery. I’m talking tanks and rocket launchers. The other half will go underground and perform an evacuation for the remaining citizens who are unharmed. I want this to be quick and efficient. We have no room for mistakes. Prioritize the children.”
Everyone nodded and began to scurry out of the meeting room to prepare for battle. “Y/n, can I talk to you for a second?”
You stopped walking and walked back towards her.
“I heard about what you did for Josue, that was really heroic of your part,” she said quietly.
“It was nothing, really,” you muttered back with a short nod.
Yarina chuckled and patted your back, “Humble too. You never fail to surprise me.”
She cleared her throat before continuing, “Listen, I didn’t just held you back to talk about your accomplishments.”
You could only nod slowly in silence, “I actually wanted to let you know that if I were to die tonight
I want you as our leader.”
Your eyes widened at her statement and you felt your throat run dry, “Yarina
don’t say that. How are you sure you’re-“
“Y/n. There is no guarantee that I’ll make it alive after the mission. The President is on to us and once she finds out that I’m the leader, she’ll kill me.”
You could only stare at her in silence. What she said was true. If President Mendez were to find out that Yarina was the leader of the rebelling group then she’ll most definitely die.
“Okay,” you nodded and agreed quietly, “I’ll do my best to be a good leader.”
Yarina smiled softly and squeezed your arm, “Good, now let’s get this mission over with.”
-
Leon heard the sounds of footsteps through the halls.
They must be making their next move, he thought.
He wondered how exactly everything started. Getting captured by a group of people who want to overthrow the government wasn’t really on his to-do list. But alas here he was.
The food was way better than other times he’s been to other missions. He had to give you guys credit for having edible bread and good chicken.
-
You were put into the group of Insurgents who will storm right into the city. Currently, you seating in a car with other members. Weapons in hands and boxes full of explosives ready to be used.
As you were driven there, the sun began to set. You’ve gotten used to fighting in the dark. It was better since the soldiers’ helmets didn’t really allow them to see at night. This was your advantage.
As you neared the city entry, everyone jumped out of the car and proceeded to blend in with the trees and bushes that surrounded the area.
Hiding behind a bush, you kept watch as the person next to you took out their rocket launcher and shot the city.
Multiple bombs were set off, each hitting a different thing. Buildings, tanks, soldiers- anything they can shoot. The ground shook and insurgents ran out of their hiding spot and began to attack the confused soldiers.
Your weapon ready in your hand, you shot the soldiers in front of you. You managed a few headshots. It was good that you had improved your skills ever since this whole thing started, it was good you were becoming alive.
-
As the insurgents in the sewer system began to drive the citizens of San Bandero out, they felt the ground shook. They needed to get out of there quickly before the roads collapsed on top of them.
“Madam President, there’s an attack in San Bandero. A group of rebels are shooting out soldiers and bombing out buildings. Do you want-“
“No,” the President cut the assistant off. She was angry, more angry than anyone has ever seen her. She stood up and walked towards the window to see. And sure enough, fire and smoke came out of San Bandero.
“Find their leader and bring them to me. I will end this once and for all,” the President said as she walked away from the window and back to her desk.
-
You and Yarina were fighting back to back as the soldiers tried to pounce at you both.
“Fuck! I’m out,” Yarina exclaimed as she tried to shoot with her gun but no bullets came out.
You took Yarina by the arm and dragged her into a collapsed building, giving both of you enough time to reload your weapons.
Yarina was busy reloading her gun as you kept watch, “Yarina
” your eyes widened as you stared at the TV on the tower. Yarina grew confused and then looked out towards the TV as well.
It was a video footage of the sewers- the citizens walking while the insurgents helped them out.
“Citizens of Pruye, let this be a reminder that traitorous acts do not go unpunished. Everyone in relation to rebellion will face consequences,” the President spoke.
Suddenly, a bomb fell down from a plane and into the roads. You and Yarina took cover behind a fallen piece of debris. The ground shook tremendously as heat and light took over.
You couldn’t hear anything for a good minute, only the constant ringing. You peeked at the scene and saw that the bomb had fallen right on top of the people evacuating. Your eyes trailed towards the TV and couldn’t help but let out a soft sob.
Children, women, men and insurgents lying dead on the floor. No trace of life after the explosion. Smoke and ashes filled the air and your hearing got back.
