First time I watched Twin Peaks it was my sophomore year of high school on a total whim. It was surreal, weird, and frankly made no sense a lot of the time, but I couldn’t help but love it. The strangeness of Twin Peaks is beautiful, just as its beauty is often strange, and I found this to be very endearing.
Since then I’ve revisited Twin Peaks many times. It’s a series I hold very close, and was a major influence on the way I view the world today in all its weirdness.
Thanks David, I’ll be sure to think of you next time I have a slice of cherry pie, a jelly donut, or a cup of coffee, black as midnight on a moonless night.
