Okay guys it’s happening!! My work hours have finally calmed down, and my boyfriend and I decided to join the neighborhood snapfitness. It’s a tiny little gym, only a 5 minutes bike ride away, and it has all the necessary equipment that we’ve so badly missed! Our first workout is this morning, so I’ll let you know how it goes. Before, I’m just having an English muffin with peanut butter and honey 😋
I’m so not used to being in a gym, I’m barely used to doing at home workouts. I feel thicker, I feel slower, I feel more easily winded. I feel unathletic and I feel like I’ve lost a huge part of my identity. Without a routine and some sort of accountability, I find it really difficult to maintain my fitness, so I’m hoping this helps. Do y’all love at home workouts? Or are you gym rats like me?

I’m feeling discouraged this week. At the house I was staying at over the weekend, I found a scale in the bathroom. I couldn’t help myself so I looked at my weight and was disappointed at the number.
Starting today I’m going to be more disciplined about my workout routine. The temperature has dropped so hopefully it’ll be easier. And I’m cooking a delicious healthy meal when I’m home, updates to come!

Okay this might not look delicious but I was so happy with how this turned out! Rice & broccoli topped with lemon garlic cod, so delicious! The heat makes me have no appetite so I didn’t finish all of this, but I wish I had now that I’m looking at it 😂 we went grocery shopping today and got so many goodies. Healthy desserts, plenty of meat, snacks, veggies, our whole freezer is stocked. And I cleaned out the fridge so it’s all clean.
My only complaint is our sink smells funky, and I can’t find any garbage disposal cleaners anywhere, any advice?

makeshift breakfast this morning because I forgot my lunch at home. I cut up an apricot and added it to yogurt with some honey on top. Crazy delicious and refreshing in this 90 degree heat! Still haven’t worked out this week but the temperature is dropping today so maybe today I’ll squeeze one in!

delicious dinner last week!!
Shrimp fried rice with yogurt & sriracha mayo 😋 still made it a little too spicy for my boyfriend but I LOVED it! I ended up doing four resistance workouts this last week & even managed to do some cardio boxing workouts but the heat is getting to be too much :(

Crazy filling breakfast burrito! Probably because I slathered a WHOLE avocado on this guy 😭
Prosciutto, egg, and a little bit of cheese 😋
I really splurged and bought a whole lot of active wear this week (like seriously ... $300+ worth of active wear) so I’m hoping it’ll give me even MORE motivation! My LISS yesterday was walking around the mall 😂 today I’m hoping to box again and do my next strength workout!

omg dinner last night was life saving 😭
I stir fried some chicken and broccoli and other frozen veggies with seasame oil and a whole lot of spices/sauces. It made the whole house smell delicious 😋 I cooked some rice to go underneath, and topped it with leftover avocado and sriracha mayo. I ended up putting some hoisin sauce on the last few bites because ur girl loves sauce.
Yesterday I smashed the remaining resistance workout from week 2 (because it bugs me when I don’t finish out a week), and then did a boxing workout with my roommates. It was really fun and made me absolutely exhausted. The only downside is I have a huge bruise on my leg from where I blocked a kick, and my lower back is really sensitive :( I hate when that happens because it makes me unable to workout until it feels better. Hopefully I can go on a low impact walk tonight with my boyfriend!

Breakfast @ work! It’s becoming a bad habit of mine to wait until noon for my first meal, no wonder I’m so hungry 😭
This English muffin was topped with cream cheese, half an avocado, salami, and a fried egg! Yum! Now for my first resistance session of the week :)
I missed one last week and feel really icky about it but I’m trying to not let it get to me. I got a UTI on Saturday and it really discouraged me from working out, but I’m back on it this week!

Basically the same as yesterday, except with honey and cinnamon on top 😋 yesterday we ordered sushi, and then my roommate brought home donuts from work so we had a bit of a cheat dinner. So this morning I’m not feeling 100% and need to detox a little bit, this breakfast definitely helps me feel energized and happy.
I’m having some green tea as well, and I’m planning on doing my last resistance session this afternoon!

Breakfast this morning ❤️
Smoothie made with frozen banana, peach, and pineapple. I added in nonfat plain Greek yogurt (my favorite as y’all know), and some oat milk. I was going to add in some of my new vegan protein powder but I decided against this morning. Topped with granola, local farm fresh raspberries, coconut shavings, and chia seeds! 😋
I did full body tabata with FIERCE, for beginner week 2. It killed me!

Dinner last night was a 10/10 from me, but only a 5/10 from the boyfriend because I added WAY too much spice for his liking 😭 mango salsa chicken on rice! So delicious!
I ended up not doing my workout yesterday and feel a little guilty, but I ate healthy all day. For dessert I had some halo top icecream, and one of those dole chocolate covered banana slices from the icecream aisle! I also love those chocolate covered blueberries and pomegranate seeds even though they’re pretty high calorie 😋
I also !! just got asked to be maid of honor for my childhood best friend’s wedding!! Eep! I’m so excited, and this also gives me a new goal! I want to look snatched at this wedding because last wedding season I felt very self conscious of my arms and legs and face. Of course I’d never take away from the bride’s beauty 🥰 woohoo!

Shrimp fried rice with cauliflower for dinner last night - super delicious! I’m definitely not the biggest fan of seafood, I like to stick with fish and rarely eat shrimp or shellfish, but this was a really good meal and super satisfying. My boyfriend loved it too, and the sriracha mayo on top was the perfect addition 😋

breakfast yesterday - I’m really bummed I ran out of Greek yogurt because this is my favorite breakfast these days. Surprisingly really filling and satisfying, but not too heavy!
I ended up taking a nice long walk with the baby yesterday, so I skipped the workout when I got home. My back is sore from carrying the baby for extra hours this week, and I needed a little rest. Also the strength full body resistance the day before kicked my BUTT and made me so sore, but today I’m hoping to get the tabata workout done!

Another breakfast sandwich for today, my go-to during the work week! Maybe I’ll start bringing granola and yogurt tomorrow 🤷🏼♀️ this is just an organic English muffin, half an avocado, a fried egg, a few pieces of prosciutto, and creme fraiche because my nanny family is fancy and why not 😭
Debating whether I’ll go on a LISS walk today, after a rest day yesterday. Either way, I’m doing strength resistance once I’m home!

Officially dubbed “best presentation” for this dinner, by my boyfriend 😭 and his had an egg and a whole avocado on top because his appetite is absolutely insatiable.
I’m not sure if this constitutes as a Buddha bowl, but that’s what I’m calling it! Jasmine rice on the bottom (I always cook mine with a little slab of butter and a good amount of salt), with ground turkey (seasoned with sesame oil, soy sauce, and lots of spices), toasted chickpeas, brussel sprouts, butternut squash (I slathered it in olive oil and honey, with salt and cinnamon on top), and then I threw some Greek yogurt and sriracha mayo on top! Oh and red onion and jalapeño of course 😋
My entire upper body was completely sore from boxing yesterday, so I chickened out and didn’t workout. I don’t want to overdo it and hurt my back!

My usual work-day breakfast! English muffin, cream cheese, and an extra gooey fried egg.
I took a nice long walk with the baby today for my LISS and then when I got home, my boyfriend insisted on sparring. He loves to box, and I’m afraid of it, so he lets me wear the big huge gloves and we did som HIIT together. It’s really fun and works your shoulders and biceps way more than any other cardio I can think of. For lunch today, I had a rice cake with some toppings and snacked until now. I feel a little gross because of it, but now time to cook some dinner!