You heard Yarina scream and turned your head over your shoulder to find Yarina being taken away by two soldiers, “¡¡Come mierdas- todos ustedes!!”
You were about to start running towards her but another soldier lunged at you, pinning you the ground. You gripped their wrist and tried to not let them stab with the knife they had in their hands. With as much energy you could muster, you harshly threw the soldier off of you and shot them in the head with your gun.
You looked back at where Yarina was last seen but she was gone. Panic and anxiety coursed through you. You didn’t want to think about it. But you knew Yarina was going to die.
-
It’s been three hours since Yarina got captured. The remnants of San Bandero were the only thing that remained of what was once a lively city. Now it was just debris and dead bodies all around.
Some insurgents were being treated for their wounds and others were patrolling the streets. You were sitting down the sidewalk as you contemplated what to do.
It wasn’t until the TV on the tower turned on and President Mendez spoke,
“Citizens of Pruye, with every heartbreak comes good news. Although a city of ours has been destroyed, we too, have something that is worth destroying for those who oppose me.”
The camera pans to Yarina kneeling down before a soldier who has a gun pointed at her forehead. Her hands were tied behind her back as she had a piece of cloth around her mouth, gagging her.
“Yarina
” you whispered as you stood up and stared at the screen.
“Let this be a lesson for all. You cannot win a helpless fight,” the President continued.
The soldier hooked his finger around the trigger all while Yarina maintained eye contact with him. She didn’t fear death, she wasn’t scared in that moment. Yarina is a smart person, she’s known all along that by starting this rebellion she’d face her ultimate death. Not once did she flinch nor did she beg for mercy.
She took a deep breath and let her body fall to the ground after the soldier pulled the trigger. The bullet penetrating her skull, sucking the life out of her. A poodle of blood surrounded her head as she died with her eyes opened.
Gasps and screams were heard from the other insurgents around you. You, yourself, felt anger. Anger at yourself, anger at the government, anger at the whole world. But beneath all that anger, was a girl who feared and cried. She was hurt- you were hurt. And nothing is this world could do anything to settle the turmoil inside you.
-
Leon was brought to the meeting room right after everyone reached base. News of Yarina’s death reached everyone, including him.
You stood at the center of the table, the proclaimed new leader. Your whole demeanor changed, you were serious and angry. Your eyes held a pain that only Leon could guess and relate to, because he also knew what it felt like to lose people right in front of your eyes.
He didn’t say anything and allowed the insurgents to pull him in front of the table.
“Change of plans,” you started as you began to motion for everyone around the table, including Leon. He raised a brow but obliged.
“Everyone knows San Jolonia has medical supplies and weapons we can use. If we are going to fight Mendez, we must be ready,” your brows were pinched together and your tone was serious and a little terrifying to some.
“But San Jolonia has been abandoned. The President ordered for people to leave the city,” one of the insurgents said. You nodded, “I know, hence why I need to take this opening and take as much as we can- guns, medicine, food, clothes. I won’t let anything go to waste.”
“Wait
you’ll go by yourself? Y/n I don’t think that’s safe, you saw what happened to-“
“I know,” you mumbled and stared down at the map in the center of the table, “San Jolonia is abandoned. Plus, the American is coming with me.”
The insurgent’s eyes widened and Leon only stared at you with mild shock.
“Y/n- you can’t trust him. What if he-“
“If I wanted to kill her, I would’ve done so already,” Leon interjected. He stared at you and you stared back, the tension high.
“I saw what happened to one of your people,” Leon continued just a little bit softer. The atmosphere turned solemn and some insurgents looked away as he began to talk about Yarina.
Leon sighed, “I want to help.”
You furrowed your brows and narrowed your eyes in skepticism, “Why?”
“Because no one should deal with this type of control. You are fighting against a dictator and you’ll need all the help you can get
” he exhaled and looked away briefly, “I’ve seen people die in front of me as well. Feeling helpless and unable to do anything to save everyone
 it’s a shitty feeling.”
Your face fell and you nodded slowly, he looked back at you from across the table, “Let me join you. If there’s anyway I can help, I’ll take it. No more innocent lives need to die.”
He was right, in a way. If you want to bring down the government, you’ll need help. And Leon was an American soldier. They’re known to be ruthless and strong. It would a great asset to have him.
“Okay,” you nodded, “untie him.”
