Lularoe Review

If you're not familiar with Lularoe, they are known for their super comfortable clothing and fun patterns. One thing that makes Lularoe's clothing different from other brands is that it is only available for purchase through their consultants. One of the things I love about this is that when the consultants order, they don't know what prints they're going to end up with, and since there are hundreds of consultants you can follow multiple consultants to see the different patterns that a different one might end up with that you just fall in love with.

I was really excited to get the opportunity to work with Lularoe, because I always hear so much about the clothing and quality of the clothing. So I was excited to test them out for myself. One of the things that really appeals to me about Lularoe is that they are always looking for new ways to revamp and bring new products to the consumers. Just recently it was announced that they'll soon be bringing jeans to their awesome line up. I unfortunately did not get any of those to try out, but I did get some really awesome other styles I'm excited to share with you all.

The first style that I got was the Classic T, which is their basic t-shirt style top. It comes in a variety of patterns and solid colors. The pattern that I got isn’t one that I would pick out for myself, but I actually liked it because it’s a nice neutral pattern and makes for a great business casual look paired with this pencil skirt. It also looks cute dressed down and paired with a basic pair of jean shorts. 

The next style that I got was the Dani. This is one of their newer styles, and is a tank top maxi style dress. Now I’m not going to lie, when I first saw this pattern I really didn’t like it, but after I tried it on, it actually grew on me a little bit. I like plaid patterns, but the extent of plaid that I wear is typically flannel type patterns in the fall and winter. This maxi dress paired so well with a jean jacket or on it’s own. 

This next style that I got is the Caroline cardigan, which is another one of their newer style layering pieces. I really loved this one from the start, the color of it was absolutely beautiful, and the pattern was super fun but also extremely subtle that it didn’t feel like I was wearing anything too far out of my comfort zone. This cardigan is fairly lightweight material also which I really liked, especially for wearing in the earlier or later parts of these summer days. 

This style dress is the Debbie, it is a more fitted dress and has long sleeves. Not really my preferred dress for summer, because of the sleeves, but I really love how basic this dress is and will likely become such a staple item in my fall and spring wardrobes when the weather is a little chillier. I dressed it down a little with this cardigan, but I’m sure that it could be dressed up a little bit more with a cute black moto jacket for a night out also. 

This next dress was one of my favorite items that I got, this one is the Georgia dress. I love that they sent me it in solid black, black is such a staple piece in my wardrobe and one of my favorite colors to wear, especially in my work wear. The one small thing that wasn’t my absolute favorite about this style of dress was that it is a little bit of a heavier dress due to the layering of the ruffles. However, I more than likely would only wear this dress in the spring, fall or winter when I won’t get too hot with the long sleeves and I won’t really mind the heavier weight of the dress to give me a little warmth. I can’t wait to wear this dress all fall and winter long! 

This final dress that I received is the Marly dress and was by far my absolute favorite thing that I got in this shipment. The color of the dress, the pattern and the style of it were 100% on point for me. I love how it looks with a jean jacket as shown above, with a simple cardigan or simply on it’s own with nothing overtop. It has short sleeves, a tie for the waist band and.... POCKETS! I already have been wearing the crap out of this dress and can’t wait to wear it even more.

Loreal Pro-Matte Lea Macron Scented Liquid Lipsticks

I am really familiar with the Loreal brand of makeup, but honestly have not really tried many of their products. I was so excited to get the opportunity to work with Viewpoints Reviews and Loreal on this one to review some of their new lip products! 

I received products in exchange for my honest review and feedback, regardless of this all opinions are my own. 

I was sent 3 different shades of their Les Macarons Scented Liquid lipsticks to sample and try out. I received the colors 820: Praline De Paris, 822: Mon Caramel, and 828: Framboise Frenzy. 

I love trying out and finding new fun lipsticks to wear. I usually gravitate towards more neutral or mauve colors and sometimes deeper burgundy or red colors, I think they tend to look best with my skin tone.

The first Les Macarons color that I tried out was the color 820: Praline De Paris. I wasn't sure how I would like this one upon first appearances, because it's a little more pink than I usually go with for lip colors. When I applied it though it was actually a really nice pink color and I really liked the way it looked on.

