hello! You probably haven’t seen this blog before, that’s because it’s brand new!

Hi. My name is Joella and one thing I enjoy a lot is calligraphy and lettering. I do it on procreate like you see above AND on watercolor or sketch paper.

So, how did I get started in calligraphy? Well, almost a year ago now I received a workbook that teaches you calligraphy and lettering. I practiced every day. I brought it to airports, on vacations. I worked on it in my free time as well until I could easily write names, words, and phrases in a beautiful font.

One day my art teacher advertised our school’s winter art market and I immediately thought, “hey…I have something to sell!” I immediately signed up and several months later I was standing behind a folding table decorated with my work. The market lasted two days and I profited 60 dollars. Not bad if I do say so myself. I got TONS of compliments and a friend of mine suggested I take my little lettering display/store onto the internet.

Unfortunately, it’s not a store at the moment. I’m a minor, first of all. And I also have a pretty busy schedule.

I’m so excited to share my work and get requests!

TLDR?: I learned how to do calligraphy and lettering through a workbook and sold my work through my school’s winter market. A friend suggested I share and sells my work online and while I’m not selling, I am sharing.
