↱ The Outsiders When You’re Homesick (fem! Reader) ↰
↱ Summary: You’ve been away from home for far too long and suffer the unfortunate consequences that come with that. ↰
↱ Characters that are present in this are Darry Curtis, Sodapop Curtis, Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade, Steve Randle, Dallas Winston, and Two-bit Matthews. ↰
↱ Author’s note: I do want to bring awareness to the fact that it’s normal for everyone of every age to feel homesick once they leave home even if it isn’t for a long time. Anyway, have a nice day/night!!💛💛↰
Darry Curtis:
You were sitting on the bed, debating on how you would tell Darry that you wanted to go back to your home. You remembered D/n and C/n. They were in your own home and were most likely missing you as well. You went over to feed them often and walk D/n while cleaning C/n’s litter box for her.
You thought about it and settled on asking your beloved to just come home with you to enjoy time in your own space with your own animals. You loved all the boys but you couldn’t really feel completely content knowing your animals were alone and without someone there with them.
You moved on the bed as you nervously played with your hands. You didn’t want to upset anyone and you hated confrontation just as much as you did the feeling of being homesick.
The door to your lover’s room opened and you looked up at Darry as he walked through the door. “Hey, baby.” You tried to make it seem as if you were fine and everything was fine. You would mention it while laying down with him so the two of you could sleep on it and he could give you a confirmed answer in the morning.
You didn’t want anyone to be mad/upset for something that you were naturally feeling. It was normal.
“Hey, R/n. What’s wrong?” Darry questioned as he sat down on the bed beside you.
“Oh, um… I wanted to talk about something with you.” Your hands were sweating and shaking all because you were talking about your feelings. It wasn’t like Darry had ever shamed you for your feelings or your made you feel less than.
You were just nervous. You looked at Darry with a small frown playing at your lips. “I want to go home,” you said with a frown appearing on your face. You prayed that you didn’t disappoint him by saying that but you also knew that Darry wouldn’t allow you to feel guilty for asking for things. You nervously rubbed your hands together.
Darry looked down at your hands and grabbed them before you could rub them until they started to sting unnaturally. “That’s fine. Why are you gettin’ so nervous over it?” Darry wrapped his arms around you and pulled you to him.
You pressed a kiss to his lips gently. It was so soft and gentle that he didn’t think you had truly done it for a good minute. “Thank you. I was so scared.” You whispered out as you let out a laugh. “Can we go tomorrow? I know you can’t stay for long because of the boys but I’d love it if you could spend a couple of days with me!” You let Darry hold your hands with a relieved smile on your face.
You wrapped your arms around his stomach and leaned against him. “I love you so much,” you said with a smile on your face.
“I love you too.” Darry murmured under his breath as something shattered from the living room. You both stood up and began running towards the bedroom door.
“Shit.”
Sodapop Curtis:
You were laughing along with him at the joke Steve had told. Steve had to leave though and soon, quietness overtook the room. Ponyboy and Johnny were out doing whatever those two did without anyone around. You never cared enough to always question them. The only time you did was when something bad happened and they were out of the house during the time it took place.
You looked at the couch with a sigh leaving you as you noticed the emotional build up that was happening. Your stomach flipped in an almost unnatural way as you began nervously playing with your hair. Soda took notice of your change in mood almost immediately as he wrapped an arm around you.
“What happened?” Soda asked quietly as he frowned.
“I don’t know,” you said with a sigh as you leaned closer into him, “I think what happened was it got quiet and I realized how long I’ve been away from home.” You pressed a kiss to Soda’s cheek.
Your coffee was sitting beside you and you grabbed it and took a sip. You had made it with the intention of staying up later into the night to study for an exam coming up.
Soda just nuzzled into you. “Wanna go back to your place? We can spend the night there.” He stood up and pulled you up with him.
“I don’t know. I don’t think my parents are home but you know they don’t like us being alone.” You crossed your arms over your chest but Soda simply shrugged.
“I’ll sneak in, baby.” He laughed as he snuck a kiss onto your lips. You only pulled away for a moment to breathe but when your breath came back, you pressed another kiss to his lips.
“Thank you. I thought you would be mad or upset that I wanted to go home.” Your voice was soft and gentle as you wrapped your arms around Soda’s neck. You let your body relax into his as you whispered your softest “thanks” to him.
Soda only rubbed your back gently as he nuzzled into your neck. You could only laugh, feeling slightly better about missing your home.
Ponyboy Curtis:
You laid against Ponyboy with him smoking. You knew he had slowed down a lot and you were grateful for that but it still made you curious. How much had he been smoking before you showed up?
You leaned forward to conserve warmth between the two of y’all as you stared at the wall. You wanted to go home, mostly because you had stayed for an entire week with Ponyboy. You didn’t want to tell him that though as you were scared that he would be upset with you.
You let yourself feel comforted by your lover though. His presence made you feel much better than before. You looked up at Pony and pressed a kiss to his cheek. You weren’t necessarily feeling homesickness. If anything, you wanted to stay with him at your house.
You curled in closer as he sighed. “Johnny’s parents kicked him out again. Man, I wish I could help.” Pony let out a sigh as he put his cigarette out and kissed the top of your head.
“I wish I could too. Do you think if I got him a job, he would be able to live on his own without them?” You asked as you thought about referring Johnny to your dad. He could get your friend a job especially with knowing his situation.
You sighed as Pony ran a hand through your hair. “Is something on your mind? You’ve been staring at the wall with a frown.” Pony gently rubbed your arm as you leaned against him with tears beginning to pool in your eyes.
“Not really. I just want to go home but I don’t wanna disappoint you.” You whispered out as you pressed your cheek against his chest which felt warmed due to his jacket.
“Why would that disappoint me, darlin’?” Pony watched as your body physically relaxed at his words. You simply smiled and pressed yourself tighter to him. You were grateful that he hadn’t gotten mad.
“I don’t know but I thought you would be like upset that I wanted to go home. If anything, you could always come with me. I know you like our tv.” You laughed as you sniffled slightly from the tearful moment you had a second prior to your words.
Pony only laughed in acknowledgment at your words.
Johnny Cade:
You would never complain to your boyfriend as he tried his best for you. He made sure you ate, drank water that day, and even allowed you to smoke some of his weed. Still, you wanted to go home as you missed your cat.
He was the sweetest cat you’d ever owned and you enjoyed spending time with him. Lately though, you had been spending much more time with Johnny without realizing and it was your own fault. Usually, you watched the time like a hawk, making sure that it wouldn’t get too late for you to walk home by yourself.
It was far too late at night for you to walk home and you didn’t want to endanger Johnny because of your selfish desires. So, without much thought, you pushed that feeling of homesickness down and tried to stop yourself from crying. The feeling of your throat tingling from wanting to cry along with the burn within your nose made you lock yourself in the bathroom with the excuse of feeling sick.
Johnny had wanted to come in to check on you but you had used the excuse that you didn’t want him to see you as a mess. Johnny respected your wishes of not wanting to be seen and you thanked him for it.
You finally thought that you looked respectable enough and opened the bathroom door, going out to greet your lover.
“Hey, baby.” You tried to kiss his lips before anything else and Johnny automatically pulled away from you.
“Whoa, I don’t wanna get sick.” He still threw an arm over your shoulder though. You pouted at him and pressed a kiss to his slender fingers that were hanging off of your shoulder.
“I’m not going to get you sick, Johnny.” You grabbed him and led him to the couch where you began explaining your situation. “I’m… homesick. I miss my cat and I didn’t realize how late it had gotten and how many days I’ve been away from him.” You whispered out softly as you genuinely thought about it.
“I think I get it. I’ve never been homesick before though. Maybe that’s just me but we can go back to your home and stay the night there.” Johnny murmured a solution into your ear as he pressed a kiss to your forehead. “Why did you lie to me about being sick?” Johnny suddenly asked as he tilted his head.
“I didn’t want to put you in danger by forcing you to walk me home.” You looked down at the floor of the house and Johnny nodded his head to acknowledge your words.
You pressed your lips against Johnny’s cheek, wrapping your arms around his neck. You pulled him down onto the couch with a sigh. “Why don’t we stay here for tonight and then go tomorrow? I would like for us to go out to eat soon anyways so we could do it tomorrow.” You rambled on as you stared at Johnny.
You would be fine with him.
Steve Randle:
You heard the shower running, feeling a pinch of that upsetting feeling building within your stomach. You didn’t want to bother Steve with your emotions as he couldn’t really handle his own so you kept those feelings to yourself.
You listened closely to the shower, knowing that when it turns off you need to dry your eyes and make sure you don’t look as if you were crying. You had no reason to be homesick. You were just in a new place with a man who couldn’t seem to stop yelling at Steve for even a moment.
It was upsetting and you were pretty sure that you were more so upset at the fact that Steve’s dad was being such a jerk. It made you miss your home.
You hadn’t even been at Steve’s house for long. Less than seven hours but you were going to ask him when he got out of the shower if you could go home with him. You wanted to grab him and put him into your pocket to make sure that you could protect him for the rest of his life.
You heard the shower turn off and wiped your eyes. You made yourself feel slightly better by telling yourself that he would willingly go home with you.
Steve wasn’t mean to you. He was usually very caring and sweet towards you.
You looked up as the bathroom door opened. Steve’s towel was wrapped around his waist as he shook his head. “Shit, it’s cold in here.” He was quick to find his room and you sat patiently on the couch for him.
You didn’t want him to feel rushed or anything so you leaned back on the couch. You listened for his dad, not hearing his drunk ass in his bedroom. That man had gotten damn near black out and it had caused him to get more aggressive.
Five minutes passed as if it was nothing and soon enough, your boyfriend was walking out of his room. “Hey, you look like you’re cryin’. What’s wrong?” He asked as he sat beside you on the couch.
“I don’t like it here,” you whispered out as looked over your shoulder to make sure his dad wasn’t there, “and I don’t like you being here. We’re going to save up and we’re going to get something together. I don’t know what but I hate you living here.” You finally took a deep breath, letting your breaths mellow out and become slower.
“Yeah, he can get violent when he drinks. That’s why I didn’t want you coming over here.” He was right. You were the one who wanted to see where he came from. Unfortunately, you didn’t want to stay any longer.
“I’m sorry. Come on. We’re going to my house and explaining the situation to my parents. They’ll let you stay with us.” You pressed a kiss on his cheek before standing up and pulling on him to follow you.
Dallas Winston:
You were tired of hearing the sound of the parties going on downstairs. If anything, you were close to just walking out yourself but you cared far too much for the man who seemed to genuinely enjoy the loud parties a little too much.
Still, you didn’t care a lot about the parties. They made you feel horrible. Alcohol and drugs made you feel messed up. You remember when you used to drink and you would wake up, feeling horrible. Even when you put a hand in with the drugs, they made that feeling worse so you knew from personal experience that the parties weren’t a good idea especially for Dallas.
It didn’t help that he was constantly partying which was where your feeling of homesickness began. You had left your home for multiple days on end, and you were starting to miss your bed. You were starting to miss your room which was why you were planning on telling Dally that you wanted to go home.
Still, you were scared that he was going to get defensive and try to start a fight with you over nothing.
The door to the room opened and Dally stumbled in. You let out a sigh and stood up, helping him to the bed. “Hey Dally? I wanna go home.” You nervously mumbled out.
Immediately, Dallas got off of the bed and looked at you. “If you wanna go home, I’m going to walk you home.” Dallas stared at you seriously, as if it was okay for him to walk back to Buck’s by himself at night.
“Dally, you’re drunk. You’re stumbling. Please lay down.” You huffed as you tried to get him back down on the bed. He refused and only when you begged him to sit down did he.
“I want to walk you home. Why do you want to go home?” He asked softly as he looked up at you.
“I just got a little homesick. Don’t worry about it, Dally.” Your words were soft as you tried to pull away from him but his grip stayed tight.
“I’m going with you.” Dallas stood up and held himself up. You let out a sigh before finally agreeing.
“Fine but you’re staying at my place tonight.” You huffed out and grabbed his hand, leading him towards the door.
Two-Bit Matthews:
You washed the dishes, feeling slightly upset at the fact that you hadn’t seen your family since you had stayed with Two-Bit. Finally, you turned the sink off and placed the last dish into the drainer. You knew his mom appreciated your help and you were glad to help her seeing as you planned on being with her son for a long while.
You stepped out of the kitchen and began looking around the house, knowing Two-Bit was most likely in front of the tv, drinking and watching Mickey Mouse.
You weren’t upset at that at all. You actually enjoyed his interests and seeing what he enjoyed but damn, did it irritate you that you hadn’t even talked to your family. That was mostly your fault but it still didn’t make you feel any less homesick about it.
You sat down on the floor beside him as he finished off his beer. Your nose wrinkled as you remembered how it tasted. It was watered down with a little bit of an aftertaste. You couldn’t describe it but it was somewhat okay. Still, you wouldn’t drink it if you had a choice in the matter.
“I wanna go home.” You didn’t make eye contact as you let your eyes drift to the tv with Mickey Mouse playing on it.
“I’m not holdin’ you hostage, baby.” Two-Bit responded and you immediately fed into his attitude.
“How do you know such big words? I thought your reading comprehension was still a little bad.” Your voice cracked from you trying not to laugh as Two-Bit looked at you with a playful glint in his eye.
“Oh, you’re bein’ a brat, huh?” He dug his fingers into your side gently and you laughed, pushing him away.
“Seriously, I do feel homesick though.” You frowned as you leaned against him once you let yourself settle down.
“I’ll take you home, baby. Don’t you worry that pretty little head about it.” He stood up and you followed him, letting him lead you to the kitchen.
You watched as he grabbed a beer and tried to hand a cold one to you. You shook your head quickly but made sure to thank him for the offer.
Finally, after he finished up with opening his beer, he began walking towards his front door where he would walk you home and hopefully stay the night.

Content warnings: reader is female and uses she/her pronouns, poly relationship,
Sodapop Curtis x Female! Reader x Steve Randle
Author’s note: I wasn’t going to write this because I’m monogamous and I’ve never been in a poly relationship before but I wanted to write something new and I feel this is a great opportunity to write outside of my comfort zone!! It means the world to me that you enjoy my writing too!!💛💛
As a side note, I do want constructive criticism and I also want to be aware if I’m not portraying something accurately!! I will also most likely rewrite this so it’ll be way longer. This was just me jotting my thoughts down and trying to figure out how the relationship would stand so I will probably make changes and all but yeah!! Anyways, have a great day or night!!💛💛
How you got together:
You placed the chocolate cake on the plate and set it on the table along with two beers. You had cooked steak, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and some fruit on the side. You also poured three cups of sweet tea, making sure everyone would be comfortable when you brought up the conversation you felt needed to be had.
The three of you acted as a couple anyways so why not make it official? You wanted it to be so that everyone would be on the same page together.
A knock on the door shocked you out of your thoughts. You were quick to open the door and smiled at the two men who were standing outside of your home. “Hey, I’ve gotten dinner cooked along with some beer and tea inside.” You smiled as you opened the door more for them to come in.
“Hey, baby.” Soda pressed a kiss to your lips and let his hand drift over your stomach. Steve was right behind him, kissing you and letting his hand rest on your hip. Yeah, you were pretty sure the three of you were already in a relationship with each other.
They were sitting at the table by the time you had walked back over to them. “I do want to talk to both of you about something important.” You sat down at the table and picked your fork up with a shaky hand.
“What is it?” Steve was eating the steak first which made you smile as you wanted him to eat more healthy. You couldn’t help but still feel the anxiety from before even though they both seemed okay with it.
“I wanted to make us official.” You stated with a small sigh falling from your lips. You watched as the men stopped eating and turned to face you. You bit back the embarrassment and looked between them.
Finally, Soda spoke up, “I’m fine with whatever y’all want.” He looked at you with a small smile playing at his lips.
You look towards Steve and he smiled at the two of you. “Okay, I’m glad y’all weren’t disgusted by the thought. I know we kiss and hug like we’re together but that could’ve been because y’all were jus’ clingy.” Steve seemed to have been holding that in for a while.
You stood up and threw your arms around Steve with a grin playing at your lips. Soda was giving you those adorable eyes that you were never able to say no to and you held your arm out for him. Soda immediately stood up and rushed over to the two of you, somehow managing to pick both you and Steve up. He made it to the couch with y’all before dropping y’all on it. You began laughing as Steve pressed a kiss to your collarbone.
