The reason why Milkvans always say Mike and El have been "built up" for FOUR SEASONS or they've "been together" for FOUR SEASONS is because they can't defend them in Season 4.

Because judging by the MOST RECENT SEASON, Byler is on the rise and Milkvan is in decline.

Will got put a soteria on his neck in season 1, likely.

Will is awake. This is important. This is explicitly shown to us.

Joyce is (rightfully) freaking out because Will isn’t breathing until he finally does, and not only does he breath, but he also wakes up with a gasp and sits up. Eyes open, coughing. He’s not just alive and breathing, he’s also awake and moving.

The next scene with him, however, he’s sleep/passed out.

He quickly wakes up and asks where he was (so it’s possible he passed out before they got out of the ud into the hospital, or he doesn’t remember the journey towards there). It’s such a small thing, a stupid thing, there’s so many things going on with his body and mind rn, how is he gonna remember?

But it’s funny how waking up is immediately associated with no memory.

It was on purpose. It was a medically-induced sleep.

See it here, they showed they were able to medically-induce someone into passing out/sleeping in s2. And they did it. On Will.

And we know they most likely also did the same thing to Henry

Why? Good question.

I think it was for two reasons. One, maybe to erase some of Will’s memories of the ud (he was dangerous, he could go around talking about it), and two, to put a soteria on him (cause they knew he had powers).

Whatever it is he feels on his neck, that didn’t appear with the possession, he feels it since the start of s2 and it continues even after the possession (however, it’s not a side effect of it. He feels it BEFORE being possessed)

So if it’s a soteria (and it is) then when did they put it on him?

Well, isn’t just after the upside down ideal? Many things going on, Will almost dying and needing medical care, they just needed to take him away to check on him and just like they put the catheter on his nose they could have as easily put the soteria on his neck.

(I don’t buy that Will was in the hospital at the end of s1. You think the lab let him? He needed medical care because of the ud, no normal hospital can take care of that. After all, the lab refused to let him into a normal hospital in s2. The doctors would be suspicious, things wouldn’t make sense. I don’t believe it, he likely was in the lab’s hands before he arrived to the actual hospital)

More Loverslakegate Proof from S4

Okay so so so I was rewatching S4 but skipping to all the byler scenes (so real of me) and I may have just seen another fucking loverslakegate proof. Like the proof is overwhelming to me atp.

We've already gotten Will and Mike being drenched in water (the only ones), specifically Mike in the teaser and Will in that bts post where you can't see who the other person's name is on the chair. Noah liking that tiktok which isn't even an edit, just a theory. Water safety experts being listed as credit for S5 E5 (the season number and episode number parallels!) Cryptic posts from the ST twitter account after S4 about being safe around water. There's a gate in Lovers Lake which literally split the heart shape in half. Robin, in S4, talks about how the gate in Lovers Lake is very specifically a 'snack sized gate', then we see in the airport scene, Mike and Will are framed in the same shot as a very large sign saying 'SNACKS' (girllll). Mike being framed with Lovers Lake as early as season 2 (with the drawings).

And now, I bring to you more strange water foreshadowing.

So we all know this scene, right? Will complaining about the government and tossing this rubber-band ball around?

Well, at the very start of the scene, like the very first Shot is of Will's rubber-band ball hitting a picture on Jonathan's wall.

You know what that picture is?

Rough water :)

Yes, I know it's the ocean, but watching this for one of the first times, it made me feel like it just has to foreshadow something, like the way it just frames it directly onto the picture as if its the scene itself?? And then the scene transitions into a Byler scene, I just can't ignore this.

And the way it pans away from the picture like you're supposed to take notice of it?? We know this doesn't foreshadow anything in S4, because there's no water there to do with byler lmao. We know that they don't just put props and posters in characters' rooms for no reason. What so Jonathan just likes water? He likes the ocean? Then why would he have a picture of such a rough ocean when he's living in California where it's hot and sunny-

Idk, all this does is foreshadow Loverslakegate. No other explanation for this otherwise unnecessary shot.

Okay so I was very excited at this point, and then I keep watching the episode, and we get to the shootout scene.

mike is the best strategist of the group and i can totally see him making a whole plan to rescue will if he gets taken by the military. that would be so amazing bc it would still show how he’s the leader and the heart, just like will said!!!

I’ve brightened the images and realized that these scenes are in different locations. It was hard to tell because it’s so dark but the one where Mike is protecting and shielding the others looks like it’s taking place in a parking lot or something. There’s white lines on the ground and the background looks different. It doesn’t look like the military base or whatever the location is with all the soldiers. I thought all this took place during the exact same scene but I really don’t think it is anymore. And if it really is different scenes/locations, I wonder what happens first.

And then we have someone who’s passed out on the ground where the soldiers are. That person is most likely Will. The ground in the scene where Will is yelling “RUN!” looks like the same color and texture as the ground that the soldiers are standing on. Ah and I’ve seen people say that there seems to be someone kneeling beside Will but I can’t really tell. He seems to be alone to me. Why would he be alone surrounded by the military though? And he can’t be alone, because in the leaked audio he’s yelling at someone (*cough* Mike *cough*), asking if they can hear him and yelling at them to run.

Ohmygod what if Will is actually captured by the military for whatever reason, like for his connection to the Upside Down/Vecna, and Mike disguises himself as a soldier to save him and get him back. We know he wears a military uniform at some point. Why? I have no idea. But imagine this is the reason! Okay okay I need to calm down lol I’m getting carried away. But hey, it’s fun theorizing. That’s part of being in a fandom for a show. There’s so many possibilities!
