Love4indie had the pleasure of being invited to try this lovely spot in Brooklyn, Taqueria De Los Muertos . As everyone knows I love Mexican food and I love brunch, so this definitely made my day! For starters the guacamole and chips are official for $7, the brunch includes tropical or traditional orange juice mimosa, coffee, tea and orange juice as well as main course as pictured:breakfast enchilada with chorizo and scrambled eggs w/mole sauce all for $12. Let's just say my taste buds and my pockets thanked me! They have other great eats I can't wait to try as well as $12 pitcher margaritas! With that being said, check it out and eat up. #love4indie

Whether some may like it or not, F.A.T. (Fabulous and Thick) is the new Plus Size Revolution. Unfortuantely the modeling world has been battling and segregated the sizes for model types. So it is good that amongst many plus websites the featured www.plus-model-mag.com provides a congradulated step toward the self esteem and beauty to plus women. With a Sea of plus size websites and fashion, it is good to see that women that are not the average size are catered to with resources that have seemed to be downplayed by society. It is a pleasure to be able to have something to identify with, that exudes beauty, esteem, and fashion for women that fall into the double digit category. Let's face it not every women is a typical model size, and all the captured fiercesness that should be on the runway, its good to see outlets that appreciate and get the bigger picture of the need to celebrate beauty for the genre of plus size women.

This past weekend #LOVE4INDIE in association with #CGP Productions LLC had the pleasure of working with a very talented designer by the way of Ivory Coast Africa, who has landed in NYC.
Since his touchdown he has expanded to Brooklyn for the upcoming #Fashionweekbrooklyn, held in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn. Norbert, also known as Akou (Fashion) has been apart of the fashion industry from Africa to Paris, France where he increased his skill set with his Sheek-Couture fashions. He learned how to sew from his mother and took off every since. He has added his talent and flavor to the fashion industry that will leave an imprint with the best. He will be featured at FASHION WEEK BROOKLYN In March. I will be an exciting venture, due to this is his first show in the United States and what better way to start off in BROOKLYN.  Looking forward to his fashion talents, and I'm sure his next journey will be at #NEWYORKFASHIONWEEK. Interview with designer Akou, coming soon!  #love4indie #CGPproductionsllc

LOVE4INDIE  had the pleasure of attending a very talented young artist first art Exhibit called "COLORED", which was held at Shell's Bistro in Harlem. Kahiem Archer's gifted abilities with his hands produce signature pieces that will make you spend your last dime to bless your house with greatness. Although he does not set out to be like any artist, he definatley can be the next Basquait. He uses great colors for his abstract ideas that hit the canvas which everyone must see. He is defiantely an addition to the art world and will leave his legacy for many that will walk in in footsteps. Although his first show, I doubt this will be his last! Support The Arts!! LOVE4INDIE was in the building to witness a historic hip-hop moment, Rakim and Raekwon represented at Stage48! Pete Rock on the wheels, the Gza made an appearance, Saadat X and Alamo of Brand Nubian where also there and nothing but good hip-hop energy! It was refreshing to be in the setting of hip-hop music as well as bond with like minded individuals that feel the same way, that this vibe is definately longed for these days! The Iron chef, Raekwon performed and handled his biz, with many classics; that will leave people lingering until the next show. The man of the hour the God Rakim blessed the mic, with all of his known classics, that had the crowd hyped and rapping along with every note to his signature cadence. It was great to see  one of hiphop's founding father emcee's on stage, and seeing Rakim live will leave you speechless! Who ever came up with the idea to put this show together, deserves a badge of merit!-love4indie

My sister came to visit NYC by the way of Brooklyn this past weekend with some of her friends, she put me on to a really great food establishment called:
Fonda Comida in the Parkslope section of Brooklyn. I love trying out new fooderies and engaging on new experiences within my city of BK! My sister found out about this place from one of her favorite musicians Kevin Devine, from Brooklyn who frequents and is one of his favorite places to eat! I must say it is now my favorite place to eat!! They make fresh Guacamole and they come with mini corn tortillas. They also have Brunch, which brought us to our visit. I love the unlimited Mimosas which you have a choice of Guava and Mango, I had a yummy Chilaquiles Rojos…Omg it was so delicious, I can taste it now! ;) Needless to say the food is exceptional with its spices and the vibe is cute and quaint. I cant wait to go back and indulge my taste buds to happiness. ThxQ sister and thank you Kevin Devine! Now I am ‘Fonda’ of this place! :) There are 2 locations Brooklyn and Manhattan. http://www.fondarestaurant.com/

This past weekend, I had the experience of taking on the Mickalene Thomas exhibit @ Brooklyn Museum. The art consisted of memorizing pieces that have been touched by exquisite hands. The colors and details are intelligently mastered as well as motivation behind the art which has channeled exceptional pieces that have a tone of soul. Like most art it takes you on an experience through the artist hands and mind.  The energy and vibe is worth the trip to find your self enchanted.
Here are a taste of pics so the experience wont be spoiled :)
The exhibit is going on until January 20 2013.