You moved over and patted the spot next to you. “Y’all will eat that food cold if y’all don’t eat it now.” Soda sat down next to you and Steve with a sigh. He let his head rest on the wall and without much coaxing, fell asleep.
“We’ll eat it tomorrow, darlin’. He’s been working a real lot.” Steve leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to your temple. You made sure to press a gentle kiss to his lips, trying to keep the same feeling hanging around.
“Okay. Seriously though, I worked so hard on that.” You complained as you sat between the two. Steve just gave you a gentle pat on the head. You wiggled between the two and tried to escape the hold that Steve had on you while trying to move Soda’s legs off of your thighs.
You finally sighed as Steve grabbed you by your arm and kept you held still. You looked between them and smiled as you realized that you had gotten what you wanted. You had gotten the loves of your life together with you.
You pulled both of them closer and closed your eyes, slowly falling asleep.
Sleeping with them:
The three of you had slept together often but it was always a fight to lay with them for long periods of time. Soda loved to cuddle but Steve wanted the whole bed for himself.
You were usually stuck in the middle of them. It wasn’t a fight that you particularly disliked but you also didn’t want to constantly fight for the blanket. You nudged Soda over and he absentmindedly rolled to make extra space for you.
Steve on the other hand decided that he was going to snatch the blanket so you curled up to Soda’s back, wrapping your arms around his waist. It was such a comforting feeling to have both of them around but sometimes, you really wish you would’ve stayed single.
Soda turned over and wrapped his arms around you, keeping you close to him just in case you got cold. He only moved to grab Steve and pull him closer to the two of you so he could grab the blanket.
Steve turned around and cuddled up against your back. He pressed a lazy kiss to your neck. You smiled and pulled the blanket closer to you. Soda let out a sigh as he knew you were probably going to be petty about the situation in the morning. He just kissed both you and Steve on the forehead before rolling back over to his side of the bed, making sure that his arm was thrown over both you and Steve.
How y’all prevent jealousy within the relationship:
You leaned back on the couch as a random movie played on the tv. You ran your fingers through Steve’s greasy hair and he nuzzled into your thighs, littering open mouthed kisses over them.
Steve’s lips ended up going further up your thigh and you jumped, pushing him away for a split second. You began laughing quietly and kept him close to you.
Soon enough, Soda came home with a tired look on his face. He had been working all day. Soda plopped down beside his lovers and you kissed his cheek. “Do y’all wanna go shower?” Soda suddenly asked as he stood up. You and Steve looked at each other before Steve jumped off the couch.
“No, I was planning on taking one in the morning so I can wake myself up. Have a good shower y’all two.” You giggled as you leaned back on the couch and continued watching the movie.
You heard the shower turn on and you were grateful that you had decided not to shower with them. The two of them could probably take hours in the shower. You leaned forward as the movie took a twist that you genuinely hadn’t expected.
“Oh what?!?” You screeched as you watched the end of the movie show. You began silently cursing the tv as you shook your head.
Suddenly, you heard Steve laughing from the bathroom. Now, you were stuck with a feeling of jealousy as you realized you had nothing to do other than listen to them.
So, with the feeling of jealousy continuing to creep up on you, you made your way to the bathroom.
You poked your head into the bathroom before stepping inside and shutting the door behind you. You sat down on the toilet after making sure the lid was closed and pulled your feet to your chest. “So, how was y’all’s day?” You suddenly asked.
“Mine was fine, baby. What about y’all’s?” Soda spoke up as he poked his head out from behind the shower curtain.
“Mine was fine.” You smiled and waited for Steve to answer.
“My day was fine.” Steve responded to the two of you as you began taking your clothes off.
“I want to shower with y’all now. I got jealous.” You were always open with your lovers to prevent things from building up. Your lovers was almost immediate in their actions as you finished up with undressing.
You got in the shower with them and moved to lean against the wall, still wanting them to spend time together. You knew that you done what you deemed was right by actually speaking to them. The two of them continued showering while Soda made jokes and laughed.
He was the reason you and Steve met in the first place. He was the one who brought you three closer together. You suddenly surged forward and kissed Soda before passing to Steve and kissing him until your breath had been taken away from you. “I’m sorry. I want the two of you to spend time together. I don’t know why I got jealous.” You muttered out and Soda and Steve both wrapped their arms around you.
“We do spend time together. Hell, we have nights where we go out by ourselves. Darlin’, even if we didn’t, it’s normal to feel jealous.” Steve wasn’t one to be… well, you didn’t want to finish that thought but for him to put thought into comforting you really made you grateful that you asked them to be in a relationship together.
Soda’s hands began lathering soap into your hair and you leaned back to let him. Steve had began washing your body, taking care to not hit any sensitive areas. You loved the comfort of having them so close. They made you feel safe.
“I love y’all so much.” You suddenly muttered out as you felt the need to touch both of them. You were starting to feel needy.
“We love you, too.” Steve and Soda were quick to show you love. You watched as the two kissed each other and you smiled with a sense of home feeling you.

I was curious,
Could I get a Larry Johnson x Reader (could be plat or romantic) where Reader, after being shamed upon by Travis, feels insecure about herself (specifically stomach or arms?)
- yours truly, slash j.
Content warnings: bullying, reader is insecure, reader is a female, it’s mentioned that reader has a period, explicit language, it’s never specified whether reader and Larry are together or not so it’s up to you to decide, and characters may be ooc because I haven’t played Sally Face in a long time
Larry Johnson X Female! Reader - The Comfort of Having Someone
Summary: After being shamed by Travis, you try to ditch school without any of your friends noticing. Unfortunately, Larry knew what game you were trying to play and played it better than you did.
Author’s note: I was so excited to get this. This is my first ever request and I couldn’t be happier that it’s about Larry!:) I do want to apologize because it took me so long to write this. Just remember, your body is beautiful!!💛
“You should stop eating. If you don’t, people might start to think you’re eating for two.” Travis’s comment made you look down at your stomach. You slowly pushed the plate of food in front of you away.
Travis walked away from the table you were sitting at and you only noticed your friend group heading towards your table when Chug sat across from you. “Here. Do you want this?” You were already sliding your plate across the table towards the chubby boy and smiled at him as he gobbled the food down. Maple sat down beside him and everyone else filed in as they found their places at the table.
“Were you not hungry?” Ashley asked as she watched you closely. Something had been up with you for a while and she wanted to ask but didn’t want to hurt or offend you by mentioning the changes that had been happening.
“I ate before and I’m not hungry right now.” You softly replied with a smile on your face. You ignored the pain in your stomach as you swallowed your desire to eat. It would all be worth it once you lost that weight. It would all be worth it when everyone stopped making fun of you for your stomach, your arms, your thighs, your body in general.
You smile awkwardly at your friends as you wrapped your arms around your stomach. It was a subconscious movement but Ashley and Todd noticed it. Todd reached a hand out and gently placed it on your back.
Ashley reached out to move your hair from your eyes. You shook your head and the hair moved but Ashley still moved it for you as it had fallen almost immediately back into place. “You know, I think you should eat something else. Maybe like a bag of chips?” Ashley gently tried to coax you into eating something and you crossed your arms over your chest.
“I don’t think I should. I don’t want my stomach to hurt.” Tension began rising at the table as your hand gripped the edge of your hoodie. Todd kept his hand on your back and gently patted it as Larry and Sal stared at you.
You pulled away from the table and heard Todd’s hand hit something as you grabbed your bag from the floor. You just wanted to leave and not be bothered with any of it anymore.
You found yourself hiding in the girls bathroom and felt somewhat proud of yourself. You would only be able to deal with one person at a time and so only Ashley would come to find you. You had closed and locked yourself into the third stall and held your breath when the door to the bathroom opened.
“R/n?” That was Larry’s voice. You were curious as to how he even managed to sneak past the teachers that usually guarded the bathrooms during the lunch hour. You closed your eyes for a moment and held your breath. You didn’t think Larry would’ve come into the women’s bathroom but you also didn’t think he would go and steal that stop sign that was in front of the police station. Maybe you needed to stop having faith in Larry and his ability to make decisions.
Not that your decision making was any better. You helped him almost steal a car at one point in time. It was Lisa’s but in the end, he managed to ask for the keys instead of just grabbing them. You stayed silent and lifted your feet off the ground. Larry had been smoking earlier that morning so you knew there was a high change he would completely overlook you.
You kept quiet and waited for him to leave. He would once he realized you weren’t in the bathroom. You heard the bathroom door close and you let a breath out as you smiled to yourself. You were at least smart enough to keep yourself hidden in the stall.
When you finally decided to exit, you had made a mental note of the window that was in the bathroom. You could probably fit out of it and when you did get out of the school, you’d immediately go home to find your bed. You silently opened the stall and squeezed out, feeling excitement fill your body when you seen the bathroom empty.
You could just go home and do whatever you felt like without having the judgement of anyone else. You were tired of Travis and on top for Travis, you were tired of your friends. They judged you for whatever you did in response to the constant bullying.
Your bag was draped across your shoulder and felt heavy as you looked at the window above the sinks. You could climb up onto the porcelain sink and then go out the window. You lifted yourself up onto the sink and pushed the window open. You threw your bag out the window and followed after it, groaning when you hit the ground.
You hurried away from the school and frowned when you felt genuine sadness fill you. You usually weren’t very sensitive and made sure to keep your emotions hidden. It wasn’t everyday that someone could manage to upset you.
You found yourself blindly walking down the concrete road and you tried to hide your excitement behind your blank face. You knew that you would be home and there was no telling what you would do once you got into the house. You could sleep, drink, smoke, literally anything you wanted to and there wouldn’t be a single person there to judge you.
You knew that you would most likely fall asleep once you got home but it was fun to think
You felt the wind blow a little harder and frowned at the realization that the weather probably wasn’t going to stay sunny.
“R/n?” Larry was somehow behind you. You turned around and stared at him with a look of pure shock.
“What the fuck?” You questioned as he laughed quietly.
“Yeah, I know you and I knew you would be trying to leave the situation instead of facing it.” Larry looked like he was disappointed in you which was ironic coming from him.
“You don’t know that. How do you know I didn’t start my period or maybe I got sick?” You crossed your arms over your chest and looked at the road. Larry just stared at you with the look Lisa would give when she caught y’all smoking together.
“R/n, everyone has noticed it. You haven’t been eating even when it’s just us, you don’t eat. I think Sal got you to eat a pack of crackers Saturday night. What’s wrong?” Larry wasn’t one to get mushy and make something about his emotions but apparently he could get mushy when it came to you and your eating habits.
“I… don’t think it’s any of your business what is going on with me. You should focus on yourself.” You turned away from Larry and kept walking down the road. You didn’t mean to be rude but you also didn’t think it was any of Larry’s business.
You wrapped your arms around yourself and quickened your pace as you just wanted to take a nap. You didn’t want Larry or any of the rest of them to question you or make you feel worse than Travis did.
You caught sight of the apartments and it made you feel slight comfort. That meant that you would be able to just lay in the comfort of your own room without the worries of Travis or literally anyone bothering you. You were real big on the not being bothered.
You stepped into the apartment building and was quick to step into the elevator. You watched the light in the elevator flicker as it came to a stop on your floor. The doors opened and you made a run for it, knowing Larry probably went to go get your friends.
He would bring them to the apartments and then… well, you didn’t know what would happen then. You locked your front door and went to lay on the couch, your eyes immediately closing once your body was on the couch.
You felt someone shake you aggressively and you swung your hand out, hitting something. You opened your eyes completely and sat up, confused. Your mom didn’t get off until ten that night and there was no way you just smacked her.
Larry was standing in front of you with a grimace on his face. “Didn’t expect you to hit me but man, you need to talk to me. I can help.” You stared blankly at Larry, a feeling of irritation building. Why did he care so much? It wasn’t like he understood what you were going through.
“Larry, please leave. I’m not in the mood to argue with you.” You whispered out as you stood up from the couch. “How the hell did you even get in here?” You stared at Larry with confusion as he held up the key that you gave him when the two of you became close friends. “Oh.” You whispered out.
Larry wrapped his arms around you and not even a few moments later, you were sobbing. Your face was shoved into his shoulder as you made sure he wouldn’t be able to see your face. Larry moved the two of you to the couch and you curled up on his lap.
You knew there was a possibility that you would get a noise complaint from the neighbor and Larry would end up going over there in the heat of the moment to confront them like he always did. “I just can’t do it anymore. I’m tired.” You sobbed out into his shoulder as you wrapped your arms around his neck. You just wanted any form of comfort you could get even if it was physical touch.
“He is always making comments about my body and it’s been building up. God, I know I’m gross. I know I’m fat and my body looks disgusting but that doesn’t mean I need to constantly hear about how everyone finds me revolting.” You pulled away as Larry’s hand wrapped around your waist. His fingers had touched your stomach and you hated it.
“R/n, you’re not revolting. I’ve seen your stomach and your body in all it’s glory.” Larry made a small joke as he wrapped an arm around your waist. He wanted you to see yourself how he seen you. “I think you’re really pretty.” Larry softly spoke, hoping he wouldn’t scare you.
“I have stretch marks on my fucking body, Larry. Look at my body. Travis is right. He is handsome. He doesn’t have stretch marks and his arms don’t unnecessarily move when he does anything.” Your tears had stopped falling as you wrapped your arms around yourself.
“R/n… your body is normal. I have stretch marks from when I got taller. It just means your body grew which is normal, okay? And, your arms are normal too. Unless you constantly work on your arms, they’re going to be soft and move. It’s apart of being human.” Larry looked confused for a moment before he just nodded along with what he had said. You stared at him from across the room and the look on your face made him laugh.
“I’m sorry, but you look like you’re in disbelief.” Larry looked at you with the softest smile you’d ever seen before. Larry got off of the couch and wrapped his arms around you again. His chin was resting on your head and within a moment, you had forgotten about what Travis said.
You slapped Larry away and he looked at you with shock on his face. “Hey, who said all that shit to you, anyways?” You thought for a moment. If you told him the truth, he would try to fight Travis and you didn’t want that but if you didn’t tell him the truth, he would call you out on your bullshit.
“Travis but you can’t do anything to him! He don’t mean it.” You automatically latched onto Larry to prevent him from going to fight Travis. You knew if Larry didn’t fight Travis that day, he’d do it at school and get suspended or even expelled. He always was the impulsive one out of everyone.
“I knew that little fucker would start on you someday. I just didn’t think he’d leave Sal alone long enough to do it.” Larry grumbled as he sat down on your couch. You smiled nervously at him as you sat beside him.
“It doesn’t matter. Usually, I wouldn’t take it seriously but you know, I’ve heard it so much lately that I just feel like it’s true.” You shrugged your shoulders as you looked at Larry with a small smile. You wanted him to know that you could take it but it just built up. You wouldn’t have mentioned it any other time because you would be able to handle it then.
“Still, if I catch the little bitch making fun of you or your body again, I’ll fuck him up.” Larry made you laugh. Something about the situation was funny to you and you didn’t know what it was.
“Just leave him alone. It doesn’t matter.” You whispered out from beside Larry.
“It does though. You were just sobbing about how ugly you feel because of him and now, apparently you’re okay? I find that hard to believe.” Larry wasn’t a genius but he did know when something was up with you.
“Yeah. I think I’m okay now.” You commented as you moved to lay down on the couch. “This happens all the time. I’ll cry and feel terrible and then I feel better and it’s like, a cycle.” You murmured out as you closed your eyes.
“That’s… not normal.” Larry looked at you with a small frown before you gently kicked him in his stomach.
“I swear it doesn’t matter. It just hurt for a bit.” You whispered out quietly. You didn’t want to say anything else because if you did, Larry would make a good point.
“I don’t even know what to say anymore. I am telling Sal, though.” Larry looked at you with a small smile and that small smile made you feel internal panic.
“No, don’t tell Sal. He’s already got enough to worry about.” You pouted as you glared at Larry.
“Only if you let me punch Travis.” Larry commented as he began trying to fish something out of his pocket.
“Dude, no.” You sat up and crossed your arms. You were internally grateful that Larry was arguing with you as it calmed you. It made you feel so much better about the situation that had occurred.
