why do so many people ignore the entire process of labor when discussing abortion, unwanted pregnancies, and women’s right to bodily autonomy. labor is no trivial matter! it kills! it has killed! for the majority of human history it was the leading cause of death of women! to me there’s something about trivializing adoption by saying “just give [the child] up” and completely ignoring the tremendous amount of physical pain and irreversible bodily damage women go through giving birth that’s even more disgusting than not supporting abortion to begin with!

Women murdered by their husbands should not be referred to by their married name in death.

omg I didn’t even pay attention to the child part but yes so so true!!!! FICTIONAL men some of who may be written by women anyways.
literallyyy, even the bear wouldn’t choose men even if it meant certain death
I find it so *interesting* that men just *don't* get why women are choosing a bear over a man.
With a bear, I know what to expect and if I got out alive, people would believe me.
With a man, there are SEVERAL things that he could do me pre and post death (if he so chooses to kill me) and even in death, he would probably STILL assault my body. If I remained alive, I could be beat, kidnaped, raped, etc. A MILLION other possibilities.
With a bear? I could potentially remove myself safely away from the situation bc more often then not, bears mind their own business. Men, however, do not.

I kinda realized something today: People really see women who are abused, suffer domestic violence, as a type of weak. Like they’re just weak and haven’t put their foot down or don’t want better or like, don’t understand that they’re being abused?? It’s mostly that they look down upon them in a way.
Which is such bs. And maybe it’s obvious the world views it this way but I’ve just never had a perspective of anything other than sad and understanding so I never even thought of this possible tbh. Like isnt it so obvious?
it’s not that abused women don’t want to leave or are too ‘weak’ to leave — it is that they can’t because the current abuse now is ‘better’ than the escalated abuse and harm that may come from leaving. Not to mention, where will they go to leave? You can’t just ‘leave’ without knowing where you will go. Maybe one man is better than however many on the street.
Also Ik there are instances of women being emotionally manipulated into truly not recognizing abuse but I think those are comparatively fringe cases.

In a world of abortion bans and a deluge of news stories of men shooting women and their children when they try to leave relationships, stories like these send chills up my spine.
One argument is all it took for this man to remind this woman that she’s tied to him now forever, and he can use that tie any way he wants. He threw the pregnancy in her face because it gives him power over her.

"The original sin was matricide. The toppling of the matriarchies and the rape and murder of the mothers was, and still is, the greatest of all sins. No purging of our culture has occurred since the Inquisition no public accounting for the sins of the 'fathers.' A major contribution to the continuing hostility and alienation of males is their deep core of guilt. Men continue to be guilty of matricide. No amount of purification will take that blemish away."

The fact that people think Lolita is pro pedophilia but think Euphoria isn’t makes me really start to believe that media literacy being so low is a real problem.

I’m in love with this gif. The way the cat is tucked in and kneads the air. How they immediately reaches for the teddy bear. How it’s lodged into the cat lovingly. The way the cat holds it. The face. The face the cat makes squished up against the toy. The way the cat grips it. The cat looking back on the audience at the end. I could stare at this gif for an hour straight and still be enraptured by it. Fucking Cozy.gif
