April 4, 2004 is the day I died. I'm not talking some hypothetical death. I mean, I took a 7.62 rifle round right between the eyes and then was overdosed by a medic 8 hours later after a running firefight (in which I was fighting the whole time) on morphine which stopped my heart. I woke up being zipped into a body bag by a medic in Baghdad. April 4. I lost a lot of friends 17 years ago today. I ask that those who are so inclined to lift a glass to their memories and to stop and lift a word of prayer for their families who still mourn for their loss (I know they do, I still talk to most of them.) We fight because it's what we do. We bled because we choose the hard way and chose to defend a family from insurgents instead of retreating and leaving them behind. So this Easter I ask that you celebrate my honored dead. I will see them again in the Resurrection.

Maybe this is what they're doing? https://youtu.be/9SE8RjyTq3A
So, saw more pictures of the CHAZ, and one that made me laugh was a picture of their garden plots.
Garden plots which….I will be entirely frank, are the kind of garden plots people who have never made food gardens would plant. Or any gardens. Circular/large plots, with no/minimal drainage, and just….minimal utilization of the space in question. If you are going to focus on food production, you need to have some better organization and ability to protect the food in question from both sabotage and from damage from foot traffic and animal traffic.
If your intent is to secure the zone in a long term, the major things you need are shelter, food, water, medicine, and defense. You, generally, don’t have much of any of these, from what I see.
I don’t want to laugh, but I am going to look at this, and the other stuff that’s reportedly happening, and merely say, this is the best that anarcho-communists can achieve.
That’s enough for me to say.
