seeing this made me giggle after having contributed four fics to the tag in a span of 24 hours lol

You know, I've been getting into Polytrix fanfics on Ao3 and....im surprised I have yet to find one where it looks at their relationship becoming public.

Like, theres so much interesting potential there, especially since theyre so devoted to their fans (and we dont know how their fans potentially falling out with them might affect the new honmoon). What might be the public reaction? How might their fans start to see them? Might they be smeared by the news, social media etc? What might Bobby think?

Just saying, someone needs to do a fic or headcanons or the like on that idea. Its filled with potential.

Fanfic prompt:

Mira comes from a prestige family dating the K-pop royalty, Rumi. Until both of them end up falling for the Korean-American Zoey, a rising producer and lyricist

Rumi has developed some PTSD after the events of the movie and this leads to occasional nightmares about everything that happened.

The trio's separation, Jinu's sacrifice, her revelation as a half-demon, Celine... The deaths of the people in the city.

No matter how hard she tries, sometimes it is impossible for her to just go back to sleep and this forces her to seek support from her girlfriends. She tends to go to Zoey first because she is a slightly lighter sleeper than Mira.

She is greeted with a smile and this only makes her break down in tears faster and sink into the embrace of the black-haired girl, who tries to calm her down as much as she can... They then tend to stay silent in each other's company, until they both feel the envelopment of Mira's embrace on them.

Rumi quickly apologizes for waking her up, but Mira tends to say that she woke up alone to go get a drink of water (a loving lie so as not to worry her... Zoey knows this) and she concludes that she just saw the glow of Rumi's marks under the door and came to check to see if everything was okay...

In the end the three of them lie down together, with Rumi between them, the warm glow of the marks illuminating the darkness of Zoey's room, but when the purple-haired one once again tries to argue about the light bothering them, both Mira and Zoey just wrap her tighter in their embrace and say that there is no discomfort in that and that these lights spread across her body are a good symbol so that they always know where Rumi is so that they can always run to her if she needs help.

List of things that might be fun to explore in KPDH fics;

Rumi’s patterns do in fact change with her emotions. She tries to hide it but fans just think she paints over them sometimes for shows and stuff so she eventually stops

She loses the demon eye color but it comes back when she’s really angry and when she’s in the dark. Accidentally scared the shit out of the girls because Rumi went to the kitchen while half asleep and she had glowing amber eyes. It’s sometimes convenient to have night vision but it does make her sensitive to quick lighting changes

Sometimes has fangs? She can’t seem to control that very much, sometimes it happens when she’s angry or annoyed, also when she’s hungry but not all the time? Finally Rumi figures out that they appear when she’s really hangry.

Absolutely purrs. I don’t care that it doesn’t make a lot of sense but she PURRS. Maybe it’s more of a rumble than a purr but still. Absolutely adorable and she’s embarrassed about it for the longest but Zoey thinks it’s the cutest thing in the world and Mira goes out of her way to scratch Rumi’s head exactly the way that makes her melt so she gets over it.

AU where, instead of running away when Mira and Zoey raised their weapons at her, Rumi collapses to her knees and begs them to kill her

Gwi-Ma gains control over her and forces her to fight them against her will, and they almost kill her (they're trying very hard not to hurt her, but Mira would accidentally stab her or cut off her hand or something cause she comes very close to hurting Zoey)

Little Rumi growing up having to hide a part of herself she was told and taught was evil. To deny a part of herself because it was going to be gone one day anyway. Rumi growing up in cameras and audiences, always having to deal with paparazzi.

Little Mira growing up feeling different from her family. Growing up as the black sheep, told she was too angry and rebellious.

Little Zoey growing up split between two sides. Always having to deny one part of herself if she wanted to embrace the other. Zoey growing up being told she was too much. Zoey finding escape in music and lyrics.

All of them coming together and being excepted by the others. They loved each other for everything nobody else would before. They loved every part of each other that their younger selves were told were too much or weren’t enough. Just them loving each other and therefore learning to themselves.