An insurgent went behind Leon and untied his hands. He massaged his wrists and then looked at you.
“You and I are leaving tonight, do not be late,” it was the last thing you told him before you left the room.
-
You waited for Leon at the gate, it was dark outside. The night breeze flowing gently through the trees and grass. Leon approached you as he was checking his gun.
"You ready?" you asked him before opening the gate. He nodded at you, "Yeah, let's get this over with."
Since it was nighttime, you decided not to use a vehicle. It was dangerous already if the soldiers were to notice a vehicle roaming around, then they'd most likely shoot you. So, you settled on foot.
As you and Leon walked through the forest, he couldn't help but make small talk with you.
"So..." he started quietly as he pushed some branches out of his face.
"So?" you mumbled as you led the way, "Whatever you want to say, just say it."
He hummed and chuckled faintly behind you, "Aren't you the nice one..." He shook his head and walked beside you.
"Listen, I don't doubt your skills or anything..."
"But?" You raised a brow as you glanced at him before looking back at the forest.
"But don't you think you should... take a break? I mean- a lot has happened to you and not taking the time to process what just happened can cause you to-"
You stopped and turned to face him, "I didn't ask for a therapist. I'm fine- we need to push forward."
He sighed and watched as you walked ahead of him. He sighed and followed behind you.
-
You both reached the outskirts of San Jolonia, abandoned and ruined. Must've been President Mendez's doing.
"Don't stray off too far," you said as you walked towards the entrance of the city state, "I don't you to get lost so just keep close."
Leon nodded and silently walked behind you. It was completely silent, except for the sound of your footsteps. The night was cold and the air was soft. You walked towards an abandoned pharmacy and began to stuff your bag with as many things as possible. Leon stood behind you, keeping watch in case something were to come out.
There was a strange peace between the two of you. Like as if both of you already knew what the other thought. When you're involved in a battle, it can help bring people together.
And Leon couldn't help but feel sympathy for you. You were young, too young to be in something like this. Sure, wanting to fight for your freedom is a noble cause. But he also understands the pain that comes with it. He's conflicted. He wants to help in two ways- wants to fight alongside you but he also wants to avoid a war. But you seem set on the idea of war and there's nothing in his power that can change that.
You weren't dumb, you knew Leon thought this. It was written in his face. The man had a great sense of justice and only cared for the lives of the unfortunate. If you had to guess, you'd say he probably feels a lot of guilt. A guilt that kept on piling up as the years went by.
"We should camp out, it's getting late," You broke the silence and walked towards another abandoned building.
One of its walls was collapsed while parts of the ceiling were missing. You stepped inside the ruined building and began to set up a fire. Leon was too far behind, he walked slowly as his eyes looked around. It wasn’t everyday that he would get pulled into events like this.
After you started a fire, you sat in front of it and began to pull out some food you brought, “Hungry?”
Leon looked at you and shook his head no, “I’m good, thanks.” He went over to sit next to you as you shrugged, “Suit yourself,” you muttered under your breath before you took a bite out of a piece of bread.
Leon stared at the fire in silence. He was aware of the occasional glances you’d throw him but he hasn’t said anything, yet.
You sighed and looked back at the fire, remaining in silence once again.
“Why are you here?” You mumbled and looked at him.
“You told me to come-“
“That wasn’t what I meant,” you cut him off. “What made you come to this place?”
He looked back down at you before shrugging faintly and looking back at the fire, “Got sent here. Wasn’t really my choice.”
His voice was quiet and the light from the fire highlighted his features. You never actually sat down to get a good look at him but now that were, you couldn’t help but think hoe handsome he was. His foggy blue eyes piercing down at the flames as his dark fringe fell down the sides of his face. His stubble had been growing for a while- maybe even before he got sent here.
You exhaled softly and looked back at the fire, “So you were forced
”
He nodded, “Yep. I mean, it’s also partly my fault in a way. I work for the government and I get these
missions. Shits crazy when life hits you with the consequences of your actions, don’t you think?”
“I guess
” you mumbled and looked down at the bread in your hands, “So, you’re like a personal soldier or something?”
Leon chuckled and looked at you for a brief moment, “You’ve been watching way too many American movies.”
This time, you smiled softly and looked back at him, “What can I say? You Americans are the leaders of entertainment.”
That caused him to smile back, “Good point
” he exhaled softly before looking back at the fire, “But no. I’m not a personal soldier or whatever. I’m just an agent. I work in the defense department, lots of fighting.”
