Led through the mist, by the milk-light of moon, all that was lost, is revealed. Our long bygone burdens, mere echoes of the spring, but where have we come, and where shall we end? If dreams can’t come true, then why not pretend? How the gentle wind, beckons through the leaves, as autumn colors fall.
Somewhere lost in the clouded annals of history, lies a place that few have seen. A mysterious place, called The Unknown.

“The Divine Beasts are these strange things that draw you to them the instant you lay eyes on them. During development we were seeking to create a giant dungeon, and the Divine Beasts, then called the Four Giant Relics, were what came from that. They were very challenging to design. I vividly remember all of the sketches… ; it was a mountain of effort that finally yielded a path forward. Despite their strong resemblance to animals in silhouette, they also contain elements of palaces, factories, and bridges. They were designed to look like living machines and possess traits that make them both cute and unsettling. It’s not exactly clear whether they are on your side or not, so I made them strange enough that the player would be curious enough about them to want to explore them right away.” – Satoru Takizawa, Art Director. From Creating a Champion [The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild].