The next color that I tried out was 822: Mon Caramel. I knew I was going to like this one just from first glances, because it is right in the color wheel of what I typically gravitate towards. The color was perfect and I loved the way it looks with my everyday make up. It wasn't too bold, but just enough color and pop that it added a little extra to my look.

The final color that I tried out was 828: Framboise Frenzy. I also was a little nervous about this color because it was very bright! Not at all what I'm used to wearing, but I was excited to be able to try out something new. I actually ended up liking it once it was applied, it's not my most favorite color, but is really pretty and would be great for special events when I dress up more.

One of the things that I really liked about the Les Macarons lipsticks were that the applicator was very easy to apply the lipstick on precisely. The lipstick was also pretty long lasting, which is something that I really look for in a lip color. I don't want to be re-applying multiple times throughout the day or night. The pigment color of all of the lipsticks was amazing and didn't bleed or spread onto the skin around my lips or onto my teeth, which was a huge plus for me also. 

The final thing that I really liked was that it was a matte lipstick. It wasn't drying or tacky, which I feel like in a lot of other matte lipsticks that I've tried I usually get one or the other of those combinations.

The only complaint that I had about the lipsticks really was that they claim to be ''scented'' lipsticks. They did have a very slight scent to them, but I think I was hoping for a little bit more of scented flavors than what they were. So that was a little disappointing for me, but if you're not a big fan of scented products, the scent on these is extremely subtle. 

The price point on these lipsticks is super affordable at under $10. You can purchase these at any retailer that sells Loreal makeup. Locally here in Grand Rapids, I've seen these sold at Meijer, Ulta, Walmart and Target. I absolutely think I will be purchasing again in the future and am excited to try out some of the other colors.

Grand Traverse Sauce Company

Anytime I get the opportunity to promote and try out local Michigan businesses I am so happy to jump on that opportunity. Grand Traverse Sauce Company is a small business that is in Northern Michigan (of the lower peninsula). They are veteran owned which I also really loved about this company. They have so many different hot sauces, rubs, mixes and more.

I was able to pick out 2 of the flavors of the Grand Traverse Sauce Co hot sauces that I wanted to sample. I chose The Siren and Red Hot Griff to try out. One is a little bit spicier so I picked that one mostly for Curtis to use, but the other one is a little more mild, so that’s more up my alley.

If you’re local to my area, here in Grand Rapids, then there are 2 locations here that you can pick these up in store if you prefer over online purchasing. Both of the Ken’s Fruit Market locations here in Grand Rapids carry the Grand Traverse Sauce Co. My location was really well stocked with a variety of flavors, as well as the different size bottles.

Curtis and I decided to try these sauces out on our shish-kabob’s. I don’t know what screams good summer eats more than a good grilled kabob, am I right?

When you pour the sauces, you can see that there are a lot of different elements to it that make up the sauce. 

We poured the sauce on the shish kabobs and also had small dipping cups for the pieces that didn’t get coated very well. After trying the Grand Traverse Sauce Co, I can honestly say that Curtis and I are new fans and were very impressed. We can’t wait to try out some of their other sauces and products!

White Birch Toothpaste Review

White Birch is a toothpaste company , that was created by a family of dentists to form a health and personal care company. They had one singular goal to create products that were innovative and superior to other products currently on the market. 

I received product in exchange for my honest review and feedback, regardless of this all opinions are my own. 

I’ve tried other charcoal whitening products the past, but typically it’s either the black charcoal powders or the black charcoal toothpaste. So I was actually really excited to try the White Birch, because it is white charcoal toothpaste! 

One of the things that I liked about this toothpaste was the packaging. I love the white and blue coloring and the logo how it looks like a birch tree. If I were at the supermarket the White Birch toothpaste would definitely catch my eye on a shelf. 

With other charcoal whitening toothpastes and products, you typically see the black charcoal powders or the black toothpaste. What I don't like about those ones is that it leaves your mouth and tongue black, and sometimes you have to brush with just water to get some of the black residue gone. With the White Birch toothpaste, it is a white charcoal, which I love that I can still get the benefits from the charcoal, but not have to deal with the messiness of the black charcoal.

Another thing that I really liked about it was that it is actually pretty foamy. I am not a fan of the toothpastes that don’t have any foam at all to them, so I was really happy that this did. When I put it onto my toothbrush I was a little bit worried that it wouldn’t foam at all. 

