<he points at himself and shakes his head and he points at someone’s house. He decides to try writing again>
Tumblr media
<trying to say he doesn’t have anywhere to go… he takes the bread and gives a small nod to the large man. He tries to make some more guestures to convey he doesn’t have anywhere to go>
<one day while he’s out shopping, Flouride notices a small looking kid on the street, he doesn’t seem to be with anyone. He’s darting from ally to ally and seems a bit lost. He’s wearing tattered clothes and a hood. He has wide blue eyes and seems rather frighted>
@little-lost-hare
Flouride was a little... dizzy.
Despite that, he blended into the overwhelming crowd, shoving his way through the ever-growing crowded streets. It was a high noon, and it felt awfully crowded at the wrong time.
His head hurt... but Yvette had asked for some things, so he'd get them. Flouride wouldn't let the lady go out on her own with the sheer amount of kids she had anyways.
That doesn't mean he wasn't attentive. In Zaun, being unaware of your surroundings was just an invitation to get robbed. So despite how much he'd rather tune out every single stimuli that threatened his sanity, he didn't. Which meant he saw the kid out on the street.
Tiny people and yordles weren't uncommon here. It should've been his immediate reaction to not investigate- this was Zaun after all. Flouride wished his common sense wasn't clouded as it was, but whatever. Kids move in a specific way, tiny people and yordles don't have those big eyes either.
Worst case scenario, he'd have to kill someone who was trying to use the kid as bait.
Best case scenario, he gets a genuine excuse to use with Yvette as to why he only has half of the requested items.
That entire thought process is how he ended up within one of the alleyways, following the kid and extending a piece of bread... with one hand absolutely ready to take his gun out and shoot anyone should he hear anyone else approaching.. but not on the gun.

<it’s always odd hearing your name in a different language, he sniffles and nods rubbing his face to clear the tears… he starts to relax slightly. His stomach rumbles again… it’s started to get dark out and he has nowhere to go>
<Polaris thinks hard, his face scrunching up. He points at himself, points at the darkening surroundings and shakes his head. Hoping to convey he had no where to go>

<he looks up at the large man… he isn’t used to this many kinds of people… especially not giant ones with sharp teeth and green eyes. He doesn’t understand what the man is saying to him, he does understand the bread though… and that this man had followed him into the alley. His ears twitch and flatten to his head and he tilts his head to the side before cautiously saying>
ᚢᚺᚺ… ᚹᚺᛟ ᚨᚱᛖᛁᛟᚢ?… ᚹᚺᛁ ᛞᛁᛞᛁᛟᚢ ᚠᛟᛚᛚᛟᚹᛗᛖ?… ᚹᚺᛁ ᚨᚱᛖᛁᛟᚢ ᛊᛟ ᛒᛁᚷ…?
<it doesn’t appear that the man understood him… no one here seems to. And suddenly he feels very small, and very overwhelmed he feels himself fighting back tears. He must be further from home than he thought. he looks up at the man, his hood falls back revealing long rabbit ears, they stick up and twitch every so often changing direction to listen around him>
