Royal Margarine would like to think of himself as an excellent yandere, if he knew what the term meant, and had somehow come to grips with the fact that his feelings were less than innocent. He sets everything up just-so, rehearses his pickup lines for you in the mirror for hours, decorated his dressing table with little candids of you, sets up the spare room with a set of chains and a post for Buttercream outside the door in case you so much as thought about leaving without saying goodbye. He purchases all the necessities for keeping his beloved caged like the pretty bird they are (all completely normal and romantic precautions, of course!) and sets up the perfect trap for you to fall right into his arms.

…in reality he seems to fumble at every turn. You refuse his surely irresistible charms, claiming you had ‘somewhere else better to be’, caving in only when he started begging (surely because his handsome coaxing would make anyone change their minds and not because you felt pity for him), the candlelit date he set up goes south when he can’t quite recall which glass he slipped the sleeping medication into, although things start to turn to his favour when you start slipping off as he regales you with one of his many exploits across the kingdom (poor thing must be tired) letting him knock you out thoroughly with a quick-witted and definitely planned hit to the back of the head. When he finally manages to get you home (with some difficulty as he tries to sneak his way through the street holding an unconscious body), he collapses on the bed as the medication he’s now figuring out he must have mistakenly drunk catches up to him before he can slip your wrists into the shackles. When he finally wakes up it’s to a very vexed darling who seems convinced that you both slept together somewhere in the haze of the night, and you are none too pleased at the notion (honestly, he didn’t even get a chance–) and you are now striding past a very asleep Buttercream out the door as he falls out of bed.

Not to worry! He’s certain he’ll have you wrapped around his finger soon enough, and you’ll have a wonderful family together with at least 3 kids and maybe some pet dragons, time will tell! (Or so he keeps telling himself)

(A/N: These are based purely off of the musical canon, and any references taken from the original Odyssey and mythos is purely inspiration 💜)

Odysseus | Penelope | Telemachus (platonic)

Penelope isn’t sure what to think at first when Odysseus brings you home, but she quickly grows attached. She understands Odysseus better than anyone so it’s not difficult for her to see what he sees in you, even if you might not see it yourself. She’s gentle and nurturing where Odysseus is rough and overprotective, teaching you more domestic activities and helping you learn how to live without constantly looking over your shoulder. Odysseus does more than enough of that for the three of you. If Penelope is always at your side then he’s always in your shadow, just a few steps behind you, constantly watching as if he’s afraid he might blink and you’d disappear before his eyes. Slaughter seeps through the palace walls, death pervades the air and you never seem able to scrub the blood free from the marble floors, it follows behind him like a cloak hanging off of his shoulders. You and Penelope do what you can to bring him some peace of mind, however fleeting. When the palace feels just a little bit too quiet and Penelope is preoccupied soothing Odysseus’s night terrors, Telemachus is a constant source of energy when you need it. His optimism is refreshing, and you can’t help but wonder if his father had been more like him before the two of you met.

Athena

The goddess of wisdom knows all too well that her feelings for you are… unnatural, at least by mortal standards. While not so perverse as those typical of her extended family, she isn’t unfamiliar with customary courting etiquette. And quite frankly, she’d rather not deal with all those messy emotions. If she bottles up all these feelings for you, and never acts on them, surely nothing can possibly go wrong. Gods forbid any of her relatives find out about the little mortal that had won her favour, she can’t imagine the kind of trouble their attention would bring. Although there’s certainly no harm in keeping a watchful eye over you, just in case.

Hermes

Being loved by the quick-footed Hermes is uplifting, if exhausting. He’s tireless in his pursuit of your heart, cropping up when you’re least expecting him. The second he has a free moment (and all his moments are free-willed) and you find yourself alone, there he is again. No matter how many times you try to tell him no, you can’t bring yourself to hate him, bringing you gifts and messages to try and win you over. Even if he does somehow seem to scare all your other suitors off. Now and then he takes you with him, showing you sights and wonders you’d never have dreamed of seeing, stealing your breath away in a gust every single time.

Calypso

Lonely, lonely Calypso. After so many years without another soul to latch onto for company is it such a surprise that she’d grow so infatuated with you in an instant? She’s so afraid you might leave her, she won’t even give you the chance to make up your mind on whether you want to leave or not. She showers you in affection, lavishes you with attention, trying so hard to make sure you never want for anything ever again. Of course, she can get a little overzealous at times… you can hardly blame her when your touch is such an irresistible prospect, can you? So try to ignore that creeping feeling of panic fluttering frantically in your chest and obediently let her ply you with all the love a goddess has to give!

