🎆 CONGRATULATIONS JOHNNY DEPP (AGAIN)!!!🎆

It was announced yesterday (August 10), that Johnny will be honored on the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. The festival will recognize and pay tribute to his extensive career and lasting legacy on the film industry globally, spanning several decades and earning the actor numerous accolades.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is scheduled to happen late THIS MONTH, from August 20 through August 28, and will screen Johnny’s latest masterpieces which were also produced by him: the documentary “Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan” and his latest movie “Minamata”: 

“Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan” will be screened twice on August 22 at 22h and on August 27 at 14h, while “Minamata” will have an unique screening on the last day of the festival, August 28. 

Both will be part of the more than 200 movies scheduled to be screened on the festival, and will be part of the “Horizons Section”, which comprises of a selection of the most remarkable contemporary films.

This is the second festival to honor Johnny’s career, being the first announcement made by the San Sebastian International Film Festival, set to happen on September 22. Different from the Spanish Festival, it’s unknown if Johnny will receive some kind of physical award or just a honorary session, as well the precise date. But let’s stay tuned for more info soon!

Sparrow Imagine #1

This is my very first Jack imagine so..I hope it’s alright😅Jack has been a comfort character of mine for a while and I felt like I needed to write something for him. Feel free to comment any feedback if you’d like☺️

“Alright boys, search The ins and outs of this here island! Go on then!”

You heard the captain yell, the crewmembers climbing down the sides of the ship with ropes. You were the last one down, as always. It’s not that you were bad at doing it, it’s only because these guys were so used to it. The only reason you were on this pirate crew is because you needed a job, and there weren’t many options for you. So what did you do? You asked a dirty pirate if you could tag along as well as help around the ship.

Landing on the beach finally you decided to follow a man who went by the name of Jack sparrow…er-..Captain…Jack sparrow. He always remind the people who forgot to say that part of his ‘title’ so you quickly learned to call him that. Jack had traveled down the beach looking for something important. He had sent his men looking through the more jungle-like part of the island.

“Wait-! Caption- hang on..”

You tried catching up to Jack but running in the thick sand was difficult with shoes, so you just took them off. Being able to run much better now, you caught up to him watching as he held a compass in his hand.

What an odd man.

You giggled softly as he instantly stared at his compass taking some large steps.

“Pardon my interruption, captain..but what exactly are you looking for?”

Jack didn’t answer you for a moment taking a few more steps. His compass suddenly pointed many different ways. He groaned in annoyance closed the compass, turning around to look at you. You had to admit, he was cute when he was annoyed, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, those big brown puppy I searching for answers and his lips in the shape of a small pout.

“Well, you see, lass, there’s an ancient skull that belonged to a very wealthy and highly appreciated man. So when he died instead of burying him they dipped his bones into liquid gold…I dunno why but..honor? I guess?”

Jack shrugged, attaching his compass to his belt.

“Anyway, being the wealthy man he was he knew of such places that were filled with all kinds of riches. He requested to keep the maps and information to himself so it’s locked away somewhere with his bones, more specifically his skull…but no one knows where it is now. So many people have tried stealing it..now it lies somewhere on an island buried by some other pirates..savvy?”

This story intrigued you. A map to wonderful treasures could be found, and it could be all yours! Well…yours and the crew’s.

“This is so cool, sir! Imagine if we found it!”

Jack cracked a smirk, finding it cute when you got excited. He stepped a little closer to you as the breeze from the ocean picked up. He looked into your eyes for a moment, admiring them. When you realized what he was doing you couldn’t help but blush.

“Uh…hi.”

You laughed softly and reached up to grab his hat, placing it on your own head. You gently booped his nose and winked at him.

“You know, Captain Sparrow, I do believe your hat looks really good on me.”

He smiled and let his finger tips move down your cheek, caressing your face. Though the sneaky pirate grabbed his hat back and ran from you. You gasped and watched him run. Oh, he wasn’t going to get away from you that easy. Chasing after him you started to get much closer and finally tackled him. The two of you tumbled onto the sand. Thankfully the sand was very soft and it felt good to lay on. You both laid there, laughing and just staring up at the sky.

Jack’s hand found yours as he turned his head to look at you. Once again his dark brown eyes sent a wave of calmness through you, and you loved it.
