This might be a weird time to say it, but I can't wait to tell my dad about the wedding. He's gonna be so excited. I mean, as excited as a hologram can get, I guess.

I’m just in love with how Superman & Lois set up Clark and Lois’s first meeting. It’s absolutely perfect for both characters and it expertly captures what they see in each other and why they work.
Clark starts working at the Daily Planet, and Perry just sort of dumps him on Lois to show him around. After just a few minutes, she starts going off about how even though Superman is doing good and is definitely needed, he’s also taking attention away from other issues that can’t be solved by brute strength. And she shows him the story she’s been covering of minority owned businesses being targeted by neo-Nazis.
And like. It’s Lois. You just know she’s given this little lecture to multiple, trying to get them to listen, and it seems pretty clear that very few people care. They’re more caught up in having this brand new hero. You can even hear the resignation as she explains it, because she’s accepted she just has to try and power through this on her own while everyone’s attention is elsewhere.
But then this man she has literally just met minutes ago, who seems to be the biggest dork in the universe and can barely keep from tripping over his own feet, doesn’t shut her down and doesn’t shrug her off. He just listens to her sincerely. And then asks, “How can I help?”
And you can actually see that beat on Lois’s face as she smiles. That moment of oh… I like this one.

In just this short exchange, we’ve established so many important things about these characters and their relationship. Clark meets Lois as someone deeply passionate and committed to using her skills to help others, even if it’s hard, even if it’s something others might overlook. And Lois meets Clark as someone who’s willing to listen, and whose first reaction to hearing that people are in trouble is asking what he can do to help. We even establish that Lois isn’t afraid to challenge anyone, including Superman, if she thinks they’re wrong, which will be very important for their future relationship.
In most adaptations, Lois falls for Superman first. But in this version, she falls for Clark. That subtle shift is so important, I think. Clark doesn’t have to be this all-powerful alien hero to impress her or win her affection. He just has to be himself – a regular, dorky guy who cares and wants to help.

Just saw first part announcements. Honestly not sure how I feel about any of them. With how long he said Lois and Clark show has left it sure seems like he wants that done by time of movie. Also I know he says it’s not pricing story but that’s literally how the description sounds. Also not right to me to keep all the other DCEU folks and get rid of a Henry. They all need to go and all be new folks.
I'm hoping that 'Superman and Lois' gets to 5 seasons - the final season can air in the first half of 2025 just before the movie comes out (assuming the movie stays with the July 2025 release date, personally I think it's a tight deadline).
I'm keeping an open mind about James Gunn's new DCU slate, but I'm pretty underwhelmed. The only movie I'm really interested in right now is the Superman one (I'll still see it no matter what), but it's not exciting me much just yet.
I really like what Gail Simone said about romance being key to Superman, and I hope that the next movie showcases the Lois/Clark romance in a big way.

I am the one who asked about the animated Smallville and honestly I don’t want it. Whenever I check to see what’s going on I honestly hope to hear not happening. I love show show ended and even though it’s controversial with some loved the cameo they did. Think I saw Al and Miles said they feel Smallville story over even though they liked the animated idea. I have never watched Superman and Lois show but do feel it’s that shows time now and of course whatever James does fully with Movie.
My feelings about the possible animated Smallville project are very 'meh'. I am not one to actively wish for projects to fail because there are real people behind them, who work hard. I'd be happy for Tom and Michael if the animated series did eventuate, but I don't think it will.

When James announces at least some of what he has coming for DC tomorrow from what many are saying do you think he’ll announce anything to do with his newer version of Superman. From some things I have seen it doesn’t seem he has a lot done that would be any new Info that he hasn’t already given us granted things could have changed and he have more. Whose a young actor that you would think would fit the role and who do you think could be a good Lois since we know we will have one?
Yes, I think the Superman movie will absolutely be part of the announcement.
I'm not really someone who thinks about or enjoys fan casting, so I cannot answer the second part of your ask, sorry.

I know James and Michael are friends so do you think he’d pick up the animated series? I wonder how long it will be before it happens since they still have to pitch it from what Michael said. Hope they leave Clois alone with romance drama and just have typical hero drama. Why do we need Lana back since they are doing original over s11 comic books. No offense to Kristin.
I personally hold little to no interest in a 'Smallville' animated series. With 'Superman and Lois' currently airing, promise of an upcoming Superman movie... I am just not sure what a 'Smallville' animated series can bring to the table that hasn't already been done? We are now looking at Clark's Metropolis years, which has been well chronicled in many mediums. Not to mention that I believe Al Gough and Miles Millar are/were supposed to be involved, but they're still busy with 'Wednesday' since it's been renewed for a season 2. I think the 'Smallville' animated series project has likely stalled at this point.
