i learned about nico not ever having gotten a podium very early on when i got into f1. since then, every race he gets close i’m rooting for him to get a little closer, and to finally get that podium. today he got that podium and i am in tears seeing him in the cooldown room and being able to celebrate on the podium.

First word means 'Sar', second word means 'director'. In cnets they call drivers who always crash and cause safety car "x导", which means "director (name)". Calling them directors cos those crashes&sc always change the race and have big impacts..whenever the race gets boring, there'll be people wishing "oh those directors should do something", implies wishing crash btw

The FIA have approved plans that would upgrade Kyalami Circuit from Grade 2 to Grade 1

The proposed and now approved plans will keep the circuit layout the same but improve run off, safety barriers etc.

This could mean that F1 may return to Kyalami (South Africa) in the not so distant future

different from my usual content on here , but i recently got into the show motorheads and felt the need to repost . using AI to write for you is genuinely so wild to me and we really need to get rid of AI in creative spaces . this is so sad to see :(

hello all! you are likely coming to my account as a result of me bringing awareness to the use of AI in the motorheads fandom. i’m not really sure how to type this or make this post, however, the use of AI in fandom spaces—whether that be drawn art, written art, or anything else—is harmful to the artists, and quite frankly not okay. i understand creativity is hard to come by for some, but that makes the process more beautiful. it’s so much better to have something come from you rather than relying on a machine.

with that, i’d also like to say how if you are not a fan of or find yourself not enjoying the process of writing, don’t use ai to get into fic spaces. it’s not okay to publish work that isn’t your own, and especially when it’s been created by AI. not only is AI harmful to the environment due to the incredibly large carbon footprint it generates, but it’s harmful to creative minds who want to make a living off their art.

yes, this was a case of AI found in a fanfiction, so why am i so upset about it and trying to spread the word so adamantly? because AI in fandom spaces like fanfiction means there’s also AI being used to write real books that are being actively published. that kind of thing will only become more prevalent and slowly take away jobs from real writers, real artists. rather than writers and artists being found and their incredible work being published and used in our world, it will be replaced with AI slop.

please, don’t use AI for writing fanfiction. i, and many others, would rather read a “bad” piece of writing that came from the heart, mind, and soul of a real person instead of some AI generated crap.

not only that, but own up to using AI in your writing. don’t just remove the line exposing you and delete the comments mentioning it. it’s sad, and there will always be a person (coughs, me) who will do their best to defend against AI use in writing and fandom spaces. it’s harmful. it’s not okay. just don’t do it!

so, to asendingtothestarsasone, who has now rebranded as "that-fan-girl" --please stop using AI to write your fanfiction. it’s not okay, it’s harmful to the environment and creatives, and it’s not your own real work. it doesn’t come from you.

i’m attaching a screenshot of the line (second line down from the top) that proves asendingtothestarsasone used AI in their recent work. you will not find this line on your own now, as they have since deleted it and the comments calling it out.

moral of the story? don’t resort to AI to doing your work.

i wasn’t the biggest danny ric fan but it still gets me every time i remember he knew he was getting sacked and that singapore was his last race even though nothing was confirmed and he sat in the paddock after the race until 1:46am before leaving for the last time . it just makes me tear up because you can tell he loved this sport so much and getting dropped the way he & logan & jack were dropped is so 🫠

ok so day 4 update , it's going better today ? and the guy mentoring me seems to have woken up on the right side of the bed today (finally) and was really nice this morning ? he told me that this is all just practice and of course i won't get it on the first few tries , and that he's been doing this for years and that's why he is so proficient at it . so !! looks like a much better day today , finally :)