The White Birch toothpaste comes in a 4.2oz container, which I thought was a really good size, and it retails for under $15. Now obviously this toothpaste is a bit more pricey than your typical Colgate or Crest, but that is because it is a specialized toothpaste made with ‘’white’’ activated charcoal, which you don’t get in your standard toothpaste. I also liked that the ingredient list is pretty short and doesn't have any ingredients in it that I don't know how to pronounce or know what they are. Love that.

The White Birch toothpaste has a really good fresh mint flavor to it too. I definitely felt like my breath was fresher after using this. It’s hard to say if it significantly whitened my teeth or not after a couple uses, but I definitely am excited to see how this continues to work over time using it.

Nadine West Review

For those of you that are new to my blog, then I'm so excited to share with you about Nadine West. For those of you that have been following me for a while, then you already know all about Nadine West.

I received products in exchange for my honest review and feedback, regardless of this, all opinions are my own. 

I am always so excited when I come home from work and see that big pink package sitting on my porch. It was raining when I got home, so the package itself was a little wet, but the clothing inside was perfectly okay. 

This one was a big package for me, I got 11 items! It seems like I just keep getting more and more things the longer that I’m with Nadine West. I couldn’t wait to see what was inside, because it seems like they just keep getting closer and closer to 100% matching my style. 

The first shirt that I got was this black, blue and white zebra print tank. I really liked the back detail of it, but overall this was one of my least favorite things in this months package. I wasn’t crazy about the colors of the print, the zebra was a little too bold of animal print for my liking and it just didn’t really do anything special for my body type. This one is the Beatriz printed top and would’ve been $30.49 to keep. 

When I first pulled out this dress I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it. I could tell by the material that it was going to be pretty form fitting. When I put it on I was pretty surprised though, I definitely liked it more than I expected to. It looked so cute with this jean jacket and white tennis shoes. This is the Petronia and is $29.99 to keep. 

These shorts are so extremely comfortable. The material is super soft and I love how loose they are, perfect sleep/bedtime shorts. One thing that I really did not care for was that the side of them is not stitched except for basically the band so if you were to wear them out in public, I would be concerned the wind would blow them up. LOL. But for bed, it doesn’t bother me at all. These are the ZenZen and are $20.49 to keep. 

Okay so this shirt was a little strange for me. When I first opened the package I was really excited, because I thought it was a navy tee, which I don’t have anything really in navy shirts. When I tried it on though I was a little disappointed because the neckline almost looks like it was ripped or something and I thought my shirt was damaged. But when I compared to online this is exactly how it was intended to be. Not one of my favorites of this package, which was sad, because I was really excited about it upon initially opening this months package. This is the Terri and is $25.99 to keep. 

I don’t think you can ever have enough pairs of black leggings, am I right? I was really excited to get these in this months package, because I got a dress in my last months package that was a little short and I wore my full length black leggings with, but these cropped ones will be perfect for spring and summer. These are the Modesty and are $16.49 to keep. 

This shirt was one of my favorites in this months package. It is a really pretty dusty rose color and has a dual v-neck. What I mean by that is that both the front and back have a v neckline. The shirt is super light weight, which is so perfect for a hot summer day. This is the Hope shirt and is 27.99 to keep. I do think the price point for the shirt is a little high for what I’d want to pay for a ‘’t-shirt’’ but I did really love this shirt. 

This was another favorite of mine in this months bag. This shirt is also really lightweight and perfect for a hot summer day. I didn’t really have any red shirt prior to getting this so I was really excited to get this. It is a little thin, so if you don’t like that, I would suggest wearing a cami underneath to create a little more opaqueness. It did not come with the tie in front, but I loved the look of the other shirt I got in this months bag with the tie and added it to this one for a little something extra. This shirt is the Olga and was $24.99 to keep. 

The pattern of this dress was pretty cute, but it is not my style at all. I don’t like strapless dresses to start and once I tried it on it also was fairly form-fitting which I also don’t particularly like on my body. This dress is the Dari and was $26.99. 