Majority of the night was spent with the two of you bickering about what Larry would do to Travis the next day and cuddling. It was a relief that you didn’t have to think about what Travis said anymore. You knew Larry would fix the situation even if he had to do something you considered drastic. And with that, the two of you kept arguing even when you both thought you were done arguing.

Johnny Cade x Female! Reader - Sinners
Summary: You were stuck in a very religious household and were raised to believe that bad things would happen if you didn’t follow the rules set for you perfectly. When you meet Johnny Cade, an innocent boy who just wants what’s best for you, he shows you what affection and love is when given in a healthy dosage and not used in a detrimental way. When you finally open up to him about your family, Johnny decides he wants to get you out before something bad happens to you.
Author’s note: I’m so sorry that this took so long!! I’ve been experimenting and rewriting this to fix everything. I’ve also been going back and forth between multiple of my stories so I don’t burn myself out! I do genuinely wonder what churches and all were like back then. I know there was a LOT of cults back then which was what originally inspired this. I will be coming back to proofread this/fix any dialogue that doesn’t make much sense for Johnny. Also, please give constructive criticism!:)

You were on your knees, murmuring a quick prayer. You didn’t want to be outcasted or damned for missing even one prayer and that was something that was beat into you as a child. You kept your hands clasped tightly together as you heard snickering coming from behind you.
You ignored it, knowing it was those boys that had come in randomly during the sermon. You stopped yourself from thinking anything bad about the people laughing. God told you that it wasn’t your place to judge and you trusted him. You wouldn’t judge the boys no matter how many cruel words they spoke.
You felt the tears before they even started to try and fall. You had stood up from the altar and wiped the tears away quickly, hoping no one saw you. The fear of being seen crying wasn’t too strong as everyone already called you overly sensitive so it didn’t matter much if they saw you crying. You went to sit back beside your family, who were all smiling at you as if you had done some good deed by praying.
In your eyes, that was the least of your good deeds. Why didn’t any of the other times get noticed? It wasn’t like it mattered that they didn’t because you weren’t supposed to be praised for doing the bare minimum but it was still upsetting.
A woman sitting beside you smiled down at you and nodded with no actual reason. Well, you thought she was saying hello without speaking. That’s how the people in your class said hello without ever speaking. You found it entertaining but never acted how they did because it was unladylike in every way.
You smiled at the woman and looked back to the preacher who was getting louder by the second. You crossed your arms as you licked your dry lips.
You would do anything to get out of the church but God wouldn’t appreciate you hating his love the way you were. You closed your eyes and looked down towards the ground as you began rapidly praying. Begging for forgiveness that you knew wouldn’t come easily, you felt your heart release the heaviness of your sins. You wouldn’t tell a soul of your true sins. The ones that keep you up late into the night; the ones that make you miss the days you would smoke cigarettes to calm yourself.
You heard the sermon slowly come to an end and you stood up without much thought as you walked into the aisle. Your parents followed you as you walked out of the church without speaking to anyone. Your mom followed you as she let out a sigh. “Your father needs to speak with the pastor so he said we could head on home.” She smiled as she placed a hand on your shoulder. “I don’t know about you, but I’m starving!” She started leading you away from the church as you looked over your shoulder. A group of teenage boys had walked out of the building with one specifically watching you walk away.
Your eyes looked towards a random tree after making eye contact with the adorable boy. You thought he was handsome but you felt a certain disgust for feeling that. You were going to marry a man of your father’s choice. After all, he knew what men were like and would choose based on which man could provide for you and your future family.
Your mom pressed a kiss to your forehead as she held you tightly against her. “Do you want to start exercising more?” Your mom suddenly questioned aloud as she ran a hand through your hair. “I think we should go on more walks and get out of the house more. You’re homeschooled and have nothing else to do and I usually have our home cleaned with food on the table long before it’s needed.” She rambled on and on as you stopped.
Your house was in front of the two of you as you grabbed your mom’s hand from your shoulder and began leading her up the concrete pathway that paved the path you needed to take.
Your stomach growled angrily as you felt hunger pains spread throughout your stomach. When was the last time you ate? You couldn’t remember as you felt you still didn’t deserve to eat. You took a moment to look around your house. Your mom was trying to redecorate as much as possible for Easter. You were feeling disappointment that winter had almost ended and it was soon to be summer.
You enjoyed bundling up in the warmest of clothes while also having reason to light a fire in the fireplace. You felt your face flush as you looked in the mirror that was hung in the living room and noticed that the strap of your bra had slipped down your shoulder. Your mom watched as you pulled it up with a struggle.
“You know, you don’t have to panic when it’s just me. I have breasts, too.” You looked at her with the widest of eyes she’d or anyone had ever seen on you.
“Mom! It’s immodest to ever allow anyone to see anything that only a husband should see!” You snapped as you ran up to your room in fear of being seen as a… you couldn’t bring yourself to think the word.
You collapsed on your bed as sobs filled the empty space beside you. You were ashamed, hurt, sad. You couldn’t understand the emotions that flowed endlessly through your body.
You grabbed the comforter from the end of your bed and brought it up closer to you as you flipped and turned every which way to get comfortable. You grabbed the stuffed animal that laid beside you and hugged it close to you. You were tired and you didn’t want to be involved with anything else for that day. You had gone to church and you had prayed to God to get you out.
You closed your eyes as you slowly drifted off to sleep.
You grabbed the piece of toast off of your plate and licked your lips at the buttery taste. You were going to the library soon to find the second to the last book in a fantasy series that you had picked up.
You grabbed your purse and started to walk out of your house with a tired sigh leaving you. You wanted more sleep but you also wanted more time to yourself. Your dad had come home with another man. He told you the man was a pastor from a nearby church that wanted to talk about God with your family.
You walked down the broken sidewalk with a frown plastered on your family. You were nervous to be out in public without one of your parents with you as they told you a lot of bad people liked to prey on young girls such as yourself. It made you nervous to even look out the window some days with the things they told you.
You sped up as the wind blew a little harder against you. You were wearing a long dress that covered everything including your ankles while also covering your arms and shoulders. The dress was wildly blowing with the wind and for a good while, you thought you were going to fly away with the fallen leaves on the ground.
The buildings around you had gotten more abundant as you seen the library in the distance. You heard that same loud laughing that you heard whilst in the church which made you do a double take at the group of boys walking down the sidewalk.
Your eyes met with that of the boy who had puppy eyes. He was attractive but you forced yourself to look away from him as it was disgusting for you to feel attracted in any way to anyone until you were married. You crossed your arms and covered your breasts as you knew that your body was created to be distracting for men. You never wanted to tempt someone.
You happily pulled open the glass door to the library and walked in, feeling a sense of safety when you heard the door shut loudly behind you. You never enjoyed entering buildings. It was… terrifying for you.
You needed to find another book that would keep your thoughts solely on yourself and the characters. Your Bible had kept you pretty focused on living your life based on God but you couldn’t continue to read the same sentences over and over while pretending to completely understand the meaning.
Your eyes scanned the dozens of thick books that were laying with a layer of dust covering them. You grabbed one that had a slightly darker cover than the rest, reading the title before flipping the book over to read the back.
You heard the library door open and close loudly. You looked towards the noise and almost let out a gasp once you saw the boy with the puppy eyes. He was making eye contact with you.
You looked back down at the book that you were holding so tightly that your knuckles were white.
You watched as the boy approached you after a second, finally deciding to speak after a moment. “Uh… hey. I’m Johnny.” The boy finally sent you a shy little smile and you looked down.
“I’m R/n.” You stuck your hand out and the two of you shook hands. You were honestly shocked that he had even followed you into the library to talk to you. You felt your cheeks flush at the thought of him finding you so pretty that he wanted to talk to you.
“I saw you the other day at church and now you’re here…” Johnny’s voice sent something throughout you as he moved a hand to rub the back of his neck.
“Oh, well I appreciate you approaching me but I only date to marry. If that is why you approached me.” You lied through your teeth and it made you feel bad. You weren’t allowed to date. Your parents only wanted you to marry a nice man who would do whatever so long as it meant that you were out of their house by eighteen.
“Oh…?” Johnny sounded confused as he looked up at you. You were wearing your heels and were standing only a few inches taller than he was.
“I don’t mind! Really. I- can we just be friends?” Johnny felt his stomach continue to wrap itself in loops as he broke eye contact and began staring uncomfortably at the ground.
“Yes. I would like that.” You gripped the book in your hand as you began walking to the librarian’s desk. She took your book from your hand and before you knew it, the book was slid across the desk back to you.
Johnny continued walking with you even when his friends started calling him over. You looked at Johnny with the smallest of smiles, “you can go hang out with them, if you want. My parents are strict and wouldn’t appreciate me being around a boy without them.” Your words confused Johnny as he knew parents could be protective but why were yours wanting to be around for every little moment? You were almost an adult woman and you still heavily relied on your family which, don’t get Johnny wrong, wasn’t a bad thing but it also wasn’t healthy.
“Okay. When can I see you again?” Johnny wanted to ask you out on a date but knew you’d reject him given the opportunity which you had.
“Well, I do want to go shopping soon so if you want to come then?” You tilted your head to the left slightly, eyes staring back at Johnny’s with a certain glint in them.
“Yeah, that works.” Johnny murmured as he stared at you as if you had hung the stars in the sky.
“Well, meet me at the Summit tomorrow at twelve.” You smiled as Johnny nodded before he began walking back towards his friends.
You stared helplessly after him, feeling as if you were doing the wrong thing by allowing him to walk off like that.
You let out a sign and continued your adventure home.
“R/n? Are you done?” Your father peeked into your room to ask if you were done reading the Bible. You felt that you were as you had memorized almost every verse you were given. It was mind boggling how you could remember such complex things but forgot simple things such as how to cook a chicken breast. Maybe that’s why your parents cared so much about finding you a husband. You were still excited about the prospects of receiving love and giving it back to someone but that excitement had died down a lot since you’d seen Johnny that day at the library.
“Yes, sir.” You responded as you looked out the window. Rain was clinging to the glass as if it was its life force. You found it fascinating how the drops would hit the window and stick only for them to slowly slide down. It was a cycle that was endless and so fun to watch. Your father left you alone as you heard the thumping of his shoes on the stairs. You tried to ignore the feeling of random sadness that you had started to feel. New emotions were appearing now that you had the slightest taste of freedom.
You were excited, nervous, sad, happy, etc. all because of a boy that you would never ever get to be with in any capacity. You looked at your clock on the wall and stood up, deciding it would be better for you to go get a snack and then take a short cat nap after just to get some of your energy back.
You let out a sigh as you walked down the stairs and came face-to-chest with your father.
“What’s wrong, R/n?” He lifted a hand up only for you to walk past him quickly. You were nervous. You didn’t want to speak to your father as he would only make those feelings intensify. You sat down at the kitchen table with a frown appearing on your features.
Your mom looked at you with the smallest of smiles playing at her lips. Your plate was already made and placed down in front of you. You didn’t immediately start to eat as your father came into the kitchen and sat down at the head of the table. Your eyes watched his every move, a certain anger filling you as you watched your parents turn to each other and began a conversation.
Why did they get to do whatever they wanted, even when it counted as a sin, yet when you do something, you're deemed a demon. A sinner who will never see the pearly gates of heaven. Your mouth stayed sealed as you felt the anger dissipate into thin air as guilt overtook every other emotion. Those were your parents. They never sinned even when you believed they did because you were uneducated and you didn’t understand the Bible as much as they did.
“I met a boy today.” You finally spoke, deciding to tell your parents the truth. God would want you to tell them the full, honest truth.
Your mom leaned forward with a smile on her face, “oh, tell me about him! Is he a God fearing man? Does he understand that you aren’t willing to be intimate until marriage? What about the church's rules? Does he know them?” Your stomach twisted at your mom’s words. You closed your eyes before starting to slowly answer all of her questions.
“He is. He goes to church. I did tell him that and he was okay with it. I haven’t mentioned the rules yet.” You whispered out as you sat up a bit straighter.
Your mom had a look of excitement on her face as she started talking while your father leaned back in his chair. “You’ll have to speak with brother David.” You hated calling everyone your brother and sister. It was unfair and disgusting when people began marrying each other within the church. You thought you were all brothers and sisters. You shuddered but nodded finally.
“Okay, but I never said that I wanted to be with him.” You responded as you picked your fork up and scooped some of the mashed potatoes up onto your fork. They were creamy and perfect. You continued shoveling the food into your mouth while your mom talked to your father.
“Our daughter is growing up. Next thing we know, she’s going to be in the hospital delivering our first grandchild.” Your stomach cramped with the pain of imaginary childbirth. That pain soon drifted to your lower body as you crossed your legs with the pain finally disappearing as you stopped thinking about it.
You would hold off on giving birth for as long as you possibly could.
“She won’t be doing anything until she speaks to brother David.” Your father reiterated what he had said before and you leaned back into your chair. Well, you at least had your mom’s permission to find a lover. You also remembered the numerous conversations where he had told you that he would choose a husband for you, because you weren’t smart enough to pick a good man.
You finished the food on your plate and stood up from the table as you decided you would wash your own plate. You didn’t want to stay at the dinner table any longer than you already had. That was a waste of time in your opinion.
You let out a sigh and walked to the kitchen, scraping the leftover food off of your plate before setting the plate and fork on the countertop and turning the sink on. You loved playing within the soapy bubbles that always spread rapidly once the soap was added. It smelt good and made you feel good. It made you feel clean.
You grabbed the sponge off of the holder that kept it out of the sink. You added a little soap to it before setting the plate into the sink and washing it. By the time you were finished, you had wanted to go to sleep. You grabbed the towel that you and your mom normally used to dry the dishes and quickly wiped the water off.
You opened the cabinet and you slid the plate into its normal place. “Hey, R/n? How much do you want for your allowance?” Your mom yelled to you and you wiped your hands onto your floral dress as you quickly started to walk towards your mom. Your heels clicked on the floor of your home as you caught sight of your parents who were still sitting in the kitchen.
“I don’t mind but I do really want that (favorite colored) dress that has (favorite design) on it.” You looked at your mom before your father pulled his wallet out and pulled a few dollars out. It was more than enough for you to buy the dress.
“Thank you, father.” You wrapped your arms around your father excitedly. You couldn’t remember a time where you felt so happy about receiving money. Usually, you would argue some and hope that they kept whatever money it was that they were trying to give. When it came to the man who had a helping hand in your creation, you didn’t care much. You enjoyed taking money from him and reminding him of your existence otherwise, he wouldn’t remember you past being at church.
You started making your way back to your room, hoping that you could meet that Johnny boy again. Hopefully he would be willing to meet up with you again so you could talk further than you anxiously speaking words that shouldn’t have ever been spoken in the same sentence. You wished you wouldn’t have lied and told him that you date to marry.
You needed human interaction to survive. You loved being with some of your close friends while doing anything at all. You couldn’t care less what the interaction you had was so long as you weren’t alone.
You started walking back up onto the stairs as you thought about how you could get into contact with Johnny once more. You made it to the top of the stairs and your eyes landed on the cross that hung above the staircase. You smiled as you murmured the lightest of prayers, and went back up to your room to pick an outfit out for your day out tomorrow. You wanted to impress Johnny and make him see you in a light that made you seem almost innocent. Men only wanted innocent and modest women.
You picked out a dress that had long sleeves and went down to the floor. You would wear your heels and it would make the dress reach close to your ankles. You set the dress onto the chair in the corner of your room.
You changed into a more comfortable outside before brushing your teeth and hair.
Soon after, you were in your bed and whispering prayers to God, hoping he would bless you with the prospects of love.
You were up and eating breakfast with your stomach twisting into knots. Your mom didn’t mention the slight shake of your hands and she didn’t mention how you were dressed up with makeup and all. She didn’t want him to realize and keep you home instead of letting you go out with your friend.
“Thank you for the money.” You grabbed the orange juice and took a sip from it as your mom looked at you with a smile. Your father had a slight smile but he it didn’t reach his eyes.
You were quick to leave your house, knowing you would be an hour or so early for whatever was going to happen with Johnny. You wiped your hands onto your dress and started walking slowly. You could take the time to admire your surroundings instead of trying to book it to meet up with Johnny.