Poseidon

There are few fates worse than being hunted down by the ocean, frankly. Even fewer when you consider that the ocean has a penchant for threatening to drown entire nations in order to get his way, and a history of being ruthless with those who hurts those he considers his own. You’d better hope you’re with Odysseus’s crew if you want to survive Poseidon relatively unscathed, and pray that he doesn’t consider the risk of keeping you to outweigh the reward. In short; there’s very little chance of winning when the god of the seas is infatuated with you, and a very high chance you’ll end up hopeless if you don’t cave in to his demands quickly. And he would still tell you you’re lucky it was him whose eye you caught and not his brother’s.

Zeus

Speak of the devil, Poseidon wasn’t entirely wrong. It’s no secret that the attention of the King of the Gods was a bittersweet award. Any say you might’ve had on the matter is swept away by roiling clouds and silenced by the rumble of thunder. When Zeus wants something there’s no arguing with him, not for Heaven nor Earth. And to your complete and utter misfortune he wants you, something not even Odysseus nor any of the other gods can do much about. Your body and soul was his the moment he laid eyes on you. With a little luck you might be able to get something out of it, although it’s far more likely he’d steal away before you have a chance to plead your case.

Eternal Sugar Cookie

All of Eternal Sugar’s focus is on you while you’re together, the only thing that interests her is bringing you as much pleasure as possible til you’re falling to pieces in her sweet embrace. Making you fall apart until you can never think of leaving her again, and continuing long after you’ve lost all your senses. She wants to ensure that both you and everyone else who dares lays eyes on her darling knows who you belong to.

She’s committed to gently and lovingly ruining you for any other cookie until she’s the only one you can return to at the end of the day, making you completely reliant on her for pleasure. After all, no one else understands you in quite the same manner, who else can make you feel the same way she does? Now be a darling and promise you’ll never leave her, no matter what!

I'm so happy you asked my dear!! I'm actually a huge fan of Latte and Mystic Flour, with Pomegranate as my all time favourite!! (I have a terrible sweet tooth for mean women)

That said I usually prefer writing more for my lovely friends than myself which is how we end up with so many Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla posts (not that I’m complaining when all my darlings enjoy them so much hehe💜)

Hollyberry Cookie

There is a nonzero chance that you might not survive the experience. Pulls you so tightly up against her chest that you can barely breathe, and any attempt to let her know (gently or otherwise) would be efficiently smothered by her embrace. She means well, but tends to forget not everyone is built of the same stuff she is, and occasionally even so much as a pat on the back dislocates your spine. This is only exacerbated when she’s had a little too much to drink into a truly bone-shattering experience. On the plus side she tells wonderful stories about her adventures while you’re cuddling in bed.

Raspberry Cookie

She’s so incredibly proper about it, if you let her know you wanted to cuddle with her she’d scoop you up bridal style and bring you over to the Cuddling Chaise Lounge™️, equipped with a lovely fluffy blanket and a side table with drinks to keep you hydrated. A 5 star worthy pampering, holding you with just the right amount of care and cupping your face ever so lovingly. God help you if you ever imply that it’s anything less than perfect, even inferring it by accident. She will go into a FERVOUR trying to improve it, insisting you do daily training together to optimise the experience.

Shadow Milk Cookie

Shadow Milk somehow manages to look like one of the impossible feats of architecture that encircles his spire when he’s wrapped around you, his sprawling limbs entwined amongst your own in a puzzling fashion that makes it difficult to tell where he ends and you begin with a coil as tight as a snake’s. If you feel the urge to get up to grab a drink or stretch your limbs it’s better to just curl up and die. Despite his death grip on you he’s very giggly, and will turn his head to impossible angles just to whisper silly things into your ear to try and make you laugh. A successful twitch of the lips will have him grinning like a Cheshire Cat for the rest of the session.

Burning Spice Cookie

This goes without saying, but so so warm. He runs hot enough to keep you toasty in a blizzard, and warm enough to leave you sweating in any other kind of weather. It’s not easy to cool him off either, he just gets so fired-up around you. Best to keep a fan on while you two are cuddling if you don’t want to overheat instantly. He’s especially handsy too, can’t resist groping and touching as much of you as his hands can reach, and won’t even attempt looking sorry about it if you tell him off.

Eternal Sugar Cookie

If Shadow Milk is difficult to pry free from, then getting away from Eternal Sugar is a momentous task that shouldn’t be attempted by the faint of heart. She’s gentle, and careful not to make you uncomfortable, but any attempt to pull away or tug yourself free is met with a manacle-like grasp and a pout that is not easily rectified unless you agree to stay for longer. Further attempts to pry her off will be met with a light dose of guilt-tripping and threats, by which point you’re better off staying put and letting her nuzzle into your neck, her wings curled around the two of you, honeyed words of affection dripping into your ears.

