Jimmy McCulloch was in the wings from 1974 - 1977 as their lead guitarist, he'd worked with quite a few musicians throughout his lifetime and had been in a few bands. Pete Townshend is someone who started his whole career. Only two years after leaving the band on the 27th of September, 1979, Jimmy passed away from heart failure due to morphine and alcohol poisoning at the age of 26. Pete Townshend has said that if he'd never come into Jimmy's life, he may still be alive today.

I never knew how hated Maureen was. I thought you lot were exaggerating when you call her the "overhated queen", because she really is. Some fans call her a trashy human being, a homewrecker and some even said she spent her whole life trying to impersonate Pattie. Like I know she was wrong to sleep with George but guess who else was also in the wrong, George himself! It's like some of you purposefully turn a blind eye to George and blame anyone but him. Anyways, here is a few pics for Maureen appreciation:

On this day in 1971 Paul & Linda McCartney released their album "RAM".

❝ When we were in New York to do Ram, I held auditions for a drummer. It was embarrassing. I’ve never auditioned anyone before. I hired a depressing basement with a tatty drum kit in it. I’d auditioned quite a few drummers and then Denny (Seiwell) walked in. Apart from anything else, he was a lot younger than the others. Some drummers just couldn’t play in there. Denny went straight for the tom-toms and within seconds, the room began to throb. I was sold! He’s also a technically good drummer, and has a bass voice. ❞