He would probably be late anyways as all of the men you knew were rarely on time without a woman forcing them to get up and out of the door before a specific time. You meant no harm to Johnny but he didn’t seem like the kind of man to have someone doing that for him.
More often than not, he had dirt on his face and always seemed dirty. You would fix that, of course. You made sure to pack a small jar of water along with a handkerchief to make sure that he would get clean.
You looked around at the trees with a small smile on your face. Animals were casually running around and happily avoiding you as if their lives depended on it. Though, in hindsight, you were technically a danger to the animals mostly because humans killed them so often.
You noticed the Summit was quickly approaching within your line of vision and you quickened your pace so you could sit somewhere and wait for Johnny.
You entered the building and a shocked expression overtook your features as you tilted your head. Johnny was sitting on one of the benches and was pulling at something in his pocket. “Johnny?” You smiled as you realized he was early without you even having to ask him.
Johnny stood up and held a hand out for you as you gave him a grin. “I didn’t want to be late so I left a little earlier…” Johnny’s voice held that southern accent that made you smile. You had lived in the south your entire life but for majority of it, you lived in Utah so your accents were slightly different.
“That’s why I came early, too. Well, come on! We need to get into the shops before everyone else gets in.” You noticed the dirt had been wiped away but the grease in his hair was prevalent still.
You didn’t mind though as the two of you started walking together. “I… I’m sorry if I came off as overbearing last time. I never meant to come off like that.” You whispered out as you walked a little quicker just in case he didn’t react well to your words.
“You didn’t. I just wasn’t ready for it.” Johnny caught up with you and gave you the shyest smile you had ever seen.
“Oh… okay.” You pulled open the glass door, a smile present on your face as you walked into the building. You held the door open for Johnny with a grin on your face. You seen him pause for a moment before he walked into the store you wanted to go in. His eyes shifted from dress to dress without much thought behind his eyes.
“Oh, they still have it!” You smiled as you rushed to grab the dress that you originally wanted. You held the dress up and gave Johnny the most innocent smile he had ever seen in his life.
You skimmed through the sizes and chose yours, holding the dress under your arm as you waved an employee down. “Hi! I was wondering if you could let me into one of the dressing rooms?” You asked with a shy smile on your face.
The woman immediately nodded as the two of you began walking towards the dressing rooms. You peaked over your shoulder and saw Johnny was slowly following too. You would need to make sure he didn’t feel awkward after showing him the dress.
“My sister loves this dress. She actually cut the sleeves off because she thought it looked cuter and it really does!” The employee smiled at you and your eyes sparkled.
“Oh, that’s wonderful! I may have to do that before the summer months hit.” You laughed as the woman opened the dressing room door. She closed it after you and you looked at yourself in the mirror.
You were gorgeous.
You slipped out of the dress you were in and slid into the other dress with a smile on your face. The dress was beautiful on you and really made you look ten times better than you ever thought you would look. You always assumed the very worst of anything especially when it came to clothes.
You opened the door of the dressing room and gave Johnny a small smile as you showed him your dress. “I think it looks pretty on me. What about you?” You asked softly as you turned slightly to show him the back of the dress even though it was the same as the other countless dresses you had.
“It looks very beautiful on you.” Johnny gave you a small, breathless smile as he looked you up and down. You walked over to him and wrapped your arms around his shoulders, hugging him as you decided you wanted to give him physical affection.
It wasn’t unnatural for you to want to give people hugs as that was your love language. You slowly let go of the man and went back into the dressing room with a smile on your face. You kissed Johnny’s cheek with the softest smile on your face. You let go of Johnny completely and backed away with your lipstick stains stuck on Johnny’s face.
You walked back into the dressing room and changed back into your other dress as you quickly wanted to make it back to Johnny on the other side of the door. “Hey, Johnny? Can you come in here?” You weren’t going to be undressed in front of Johnny as you had a shirt underneath the dress because you thought of every situation, including having Johnny help you.
Johnny slowly opened the door of the dressing room and came in before closing it with his foot. “What do you need help with?” Johnny asked quietly as he kept his eyes to the ground.
“Can you zip the dress up?” You turned around and smiled as you felt his hand make contact with the shirt on your back. You heard and felt the zipper get pulled up.
You turned around and you both exited the dressing room only for you to see one of your friends from the church standing in line. You grabbed Johnny’s hand and quickly scampered away from the dressing room so she wouldn’t tell your parents that the two of you were alone in the dressing room together.
You let go of Johnny’s hand and you both stood together in the line to pay. Now, you only wanted to get out of the store and the Summit in fear of your parents finding out that you were with a boy. Your parents knew that you had gone out with a man but they didn’t know who it was and you wanted to keep it that way. You didn’t want them to unnecessarily judge him for being less fortunate than your family.
“I was thinking that we could get something to eat afterwards?” You looked at Johnny with the biggest smile on your face.
“Yeah, if that’s what you want.” Johnny mumbled out as he kept his stare at the floor. You were slightly upset that he was so shy but then again, it still made you feel happy/giddy to know that he even wanted to spend time with you, anyways.
“That is what I want and I’ll pay for anything you want.” You smiled as the cashier suddenly caught your attention. You set your dress down on the counter and paid before leaving with Johnny.
You wanted to go to one of the higher end diners that you knew of but Johnny didn’t seem comfortable with the idea so you let him choose a place. He settled on a place that was in a rougher spot in town but nothing the two of you couldn’t get through. You knew that you would get something that would be easy on the stomach so that when you got home, you would also be able to eat supper with your family.
Johnny was standing in front of you with the door to the diner held open. You smiled at him as you felt a yawn creeping up from the back of your throat. You were so tired but knew that you had gotten enough sleep so being tired didn’t make much sense. “Oh, I’m so excited. I’ve never been here before.” You made a comment before realizing that could be taken in a different way. How would the upper middle class/wealthy girl ever end up in the bad part of town with everyone else? She wouldn’t unless she was with someone who knew the bad part of town.
You sat down at a booth and Johnny followed before you started talking. You were rambling on and on. Johnny allowed you to do so and didn’t bother to add anything into the conversation besides the occasional “yeah” or “okay”. You sheepishly smiled at him after rambling and he finally spoke, “do you want something to eat?” Johnny didn’t have a lot of money and he never thought he’d be in a situation where he would need it to make a girl feel like he genuinely likes her.
“Yeah but I’ll pay! I have more than enough money for the both of us. If you want, I can slip the money to you so you don’t feel embarrassed.” You gave Johnny a genuine smile as you leaned back against the booth seat. You grabbed the money from within your purse and nodded at Johnny to grab it from under the table. You didn’t want others to shame him even more for “making” the girl pay.
You cared deeply about societal norms and everything that came with it but you also knew that you wanted to have a lover before you became old and barren. You didn’t want to lose your ability to have children before you even had a chance to have a lover.
You watched as Johnny took the money from you with a frown on his face. You grabbed two menus from the holder on the back of the table and handed one to him. “Oh, I want a salad.” You smiled at Johnny with your cheeks turning a light shade of red. You didn’t want him to see you as anything other than an attractive woman. Anything else would be considered unfair to you as you always worked and tried to present yourself as a respectable and honest young woman.
“I want a hamburger…” Johnny’s voice had gotten more confident and you were proud of that. It must’ve meant that he was comfortable around you.
You nodded at him before speaking, “oh, I enjoy hamburgers but I love myself a nice salad.” You looked down at your stomach and Johnny watched as you subconsciously sunk down into the booth at the sight of your own stomach. You forced the frown off of your face and looked back up at Johnny.
“You know, I would love to go to the library soon. If you’d like, you can come with me…” you were nervous. You had never asked a man to go on a second date with you. That was when the realization hit you that this most likely wasn’t a date and he considered the two of you only friends. You played with your fingers under the table and cursed yourself slightly as you understood that caused it.
You let out a sigh as your thoughts started making you second guess everything. You liked Johnny but you felt almost as if you were using him. You decided then that you wanted to spend more time with Johnny.
You finally end wrapped your arms around yourself. You smiled at Johnny to make him less worried. You had noticed how his face fell slightly when you wrapped your arms around yourself and you felt guilty for being selfish. Everything was so awkward now that the two of you were alone with one another.
Soon enough, a waitress had stopped by y’all’s table to take your orders and you both gave your orders before you looked back at Johnny. “I’m sorry if this is awkward. I’ve tried to make everything less awkward but I feel like I’ve made it worse.” You laughed quietly and apologized softly.
You never wanted to make him uncomfortable and you felt that you had. “You didn’t! You… come off as a little strong but that’s fine.” You heard Johnny speak up, this time louder than any time before.
You leaned back in the seat and let out a sigh, knowing that you were going to go home and cry.
You were laying in bed with tears rolling down your cheeks. Your parents knew that you were out with Johnny and they knew that he had come into the dressing room with you. You were forced into your room and told that you wouldn’t be allowed to eat for a week and after that, you wouldn’t be allowed to see Johnny again.
You were glad that you ate before you came home and you knew that your mom would slip you snacks through the door when your father wasn’t looking. You were ashamed as you knew that everything you done was wrong. You not only hurt your parents but you angered God.
You had turned your back on the only thing that loved you for you. You felt yourself choke back another sob as you stared at the ceiling with tears rolling down your face. You grabbed a pillow and covered your face as you got off your bed. Your father was yelling downstairs and you knew the way to get your punishment over quickly.
You opened the door to your room and began walking down the stairs, understand that you would be in plenty of pain by the time it was all over. You understood that you deserved what your father was going to do to you and you were terrified. You didn’t want to be hurt but you also understood that you had to be hurt in one way or another.
It was the only way to receive God’s forgiveness for your sins.
Your feet hit the bottom of the stairs and you walked into the living room, looking at your parents. Your mom’s eyes widened and she immediately told you to go back to your room. You were sobbing again and your mom tried to reach you only for your father to physically throw her onto the couch.
Your father grabbed you by your shoulder and began forcing you towards the basement. It would only take five minutes, right? That was the usual time it took for you to finish all the punishments. You were silent throughout the ordeal as you knew that nothing you said would do anything. He would tell you to shut your mouth and you’d be punished longer than you would had you just kept your mouth shut.
You were forced onto the ground on top of a tarp-like surface that would catch any liquids that would fall during the interaction that was about to take place.
You didn’t want to fight back much as you had once before and your nose had been broken for it. You were embarrassed to admit that you stopped fighting back after that. On top of that though, God wouldn’t want you to fight back. He would want you to take whatever was given to you with grace.
You heard everything before you felt the physical pain from what you assumed to be your father’s belt.
You were close to sobbing by the third hit but your reminded yourself that you needed food. You could take quite a few hits before your body gave out but to go without eating for a week, it wasn’t something you wanted to do.
Soon enough, your father had left the basement and left you on the ground with tears in your eyes. You would never do this to your future children. Not even in the name of God.
It was too painful for you to even breath that second so why would you ever do something so heinous to someone else especially when it hurt you. You let out a silent sob as you slowly lifted yourself off of the floor. You looked at the ground and noticed the dark liquid that had formed from what happened. You gritted your teeth and began walking up the stairs, tears welling in your eyes as you struggled to walk up the stairs.
You opened the basement door and let out a choked sound before you almost slipped. You groaned as you weakly made your way to your room.
You almost let out a yell as you saw Johnny sitting on your bed with his eyes widening the second he saw you. “What happened to you?” He stood up and you closed your door quickly and slid your dresser in front of it.
You almost gave out as you covered your mouth to silence your scream. You sat down on your bed and shut your eyes tightly. Johnny put a hand on your thigh and gently tapped it as he watched your face change from one to pain to one of fear. “This is a sin.” You hissed out between clenched teeth.
“It’s not. You’re not a sinner because I touch you.” Johnny wrapped his arms around you and you let out another choked sob as you began to take your clothes off in front of Johnny.
“Help me…” your voice cracked as you begged him for help. You didn’t want to be physically hurt anymore. You couldn’t do it. “My father done this because we were in the dressing room together.” Johnny watched as you finished taking off your dress. You had since taken off the shirt underneath and Johnny was both in awe and disgust at the wounds. He’d never seen wounds so deep in a woman.
Johnny got up and begin searching your room, finding tape and an old shirt that seemed dirty. Johnny ripped the shirt and began gently tapping your wounds with it. “I’ll get you out of here. I fuckin’ promise to get you out of here.” He gave you a look of pure anger as you let out a whimper when he hit one of the wounds just right.
“Why do you got tape?” You whispered out as you tried to focus on anything and everything other than the fact that the boy you just got beat over was holding tape and cleaning your wounds.
“It’s nothin’. What’s your favorite book?” Johnny asked as he finished up with whatever he was doing.
You were already talking, hoping that you could somehow forget about the pain that came from each and every touch on your back.
“Edgar Allan Poe is my favorite author and I can’t choose between all of his books but I’d say The Raven is the best of them all.” You whispered out through gritted teeth. You finally felt Johnny gently pull your shirt down. You heard someone walking up the stairs and you immediately pushed Johnny into your closet.
Someone tried to open your door but was abruptly stopped by the dresser in front of it. “R/n? Baby, are you okay?” Your mom’s voice came through the door but you looked down at the ground.
“You said you’d talk to him about the no food thing.” Your voice cracked as you moved to sit down on your bed. You were… tired. That wasn’t the exact word for what you were feeling but it was oddly similar to what you were feeling. You thought that you wouldn’t ever grow tired of living the life that you were given but you had. The bruises were always painful and he never said sorry for all the physical and mental/emotional pain he caused both you and your mom.
Your mom had no reason to stay with him and she had no reason to fear him. She came from a wealthy family which is how your family even managed to stay in such an expensive house. Your father, a bank teller, didn’t make much and wouldn’t have been able to afford the home you lived in without your grandpa.
Your mom walked away from your room, the quietest of sobs leaving your mom. You felt terrible and felt like you were being too harsh on your poor mom. Your father “disciplined” her as well though her punishments were usually worse than yours and if she ever stood up against him for you, he would beat her until she was near death.
Johnny wanted to say something, anything but he couldn’t physically bring himself to speak. It was an awful feeling for the two of you as you sat silently in your room. You finally looked over at Johnny with a weird look on your face. “How did you get into my room?” Your voice sounded rough around the edges, breaking with every other word.
“I climbed the tree?” Johnny looked at you with a small blush coating his cheeks. You looked out your window and looked at the tree, looking back over at Johnny right after.
“I… didn’t know that was possible.” You heard Johnny stop all movement and you decided that you wanted to get sleep but you didn’t want to be alone. “I know we don’t really know each other but can you stay for a bit? My father won’t bother me for a few days and my mom will come by tomorrow afternoon.” You whispered out as you looked over at Johnny. Your nerves were absolutely on fire as you waited for his answer.
“Yeah, I can.” Johnny got off the bed and turned your light off after you asked him to stay, seeing the tiredness in your eyes. You blindly laid down on your bed and reached to grab the blanket on your bed. You were far too tired to fight with anything or anyone. You just wanted to get a few hours of sleep without being interrupted.
“I’m going to go to sleep. You can stay up and do whatever just be a little quiet because my parents will try to come in if you make too much noise.” You closed your eyes as you silently mumbled a prayer. You couldn’t clasp your hands together or get down on your knees as the pain was far too intense for you to move much.
All the adrenaline you had had disappeared by the time you settled back down into your bedroom. Johnny paused in front of you and your bed with hesitation creeping up. He didn’t want to get in bed with you in fear of you pulling away from him.
You moved over slowly and patted the bed beside you, understanding his fear of not wanting to be in bed with you. You felt the bed dip as he got in beside you and you wrapped your arms around one of your pillows and brought it down to your stomach.
You curled around it and closed your eyes as tightly as you could. Your parents wouldn’t come back to your room well into the next day and you were okay with that as you knew your mom would most likely try to make things “right” by bribing you with food or something else she knew you would enjoy.
Your father would only give you a dirty look, making sure you knew he and the men at the church all knew of your sins. Your mom would never gossip because she said that was one of the easiest sins to commit. Your father, on the other hand, loved to tell the other men about how he punished you. You had heard him go into detail about it and it made you feel upset.