When I first pulled these shorts out of the bag, I did not think I was going to like them at all. I did have a change of heart though once I tried them on. While they weren’t one of my number one favorites in this bag, I did really like them because they’re not something that I would typically pick out for myself. The material is so extremely soft and breathable. These honestly are a great short for running around doing errands or lounging around the house. I loved that it had the bow tied belt around the waist band and pockets. These shorts were just called Brushed Stripe and were $22.19 to keep. 

The final piece of clothing that I got were these absolutely adorable yellow cotton shorts. I did get a pair of yellow shorts very similar to these ones in a previous bag, but liked these ones a little better - they were slightly different so the other pair was gifted to my sister. These are so super comfortable, very lightweight and breathable. I think these will quickly become one of my favorite pairs of shorts this summer. They can also very easily be dressed up or down. These were called Summer Getaway and were $18.99 to keep. 

I did also get a piece of jewelry in this bag, a feather necklace called Feather Weather that was also really cute. I forgot to take an actual photo of the one that came in my bag, but just like with all of my previous bags it also came in one of those adorable mesh pouches for storage. This necklace was $21.99 to keep. 

This was one of my biggest bags yet from Nadine West. I am always so excited to see what comes in each bag, and the fact that I don’t have to put any thought into shopping is so appealing to me. Pidoli Baby

I’m so excited to share with you guys some more awesome products from Pidoli Baby! I’ve worked with them a few times in the past and have always been a big fan of the products, so I’m sure these ones will be the same. If you’d like to see my other reviews of Pidoli baby products, visit here.

In the past I’ve been able to show you some of the adorable baby mocc’s that Pidoli has and some of their fleece baby slippers. This time I was able to review 2 more pairs of their baby moccs and a bandana bib set. 

The first pair I received was this light pink pair, so cute for any baby girl. These are just one of their standard fringed moccs. They have an elastic band that helps with putting them on the foot easily and so that it’s not too tight or restricting on the foot. 

One of the things that I loved about these versus the other one’s that I’ve reviewed in the past is that they have hard rubber soles. The ones in the past that I’ve gotten are just the same leather as the entire mocc is made out of on the bottom. These are perfect for those toddlers that are starting to move around and walk. 

With all of the Pidoli moccasin's that I've gotten up until now, they all come with these adorable canvas bags. These are so perfect for storage, I like throwing all of the moccs I have in one of those canvas cube bins and I know they're not going to get ruined or anything in these bags.

I also really liked that there was a cardboard piece around the fringe of the mocc. Some of the other moccasins that I've gotten have not had this and sometimes after sitting in the shipping box or the plastic bag they come in, the fringe gets a little bent and misshapen.

The second pair that I received are these hot pink bow moccs. I was really excited to get these, the bow adds such a cute and extra girly touch to them. Just like the first pair that I received, these ones are also fringed. 

These bow moccasins also comes with the rubberized soles, which seriously I love so much. Even if you don’t have a toddler walking around just yet, these are great to give a little bit more support on the bottom of the foot. 

The bow on top of the shoe is so adorable too, perfect extra girly touch in addition to the hot pink color.

I thought it was a little strange that out of all the Pidoli moccasins that I've gotten, the bow pair is the only one that I didn't get a canvas bag with. I still like the moccasins regardless of this and the Pidoli brand but just thought it was weird these ones didn't have it included.

The final thing that I received were these adorable bandana bibs. I was so happy to get these, because everything from Pidoli that I’ve reviewed in the past has been some form of shoe product. So I was glad to see that they do have other baby items also. 

One of the things that I really loved about these bibs was the price for how many you get in the pack. This is an 8-pack of bibs, for under $16. Most of the bandana bibs that I see are way more than this, so I thought this was a steal! 

Another thing that I really liked about the bandana bibs was the patterns. I love fox pattern and decor for babies, so I love that some of that was included in this set. But I really thought it was great that it wasn’t overly gender specific, so these would be cute on a baby girl or boy. 

The back of the bibs have a few different snap closures too to make it a little tighter or looser on the neck. This is so nice for growing babies, because you can adjust so easily. The back lining of the bib is also a super soft fleece like material, which I also really loved.

Sleep Doctor Luminere Glasses

I’ve really been into learning more about the blue light blocking lenses and things that can help with some of the minor headaches I get throughout the work week. I work 40 hours a week on the computer for my day job, on top of the few hours a week that I spend blogging on a computer and some screen time watching tv at bed time. When I had the opportunity to work with the Sleep Doctor and review the Luminere Glasses, I was quick to agree and check them out!

