Toullie Headcanons! 🐀🩶

These headcanons are based on the cartoon version of this character, not the game version.

Toullie is highly curious, callous, and very talkative.

He gets very upset when people mispronounce his name. ("It's pronounced TWO-EE!")

He is a major chatter box. He loves hearing himself talk. Unfortunately, most people don't like hearing him talk and he often gets told to shut up.

Surprisingly, he's smarter than people think! He often builds gadgets out of random junk he finds and tries to sell them at a ridiculous prices.

Speaking of junk, he enjoys collecting random things, proudly calling himself a "Trash Rat."

He is a terrible cook. He manages to burn cereal.

He often tries to do a fake "evil laugh" but always ends up coughing. His real laugh is very high-pitched and squeaky.

He has a not-so-secret crush on Hoppy Hopscotch. However Hoppy doesn't seem to reciprocate the feelings.

Toullie absolutely can not stand Bubba. He thinks he's a "stuck-up know-it-all but really, he don't know nuthin'!" He also tries to constantly correct Bubba to try and embarrass him.

He also has a Tom and Jerry type rivalry with Catnap. He loves to mess with and agitate the poor cat. Usually, Catnap gives him a dose of karma.

He is best friend is Simon Smoke. The two love to explore junk yards and abandoned buildings to see what kind of "treasures" they can find.

He's also pretty close with Maggie Mako. She's often the only one willing to test out his crazy inventions.

His favorite food is peanut butter and tuna sandwiches.

His favorite song is Unity by TheFatRat.

Simon Smoke Headcanons! ��❤️

These headcanons are based on the cartoon version of this character, not the game version.

Simon is loud, proud, and extremely vain. He always wants to be in the spotlight.

Like Rabie Baby, his parents are rich. He loves bragging about all the cool stuff he has and often makes fun of other people for being "poor."

He acts cool and tough but has a massive insecurity complex. If someone calls him out on it, he'll get super defensive and in some cases lash out.

He can fly and breath fire! While he's pretty good at flying, he still hasn't quite mastered his flame breath. He usually ends up spitting a cloud of smoke which is how he got his nickname.

His arch enemy is Craftycorn. He claims she's "too soft" and an easy target but in reality, he's probably jealous that she has such good control of her powers. (Or he has a big fat crush on her.)

He also hates Kickin' Chicken. He says it's because he thinks they're a "big fat faker" but it's mostly because they're what he wishes he could be: cool and popular with friends that love him for who he is, not what he has.

His best friend is Touille. The two of them love to explore junkyards and see what they can find. They also team up to harass Bubba and Craftycorn.

He's also close with Allister Gator. The two of them love to play wrestle and rough house, though Simon often loses. Or as he says "lets him win."

His favorite food is extra rare steak.

His favorite song is Monster by Skillet.

These headcanons are based on the cartoon version of this character, not the game version.

She's a typical mean girl, very bossy and rude, even to her friends.

She loves to gossip. This unfortunately is partially her mother's fault as she's constantly talking about drama from work. Her mom's job, you ask? A news reporter.

Speaking of her parents, her father is rich! He is constantly spoiling his "darling little girl."

Her arch enemy is Bobby Bearhug. She claims it's because she's "too nice" and "is just pretending to be all sweet." Perhaps she's a bit jealous?

Speaking of Bobby, both are very affectionate to their friends! The only difference is Rabie Baby has zero concept of boundaries.

She'll often blackmail people to make them do what she wants, usually by threatening to spread a nasty rumor about them.

Her best friend is Maggie Mako. They love to gossip and tell secrets. They also both have a sweet tooth.

Her favorite food is strawberries.

Her favorite song is Bubblegum B!tch by MARINA

Nightmare Critters Headcanon Poll!

Hey everyone! Sorry about the lack of writing lately. I just got my bedroom remodeled and I've been super busy which hasn't left a lot of time for writing.

Anyways, I'm still working on a request as well as other projects. In the meantime, I decided to make this poll to see which Nightmare Critter I should make headcanons on next. So tell me:

I am a Christian but I don't often say it because...well, I'm ashamed to. I don't want to be associated with the extremists or "Bible thumpers" who condem people to Hell.