Your cheeks was stained with the tears you shed earlier. You were slightly embarrassed to admit that you still cried over the things that happened. You were always told that you would grow out of being sensitive but with every passing day and birthday, you realized you wouldn’t. You still cried over the smallest of things and you couldn’t control the tears once they started. You felt that it wasn’t the biggest issue that you could have and yet, everyone else felt the opposite. They treated you differently based solely on the fact that you were a tad bit more sensitive than they were.
Your blanket was rapidly warming up as you kept it pinned tightly around you, feeling only the slightest bit of guilt for Johnny when you felt his body release a small shake. “Are you cold? Get under here with me.” You moved over and held the blanket up for Johnny to get in with you. You didn’t want to wait for very long so when he moved slower than you wanted, you blindly reached a hand out and pulled him into your bed with you.
His body hit your bed with a thump and you smiled as you turned to face the wall. You didn’t want to bother him or make him feel uncomfortable so you pushed yourself against the wall with an almost silent hiss as your back made full contact with something. You turned onto your stomach and closed your eyes with your body relaxing. You weren’t tired, not really but you needed more sleep especially after what happened.
“I’ll get you out of here. I swear to it.” Johnny whispered out from behind you into the silence of your bedroom.
You laughed quietly as you shook your head. “You can’t and that’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with what’s happening. This is God’s plan.” You shifted and let your foot slip out from under the blanket that shielded you from the outside world.
“This ain’t God’s plan. Man, if God wanted you to be hurt, wouldn’t he just do it himself?” Johnny asked you with a frown on his face. You couldn’t see it but you knew he wasn’t happy with you or the situation.
“I don’t know. God has people on Earth and he uses them to punish.” You responded only for Johnny to wrap an arm around you. He knew he needed comfort after being beat by his folks and assumed you would need/want that same comfort. You never did want that comfort mostly because the only people in your house was the ones who caused the pain in the first place. On top of that, the likelihood of your father stepping off of his high horse and trying to comfort you was almost as likely as seeing a unicorn.
It just wasn’t possible. He believed he was above you and your emotions which, in God’s eyes, he was. You weren’t supposed to complain as that was wrong too. Everything you had been doing as of late was wrong and you were ashamed to admit that you had willingly done most of it.
You felt the arm that was around you tighten around you more as your body shook with the silent sobs that left you. You had been so strong up until that point and now you couldn’t be strong. You were weak and would never live up to the person your parents seen when they looked at you. You were absolutely disgusting.
You closed your eyes and felt yourself drift off into a dreamless sleep.
You were woken up by someone shaking you gently. “You need to get up.” It was Johnny. He was trying to get you up and out of bed. “Come on. Both your parents left and you needa get up. We gotta go.” Johnny finally picked you up off of your bed and put your feet onto the floor of your bedroom.
“Johnny, we can’t leave? They’re my family.” You whispered out as Johnny started putting your things into a small bag.
“My folks are like yours. They ain’t worth nothin’ if they’re hittin’ you.” Johnny looked at you and gestured around. You started putting clothes into the bag before zipping it up and letting Johnny force your dresser from its place in front of your door.
Johnny intertwined your hands together and led you downstairs where the two of you left the house that you were raised in. It was unnerving and really made you feel terrible.
** One Year Later **
You put the notepad into the pocket of your apron. You were waiting for Johnny to come in so he could walk you back to your shared apartment with him. “Hey, baby!” You heard his voice as the bell above the glass door rung, telling you that someone had come in.
“Hi, lovely.” You pressed a kiss onto his cheek as you waved for him to sit at the counter. You were proud of both yourself and your lover. You made it out of whatever hell you had started in. You’d gotten yourself a psychiatrist/psychologist which you couldn’t remember which one it was but you were getting the help that you desperately need.
“Your shift was good?” Johnny asked as you poured some beer into a glass cup. You were the only one running the diner and Johnny would pay and tip you for pouring him a cup. You didn’t need that tip from him as the two of you shared finances but if you didn’t somehow, you would appreciate it.
“It was fine. I seen a man who looked very similar to my father earlier. Thought he’d finally come back to hurt me.” You set the glass in front of him. You leaned over the counter and pressed a kiss to Johnny’s cheek. You were feeling slightly relieved at the thought of your past life. You loved your parents more than anything but with the help of Johnny and a professional, you realized that God never wanted your father to beat you mercilessly.
You watched as Johnny took a sip of his beer. “We can afford for you to go to more of those sessions.” Johnny didn’t know much about your mental situation but he tried the best he could.
“Yeah, I know. He says I’m doing good for now. Says I’ve come a long way.” You walked around the counter and sat beside Johnny, laying your head on his shoulder. Your eyes were on the clock placed on the wall as you shook the thoughts from your head. “When you finish drinking that, we can leave. I’m closing tonight.” You stood up and watched as Johnny finished off the last of the beer.
He handed you the glass and you were quick to wash it. You were excited to go home and lay in bed with Johnny. You had never thought that you would be excited to just lay beside someone but once you and Johnny started to live the peaceful life, you were excited by the small things. You were looking forward to the future. To the days where you would get to see your future children running around.
You finished up with the cleaning and you began locking the diner up. “Oh, I’m so excited! I can’t wait to lay down and go to sleep.” You groaned out as you put the keys into your pocket. You would give them to Maryann in the morning when she came in. For now, you’d focus on the small family you had made for yourself that consisted of a healthier lifestyle, without the abuse.
Even if said abuse would haunt you for the rest of your life, you were at the very least, happy with yourself and the life you and Johnny had created.

Here are summaries for all the answer choices above!!
1. Johnny Cade x Female! Reader who’s stuck in a cult
2. Johnny Cade x Female! Reader who sees everyone around her with no eyes
Summary: You were more often than not forced into your room with the curtains drawn and your door locked. Everyone around you was missing their eyes and all that was left was these gaping holes. They still moved around freely without knocking anything over so you assumed it was in your head until Johnny tells you that he sees it too and he doesn’t think the two of you are crazy.
3. Vampire! Johnny Cade x Female! Reader who’s completely obvious to the fact.
Summary: You had been friends with the Curtis’s for as long as you could remember so when Ponyboy mentions a friend named Johnny out of the blue, you grow curious. How come you’ve never met him before when you’re always at Ponyboy’s house? So, when you receive an invite to Johnny’s house, seemingly along with Ponyboy, you take him up on the offer. What you didn’t know about the boy was he was far more interested in the beautiful blood flowing through those pretty veins of yours.
4. Johnny Cade x Female! Reader who’s mother is an imposter
Summary: You were told that all potential living relatives were dead and you would never get to see your dad again. When you receive a letter in the mail, detailing the circumstances that forced your dad to leave. Along with the letter, your dad sent a picture of your family as a means of reassurance. The most terrifying part wasn’t that your “dead” dad wasn’t actually dead but the fact that the woman in the picture looks absolutely nothing like the woman you call mother now. With all of that happening, you began relying on Johnny Cade, your best friend, more as he comforts you and tries to help ease you through everything. At times, it seems like he knows more than you do but if you can’t trust Johnny then who could you trust?
5. Kidnapped! Johnny Cade x Kidnapped! Female! Reader
Summary: You were sneaking out to see one of your close friends when you get taken by a stranger in the middle of the night, with absolutely no one knowing your whereabouts. When you get to the place your kidnapper will be holding you hostage, you realize there’s another person and he already seems to be in the mood to fight for his life to escape.
6. Johnny Cade x Female! Reader where everyone disappears for twenty four hours
Summary: When every person in Tulsa, Oklahoma disappears within minutes, only you and Johnny are left to fend yourselves against the monster that had risen with nothing other than the shotgun your mom owned and Johnny’s switchblade.
I do want to add this down here just in case but these stories/oneshots aren’t suitable for those 15 and under. I know I can’t stop anyone from reading but I’d prefer an older audience because some of these topics are extremely mature. On top of that, I want to add this is all fiction. Please, don’t romanticize anything you see in any piece of literature that is tagged as horror.
I can swap the boys out if you want one with one of the other boys too. I specifically just wanted to show Johnny some love because he’s kind of overlooked. Plus, I love him so:).
All of these stories/oneshots will contain dark content that may be offensive or triggering to some people and I will add content warnings at the beginning of every story/oneshot.
I will also eventually get around to writing all of these out and getting them posted on here!!
One last thing is I only write for female reader. I’ve only ever experienced being a woman so I feel like I have no right to write about someone else’s experiences.

↱ The Outsiders When You’re Sick (Fem! Reader) ↰
↱ Summary: You get sick and spend the day(s) with your boyfriend. ↰
↱ Characters that are present in this are Darry Curtis, Sodapop Curtis, Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade, Steve Randle, Dallas Winston, and Two-bit Matthews. ↰
↱ Author’s note: I started writing this when I got extremely sick. Never again will I go out into a public space without germ-x😭. Anyways, I’m thinking about writing a vampire au with Johnny because why not. I don’t know but I want to write more horror with the boys so:). Also, I hope y’all have had an amazing beginning of the year so far!!:)💛 ↰
Darry Curtis:
You coughed from your place on the bed. Your nose had turned a light pink color and you were already exhausted from the sickness. You weren’t in the mood to deal with the boys so you stayed in your own home which was something that wasn’t a normal occurrence for you. You told Darry not to visit under the guise that you simply weren’t feeling well. It wasn’t a complete lie but you didn’t want him overstaying and forgetting his other responsibilities.
Darry had a habit of doing that when you were involved. It was unfortunate as he usually had things he needed to do before you got sick.
You grabbed your glass of water and took another sip of it, coughing the second it was completely down your throat.
It had all started with an itchy feeling in your throat earlier that week. You forgot you were a human as well and didn’t take any medicine before you got to this point of sickness. You rolled over and covered your head with your blanket. You finally got up once someone knocked on the door. “Coming.” You let out a cough afterwards. The door had opened quickly and you covered your mouth with a tissue you had laying on your bedside table.
Darry came in and frowned once he noticed the state you were in. “Why didn’t you let me know?” Darry began pulling you back towards the bed and laid you down.
“You shouldn’t be bothered with me. You have to work today, right?” You asked, confused and a little upset. You didn’t want him missing valuable work days for you. He had bills to pay just the same even if you’re sick.
“No, I don’t. I’m off for the day.” Darry gave you a smile without much thought put behind it. He always smiled with you.
You thought that it was because you were funny or because he thought you were cute. You had come to the realization that he only ever smiled like that with you. If it was because you were funny, he would laugh at Two-bit. If he thought that you were cute, he would’ve smiled like that with those girls who throw themselves at his feet but, he only ever looked at you that way. You found yourself trying to stay awake as Darry made you something to eat.
You let out a yawn and looked at the man who walked back through your door with food in his hand. “It’s not the best, but I think you’ll like this.” He smiled at you but this time, it was a nervous smile.
“I think I will, too. I like everything you make.” You answered back, slightly shyer about the situation than he was. Darry sat the food down in front of you before you finally looked up at him. You stared at him with slight worry as his face was flushed. “Are you okay? Your face is kinda red.” You pressed a warm hand against his forehead.
He was burning up. “Darry? Did you get sick?” You tilted your head. You sniffled slightly before you pulled him down beside you. You were grateful that Darry had set the food down onto the bedside table before you roughly grabbed him.
You forced him beside you. You threw your favorite colored blanket over Darry and tossed a leg over his waist. “You’re so sweet, Darry,” you pressed a kiss against his cheek, “but, you need to look after yourself. Now, you’re stuck with me until we both get better.” You pressed another kiss to his cheek before closing your eyes and cuddling closer to him.
Sodapop Curtis:
You were holding all your notebooks in your hands, hoping to make it home before the cold weather takes you out again. You were sick and had been for weeks leading up to your current predicament. Your throat was dry and was feeling slightly itchy while your chest was hurting with every other cough.
You weren’t going to see Soda’s family or him until you were better which seemed to upset him but, he understood where you were coming from. You moved your textbooks around before grasping all the different books and finding a good hold on them. You knew that you would still have to do your schoolwork even if you were feeling like you were on your deathbed.
Rain began falling from the sky and you tilted your head for a moment, beginning to realize that even Mother Nature had it out for you. You let out a sigh and decided to head to the DX. It would only be for a few moments. You wouldn’t bother the boys while they worked. You jogged to the store and opened the door, sniffling a bit as you walked up to the counter. “Hey, I’m going to be sitting in here for a bit to stay out of the rain but, as soon as it stops raining, I will be going home.” You sat your books all down onto the counter.
Soda smiled at you, “Okay, baby. Me and Steve are about to get off, though. Do you want to come with us? Steve can drop you off at home.” Soda leaned forward towards you.
“Don’t you even think about it. No touching me until I’m better.” Soda jokingly poked your arm. “Seriously! I don’t want you getting sick.” You shook your head as a way of showing your disappointment.
“I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have but still.” Soda watched you as you began coughing. Steve came out of the back, grease covering his hands and face.
“Do you need one of my tissues? I have plenty to spare.” You held up some of the tissue you had in your bag after grabbing it out.
“No. There’s a rag somewhere around here.” Steve grumbled as he began looking for the rag he mentioned before.
“Okay, Steve. Well, I baked that chocolate cake. I made sure everything was chocolate this time.” You sniffled again and looked back towards your boyfriend with a bored look plaguing your face. “And, I got you something, too.” You looked at Soda with a grin plastered on your face.
You began coughing before either man could say anything in response to your earlier statements. You grabbed the money needed from your pocket and slammed it onto the counter in front of you. Soda jumped over the counter with very little hesitation and grabbed you a bottled water. Once it was opened and you took a few sips, you felt much better. You slowly moved to sit down on the chair that was always left out in the open in the DX. “Well, Soda baby, I’ll be staying for a while so I might as well get comfortable with you.” You leaned back.
Soda happily ran towards you and picked you up before placing you on his lap. You wrapped your arms around his neck and planted a gentle kiss onto his cheek. “I’m going to get you sick.” You let out another cough into your elbow but Soda shrugged his shoulders.
“Who cares? I’ll blame it on the weather.” And with that, he kissed you.
Yes, he did end up getting sick two days later. He did blame the weather as well.
Ponyboy Curtis:
Your throat was the main thing bothering you in that one single moment. You were currently being babied by your boyfriend who was practically hand feeding you. He had spooned out enough honey for your throat to feel a little better and on top of that, he had cuddled with you. You both knew you were still contagious and could very well give him your virus but he refused to listen to you.
So, the two of you laid in bed with your arms wrapped around one another. It was sweet, at first. Then, he fell asleep. You found him adorable while asleep but that was before he started to lightly snore. You waved it off as him just being a man before his snores began to grow in sound. He went from soft snores to sounding like your dad within seconds. You tried to ignore it but, within seconds, you were growing irritated. You wouldn’t wake him up, no matter how bad his snores were so you simply rolled over and closed your eyes.
You began coughing and noticed how with every cough, both your chest and your stomach hurt. You assumed that you probably coughed too much and worked your muscles a little too much so you tried to hold back on the coughing. Ponyboy shifted beside you and you grabbed his hand a little, noticing how he slowed with his movements. You smiled and rolled over, only noticing that his eyes were open when you met them. “You snore like an old man.” You joked as you giggled a bit.
You felt your stuffy nose hurt a little and sighed as you stopped laughing. It hurt when you did that as well but you payed more attention to your nose rather than your stomach. “You’ve told me before.” He whispered before placing a small kiss on your forehead. Your fever had gone down tremendously since he started taking care of you.
You rarely took care of yourself. It was always about others for you. You enjoyed taking care of your friends, your siblings, your parents, anyone and everyone you could take care of you did. It was unfortunate as those were qualities that made Ponyboy fall in love with you but they also made him frustrated with you.
You knew he would be upset with you not taking care of yourself properly but you also couldn’t get out of bed without feeling like you would vomit if you did. It was a sad sight to see. With no other options, Pony decided he’d take care of you so long as you let him and you did. You allowed him to do whatever he wanted to comfort you and help you feel better. “You know, I really appreciate you doing this for me. I know my parents are a hassle and it was hard convincing them to leave me with you alone in a house but, thank you. I really really love you.” You wrapped your arms around his neck and let your head fall onto his shoulder.
Pony stayed as still as he could, not wanting to accidentally cause you to become uncomfortable and move away. He let one of his arms slowly fall around your waist and looked at you for a moment before you okayed it. You pressed yourself closer to him a just stared at him. “I really really love you, too.” There your cheesy boy was.
