A story? Inspired by this picture? Even though I've only ever written one other regency fic?
I just couldn't resist. Hope you like it!
Sneak Peek
“Penelope, they were looking at all of the couples on the dance floor, it is practically customary-”   “I am already aware of that. Colin. And yes, perhaps some members were paying more attention to one of the other pairings on the dance floor.” Her voice sounded a tad foreign to her own ears, dark and fed up. “But not all. Some were staring specifically at us. Fife was staring at us.”   “Is that what this is about?” He questioned. “Who the bloody hell cares what Fife of all people thinks?”   “You do, Colin!” The words burst out of her. “You must care what he thinks!”   “Why on earth would you say that?” His brows furrowed.   Penelope could not say which it was, the genuine confusion in Colin’s voice or the fact that he dared utter the question in the first place, but she felt a fire light within her. Her anger was bright and burning. She was completely and entirely incensed.   And the fault lay with Colin.   “Tell me, Colin,” she began, hating the way her voice gave away her every emotion, “if Fife were to ask you if you were courting me tonight, what would you say?”

Next chapter of the soulmate au is up now! Shit goes down lmao, hope you like it!
Sneak peek
“Colin's my worst brother.”   “Hey! What about Gregory?”   “You literally just called me your least favourite sister five minutes ago.”   “... Alright, fair point.”   “And I thought having one older brother was a lot.” Sam chuckled before turning his attention to Pen. He held out a bouquet of yellow roses. “Here, these are for you!”   “Awww, Sam-”   “Penelope hates yellow.”   She turned to look at him, almost as a sort of warning, before turning back to Sam. “Well, I-”   “Oh, I know.” Sam replied with ease. “Actually, the reason I got them was-”   ‘So you know Pen hates yellow, and you STILL got her a bouquet of yellow roses anyways. Yeah, nice going, mate.’   “Colin!”   … Okay, in his defence, he hadn't actually meant to say that one out loud.

Thank you all for the positive feedback on the Soulmate AU! And also a huge thank you to anyone who read my first regency fic! I truly can't believe how kind you all have been, and I'm so grateful! Next chapter up now!
Sneak peek
“Boring old wallflower? That can't seriously be how you see yourself.”   “It's how everyone else sees me.” She deflected with a little too much ease, Colin's frown only deepened. “You and your family not included, obviously.”   Well… That was good, that she knew that, at least. And yet, he really didn't feel much better. In that moment, Colin wished he could go back in time and make everyone see how amazing Penelope was, how amazing she's always been.   “Well that's everyone else's loss.” He said roughly. “Your words are just as important as Lady Whistledown's, if not more, and anyone who doesn't take Penelope Featherington's words seriously is an idiot.”    She smiled and touched his arm, and if it made him feel something, he pushed it down. “Thank you, Colin. That means a lot.”   But he knew that she still didn't realise how important her words really were, and in that moment he realised he'd spend the rest of her life convincing her of it if he needed to.   (In hindsight, that in itself should have been a pretty clear sign that his feelings weren't entirely platonic but, as clearly established, Colin was a bit of an idiot.)

Wrote my first regency fic and honestly I'm a little nervous but hopefully you guys like it!
Sneak peek
“Oh! Have I told you the best part?”   “No, I do not believe you have.”   She pulled something out of her purse and thrust into his hands, he looked and saw her dance card. “I do not understand.”   “Look, Colin! Lord Debling signed it!” A sigh escaped her lips that sounded akin to giddy, Colin’s chest tightened.   His brows furrowed. “I apologise, Pen, but I still fail to understand the significance of a signed dance card.”   “It is significant because nobody has ever signed my dance card before!” Penelope explained, eyes sparkling, a sight that Colin would normally rather enjoy, but now it only served to further the displeasing sensation still lodged in his body.   Colin’s frown deepened. “That cannot be true, Pen. We have shared many a dance over the years.”   “Of course we have, Colin.” Penelope said. “But you have never signed my dance card.”

Day 6 of Polin Week: Soulmate AU!
Been working on this for a while, very excited to share it, hope everyone likes it! :))
Sneak Peek
Penelope   We're good.   Colin   Awesome!!   You're the best Pen   But enough of that   Your soul mark must have come in by now right??   What was it???   Penelope frowned and looked the quill on her thigh, blinking back tears. It was strange, she'd spent so much of her life believing that she'd been born for Colin Bridgerton, and she knew now that he was born for her too. But he didn't want to be. And somehow, that hurt worse than him not being born for her at all.   Penelope I didn't get one.   Just another shitty thing I got from my dad.   Or didn't get, depending on how you look at it.   Colin Fuck   Shit Pen I'm so so sorry   Penelope It's okay, Colin.   And so, at the age of twenty-one, Penelope knew two things.   Colin Bridgerton was her soulmate.   And he could never know.

Guess who managed to write something for Polin Week :))
Written for the prompt: "Modern AU"
Hope everyone likes it!
Sneak peek
“Well, apparently we're stuck here.” Colin announced as Pen looked at him with wide eyes. Hoping to alleviate her fears, he immediately continued, “how about we play a little game?”   She looked at him skeptically. “What game?”   “I still I have Internet, I'll find one of those ‘how well do you know your best friend’ quizzes, and prove I know everything about you, even the trivial stuff.”   “Oh, Colin, you don't have to-”   “No, no. You said there are lots of things I don't know about you. As your best friend, it's now my mission to prove to you that, barring one case of childhood claustrophobia, I'm an amazing best friend who knows everything about you.”   Penelope smiled at him. “You're not going to let this go, are you?”   “Obviously not.”   She shook her head, grinning fondly. “Alright, let's do it.”

First Polin fic! Hope everyone likes it! :))
Sneak Peek
“You know, you never were able to tell me why you didn't like him.”   “Penelope-”   “I mean, I know you said he was boring and pretentious and he had weird hair-”   “I was not that mean-”   “But those weren't the real reasons you didn't like him.” She mused, playfully leaning against him. “I don't know what the real reasons were, but those weren't it.”   “Pen.” He said, voice surprisingly serious. “You know.”   “No, I really don't, if you ever want to tell me I would be happy to-”   “Penelope.” He repeated, moving to look at her properly, his gaze intense. “You know.”   And normally Penelope would nervously laugh it off and deny it, tell herself she was deluding herself after years of unrequited love. But now, as he stared at her, there was something in eyes. Something that was both nervous and unwavering all at the same time. It could only be…   “Oh.”