You hummed quietly and looked back at the fire in silence for a moment before speaking up in a cautious tone, “Was it your dream to become an agent?”
Leon felt his body freeze at that question. He blinked slowly as his expression fell slightly and then looked at you with a pained expression, “No, it’s not.”
Your own expression mimicked his as he continued, “I wanted to be a cop. Like the ones in Brooklyn 99 or Chicago P.D. But after
” he quickly trailed off, deciding whether or not he could tell you about Raccoon City.
ïżœïżœAfter?” You asked,
“After Raccoon City,” he replied quietly.
You were aware of what happened in Raccoon City. It made global news how the U.S. nuked it’s own people. But no one knew as much as Leon and you could tell that it left him with a big weight on his shoulders.
“When I escaped Raccoon City, my whole life changed
I was no longer the 21 year old rookie cop,” his gaze trailed on, no long focusing on the fire. Right now, he was somewhere else.
“I met this girl, when the whole Raccoon City thing started, she was like 10 or 11- and I couldn’t help but feel
anger. Not at her, obviously, but at everyone else. Children died that day, sisters
 brothers
everyone died and I couldn’t save them,” he inhaled sharply,
“It felt like everyone moved on and I’m still stuck in that same fucking time-loop
” he looked down at you, “Not a day goes by where I don’t dream about it. About everything.”
You stared back at him and watched as his eyes told the story. His raw emotions emanated from within, “To this day, I still see them. Every figure and shadow of what remained of that goddamn city. The guilt to not have been able to help
it hurts more than anything in the world.”
He turned to look back at the fire in silence. You’ve never seen someone so hurt. Although it took you by the surprise, you couldn’t help but feel bad for him. All those years that went by and he’s still in the same place.
“Is that why you’re helping us? Because you don’t want to feel guilt?” You asked quietly.
He nodded, “If I can help
I wouldn’t let the opportunity pass by. I’ll take hold of whatever chance I get to save people.”
You stared at him for a moment in silence. It was very noble of him basically risking his life for people- dangerous but very noble.
"You know," you started quietly, "I didn't even know how to fight before.. all of this even started." Leon raised his brow at you and then chuckled. He shook his head and stared back at you, "I can tell. When we first fought, you had so many openings."
You rolled your eyes at him and then looked back at orange flames, "Give me a break. I was just some random girl working in a canteen... before chaos took place," memories of when the soldiers first came with their tanks filled your mind. You sat there in silence before finally saying something. If he basically trauma dumped on you then why shouldn't you as well?
"My brother died from a soldier," you mumbled softly as you fiddled with the bread, "He was out with his friends one night and some soldiers came up to him. They tried to arrest him but he resisted and eventually... he got shot."
The words barely came out of your mouth. It was painful to rethink about all of the deaths that happened, but Leon knew that. He understands the pain.
"I'm sorry about your brother," he mumbled. You swatted your hand in the air before looking back at him, "He wasn't the only one I lost. I lost my two friends from my job... we got bombed and one of them got squashed by a building and the other... bled to death..."
Leon remained silent as he listened to you. He may not have been there when all of that happened, but he knew the pain.
A dry chuckle escaped your lips, "And now Yarina is dead, and I became the leader of her group... I feel like life is mocking me. It's like, 'Hey! You lost your friends but don't worry! You'll lose more people'... These types of battles don't go well- i know that. But a part of me wishes that i should've just left. Left for America for a better future... Instead, I'm stuck here leading a rebellion." You took a bite out the bread and got quiet. Leon was just watching you, reading you. He could tell you were in a lot of pain, more pain than you believe.
He sighed and looked back at the fire, "Life's been shitty to the both of us, huh?"
The ends of your lips curled up slightly as you nodded, "Pretty much."
"You look young... life can get better for you, trust me," he mumbled softly.
"I don't feel young. Does it ever actually get better?" you asked as you turned your head to look at him.
He looked back at you and shook his head, "No, it doesn't... but you learn to live with it."
"I don't want to live with it... I want to forget everything ever even happened. I want to live a normal life..."
Leon looked at you with sad eyes, "But that's not the case, is it? You can dream all you want but the hard truth will always drag you back to reality... and it's a reality you must live in."
