Lionfish Developments skillfully renovate old Toronto home and inject it with modern sensibility. Their lighting strategy involved choosing lights that felt warm and elegant yet simplistic in their design. Luminaires from Canadian Lambert & Fils, Flos, and RBW illuminate the home throughout. The Delphinium chandelier designed by William Brand & Annet van Egmond of Brand van Egmond. Nickel and steel. A playful hint of hedonism is created by the frivolous garlands carrying delicate glass. Great for creating some drama.

The MOD.548 table lamp designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1961. At the time of its design, its moveable projector that directs the light towards a reflecting screen, and a supporting bar at the base acting as a counterweight were novel design features, and perhaps responsible for the luminaire’s continued relevance. Flos recently re-issue MOD.548, fitting it with an LED source and optical switch with dimmer. Also available in blue and brass.
