I don’t understand why people keep calling Belinda a housewife when she’s a single working mom. She still works as a nurse she just does night shifts, so her parents look after Poppy at night I. think this all boils down to 1) the short episode count rushes everything along without proper pacing and breathing 2) Belinda’s whole thing up until the finale was she just didn’t want to travel in the TARDIS, even after slowly bonding with 15 she just wanted to go back to her life and parents. 3) I think a lot of fans thought Belinda was way too accepting of having a daughter that was the result of an alternative reality 4) The Companion helps the Doctor save the day but in this Ruby was the one who helped Belinda bring down the Wish World while Belinda opted to look after Poppy.

In short a lot of this could’ve been avoided if the show has a real episode count and that the BBC had negotiated a better coproduction deal with Disney+

Yeah I agree, I don’t think the intent of Belinda’s story was misogyny, just poor writing of her character and the series as a whole. The ending was rushed and fast paced leaving you feeling like what the hell happened.