You knew he’d say something that would make you flush. You could always blame it on the fever but, still. You rolled over as you began coughing. The pain spread throughout your body in one big motion.
You really hated being sick.
Johnny Cade:
You were laying on your porch with your face a light shade of red. Your nose was stuffy, your throat was stinging with dryness even after five glasses of water, and your joints were hurting badly. You felt the wind blow and felt grateful for the cold wind that hit your body. You were extremely hot and since it was beginning to get colder outside, you felt it would be okay to sit outside in the thinnest clothes that you could find within your closet.
“Hey, R/n!” Someone called out to you.
You blindly lifted your hand up and waved to let whoever it was know you were awake and alive. It wasn’t a common sight to see you of all people laying on a wooden porch in the middle of the night. You let your hand slowly come back down and reach for the glass of water beside you.
You opened your eyes once the person stepped onto the wooden steps of your porch. “Hey, baby.” You smiled as you reached for Johnny. He sat down beside you and grabbed your glass of water. He handed it to you and watched as you took a sip before taking the glass back and setting it down. “Oh, don’t sit too close to me! You’ll get sick.” You frowned as you tried to move away from Johnny.
Instead of him listening to you and actually thinking about himself, he simply moved closer to you and grabbed your head to place in his lap. You finally sigh as you let your head fall onto his thighs. You turned over and shoved your face into his stomach, feeling a bit more safe and secure than you did earlier.
Something about Johnny made you feel safe. You could never tell what though. You wrapped your arms around his waist and just laid still for a while. “You know, I’ve thought about this time and time again and I think we should adopt an animal.” You murmured out as you placed a gentle kiss on his stomach.
You suddenly began coughing violently as Johnny grabbed your glass of water for you. He let you take a few sips before setting it back down.
“I think we should, too. Havin’ a cute puppy or kitten that we could keep would be…” Johnny didn’t even finish his sentence as you batted your eyelashes up at him teasingly.
“It’s starting to sound like you want more than a puppy or a kitten.” You joked as you curled up around your lover, happily living in that moment with him. It was something you never thought you would be able to do.
“Y’know what I mean.” Johnny muttered out as he leaned down and pressed kisses to your forehead.
“You’re so precious,” you said as you sit up and sniffle. Johnny just smiled back as you sighed.
“I really hope you don’t get sick because of this.” You whispered out as you pressed a kiss to his neck as you stood up and stretched. You held a hand out to Johnny as you spoke, “I really want to go inside and sleep. Wanna come cuddle with me?” You smiled at your lover as he stood up.
Steve Randle:
You were tired of the man sitting beside you. You were trying to get him away from you as he had to work. You didn’t want him getting sick and either staying with his parent(s) or staying with you and contaminating you again. The cycle would be endless, honestly as the two of you weren’t the smartest.
“Steve!” You gasped as he suddenly pulled you into a kiss. He found it hilarious that you had a kind of fear towards being sick. You crossed your arms as you shook your head. “Never do that again. We’re swapping germs now!” You huffed out as you pulled yourself away from the smug looking man.
“Oh, shut up. Come here.” Steve murmured as he pulled you closer to his body. You fell into his lap and groaned as you tried pushing yourself away once again.
“I don’t wanna.” You whined out as you continued playing tug-of-war with your body. It was mostly fun and kept your mind off of the sore throat you had. That was your only symptom besides a stuffy nose but that would stay for a few more days, anyway.
You and Steve both went quiet as y’all stopped moving as much. You didn’t want to speak or move much as mostly because of how comfortable you had gotten on Steve. That meant he wasn’t allowed to move as well.
You wrapped an arm around his neck and let the other fall onto his chest as you both watched the tv that was playing some random movie on it. It was a comforting feeling that you had with him. You felt a sense of peace laying there and you didn’t feel like ruining that by moving.
You felt Steve’s breath even out as you pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek. You let him sleep even though the point of him coming over to your house was so he could take care of you. You knew Steve worked hard though and appreciated the effort he put in to be there for you.
Even if it was kind of lazy, he still managed to make up smile and feel slightly better about being sick and stuck in your house for a few days.
Dallas Winston:
Your cough was bad and Dally wasn’t coming nowhere near you. He was a considered a badass but wouldn’t cuddle with you while you were sick.
You puffed your cheeks out in frustration as he laid down on his bed. You were sitting on a chair in his room and by the opened window, where the party from downstairs was echoing. It was annoying to listen to but you were still grateful that you were spending time with Dallas.
“Dally, love me!” You whined out, teasingly. Dally was still laying on his bed and now he seemed to be ignoring you as well. “I swear, I’ll come over there and sit on you.” You crossed your arms over your chest.
Dally sat up and opened his arms for you. He was completely silent but that was fine with you. You got up and went to lay down on the bed beside him. You didn’t want to lay on him and get him sick. You just wanted to feel the comfort of having him around you without actually having him physically touch you.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have bothered you like that.” You whispered out as you grabbed the pillow that you were supposed to use and placed it in between the two of you.
Dallas let out a sigh as he rubbed his eyes for a second. “No worries, darlin’. Go to sleep.” He threw one of his arms over you and pulled you to his chest. You weren’t tired but you also didn’t want to listen to the party going on downstairs.
You let out a sigh as you begrudgingly agreed to go to sleep with your boyfriend. Unfortunately, it was easier said than done. You couldn’t actually manage to fall asleep and you were stuck feeling a little… you couldn’t find the word to describe the feeling but it made you tear up. It felt terrible.
Maybe it was just your brain clogged with being sick and having a fever. That was probably the answer to your problem. You grabbed the pillow out from between the two of you before moving to lay on your side. You wrapped your arms around the pillow and buried your face into it.
You could’ve been sad because you couldn’t party. Dally had told you when you two made it to Buck’s that you weren’t allowed to drink alcohol and that you needed to drink water. You were fine with that but he wouldn’t even let you stand in the corner of the room. You tried that and he said you looked damn sad to be standing by yourself. It didn’t matter much now that you were stuck in his arms and had no where to go.
A sudden kiss was placed on your neck as Dallas ran a hand up and down your arm. You thought he looked adorable, trying to make you happy. You let one of your hands absentmindedly move to his and felt yourself warm up with excitement.
Those feelings had started disappearing and you were far too confused to debunk them but you assumed it was that you missed the physical contact. You two hadn’t touched in damn near a week because of your lives getting in the way and now that you were together, it seemed like you still wouldn’t be able to freely touch him.
You turned back around and let the forgotten pillow stay where it was as you curled up closer to Dallas. You had plenty of medicine at your house that would supply both you and your lover if need be.
Two-Bit Matthews:
Two-Bit handed you his beer as he looked back at the tv. You took a sip of his disgustingly cold beer and handed it back to him. “Thank you,” you croaked as you tried to hold your cough back.
You were laying on the couch on your side with your knees slightly bent, which put you in an awkward angle where Two-Bit’s head was resting on your knee. You so badly wanted to change positions so you could get more comfortable but you didn’t want to hurt the man who most definitely wasn’t sober.
“Why can’t you sit on the couch with me?” You suddenly asked as you propped yourself up on one of your elbows. Two-Bit just looked at you as if you had asked him something bizarre. “What?” You titled your head as your confusion became noticeable.
“I don’t know.” Was the only answer you received from your boyfriend. He had finished the beer and fortunately, had stood up. Maybe someone was finally looking down on you and was giving you mercy. You sat up quickly and pulled your legs under your body. You couldn’t imagine laying in the same position for longer than you already had.
You let out a sigh as your throat started itching again. You stood up and got a glass of water to help the pain for a little bit as Two-Bit yelled for you to grab him another beer. You let out a sigh as a small smile appeared on your face. You weren’t the luckiest in your love life but you felt like you really got lucky with Two-Bit.
He may have been… eccentric to you as you were middle class and were raised differently but you still enjoyed your time with him. He was completely different from the boys you were forced to be stuck with twenty-four seven. It wasn’t in the way that they didn’t act alike but it was how you felt about him. You’d never had feelings so strong for someone.
Two-Bit yelled your name again, this time sounding confused. You opened the fridge and pulled out one of his beers. “Coming!” You called back quickly as you hurried back to the living room.
When you got in there, he was sitting on the couch with a blanket on his lap. You felt excitement build as you ran over to the couch and handed him the beer. He hadn’t said it aloud but he had given you permission to cuddle with him while sick which is something he rarely ever did. You hopped onto the couch beside him and looked at him for a moment.
You wanted to give him another chance to back out before committing to cuddling. Two-Bit just held his arm out and you climbed onto his lap and wrapped your arms around his neck. Two-Bit twisted the cap off of his beer and tossed it onto the table beside the couch as you got comfortable. You weren’t in a lot of physical pain other than your sore throat but the comfort of being held by your boyfriend made the sore throat feel like it wasn’t nearly as bad as it was.
“Oh, you’re so sweet to me!” You cooed gently as you nuzzled into him. Two-Bit patted your back gently before kissing the top of your head. You heard the tv playing in the background and just smiled as you felt a sense of calmness consume you.
You closed your eyes and hoped to fall asleep soon.

And I hope that your weekend is amazing and you enjoy it! ↰
Darry Curtis:
You sobbed silently in the bathroom. Darry was in the room beside you and you didn’t want to bother him or make him feel bad for the things he did/didn’t do. You knew Darry would automatically blame himself for everything you were currently going through and you didn’t want that.
After a while, you felt your tears begin to dry but you sat still until you knew that the redness had left from your eyes. If Darry asked about your sniffling, you’d tell him that you were feeling sick. You didn’t want him to worry about such small things when he had his brothers and the gang to worry about.
You left the bathroom and went to lay down with Darry. The overwhelming stress seemed to spill out of your body once more as you felt tears build again. Darry lazily wrapped his arms around you and planted a kiss to the back of your head. You looked at the arms thrown around you and took a sharp breath in. You wouldn’t accept crying in front of Darry. He wouldn’t make fun of you but he would try to take responsibility for it. You didn’t need that on top of the stress you were getting from being a waitress and having creepy old men hit on you while also going to college.
Darry made sure you knew he was very proud of you but that didn’t stop the stress from slowly building within and expressing itself in unhealthy ways. You would stay out a little later with a friend or two drinking or you’d ditch college or your job for your mental health. Nothing seemed to matter to you anymore and your life goals disappeared within mere seconds. You were beginning to go back into the same slump you were in when you were in high school. You cringed at the thought but continued to lay completely still. You didn’t want to wake Darry with you being overly sensitive about life. That’s what you were crying over. Life.
Everyone experienced what you were currently going through. Why should it matter if you, a single person, was going through something that felt debilitating? Something that held you down and prevented you from completing college and doing good at your job. Finally, you let a few more tears fall. Once it started, it didn’t stop like before. More tears began falling and you laid in your boyfriend’s arms, silently sobbing.
Darry stirred beside you and tightened his arm around your waist. “Are you crying?” He muttered out and you immediately denied the claims he made.
“No, darling. Go back to sleep. You have work tomorrow.” You wrapped you arms around Darry’s that rested against your stomach. Your back was pressed tightly against him and he kissed the top of your head gently.
“I know you are. Why don’t you tell me when you need help? I don’t care if it’s money or physical or emotional. Tell me next time.” He muttered out in that groggy voice of his and you simply nodded your head. You brought Darry’s arms up and you began to sob a little louder, feeling slightly more comforted by the fact that your burly boyfriend was behind you. You knew he wouldn’t let anything happen to you.
“I’m sorry. You have to take care of your two kid brothers and you don’t need me being whiny because I can’t control my emotions.” You whispered out as you laid in place once more. You didn’t dare move.
“I’m here for you though because I’m yours. If you wanna cry, go right on ahead. I’m not stopping you but I also ain’t goin’ to let you cry by yourself.” Darry left his arms in the position you had put them, instead intertwining your legs together.
Sodapop Curtis:
You helped Maryann with the math problem she was working on. She was growing visibly frustrated and had been making snide remarks to you. You thought about getting up and leaving but you promised you would help her so you didn’t. Maryann looked up at you after you had mentioned she done something wrong, “How come you can point out my fucking mistakes but can’t point out your own?” That usually wouldn’t bother you mostly because you just weren’t bothered but you finally looked back at Maryann with tears filling your eyes.
“Don’t come ask me for help again. Maybe Ponyboy would be a better option or a stranger. I don’t care but don’t ask me again.” You stood from the chair and began walking away. Within a matter of minutes, Jane came running towards you.
“Can you help me? I lost my purse.” So, you spent the next thirty minutes of your life helping her look for her purse. You couldn’t leave a friend in need alone to find something. “Thank you, R/n.” Her words were spoken too late as you had already left to find Soda. Today had been a horrible day for you and it went far past the two previous events. Early that morning, you’d received a call saying that you needed to work an earlier shift as Ruth had left with little to no explanation. You had gone in and then the rest of your coworkers had left. That may not seem like much to others but to you, it was more than just people being lazy. You were always the one who got the most work thrown onto her shoulders. God forbid you tried to politely decline helping someone. The guilt of other people’s expectations would crush you. The DX was nearing in the distance and you sped up, hoping to catch Soda and Steve. They’d know how to make your day better.
You managed to open the door of the store without anyone asking you for something. Soda smiled and perked up as you walked into the store. “Soda, is your shift almost over?” Soda jumped over the counter with a grin and nodded while fixing his hat lazily.
“Good. Come on.” You grabbed his wrist and began pulling him away from the store. The two of you arrived at your house which was only because you didn’t want his brothers or friends to bother you for the time being. Without another word, you pushed him onto the couch and threw yourself down beside him. “I can’t do this anymore! Why does everyone come to me without even saying a simple ‘thank you’? Only Jane does it and maybe Ponyboy but no one else says it when they should. I’ve helped everyone in this godforsaken town out and not a damn one seems grateful.” You couldn’t register the words before allowing them to spew out, which led to your current situation. You were fearful that you hurt Soda’s feelings as you cared deeply for him and didn’t want him to feel hurt or unloved because you were in a bad mood. “I’m sorry. I took you away from a job that you NEED and then fussed about my life. I’m sorry.” You apologized multiple times and tried to make up for the attitude you had.
Soda laughed it off though and gave you a pat on your shoulder. “It’s fine, sweetheart. You wanna talk about it some more?” You leaned against him and let out an ugly sob. You hugged him tightly and tightened your grip on him. Sniffles left you just as rapidly as your tears wet Soda’s shirt.
“I don’t know.” You whispered out as you continued to sob loudly. Soda kept his arms wrapped tightly around you, refusing to let go until you dried your tears. It took a while, but Soda sat with you until you were done crying.
Ponyboy Curtis:
Your parents were still arguing, mostly about your grades and anything else they could think of that you’d done wrong. You had failed biology with a D but you didn’t think it was that bad. All your other grades were amazing. You laid limply in the bed without many thoughts going through your head other than your failures. All of the things you could’ve done differently to fix the issue before it became an issue. You got out of bed and locked your door. The phone in the corner of your room called to you as the urge to phone Ponyboy appeared.
You soon gave into the urge, picking the f/c phone up. You dialed his number almost immediately and lifted the phone up to your ear, patiently waiting. When you finally received an answer, it was Soda’s voice. “Hey, can you tell Ponyboy that he’s needed?” You murmured softly into the phone. You didn’t want your parents to walk by and accidentally overhear you planning your nighttime escape.
“Uh yeah. Hold for just a second.” Soda began yelling for the youngest Curtis. You waited until the phone was passed and began talking almost instantly.
“Pony, come get me. I just need to be with someone right now. I can’t stay here though. Please come get me.” You hated begging but knew that he would come get you if you begged. Hell, he most likely would’ve instantly came if you mentioned you needed help picking an empty box up.
You heard Ponyboy began shifting around before he mumbled out an ‘ok.’ You put the phone back on the receiver and made your way over to your window. You unlocked and opened it. Fortunately for you, you moved your room from the top floor to the bottom floor. You said it was because you didn’t like looking out the window and seeing the few feet off the ground but in reality, it was because you wanted to sneak out to see the gang.
