Haha yeah I get a similar feeling. I do wonder if its just that people whose favourite out the two is Max don't mind seeing Max x Other people and people whose favourite is Charles don't mind seeing Charles x Other people!

F me I enjoy reading Max with so many different pairings but his one true pairing is always Charles.

X-Factor Bootcamp Timeline (with sources & pictures) / 18 - 23 July 2010

After losing my marbles a little yesterday over not being able to find good sources on whether X-Factor bootcamp really started on 18 July 2010 and what happened on which day exactly, I wanted to make this post for myself (and for everyone who is interested).

For proof and better understanding what happened on which day, I listed all of the outfits they wore on the bootcamp days, incl. all video links. We know 23 July 2010 has been officially recognised as the date that One Direction was formed and we know what they wore when that happened. That was my starting reference point. We also know what Louis and Harry wore in their first picture together.

So, let's go!

This fantastic YouTube channel uploaded the bootcamp series videos. I watched all of those glorious 360p bastards in slow motion to peep Harry and Lou (and there were quite a few moments of them separately I hadn't noticed before, so cute! 🥹) In the process, this post has also kind of turned into a whole recap of when Harry and Louis can be seen in the bootcamp videos, oops.

Day 1 - 18 July 2010

Harry wore a black shirt, a brown hat, beige baggy trousers with tight cuffs, dark Toms and some sort of scarfs around both of his wrists; grey on the right and black on the left. 9:41 / 9:34 / 6:59 / 5:29

Louis wore a grey cardigan, black shirt, grey scarf, brown belt, blue 3/4 jeans, and black Toms. 6:56 talking to Liam / 2:37 in the background / 4:54 / 9:34 / 2:22 he's the 6th from left and we can see him jumping in joy & celebrating when he gets to the next round

Harry and Louis were in the same group on Day 1 (H on the very left and Lou on the very right), which meant they would've heard the other one sing live for the first time 🥹 9:34

Zayn wore a grey shirt and a black leather jacket. 6:21 / 6:16

Niall wore a grey cardigan, a grey shirt, and blue jeans. (click to enlarge) 5:30

Liam wore a red-white plaid shirt, a white belt, dark jeans, and white shoes. 7:08 / 6:56 talking to Louis after they're through to the next round / 2:04

At 6:12 we see Harry and Zayn celebrating that they are through to the next round

At 6:14 we see Niall, Louis and Liam celebrating that they're all through (they're in the same group with Zayn and Harry), but all screenshots were such a pixelated mess that I'll leave them out.

At 6:56 we see them after that, now off-stage. Louis is talking to Liam, and Niall dances an Irish dance and Harry talks to someone else :D (please watch it in video, it's so cute)

The same day, Harry and Louis appear to notice (or at least sing into each other's direction) in the stairwell. This video was not aired in the official X-Factor show and seems to have been filmed by one of the contestants. It shows them practicing Man In The Mirror in a large group together.

In the video, we can see all of their Day 1-outfits well, too.

Day 2 - 19 July 2010

Louis wears a wine red beanie, white collared shirt, black baggy 3/4 sweatpants with a big white 'HOLLISTER' print on the left front leg, black Toms, and we can see his Leeds 2009 wristband again 0:18 / 3:48 and 3:51 and 4:38 and 6:40 and 12:21 in the background / 6:53 with Harry right behind him

Harry wore his famous grape-coloured shoes (💜), a wine red hoodie, a thick black beanie and dark 3/4 trousers. Under the hoodie, he wore a purple shirt with a giant S on it and at the end of Day 2 (13:01), he had fastened his beanie with a black headband. 1:09 / 3:09 / 3:34 / 4:21 / 5:23

Niall wore a grape-coloured shirt, a dark belt, blue stonewashed jeans, and white shoes. 0:46 / 3:59

Liam wore a dark grey longsleeve, black belt, black jeans, and white shoes. 4:17 / 6:58

Zayn wore a white shirt, black necklace, black jeans, and white shoes. When he wasn't in dance practice, he wore a dark brown-ish cardigan, too. 5:37 with Louis being a beautiful, flamboyant goof next to him / 7:51 / 9:24 lots of close-ups of Harry and him dancing together - honestly, do yourself a favour and (re-)watch that iconic minute ✨

Day 2 was the day they learned a dance together. They switched positions the entire time; sometimes it was clear to see where Louis and Harry were and you can see them both dancing. 3:06

And in the final dance performance, they were once again all grouped together. (Zayn was missing, because the script was that he refused to dance; I doubt it was real) 6:59 (it's quite a long dance scene and really nostalgic to watch)
