He could see that it was starting to get chaotic at the party but this irritating girl wouldn’t leave him the hell alone to go see the outcome of their little plan. Eli rolled his eyes when she turned away, glad to be rid of her but apparently he wasn’t so lucky, she turned back to him before he could leave. Before he could warn her about he was going to hex her if she didn’t clear the fuck out, she began to speak and he raised his eyebrows, his eyes blazing. “I little too late for that, sister dearest.” he said icily. “You thought wrong, didn’t you? I do not love you. And I never will. Turn around and leave before I lose my temper.” 

His words hurt her more than anything ever did in her life. And it just sent the tears rolling down her cheeks. “What have I ever done to you? I never wanted to leave, I never asked to be born this way.” She pleaded, although she was far from convinced this would change anything. But that was all this was about, wasn’t it? Her blood status staining the name, her mother and her fleeing to France for so many years. It had to be about this. “That was not my fault, don’t hate me for something I never wanted.”

“Everyone’s probably too busy with their own dates to bother with me." She laughed, smiling at his costume. “Well, it fits you. Not that you should wear this everyday, you might stand out too much, but it still suits you.”

She could feel the tears forming in her eyes, and quickly turned around with the intention to leave. But Lia faced him once more, staring right into his eyes. “I don’t know what I did, but I love you, you’re my brother. And I thought you loved me too.”

A quick spell took care of the stains on the Dorothy gingham style dress, but still, two times was too many in the scheme of things. “Just… be careful. Okay?” 

Sticking an apologetic smile, Lia held her cup a little tighter. “I’m sorry, I just had a lot of sugar, and punch. And there’s so many people around, I get pushed a lot.” She started rambling before falling silent for a moment, taking a quick glance at the other girl’s dress. “Your dress is fine though, right?”