One of the things that really intrigued me about working with Sleep Doctor on these specific blue light blocking lenses is that they were created by Dr. Michael Breus, a clinical psychologist that specializes in sleep medicine and is on the Board of Sleep Medicine and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. If his name sounds familiar to you at all its because he has numerous published works and has appeared on the Dr Oz show fairly regularly. 

One of the things that I liked about the Luminere glasses off the bat was that it is a 2-pack. But more so from that, the glasses aren’t the same, they are specialized to work at different times of day. 

Each pair also came with a nice hard leather protective case. The glasses fit really nicely in the case and are a nice compact size perfect for throwing in your car glove box, or ladies fits great in your purse. It has a nice button snap too so you don’t feel like they’re going to drop out of the case at all and break or get scratched. 

The orange pair of glasses is best used at night time or when having a lot of screen time. They tone down and cut out the amount of blue light from your devices, computer screens, televisions, etc that you’re seeing. Helping your eyes be less strained and get overall better sleep at night. 

I will say the one thing about the orange pair of glasses that I don’t particularly like is that being orange, they do tint everything with an orange hue and it drives me a little bit batty. I would prefer them much better if they were a clear blue light blocking lens, or even if they didn’t tint everything in a different color. 

The second pair that comes in the Luminere set is the black lens pair, which is essentially a pair of sunglasses. These are great for outdoor use to help block some of the natural sun light rays and protect your eyes. 

One of the things that I really liked about both pair of glasses was that they were so super comfortable. The plastic frame was really nice behind the ears and the bridge of the nose. I also really liked the style of the sunglasses and felt they sort of resembled the look of the Wayfarer Ray Bans, which I personally am a fan of. 

Overall, I did really like the Sleep Doctor Luminere Glasses. I think the only major downside to these was the price point, they are quite pricey at just under $100 for the 2-pack. So if you’re looking for something a little more inexpensive then this set probably isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for something high quality, that will help get you better sleep at night and great eye protection then definitely check these out.

Nadine West Review

Guys! I am so excited to have worked with Nadine West again. I got so many cute summer pieces, I can't wait to show you! As always with Nadine West, you ONLY pay for what you keep. You can always update your style profile as well at any time if you get items that aren't your jam.

In this month's Nadine West shipment, I got 11 different items. One of the things that I love about this subscription styling service is that it always comes with so many items. I feel like some subscription services,  you only get a few items, sometimes you hate all of them, and you have to pay just to get styled for items you hate. That is definitely not the case with Nadine West.

There were so so many cute things in this package, I loved almost everything that I got. The first thing that I got was this super fun red and white polka dot dress. I loved the cross body ruffle, and the criss cross. I wore it with a white tank underneath for work, but it looked nice without the tank underneath also. It was a little short also, so I wore just some solid black leggings underneath the dress. 

The next thing I got were these dangle earrings. I’m not totally sure that they’re 100% my style, but I do really love the pattern. I love the mixed stone look to them. I just think the dangle might be a little long for my personal preference. 

The next thing I got was this black and white striped tank. I wasn’t convinced that I was going to like this all the way when I first opened my Nadine West bag, but after trying it on my opinion changed. I was worried because I’m not the biggest stripes person and especially with the mix-matched stripes. I did really love the knot at the bottom though. This tank looked super cute with a pair of jean shorts! 

This next thing was definitely my least favorite thing that I’ve gotten so far and in this month’s bag. The scarf is very beautiful in it’s own way, but it is so far off from my personal style. It kind of reminds me of something my grandma would’ve worn on her head/hair to keep the rain from ruining it. lol. 

This next tank was a favorite of mine. I love the lace detailing and the criss cross tie across the chest. My only complaint about this shirt was that it was slightly a bit shorter than I prefer in the front and rode up a bit when I’d raise my arms. But this is such a perfect tank for summer! 

I think I’ve mentioned this before or in my last Nadine West review, but I am not really the biggest bracelet person. I just forget to wear them for one and sometimes working on a computer and typing all day it starts to rub and wear into my wrist. I did really love this one though, the beads didn’t wear into my wrist at all and I absolutely loved that it was a magnetic clasp. I think that’s probably another reason I don’t really care for bracelets is that they are always so hard to put on and take off by yourself. LOVE this one though. 