You sat on the window sill until you seen Ponyboy and Johnny walking in the distance. You hopped out and closed your window almost completely, leaving only a gap the size of your hand so you could push it up. You ran towards the two boys, jumping on your lover as soon as you were close enough. You shoved your face into his jacket and kept it there for a while. He didn’t seem to mind as he rubbed your back and comforted you the best he could.
You weren’t crying because you hated crying in front of others. You had managed to hold your tears back until that point though. Once you heard Johnny walk away, presumably to smoke, you began to cry softly. Ponyboy seemed taken aback by it but continued to rub your back softly. He began walking away from your house. “Won’t Johnny be left here alone?” You whispered out in between the heavy breathes and quiet whimpers.
“He’ll be fine. He was heading back to the house. It’s the middle of December. It’s freezing out here.” Ponyboy muttered out to you as you began quietly laughing.
“I like this more than the heat though. Thank you for coming to get me.” Tears were still falling but not nearly as much as they were before.
“You’re welcome.” He muttered back out into your hair as the two of you whispered to each other until you got back to his house. Johnny and the rest of the boys were in the living room. It seemed none of them wanted to go back to their respective homes just yet. Soda let out a sigh when he seen the two of you walk in.
“Y’all want the room, don’t you?” He grumbled out as you nodded.
“We can go to that diner up the road.” You watched Steve talk with his mouth open and chocolate cake still in it.
Ponyboy slipped past all of them and took you to his and Soda’s shared room. He laid you on the bed before climbing in beside you. Your tears had long since dried but you looked over at him. “My parents were arguing about me again. Talking about my grades and all. I don’t care though. I tried and now, I don’t care.” You pushed yourself further into him and closed your eyes.
“I’m sorry. Is there anything I can do for you?” He questioned as he kissed your cheek gently.
“Just stay by me for a little bit.” You whispered back out as you curled closely to him, falling asleep and feeling better about the situation.
Johnny Cade:
You reread the notes you had scribbled messily into your notebook. Something was really starting to get to you. You couldn’t name it but the feeling in the pit of your stomach was making you antsy. You closed your notebooks when that feeling began showing itself as sadness.
Tears built up within your eyes and you pushed yourself away from the table you were sitting at. You felt the tears continue to grow rapidly and stood up. You couldn’t stay in the library while crying. You gathered your notebooks all together and ran out of the building as silently as possible. You decided to head down to Johnny’s “home.”
It was dirty but you knew that it was the only home Johnny had. He had the Curtis household along with yours to go to whenever he needed but he hated going to y’all. You were quite the opposite. You liked to go to him with your problems. It made you feel better. Though, you didn’t always go to him. You noticed Johnny wasn’t hanging around out there so you laid down on the fluffiest part of grass you could find. You knew Johnny was most likely in the Curtis household.
You put your arms under your head for a little while and waited patiently to hear Johnny or any of the boys. You finally heard Johnny and Ponyboy. You looked up at the two and put your head back down lazily. “Hey.” You gave a short wave with the hand that wasn’t laying under your head. You finally sat up and looked up at the two of them with little to no emotion showing on your face.
“Are you okay?” Johnny sat down beside you and shooed his best friend away for a second. Ponyboy walked away from the two of you while you just sat there.
“Fine.” You sniffled quietly. You weren’t full on crying. You were just… doing the opposite of crying.
“You sure don’t sound it.” Johnny laid himself down beside you. He let one of his arms wrap around you and you slowly turned over before you started to cry into his denim jacket. You were still almost silent.
“I’m tired.” You covered your own face, slightly embarrassed to be crying like a child in front of Johnny. You reminded yourself that he’s seen you in almost everyone predicament possible. Including the one where you tried to wax.
The more you thought about those funny moments with him, the more you slowly stopped crying. “No, I’m being serious. I feel overworked…? I feel so exhausted, too.” You finally admitted, openly and without shame. Johnny just let a hand run messily through your hair. He pulled you closer.
“Why don’t you take a nap? Pony won’t care if we sleep for a bit.” Johnny whispered out as he pulled you closer. You leaned against him with only your sniffles agreeing to his words.
You weren’t real big on talking after crying as you knew it would make your voice hoarser than ever. You let out a weak cough once your throat began experiencing an itchy sensation at the base. With one final sigh, you slowly fell asleep beside Johnny.
Steve Randle:
You ate another chip. Another minute passed. Tears stained your cheeks. Your throat was hurting from all the screaming you had previously done. The argument was stuck in your head. Steve was silently sitting beside you. He wasn’t even bothered with eating chocolate cake. He was simply sitting beside you. “He got real mean towards me. I couldn’t do anything.” You covered your face blindly. Tears started to fall once more.
You curled up towards yourself. Your knees came close to hitting your chest but they didn’t. “I can’t do nothing about it but, why don’t you take a nap?” Steve tried to comfort as best as he could.
“I don’t want to. I just want to cry.” You laid down on the couch you were on. The two of you were at your apartment. You had gotten it through a long drawn out process that included lots of lies. You weren’t to keen on going into it.
You grabbed another chip and ate it with a sigh. You finally let out a cough when the chip went down wrong. You covered your mouth as Steve stared at you. You didn’t want him or anyone else staring at you while you sobbed your heart out.
You moved from your curled up spot and slipped off of the couch the two of you were sitting on. You walked into the bathroom and covered your face. You were embarrassed and were now tired after sobbing for so long. The bathroom door opened and Steve finally let out a sigh. “Is there anythin’ I can do to make it easier, darlin’?” Steve let one of his hands fall on your back. You slowly turned to face him before you threw yourself into his arms. Your world felt like it was falling apart so easily.
“I just want to stay here with you.” You continued sobbing before Steve kissed your head.
“I’ll stay here for as long as you need me to.”
Dallas Winston:
You knew Dally wasn’t good with emotions and tried avoiding the conversation with him. You had almost succeeded in him not realizing you were hurt and in pain. It wasn’t physical this time, no, it was only mental pain. Dally wouldn’t be able to understand where you were coming from and would automatically tell you to stop whining and fix the issue. You crossed your arms over your chest as your boyfriend sat on the bed in front of you.
“Dally, I’ve been struggling lately. I’ve been in pain and I’m so hurt and I can’t figure it out and I know you’re going to tell me to stop whining and all. But, it still hurts.” You let out a choked sob and finally climbed into the bed and closed your eyes. Your tears started to fall down your face. It was very unfortunate for you.
Dally let out a sigh from behind you and laid down to wrap his arms around you. “I can’t say I understand what’s happening but, I do know that you’ll survive. You always do.” You cried a little harder into your pillow as you listened to Dallas give his own words of strength you assumed that made him feel better when someone told him that so you accepted his weird love for you.
“I know, Dally. You don’t understand. My boss won’t leave me alone. I’m being harassed at work by boys who keep pulling on my skirts and won’t leave them alone long enough for me to move on to the next customer without having to fix my skirt.” You shoved your face fully into the pillow and felt Dally wrap his hand around your own.
“What if I drop by tomorrow? With Johnny and Pony.” Dally pulled you against his body so that your back rested against his chest comfortably.
“That would be amazing if it meant that you would keep them away. They won’t leave me alone and my boss refuses to keep them away from me.” Dally finally planted a kiss on your neck before he let you grab his arms and move him however you want. He didn’t want to voice his opinion or anything as he knew that would make you distance yourself further from him.
He silently held you for as long as you wanted and needed. He wouldn’t ever say anything aloud but he knew that you understood his physical gestures.
You were comfortable with his gestures as your emotions slowly calmed down. You curled around him and finally the two of you fell asleep with a specific calmness that you two only got with each other.
Two-Bit Matthews:
He was drinking and watching Mickey Mouse again. You were wiping tears away while also laughing at what was happening in front of you. Two-bit was full on drunk and was arguing with you. “You’re not my girlfriend.” He frowned as he swatted at you once more. You let out a gasp when his hand made contact with your thigh.
“I am your girlfriend, Two.” You crossed your arms over your chest and let out a sigh. Two looked up at your face and finally let out a sigh.
“No, I don’t see it. R/n is my girl. Not you.” Two’s head laid back on the couch as his eyes closed.
Earlier in the day, you had almost fist fought your mom over Two. So, you were now trying to cuddle with your drunk boyfriend.
“I’m not playing. Just let me cuddle with you.” You tried to hug him one last time before he scoffed and pushed you away. You sat down on the couch and you finally closed your eyes and let yourself drift off into a dreamless sleep.
* * * *
Two shook you and you sat up with a gasp. “Do you remember what happened last night?” Was the first question that left your mouth.
Two shook his head slowly. “No, I don’t.” He rubbed the back of his neck as you started laughing.
“You told me I wasn’t your girlfriend when I needed comfort.” You wrapped your arms around him before pouting slowly. Finally, Two realized what you said.
“What happened?” Two-bit sat beside you on the couch and pulled you into his lap.
“Don’t worry about it. I was just joking with you.” You weren’t but, you didn’t want him to worry so much about you. He cared for you so much that if you wanted, he would probably cook and clean for you.
You kissed him and the two of you sat there for a while, understanding that you both were okay so long as you were together.

I love this one so much!:) It deserves so much love🥹
Can you write about Johnny Castle (Dirty Dancing) with a girlfriend who’s jealous of Baby please? Like she distances herself from Johnny because she feels as if he is falling in love with Baby when in reality they’re just friends. I love angst ngl😭 And thank you for reading this:)
This is pretty bad bc I haven't really written angst 😭 but here you go
This is a place where I don't feel alone
This is a place where I feel at home
Y/N POV
Johnny was the most loving and caring person imaginable. We never let our dance partners get between us. I never let the guys in and he never let the girls in. But ever since I got back from my trips and my performances it feels different. She had everything I didn't and she was beautiful and young. Sure, she was only a year younger than me but it just felt like she was ages younger than me. Just youthful and perfect and...I don't know. This feeling of slight betrayal started the day I walked in on them practicing in the studio. She seemed like she could keep her hands off him and he seemed as if his hands were like magnets and she was a smooth piece of metal. They didn't hear me open the door or see me. So I went right back out. I didn't tell Johnny what I saw and I didn't address it to him. I knew if I had a worry I could come to him but it felt different this time. I would still spend my nights with him, lying in his bed as he slept, looking at the ceiling and wondering if I was good enough. What is he wanted her instead? It always felt like he was spending every hour with her. I got no time with him and when he got back to the cabin he was always tired. I guess I was a little jealous of her because she had all his time and she go all of the touch that I craved. And everybody else has left me minus him. I never ever felt like I was good enough for him and this didn't help. What if this was the time that he realized I wasn't enough and he left like everybody else did? He was this big star and I was just this small dancer who few knew about. I mostly did tap and slow partner dances like Johnny did all the time.
"I have to go to the studio today ok?" Johnny said as he stood up to stretch after he woke up. I rolled over to look at him and put on a fake smile.
"Ok"
"You ok? You seem like you haven't been sleepin' well these past few days" He says in his beautiful, deep voice.
"Um..yea. I-I guess it's a little bit of jet lag" I lie. What was really happening is that horrible thoughts would run through my head every night and I would have small nightmares about Johnny leaving.
"Ok Y/n" he says walking across the room to the chair holding his black hoodie and his duffel bag.
"I think I'm gonna visit Penny today." I say softly and he walks back to the side of the bed and sits down.
"Yea?" he asks, grabbing a pair of worn sneakers and putting them on
"Yea. She deserves it. Oh and God, what happened to her is just horrible. I feel so bad about what happened. And knowing what that other doctor could have done....God. I know you two are close, and I know you're upset that you can't do the end of summer dance with her" I say sitting up and resting my head on his shoulder. He looks at me and then back out the window.
"Are you mad at me?" I ask worried.
"Of course not baby! Why would I be mad?" he asks looking in my eyes
"I-I don't know." I say. I don't know exactly why, but I felt tear prick my eyes. He pecks my lips and stands up.
"I'll see you this afternoon ok?" He says leaning over my body what was now lying back down.
"I don't want you to go..." I say, reaching for his hand and linking our pointer fingers together. He slowly pulls away
"I have to. You know that if I could do the end of summer dance with you I would"
"I already know most of it!"
"Show me then" he says with a teasing smirk
"I'm too tired" I say. He chuckles a little and walks to the door. He walks out shutting it softly behind him. My fake smile falls of my face immediately after he walks away from the cabin. I loved him I really, really did...but everything felt different. Like he didn't love me anymore. Like he wanted to be way from me. So I'll give him what he wants. I'll stay away from him...
"Hi Penny" I say softly as I enter her cabin.
"Y/n!!?" she says as a smile breaks onto her face.
"How are you? How do you feel? Johnny told me what happened. I'm so so sorry you had to go through that." I ramble as I sit in the chair beside her bed.
"I feel lots better. I'll be out of bed tomorrow, the doctor said. Otherwise I've been fine. I'm a little disappointed I won't do the end of summer dance with Johnny though"
"Yea...you guys always have the best performances" I say smiling quickly, and then looking down at my legs. They were friends before I met Johnny but from everything that happened to me....I still get scared. I think Penny sensed that.
"He's not leaving you. Ever. When you guys met he came to me to ask me how he should ask you out. He's so in love sweetheart. He would spend practices talking about you...I had to shut him up all the time!!" Penny expresses.
"I'm just worried...He hasn't said 'I love you' since I got back."
"Please don't tell him Penny....I swear I'll tell him how I feel." I add on
"I wouldn't do that to you hun" she says.
"I'm so sorry, but I have to go. I'll visit tomorrow ok?" I say
"Ok...I'll see you then" she says with and excited smile on her face
TIME SKIP TO A WEEK LATER - MONDAY
It's late-ish, and I was sitting in my bed journaling when I heard a knock on my door. There's only about 4 people that would come to my door, so I didn't bother who it is.
"Come it!" I shout
"Hey Penny!" I say as she walks in my door. I close my journal and put my pen down. I was sitting criss-cross (apple sauce) on my bed. I pat a spot beside me and she sits.
"Johnny's worried....you haven't talked to him in a week and he's halted his practices with Baby." Penny says looking down at her feet. I sit there silent.
"Why did he stop practicing?"
"Because he thought you'd come back. Y/n he needs you. He asks me every day if I've heard from you, if your mad, if you hate him, if you hate Baby....just try and talk to him"
"I'm no good Penny!! I don't understand why he needs me, why he loves me..."
"Because you stayed. He went all over the country and you went with him. Because you never left. Everyone left him, but not you."
"You didn't leave" I say looking at her. She looks back at me and smiles
"He wants you not me...don't make this about me sweets. Just go visit him" She says
"Fine...I'll see him." I say. I stand up and grab my shoes putting them on before walking out the door. I look back at Penny with a pout
"Go!" She whisper shouts. I walk out the door and softly close it behind me. I take a deep breath before walking to Johnny's cabin. I get there quickly. Once I reach Johnny's house I start panicking. What if he yells? What if he says we're done? What if he slams the door in my face? I start to fidget with my fingers. I take deep breaths and after about three minutes of panicking that almost brought me to tears, I knock on the door. Johnny opens the door with out really looking at me. He lifts his head to look at me. His eyes are red and puffy and his nose is red. He pulls me into a tight hug, slowly walking backwards into to cabin. He shuts the door and rocks me side to side. I slowly and hesitantly wrap my arms around his body. I feel his tears drop onto my hair...
"Why did you leave? Why did you leave...I need you...you can't leave." he whispers. I didn't respond. I wasn't sure if he wanted me to.
"I missed you so much, I-I couldn't sleep. My bed felt so empty" he whispers as he sniffles. I look up at his eyes with tears in mine
"Why did you go?" He asks again, looking in my eyes with his teary ones.
"Because I though you would be better off without me. You...you seemed like you wanted her." Johnny looks at me with disbelief. His brows furrow with sadness.
"Never! I would never ever leave you! She's just a dance partner...maybe a friend but she is nothing compared to you. You're my world. Y-you're my everything Y/n. Why why why would you think I would leave you for her!?" Johnny says, with his hands cupping my cheeks.
"Because she's so perfect! She has beautiful eyes and beautiful hair and a wonderful body. She just looks so much younger." I say as tears trickle down my cheeks and hit Johnny's hands.
"Come here" He says as he grabs my hand and walks me over to the mirror. He stands behind me and wraps his arms around my waist, and puts his head on my shoulder. He turns his head and leaves a light kiss on my neck, making me giggle. His arms depart from my waist and he moves his head away from my shoulder.