But then I realized, those people are not true Christians. The cornerstone of Christianity is that God loves everyone. We are all children of God.

Let me say it again.

GOD LOVES EVERYONE. WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF GOD.

If you don't believe that, you're not a true Christian.

Far-right Christians really do the Bible a disservice by treating it as a book God dictated and had wrote down for him. It's a living document, ever evolving just as Christianity has. It's an imperfect work written by imperfect people talking about the perfect God within the context of their time and culture. I really want to make a project out of rereading my Bible and reading it that way.

Let's talk about Smiling Critters ships.

As most of you know, I make it clear that in my stories, the relationships between all the Smiling Critters are purely platonic. This is because, in my head canon, they're children. (Bubba the oldest being twelve, Catnap the youngest being nine and the rest falling somewhere in between.) However, that doesn't mean I don't have a few pairs that I enjoy. (Ex. Catnap and DogDay but NOT the BBI versions)

I know shipping children can be seen as problematic but there are lots of kids shows with child protagonists that include a love interest. I believe as long as things are kept strictly SFW, (hugs, cuddles, and kisses on the cheek) then it should be okay. For the sake of my stories, I plan to keep the relationships platonic but I might do a story about one of my ships. I really enjoy writing romance but I sadly haven't gotten to do it much.

I have a idea

After player and dogday have a game of fetch player gets an idea he becomes the tickle monster and gets dogday with tickles on the sides and tummy and raspberries than it switches to ler dogday and Lee player when dogday gets up and wiggles his fingers and tells player he’s the tickle monster now and gets him with side tickles tummy tickles and raspberries than it ends off with a cuddle attack from dogday.

how does this sound do you like it?

Poor Yarnaby 🧶

This fic was a request submitted by @mr-story based on their ask!

Yarnaby was taking a walk through the park. He stopped under a tree to rest for a bit when he noticed a soccer ball roll up to him. He curiously swatted at it with his paw, when he heard DogDay call out to him.

"Hey, Yarnaby! Thanks for finding our ball. Do you want to join us?"

Yarnaby's eyes light up with excitement. "Yeah! I'd love to! Are you sure your friends won't mind?" DogDay laughed. "Of course they won't mind! I'm sure they'll love you! Come on, we're burning daylight!" DogDay picked up his ball and ran to join his friends with Yarnaby in tow.

Once he rejoined his fellow critters, he convinced them to let Yarnaby join their game leaving Hoppy, Kickin', Catnap and DogDay on one team and Simon, Icky, Maggie and Alister on the other team. Although the Nightmare Critters weren't happy about it, Simon was delighted. After all, there was no way they could lose with someone as big as him on their team, right? Well unfortunately, no.

Despite being much bigger than the critters and outnumbering the other team five to four, Yarnaby was struggling to keep up. Of course, it wasn't his fault. He was at a big disadvantage being a quadruped. However, that didn't stop the Nightmare Critters from taking out their anger on Yarnaby. They continued to berate him until he finally had enough.

"Stop being so mean to me! I'm doing my best!" Yarnaby shouted, his voice cracking with sadness.

"Aww, what's the matter? You gonna cry~?" Simon mocked causing his friends to laugh. "Maybe you should stop being so terrible at this game!" Icky shouted. Unable to handle the taunting, Yarnaby ran off in tears. Catnap and DogDay looked at each other and nodded before running off to find their friend.

Yarnaby was curled up under a tree, crying softly. Then he heard someone calling him. "Yarnaby! There you are! We were looking everywhere for you!" Yarnaby didn't even turn around to look at them. "Just go away! I only mess things up. I ruined everything! I guess I'm just too different to fit in..."

Catnap placed a paw on Yarnaby's head, speaking in a soft, comforting voice. "Don't say that. You don't ruin everything. As for being "too different," there's no shame in standing out. I was pretty different. I was often alone but then I met DogDay! So even if you don't fit in, you'll find your people one day!" DogDay nodded. "He's right! Besides, we consider you our friend. We really like playing with you!"