Okay so this tank was another one that I wasn’t so sure about when I first pulled it out of the bag. I loved the color, but I’m not the biggest fan of ‘’turtle neck’’ style shirts. Once I put this on though, I loved it. This is probably going to be one of my new favorite work shirts, I paired it with a plain black pencil skirt and it looked super cute.

The color of these shorts, isn’t something I’d normally pick out for myself, but I actually really liked them. They’re so comfy and I really loved the lace/crotchet pattern of them. These paired really nicely with a white tank top and a jean jacket. 

When it comes to necklaces, I really like simple, nothing too fancy or big. This necklace was kind of the perfect balance of that. It was very simple, not too much bling too it and it was a good size pendant. 

When I opened my Nadine West bag, this was one of my favorite items right off the bat. I love this style of button up shirt and the rolled sleeves. The white background with the small green design all over it was the perfect pop of color in combination with the gold buttons. I paired this for work with a pair of black dress slacks and tucked in just the front and left the back of the shirt hanging out. I got a lot of compliments on this one. 

The final thing that I got was this really pretty rose dress, I think this was my favorite out of everything that I got in this month’s Nadine West bag. The bottom of the dress was super flowy and I loved the way it spun when I twirled around. The style of dress with the low criss cross bust isn’t something that I would’ve picked out for myself because I don’t really like showing too much clevage, but this didn’t make me feel like that at all. 

After I got this bag I edited my style profile to remove scarves off from it to see if that helped with my selection a little better. The scarf that I received last month and this month were not really my style at all. I prefer more of the bigger chunky winter/fall scarves. So maybe when the colder weather rolls around again I’ll edit it back in, but for now I took them out.

Trinova Window Shield

I've worked with Trinova in the past, and got to review one of their pet odor eliminator sprays and loved it. You can read that review here. But when I got the opportunity to work them again, I was right on it.

Trinova has a wide variety of different all-purpose products, great for literally anything you can think of, your car, pets, appliances and more. This time I was able to check out their car sun shade.

One of the things I noticed and really liked about the Trinova sun shade is how compact it folds up. It has a storage bag that it can fold into and is great to be stored in your car. I am keeping mine in the pocked on the back of my drivers seat.

Another thing that I really love about all of Trinova's products so far, not just the car sun shade, is that they are all extremely affordable. The car sun shade is only $12. Looking through their site at their other products too, most of them seem to be under $25.

It's been really cloudy and rainy here in Grand Rapids, the last few weeks so I haven't had many good chances to use the sun shade yet. But the days that I have and that the sun has come out a little bit towards the end of the day, it really has helped block some of the sunlight out from making my car so unbearably hot.

My only minor complaint is that it was a little difficult folding them back into the circle to get back into the sleeve. I definitely would still purchase this as a gift for someone in the future, or again for myself even. The car sun shade would be great especially for the guy in your life, to put together with some of their other car products as a car gift set.

Just Add Milk

Griddly Games focuses on providing fun games and toys for kids that show off their love for STEAM. They keep their products striking spark of curiosity to the people that play them and they are always working to bring new innovated and engaging games to bring the entire family together.

My sister is a preschool teacher and is always looking for anything to help her 4 year olds learn and especially that has anything STEAM related. For those of you that aren't familiar with what STEAM is, it is an acronym that stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. So anytime you see a toy or game that mentions STEAM, it usually involves one or more of these elements, which is great for kids learning and exploration.

When I came across the opportunity to work with Griddly Games and review their Just Add Milk kit I was all about that, and so excited to share it with my sister and have her also give me some thoughts on it, being a preschool teacher.

We were a little disappointed when we opened our Just Add Milk product, because one of the dye's had leaked out all over everything in the carton.

It wouldn't have been so disappointing if it had just gotten on the instruction manual and the other bottles, but it ruined some of the paper that was provided in the experiment as well.

Just Add Milk, comes with a variety of different experiments to be tried out, which we thought was really neat. We did try out one of them, which was really cool to see the milk and dish soap react with each other.

We also thought it was really nice that the instructions were inclusive and provided in various languages as well. My sister works with a lot of Spanish speaking families, so she liked seeing that the instructions were something that they would be able to read and do with their kiddos too.

