AO3 IS IN TROUBLE IF CALIFORNIAN AGE VERIFICATION LAW PASSES

An upcoming Age verification bill centered in California will be voted on Monday-- And as always,instead of actually protecting kids, it will lead to more online censorship and privacy risks, as it will force websites hosting to verify their users age by sending their ID, your browser history would be linked to it. if you live California, call your reps and tell them to oppose the bill AB3080 as it highly unconstitutional.

They also deem LGBT content harmful to minors, as well as mentions of weapons and tobacco, putting them on the same level as NSFW content.

Since AO3 headquarters reside in California, much like Reddit, Twitter,Discord and Youtube (and others) who knows how bad the effects would be. Instead of just effecting Californians (even then its concerning.) the effects would be US or even worldwide. VPNs wont help.

i think. the eddie and tommy friendship shouldn't be a background thing actually. like we shouldn't forget that this all started with eddie and tommy having a connection. and i honestly believe that we should see more of that friendship not even for the sake of the whole buddietommy triangle or any of that but just because. eddie seemed really happy to make a new friend and tommy already talked about wanting to belong and to find bonds like the ones in the 118 and i just think they're both so good for each other's lives

Buck can’t stop thinking about Tommy’s hands.

To be fair, there are a lot of things about Tommy that are constantly on Buck’s mind. The flutter of Tommy’s lashes when he looks down, the way his smile goes crooked when he’s particularly pleased, the curve of his waist, the sheer size of his chest, and the coiled strength that Buck can see right underneath his skin— Buck could go on.

There’s just something about Tommy’s hands. Buck just doesn’t know what it is about them that has him so enraptured.

Hands have never been something he’s focused on before with his partners, but with Tommy he can’t not notice them. He finds himself drawn to the strong lines of Tommy’s fingers, the ridges and valleys of his knuckles, the way he can see the veins and tendons shifting under Tommy’s skin whenever he reaches out to touch Buck.

The first time Tommy wraps his hand around Buck’s, twisting their fingers together as they wait in line for a movie, Buck’s stomach does a somersault as butterflies erupt behind his breastbone. He feels bubbly and light and can’t stop smiling. Tommy’s hand is big and warm around his, his hard won calluses gently rasping over the sensitive skin of his palm. It sends a shiver down his spine, leaving him feeling giddy.

Buck can’t stop staring at where they’re hands are connected, even when they’re seated in the dark theater and Buck can only see the vague outline of Tommy’s fingers. In the flashes of light from the movie screen, Buck marvels at how Tommy’s hand makes his look small.

how do you think will eddies relationship end?

i honestly don't know but i kind of want it to be unremarkable. i want eddie to realise he's not as happy as he's been trying to convince himself he is and just drop something along the lines of "i don't think this is working" because honestly i don't want to see edy try to act anything more complex than that. but for eddie's sake? i don't know. it's really difficult for me to grasp how this might end in canon because obviously we have no idea what's going to happen with shannon's return etc. but i think a break up that really doesn't do too much would be quite beneficial to him if that makes sense? his and shannon's, i hesitate to call it a break up but the conversation about divorce, was obviously awful for eddie to experience and is so fraught with her death. then the ana break up was pretty harrowing when you think about it. so i feel like something gentle and just kind of. fizzled out. where it's not catastrophic it's just. yeah sorry this is it. would be kind of freeing? upsetting still obviously because eddie's terrified of being alone and never falling in love again and he'd take this as just another failing on his part for not being able to fall in love. but also to have a relationship and end it freely without it feeling like the end of the world. i think might be good for him?

"buck's queer awakening is quite literally him becoming more fully himself" said by @yramesoruniverse on this post, and for the life of me I can't find Jack's ( @buckttommy ) own post talking about this very topic but. This quote sums up why I too feel like I've... fallen back in love with Buck.

I wouldn't say I truly ever fell out of love with Buck, but there's just been something missing from/about Buck for a couple seasons, you know? And now with his queer awakening, I really feel like Buck has never felt more like Buck in some time. A sort of "oh there you are, I've missed you." He was definitely feeling more like Buck even at the start of season 7, but his queer awakening made everything fully click into place, and man. I love that for him and for us. <3

hot take but I don't think Buck coming out was accidental. there's now way he was smashing his mouth against Tommy for long enough to cut and give out cake and didn't know that his face was covered in soot. and even if he didn't, do you really think Tommy "I didn't want to pressure you" Kinard didn't let Buck know before walking in. Buck had always planned to come out at or before the wedding, he literally told Tommy he wanted to dance with him. and look at his face when Chimney connects the dots. he's like "yeah he was busy. with me. we were making out. can you believe that? i get to make out with this beast. isn't that awesome?" point is, Buck knew full well walking into that room that it was very clear what he and Tommy were doing, and he could not be more happy about that, and THAT is the most in character Buck thing he could ever do

I'm not the only one with this sentiment, but I will say shame on 911 for boasting about their inclusivity - having a prominent character this season discovering/understanding that they're bi - and yet still employing a bigot, Edy Ganem (or whatever the hell her last name is). There's just no way someone at 911, and someone high up like Tim Minear, has not learned the fact that Edy is a homophobe and transphobe.

I'm positive even now people keep forgetting the existence of the character Marisol. So truly, they could have recast the character (it's for different reasons, but they recast Harry, so it can be done) any time if they insist on keeping this nothing of a character until what seems to be the end of this season. Recasting would barely phase anyone. A moment of, "Oh they recast this minor character? Okay." and just move the fuck on.

Plus we wouldn't have to watch Ryan Guzman, a genuinely talented actor, have to carry every scene on his back when he's on screen with Edy. It's painful. And Ryan simply wouldn't have to, even though yes it's his job, be around a shitty person. Free him.