"I love this" he says, petting my hair, and kissing my head.
"I love these too" he says, pointing to my eyes. He walks so he's in front of me, but when he points something out he moves so I can see myself in the mirror.
"I love these" he says, kissing my lips softly. He moves so I can see myself.
"I love this" he says, placing kisses all on my collar bone. He moves again so I can see.
"I love this" he says, getting on his knees and kissing my stomach. I giggle at the sight, and the ticklish feeling.
"Oh god and I love love love! these" he says lying multiple kisses on my bare thighs. He stands back up and looks in my eyes.
"I. Love. You. I love how caring you are, I love your cuddles and your kisses, I love how you laugh, I love your smile, I love how sympathetic and understanding you are, I love you. And I couldn't stop to save my life." He says the last part with an airy chuckle.
"I lov-" I get cut off by a finger pressed against my lips.
"This is about you not me ok? I appreciate you trying" He says with a jokey smile.
"But I wanna tell you how much I love you" I say with a pout.
"Fine" he says
"I love how you dance, I love your hugs and cuddles and kisses, I love to see you smile because it's so rare that you do, I love how when you laugh you look down to hide how red your face gets, I love how caring you are and how you get worried over small things...I love that a lot actually...um... I love how tall you are, because when we hug my head can be on your chest....I love you. And I won't stop. I'm sorry I stopped talking to you. But I'm happy we worked it out" I say going on my toes to kiss his pretty lips.
"You dance amazingly by the way" he says. I smile at him
"I'm tired" I say.
"Gosh me too. I'm so happy that my bed won't be so empty now." he says.
"Me too...I'll admit my bed felt pretty empty too" I say walking a few feet from him so I could undress. I take off my shirt and shorts and Johnny takes off his shirt and jeans. I walk back over to him and place a hand on his chest. I pull his head down so I can kiss him. We make out for a few minutes then pull away for air.
"I love you" he says. He walks over to the bed and lies down on it before lifting the blanket over his beautiful body. I stand there like an idiot, just looking at him.
"Come here" he says softly. I walk over to my side of the bed and get cozy under the sheets. I scoot closer to him and put my head against his chest. His strong arms wrap snugly around my waist.
"I love you more than anything else, and I'm not going anywhere. You stayed with me...you always did. And in return I'm going to stick with you no matter what because after everything that has happened to you...you deserve it." he says before kissing my head.
"I love you too" I mumble tiredly. I soon drift to sleep, safe in my lovely boyfriend's arms again.

Darry Curtis:
You whimpered as another dull ache spread throughout your lower abdomen. Your thighs were beginning to feel sore and your lower back was killing you. You didn’t want to bother anyone though so you kept your head down and kept your whimpers as quiet as possible.
There was no pads or anything really. No medicine. No nothing so you were stuck with toilet paper in your panties until the cramps went away. You gritted your teeth and moved to lay on your back on the bed. You couldn’t tell whether these cramps were the worst you’d experienced as of late or if you simply couldn’t remember any periods before this.
It was eight at night so Darry should have been home by now. You looked up at the clock and waited to hear his boots coming onto the porch. He could take a quick bath and then come cuddle with you. His warmth would really help especially since you could force him to message your lower abdomen.
The front door opened and you heard Darry’s thudding boots hit the floor with each step. He went into the bathroom but quickly came back out. “Who’s bleeding? Did those socs get after y’all again?” You looked down embarrassed, knowing he had most likely seen some of the bloody tissue. You didn’t want him to though. You wrapped them all multiple times. Another wave of cramps hit as they came back to back. One after another. You closed your eyes and bit into the blanket.
Why were women expected to go through this every month again? Who decided this should’ve been a thing? You were cursing anything and everything in that moment as you heard the bedroom door open. Darry looked at you before realizing, his eyes softening a great deal. He gave you a gentle smile, “Can you wait for a second? I need to go take a bath but I’ll be out soon and I got enough money to buy you whatever you need.” He watched you nod and walked out of the room with a smile gracing his face. You let out a curse under your breath before rolling around on the bed. You were hoping to find the position that eased the pain the most.
With one more roll and a weird angle, you found the perfect position. You closed your eyes and let out a breath before patiently waiting for Darry to come out of the bathroom. Five or so minutes later, Darry came walking in with just a towel on. “What store do you usually go to? Do you know what you want to get to snack on?” Darry had dropped the towel and was cleaning everything up. He started putting his clothes on before coming to pick you up. “You don’t need to walk. Get comfortable and point to what you want.” He muttered out into your hair softly. You smiled as the pain picked back up. Even though you really wanted to kill him for moving you, you couldn’t bring yourself to actually say or do anything hurtful to him. He was trying his best for someone who had never had a period before.
Sodapop Curtis:
You walked circles around the DX, looking at the snacks and drinks. You grabbed a water and a few pieces of candy. You’d already taken something for the cramps but they weren’t going away.
You walked up to the counter and threw your things up there. Soda looked you up and down before noticing the black pants. You rarely wore black pants and when you did, it signified that time of the month. You gave Steve a dirty look as he ran behind Soda. For some reason, his voice really pissed you off.
Soda told you what you owed before he pulled change out of his pocket. “You okay? I’ll kick Ponyboy from the room back home if you wanna come back.” Soda’s calming voice always managed to sooth you though this time, you still felt a great deal of anger.
“I’m fine. Why does it matter anyways? Can’t you just ring me up and give me my snacks back?!?” Before Soda could say anything else, you had burst into tears. Steve had come out of the back to check on the girl crying and slowly went back the way he came when he noticed it was you.
You didn’t like Steve one bit when you were on your period. Maybe it was because of the times where he’d stolen your chocolate cake or maybe his ego annoyed you but whatever it was, he learned from last time not to bother you.
Soda jumped over the counter and slung an arm around your shoulder. He planted a kiss on your temple and rubbed your back for a little bit, letting you push your body weight against him. To you, it felt comfortable being pressed against him. His body heat also made you feel a lot better. Steve’s head peeked around the corner before he began mouthing to Soda about him just staying with you until you calmed down.
Soda brought you with him to sit down, cradling you carefully on his lap. You were going through a lot and he knew any man would do the same thing had you gone to them instead. He began leaving kisses all over your face and even kissed the top of your head in an effort to make you smile. You hid your little smile in Soda’s neck.
One of his hands came down to rub your lower back, remembering all the times you would complain about the pain. Soda tried, he really did. Even if it didn’t seem like much to others, it meant the world to you.
Ponyboy Curtis:
You began writing the notes down quickly, hoping to finish up with biology. It was a class you despised more than Bob which that statement alone spoke volumes. As you finally set your pen down, with your hand cramping up, you realized there was a slight pain in your abdomen. Of course, you waved it off at first as being hungry.
You also knew if you couldn’t see it then it wasn’t there but when the pain began to worsen, you knew you needed to go to the restroom. Ponyboy was sitting beside you, reading a book since he’d long been done with what you all were supposed to do.
You reached a hand out and gently tugged on his jacket sleeve. He marked the page he was on before looking at you with a gentleness that calmed you down. “Can you come to the bathroom with me? I need to do something.” Your teacher was surprisingly lenient and would allow you to use the restroom without even asking. So both you and Ponyboy stood up. With you leading, it most likely looked like something it shouldn’t have.
You scampered down the hallways in a panic to find your locker once you felt gravity do it’s job. Ponyboy was still as confused as ever as he mindlessly followed behind you like an innocent puppy. Before long, you’d found your locker and opened it to reveal your sanitary products. Ponyboy’s face went from one of confusion to realization.
“Baby..” He started as he reached a hand out for you to grab. He let you hold onto him to the trip to the bathroom, comfortingly whispering sweet nothings to you while also physically showing affection.
You had a hard time every month as the cramps and fatigue would usually get the best of you. That was okay though as you had your lovely boyfriend to get you whatever you needed.
Ponyboy placed a kiss on your head as you separated from him to go into the bathroom. He waited outside and once you got out, wrapped his arms around you.
You laid against him for a few minutes, almost falling asleep standing up. Ponyboy sighed from above you, wanting to take you home and comfort you in the best ways he possibly could. Unfortunately, the two of you still had three hours of school left. Fortunately, you two had all the same classes so Ponyboy could sit with you and comfort you every chance given to him.
Johnny Cade:
You called the Curtis household, asking for Johnny. He responded almost immediately, telling you he would be over soon enough. You set out snacks and anything else you could think of in that moment as you knew Johnny most likely hadn’t eaten all that much.
When he knocked on your door, you couldn’t have been happier. All you wanted was to lay down and cuddle. For some reason, you’d gotten really physically affectionate with him and it made him skeptical. Why would you wanna cuddle unless you did something wrong? That thought process wasn’t healthy but it was how Johnny survived. Everyone must do something to fuck him up.
“Johnny, please come lay down with me.” You whined as you wrapped your arms around his waist. Those negative thoughts faded as he realized he was thinking about you. The girl who almost physically fist fought her parents when they told her she had to break up with him. The girl who chased Bob and Randy away when they tried to tease Johnny for being a greaser. You couldn’t have done anything bad. Not in Johnny’s eyes anyway.
“Okay.” The way Johnny’s voice broke made you give him a seductive grin before you realized you couldn’t do anything with him as you were in the middle of your period. Lucky for you, you only had about two or three days left.
Johnny followed you to your living room where you had a fort set up on the couch. Blankets were everywhere and a soap opera played on the tv. There was no reason for it to be as sad as it was but it mattered none the less to you. You loved watching or reading heart wrenching things.
You sat down on the couch and pulled Johnny down with you. Your giggles made Johnny’s day. They were so very sweet and innocent sounding. If a stranger heard it, they’d think you were excited and happy. Johnny knew the difference between a happy giggle and a mischievous one. It still made his day for him to hear you happy though especially when your period came around. You used to be embarrassed about it and tried to hide it as best as you could from Johnny but he figured out what you was doing during the week you avoided anything sexual. Not that Johnny minded. He’d have a week to simply coddle you and show you how much he loved you without having to take any clothes off.
It wasn’t like Johnny was a Dallas in the making. Instead, the two of you were genuinely intimate with one another. That’s what made your relationship work so well. You truly cared for one another.
Johnny laid down beside you and pushed his face into your neck. When you first met him, you were surprised to learn that he could stand up for himself and you if he had to. You found it kind of scary to see him pull a switchblade on someone but you also found it endearing, oddly enough.
You felt his arms snake around your waist and you let one of your hands slide down to intertwine with one of the hand’s on your waist. Your smile never ceased a bit throughout the entire ordeal.
Soon enough, Johnny’s breaths were even. You realized he hadn’t spoken more than one word yet you felt loved and comfortable in that moment.
You continued to smile until a random cramp attacked and you remembered why you wanted him to come over so badly.
Steve Randle:
You cuddled into Steve with a frown on your face. “Just give me a bite and stop being so greedy.” You huffed as Steve finally lifted his fork to share some of his chocolate cake. You grinned and nuzzled closer to him.
He had an arm around you, gripping you tightly and was eating with his free hand. You were surprised to see that he could do that as when you tried, you usually fucked up whatever you had going on.
Your loving boyfriend stayed with you while the rest of the gang went out. Darry was working, Sodapop was off for the day, Ponyboy wanted to watch a movie and so did Johnny. Two-bit and Dally decided they didn’t have anything better to do and went with. You told Steve that he could go with them but he claimed that you needed him more than they did.
Which lead to you almost laying in his lap and the two of you arguing over the chocolate cake that sat beside him. “You’re so pretty, ya know that?” Steve suddenly muttered as he looked at you.
“Oh, don’t you dare. We both know that won’t stop me from getting more of the cake. Besides, I’m bleeding out right now so just give me the cake.” Steve pondered for a moment before finally giving you another bite. You made sure to bat your eyelashes at him as you knew he would give in almost immediately.
You pushed yourself further onto Steve’s lap and shoved your face into his neck. He smelt like car oil and something else. You couldn’t quite identify it but it was your newest favorite smell. Everything about Steve drove you mad. Especially now that sex was off the table for a week.
Well, more like it was off the table for him. Steve was perfectly fine with diving into it like you weren’t rapidly losing blood from that area. “It’ll get better. It always does, baby.” He pressed a quick kiss to your head. You curled in closer to him. Everything about him made you feel so very safe. You didn’t think you’d be able to survive without him especially since Bob and Randy had been staring at you like you were their next snack the last few days.
Steve had found you multiple times curled in the corner of the DX, breathing heavy and holding yourself. It made Steve more protective. On top of that, he just hated seeing you in extreme pain. He hated that he couldn’t fix what you were currently going through. He’d do whatever you’d want him to do if it eases the pain you felt.
Dallas Winston:
Dally watched as you sobbed on the bed. You couldn’t get diagnosed with anything but the pain you were feeling were horrible. It had been ten or twelve hours since you started your period and it still felt just as bad as it had when it first started.
Dally was confused and genuinely didn’t know what to do. He wanted to help you but he didn’t grow up with any girls so he didn’t know what to do. He offered you water and you almost lunged at him. You had to remind yourself that it wasn’t his fault. He was just a little clueless about feminine issues.
Dally sat down beside you, shrugging his leather jacket off and setting it down on your hunched over body. You let out another pained sob and Dally finally stood up and left the room. He would call Soda or Darry. They’d know what to do with a woman in pain. Dally never witnessed you in extreme pain as you usually avoided him whenever your period came around. You didn’t know if he would react childishly or not and you didn’t want to find out either.
As it seems, Dally never made fun of you. If anything, he’s been in as much emotional distress as you were in physical pain. Dally grabbed the phone and called the Curtis household, impatiently waiting for someone to answer.
Darry’s tired voice came through the phone. Dallas immediately began explaining his situation and Darry gave him some advice about what to do. Dallas was quick to hang the phone up and get back to you. You were sleeping in an awkward position, tear stains on your face.
Dallas sat on the bed beside you, stroking your face. Maybe some sleep would do you good. Dallas looked around for a second, trying to see if anyone was nearby.
He leaned down and whispered a quick “I love you,” and pressed a quick kiss to the top of your head. You subconsciously curled closer into his leather jacket, forcing a smirk out of your boyfriend.
You were the cutest.
Two-Bit Mathews:
Two-Bit sat on the floor with an arm thrown over your shoulder. He had a beer in his left hand while his right hand gently played with your hair. You were close to crying for no particular reason other than you felt like you wanted to cry.
Two-Bit wasn’t paying a lot of attention to you. He wasn’t hearing everything you were saying and you were repeating words over and over. You finally smacked Two-Bit’s shoulders.
He turned to look at you with a bewildered look covering his face. “What’d I do?” You gave him a dirty look.
“You’re ignoring me again. Why?” You finally glared at him. You elbowed him in the ribs gently. You couldn’t blame Two-Bit as you were the one to ask his alcoholic ass out. You finally laid your head on his shoulder.
“I’m not?” He muttered out as he finally brought you closer to him. He kissed your head and made sure to remind himself that you’re just probably in pain or maybe you were just a little emotional. He knew what time of the month it was and told himself you’d be fine. Besides, he tracked your period too. He knew that you only had about a day left. Unfortunately, you got random pain throughout the entire five days of your period.
You slowly grabbed his beer from his hand and sat it down beside the two of you. You were a huge cuddle bug when you weren’t on your period but being on it caused you to become almost inseparable with Two-Bit.
Two-Bit didn’t mind much. He enjoyed the way you stuck to him like glue. The two of you weren’t very touchy feely but you both had your times where you were completely involved with each other.
Two-Bit would aimlessly follow you, a beer close by along with watching Mickey Mouse if there was a tv. You got off of Two-Bit as the door opened and sat down above him on the couch. Ponyboy and Johnny came in, looking at the two of you and then went to the kitchen.
Two-Bit sighed and grabbed your legs, setting them on his shoulders. He reached a hand up, offering you his beer. You took a sip before handing Two-Bit his beer back.
He looked up at you for a mere second and you caught his eyes and gave him a gentle smirk. “I want something to eat.” You batted your eyelashes again before frowning at your boyfriend.
Finally, you gave a small smile as you remembered that Two-Bit was yours and even if he was a bit stupid, you still loved him dearly.