Overall, I think our experience with the Just Add Milk, could've been a little better had the food coloring not leaked all over the other things in the packaging. But it definitely is a fun idea and thing to do with the kids on a rainy summer day. We would definitely recommend adult supervision with this one though, as it was a bit messy.

Almay Lip Color with Crowdtap

Almay is a brand that I’ve always been familiar with and have seen on store shelves from the time I started getting into make up in late middle school. When I first started using makeup, I had a few bad skin breakouts and allergic reactions to some of the formula’s and one of the hypoallergenic brands that my doctor suggested to me was Almay. So when I had the opportunity to review one of their products with Crowdtap, I was thrilled to see how it was and if it was still as good as I remembered their products being.

When I applied for the opportunity to review one of the Almay Lip Vibes lipstick, I had no idea if I’d be selected or what color I’d get. I was excited to see that when I got the product in the mail I was given the ‘’Treat Yourself’’ red lipstick. 

One of the first things that I loved about the Almay Lip Vibes lipstick was the product packaging. All of the lipsticks in this line have a tropical vibe to the packaging, this one has a lot of green tropical leafy pattern with some pops of red mixed in. Which is so fitting for the ‘’pop’’ of red that this lipstick gives your look. 

Another one of the things that I really liked about the lipstick was how easy it was to apply. The lipstick glided on very easily and didn’t get caked up or dried out as it was being applied. 

One of my fears always with red lipstick is that it’s going to transfer easily onto the skin around my lips or onto my teeth. Ladies, you all know this is a bad nightmare if this happens because it’s usually a pain in the ass to get it removed once it does happen. But once this Almay lipstick was applied it didn’t transfer onto the skin at all or my teeth, which I was so thrilled about. 

My go to lipsticks lately have been matte or long lasting liquid lips that don’t transfer at all, mostly because I don’t like having to reapply multiple times throughout the day or night. I did have to reapply this when I wore it out for the night, but didn’t feel as if I had to reapply it as often as I normally do with other lipsticks. So that was a huge plus for me also. 

Overall, I was really impressed with a number of specs of the Almay Lip Vibes lipstick. I thought that there was a great variety of shades available also and can’t wait to try out some of the other shade options. I thought this lipstick was also very reasonably priced and right in line with other brands at under $8.

Bedsure Pet Bed

Pet Sure reached out to me recently, to see if Toby and I wanted to try out one of their pet beds. I was pretty excited, because it's definitely time for a new puppy bed for Toby and especially since they're a newer extension of the Bed sure company, I was excited to see how their product was. 

I received product in exchange for my honest review and opinion, regardless of this all opinions are my own.

I was really shocked when we got the bed, it was air sealed tight and rolled pretty small. Once the air released from the bag it was actually a pretty large sized bed, at least for a Toby-sized dog it was quite large. The bed fits dogs and cats up to 30lbs.

The quality of the Petsure bed was actually really nice. It is made out of a high quality Oxford fabric. This is great for puppies that like to chew, because the fabric is harder to chew through. The fabric is also really nice because it cleans and spot dries really easily, and can be unzipped and thrown in the wash too.

The pillow pad in the bottom of the PetSure dog bed is reversible as well. For now I kept it on the patterned side facing upwards. I liked the contrast between the pattern and the plain background of the dog bed walls.

Toby really seems to enjoy it though. Most of the time we have it on the floor right under our tv, because it is rather large and our living room is fairly small.

Occasionally though, especially during the day when Curtis and I are both at work, we move it onto the couch for Toby with blankets in it. He isn't spoiled at all!! LOL

Evo Hemp Review

Evo Hemp recently reached out to me to see if I was interested in sampling some of their products. I was very much interested, I've been seeing and hearing a lot about hemp, cbd, etc products and wanted to see what it was all about.

I received products in exchange for my honest review and feedback, regardless of this, all opinions are my own.

When I got the package in the mail from Evo Hemp, I was surprised they sent me I think every flavor of their bars available. I only have a small portion of what was sent to me pictured above. I was so thankful for how much they sent also, so that I could provide you guys with the best and most accurate review possible.