Mystic Flour Cookie

I’m not convinced she’s capable of lying down at a full 90° angle, but she would be happy to let you rest your head in her lap, so long as you’re quiet and don’t fidget too much. She might even rest a hand on your head and trace patterns against your scalp as she meditates. Should you doze off she’ll continue holding you close, although she might find it harder to concentrate, seeing you so peaceful and vulnerable like that in her lap. Such a dear, sweet thing you are to her.

She’s thrilled when you play through her chapter, every step of the way thinking that all this is worth it for you. The flowers, the dress, the celebration as she lays her life down for you and your heart. The other cookies have scarcely a clue that it’s you she’s planning on committing herself to, she suspects they would be a little put-off if they knew, so she avoids addressing you directly. Not like any of them are worthy of having your name on their tongues anyway, except maybe Wedding Cake Cookie. She supposes she’d have to know for the ceremony.

The cookies are so genuinely appreciative when their darling player equips them with gifts to enhance their abilities, those with full sets of resonating toppings and fully upgraded beascuits know that they’re special, their power far exceeds that of the others and they spend the longest basking in their beloved player’s affections as they fight in their name. They would gladly fight a war a million against one if it meant that you were there to guide them. Some of them might already have. Elder Faerie Cookie and and Crimson Coral Cookie can hardly count the crumbs piling up before them of the monsters they’d slain for you, and they wouldn’t change a thing if it meant they would remain in your favour forever.

Cookies equipped with throwaway toppings you had lying around to fill in when your main team is busy elsewhere are disappointed, but grateful nonetheless. Camellia Cookie and Financier Cookie might not be quite so powerful as the elemental spirits or the storybook ancients, but they can hold their own, and they’re thankful for the scraps you throw their way. Others might not be so forgiving, perhaps even trying every method at their disposal to fight teeth and claw their way into a spot among your pantheon. Twizzly Gummy and Smoked Cheese have had a taste of your favouritism, and they’re not keen to give it up willingly.

I imagine the in-game gacha would be equally as nail-biting for the cookies as it would be for you, if not moreso. Every second of the animation as Gingerbrave and his friends set to work using the cookie cutters you’d so meticulously gathered to pull a new soul from the heat of the oven feels like an unnecessarily drawn-out process to them, and cheers erupt from the loudest cookies whenever the cookie-shaped stencil glows that telltale colour that means one of them is going home.

Cookies drawn on the wrong banner (as in, pulling a different cookie on someone’s specific limited event banner) are outraged by the indignity of it. It was meant to be their chance and it was snatched away from their fingers. Even worse are the beasts and/or ancients turned down in the selectable Gacha of Fate. Even if they’ve kept an eye on the toppings you’ve been gathering for their counterpart it’s heartbreaking to see you shun them for their other half, other cookies know to avoid them when this happens. Some pity them, some wish it could’ve been them you favoured, but all of them know that if they want to avoid the unchosen taking their wrath out on others they need to stay away.

The cookies aren't entirely sure what to expect when they see the cake shop pop up from out of nowhere, but once they realise exactly what it is the trickle of customers turns to a torrent. There’s a constant line of cookies outside the shop, each of them longing for a taste of the baked goods handmade by their darling player inside. Even the more asocial characters are seen making a rare public appearance and queuing up outside, Sea Fairy Cookie and Wind Archer are a surprise to many of the customers in line, rarely sighted by the regular cookie folk as they are.

Some of the cookies craft elaborate orders, trying to stall for precious time with you, while others make their orders almost painfully simple, trying to put as little pressure on you as possible. And through it all Wedding Cake Cookie preens under the attention, constantly hovering nearby to intercept whenever she notices a customer she’d rather have out of the shop, overprotective as a mother hen as she rushes them through their order. She even dares to confront the all-powerful Beast Cookies, well aware that they would never dare to lift a finger against her in front of the player.

White Lily Cookie

Quite honestly put, I don’t believe White Lily would do anything of the sort no matter how far gone she was, as the Light of Freedom she’s not going to be keeping her darling to herself anytime soon unless they were some kind of evil she felt the need to protect others from (and lock away for herself in the process). Instead she’d be incredibly self-sacrificial, putting your own safety and comfort above her own at all times, even to the degree of avoidance, as she believes herself dangerous and that she might only bring harm to you. Tainted White Lily/Dark Enchantress Lily is a different matter altogether however.

Well that’s just perfect!💜 He doesn’t want you frivolously wasting your time with other cookies anyway, not when he’s right here, and just as obsessed with you as you are with him (perhaps moreso). He knows everything about your tastes and likes anyway, after so much time watching you through other’s eyes (as much as his skin crawls at the thought of anyone else looking at you the same way he does), and anything he’s not a fan of (friends and family) is easily fixed with a little reconditioning, you won’t even notice anything is different, you’ll be too focused on him. After all, it’s only fair when he’s got eyes only for you for you to reciprocate the sentiment.