Yarnaby perked up a little, seemingly feeling a little better. "Thanks guys. I like playing with you too! I'm glad were friends." Both Catnap and DogDay wrapped the wooly lion in a big hug, causing him to make a soft snorting sound called a chuff. Catnap began gently scratching Yarnaby's back, right between the shoulder blades. The rainbow-colored kitty jolted. He scrunched up his shoulders and started giggling.

"Ehehehe! C-Cahahatnap! You're tickling me!"

A playfully wicked smirk crept across the purple cat's face. He whispered something to his friend, who nodded in agreement. "Oh, Yarnaby~" They said in unison. "Yeah, what is...Hey, why are you looking at me like that?" He asked with a slight nervous edge to his voice.

Suddenly, Yarnaby was attacked by the Day and Night Duo. Catnap climbed onto Yarnaby's back and tickled his upper spine and ribs while DogDay slipped underneath him and tickled his belly. He barely had anytime to process what was happening before bursting into laughter.

"HAHAHAHAHA! CAHAHATNAHAP! DOHOHGDAHAHAY! W-WAHAHAIT! THAHAHAT TIHIHICKLES!"

Although he was terribly ticklish, Yarnaby tried to keep from struggling as he didn't want to accidentally hurt the little critters. That didn't stop him from squirming and wriggling, not that it did much to dissuade his attackers. "Aww! You're so cute, Yarnaby! Tickle tickle tickle~!" DogDay cooed. Catnap chuckled joining in on the playful teases. "What's wrong? Can the big bad beast not handle a few tickles? How precious~" Yarnaby blushed, stomping on the ground.

"EHEHEHE! NOHOHO! HAHAHAHA! I'M NAHAHAHAT CUTE! WAHAHAHA!"

DogDay and Catnap gasped. "Yarnaby! I am surprised at you! You should know that one thing I can't stand is liars. I'm sorry, buddy. But you leave us no choice. Catnap, you know what to do!" Catnap nodded before releasing a small cloud of red smoke. Since he was still giggling so much, he couldn't stop himself from inhaling it. Fortunately, since he was so big, (and Catnap only used a little gas) Yarnaby wasn't put to sleep. However, he did start to feel a bit woozy. Still smiling, Yarnaby flopped down on his side, unaware he had fallen right into their trap.

Yarnaby's eyes snapped open as he felt two sets of hands tickling his belly. He squealed like a little girl before erupting into adorable, hysterical cackles. Both DogDay and Catnap giggled from his explosive reaction. They kept on tickling, DogDay using light, quick scribbling while Catnap gently kneaded with his claws. "Well, I guess you're not the only one who's got a sensitive belly, DogDay~" Catnap chuckled.

"EEK! OHOHO NOHOHO! NAHAHAT THEHERE! EHEHAHAHAHA! OHOHO GOHOHOSH! IHIHIT TIHIHICKLES SOHO BAHAHAD! HAHAHAHA! STOP IT! STAHAHAP!"

Once they saw Yarnaby was reaching his limit, they stopped. The wooly lion was left panting and giggling but he had clearly had a good time. "Wool boy...That was fun. Thanks for cheering me up, guys." He said with a tired but happy smile. DogDay and Catnap smiled back at him. "Aw, no need to thank us. That's what friends are for! Right, buddy?" DogDay asked. Catnap didn't answer.

DogDay turned to see his feline friend fast asleep, nuzzling close to Yarnaby. The vanilla chuckled to himself. "Oh, Catnap. What am I going to do with you?" Yarnaby yawned feeling sleepy too. "Honestly, I could use a "catnap" myself!" He laughed at his joke before inviting DogDay to lay down with him. The playful pup snuggled up next to his purple pal, soon joining him in blissful slumber. Yarnaby watched them sleep, curling up around them protectively.

"Yarn't I luck to have friends like you? Without you guys, I'd come apart at the seams!" He chuckled again at his jokes before setting down for a well-deserved nap.