I think two of the flavors that I was most excited to try were definitely some of the ''sweet'' ones, the Cookie Dough and Brownie Chip. Some of the other flavors I got though included Apple Pecan, Cashew Cacao, and Cherry Walnut.

One of the things that really drew me into agreeing to work with and review the Evo Hemp products, was how clean their ingredients are in the bars. Especially for someone like me that has a variety of food allergies, looking over the ingredients some of them are actually ones that I can eat with no interference with my allergies.

Some of the numbers on the nutritional facts were a bit higher than I prefer them to be, such as the sodium. But overall if you're using these every once in a while or as a meal replacement, then this is nothing to be alarmed of.

The brownie chip bar was pretty solid, definitely wasn't hard to crunch into and it broke apart easily. I liked that on the inside of the bar, you can see some of those ingredients right in it and that it adds a little bit of a different texture to the bar.

One of the things that wasn't my favorite, was that the protein bar seemed to be a bit dry, and made me thirsty. I think a lot of that had to do with the ''nutty'' ingredients in it.

Overall, I really did like the protein bars and am loving so far incorporating them into my daily routine. I’ve mostly been taking them to eat as a grab-n-go breakfast bar, but they also work great if I don’t have time to get a lunch break in.

Mind Glowing Photo Clips

When I got the opportunity to work with Mind Glowing to review their photo clips, I was really excited. I have had photo clips like these in the past but they are usually extremely chintzy and don’t last very long before breaking or burning out.

One of the features of the Mind Glowing photo clips that really appealed to me and differed from other ones that I’ve seen is that they have a remote control. Any of the ones I’ve seen in the past are switch operated, so in order to turn on the lights you have to physically go flip the switch that is generally on the battery box itself.

I also really liked the variety of settings that it has. Again with previous photo clips, it generally only has the one setting of on and off. I loved that this one has where you can change to multiple different settings. 

The photo clips open really easily as well and were the perfect size. Some of the photo clips I’ve seen in the past and gotten are really stiff and hard to open the clip, which is generally how they break because I can’t get them to open up. 

The lighting on the Mind Glowing photo clips was also perfect. It has an option on the remote to be able to make the lights brighter or dim them, which I really liked having that option. I had a hard time picking where I wanted to hang the lights, but ultimately decided for now to hang them in the empty space above Curtis and my bed. I’ve been looking for something to occupy the empty space and these were perfect. 

The photo clips add a little bit of a fun flair to the room and also has some personal, fun memories, and special things to remember each night before bed.

I definitely would purchase these again in the future, whether its for myself or for a gift. The photo clips are very inexpensive at only $12.95, which is totally right up my alley and in my budget. Riwbox Headphones

Riwbox is a headphone brand that puts all their focus into the design and production of their products in order to bring you high quality fashionable headphones.

I’ve always used earbuds when listening to music, but after awhile they start to put a lot of pressure in my ears and hurt. When I got the opportunity to work with Riwbox and review their Lightweight Bluetooth Wireless headphones, I was excited to see how different they’d be. 

One thing that I really liked about these headphones, was that it came in a variety of fun colors. I think my favorite one (out of the ones I got) was the black and gold. It just looks so sleek and simple, which I love. But I also really liked the mint green and purple, two of my favorite colors. Not picture is the silver/white headphones, I did not get those ones. 

Another feature that I really liked was that they are folding headphones. They fold up pretty compactly, which is great for traveling. I can just fold these up, and throw them in my backpack, purse, luggage, etc and not worry about them taking up a lot of space. This has always been a huge appeal of the earbuds for me, space savers when traveling. 

All of the control buttons are on the side of the ear piece, which is also a great feature. Not only can you control your music start/stop and volume control, you can also answer and end phone calls with these headphones. There is a USB input for these to be charged back up again. 

The inside of the headphones are labeled just like earbuds are, so you know which side is intended for which. The ear pads are noise isolating, to help block out any outside noises and allow you to have the best quality listening possible. 

I love how plush, soft and cushiony the Riwbox headphones are too. They didn’t really have any pressure points on my ears and were super comfortable to wear. They are also extremely lightweight and not heavy to wear at all. 

I definitely would purchase the Riwbox brand and these headphones again in the future. They would make a great gift for someone for birthdays or christmas. They are relatively inexpensive for this style in comparison also, at under $30.