You stared into his eyes for a moment in silence as he stared back at you. The atmosphere was complicated. One minute you were cautious of him and then the next you express your inner emotions to him. And now the tension was high. For what? You don't know but you could swear you saw his eyes drift down to your lips.
It's not like you were a virgin, you had your own experiences. But yet, you felt something starting to build inside you and you could almost see it in him as well. Feelings were growing when they shouldn't be.
Your eyes drifted down to his and you leaned a little closer. But your subconscious mind pulled you back. You turned your head away, "We shouldn't..." you whispered.
He looked at you for a moment, his eyes lingering on your lips, "Says who?"
"This is wrong. It feels wrong... I mean, we're in the middle of an incoming war. Is it even okay?"
Leon brought his hand to your cheek and gently forced you to look back at him, "You're not killing anybody. It's okay," he whispered as his thumb caressed your cheek.
You swallowed and allowed him to gently pull you towards him. You closed your eyes and felt his breath on your face as he brought you two together.
His lips landed on yours in a soft kiss. Lips so soft and tender despite the environment. He kissed you gently and brought you closer as you rested your hands on his shoulders. His free hand traveling to your waist, giving it a gentle squeeze. You gasped softly against his lips and he took the opportunity to bring his tongue inside your mouth. His tongue entangled itself with your tongue. It felt so intimate yet so calm. He was kissing you as if he didn't want to hurt you. You've been hurt far too much already but this kiss felt like a band-aid on top of your scars.
He pulled apart to catch his breath, eyes opening to look at your face. Your cheeks were flushed and your eyes were already staring at his. He brushed some hair out of your face and tucked it behind your ear. There was a moment of silence as the two of you just sat there staring at each other.
"Rest," he whispered, "We still have a lot of things to do tomorrow."
You nodded slowly and laid down on your side, giving your back to Leon. You closed your eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Leon watched as you fell asleep, he took off his jacket and laid it on top of you. So many thoughts lingered in Leon's mind but he also had questions about your previous conversation.
He knew death was inevitable but seeing everyone- including you- fight with so much resolve made him believe that you had the opportunity to do something he couldn't.
To save people.
He wasn't jealous or mad, rather, he felt a sense of guilt. He didn't want to see you die. Leon wanted to see you and the rest of your people overthrow the government. He beg the heavens above to let you live just a little bit longer if it meant seeing you free this country.
He'd plead to whoever.
-
An announcement alarm went off and the TV from the tower turned on. Flashing images of people lined up, kneeling down with bags over their heads, with soldiers behind them pointing their guns at their heads.
You woke up as stared at the screen, which Leon did was well. The two of you watched as the soldiers began to shoot the people one by one. Their bodies falling limp against the floor and letting the blood pool around them.
Your heart felt heavy and you tried to move but couldn't. You were frozen in place.
"We've captured more traitors who must pay the price for their treason," President Mendez said.
You felt anger. Some were children.
In a fit of anger, you took your gun and dashed out of the ruined building you were in. Leon followed behind you, "Wait- where are you going?"
You ignored him and kept walking. He ran behind you and pulled your arm to stop you, "Y/n..."
Eyes welling up with tears of anger, you looked at him with so much anger, "Those were kids. And she's killing them like pieces in a game. I need to do something-" you harshly pulled your arm away from him and ran towards the tower. Leon quickly caught up to you and hooked his arm around your waist. He hoisted you up in the air and you thrashed in his hold.
You cried. Sobbed and screamed in anger. The once silent abandoned city was now filled with your angry screams.
"Let me go!" You struggled against him, but he didn't move. He knew you were going through a meltdown, and it wasn't safe for you to act in a fit of anger.
"I said let me go!!... let me go," your head fell forward as he slowly put you down on the floor. You clung to him as you cried loudly. You were so angry and hurt. This was the last straw for you.
It was heartbreaking, really. There was nothing you could do except watch as these innocent people died. President Mendez won this battle but you vowed to yourself that you'll win this war.
War.
You declared war.
-
Both you and Leon walked back to base. Something changed in you as you walked through the halls and towards the meeting room.
You slammed your fists on the table, "Send a message to the president," you started with anger on your tone and face.
"Tell her that tomorrow morning, we will start a war. And we will win this war."
The other insurgents looked at you and then at Leon who stood behind you. They all stood still and you only got more angry.
"I said- send her a fucking message that says we declare war on her. Now."
