I was at a Babymetal-concert in Hamburg

and the girls felt more tired than last time I saw them, especially Su-Metal. Here voice couldn't handle Megitsune at all, but also there wasn't that spark in her performance, it was almost mechanical. I worry they don't get enough rest.

One of the funniest comments I've seen today is calling France boring and uncreative for "always sending the same song" (aka ballads like Maman) while praising Sweden for doing something new this year when Sweden is the poster child of "sending the same song". Like sure, KAJ is a refreshing act from Sweden but majority of their acts were attractive male singers performing a polished pop song in English because they know they're doing well with them.

Meanwhile, France at least did alternate between man, woman and duo/group acts. And sure, ballads line Voilà and Mon Amour did great but France isn't just sending that kind of songs. Roi isn't a ballad, Mercy isn't a ballad, J'ai Cherché isn't a ballad, Requiem isn't a ballad. And man, Fulenn, Moustache and Allez Ola Olé are the furthest from ballads. So the whole "France only sends (boring) ballads" take is just wrong.

What makes KAJ's victory even funnier is that KAJ wrote a whole musical about a protagonist wishing to make it big in Sweden and now suddenly they made it and are representing Sweden in Eurovision.
