moon in the houses (7- 12)
this is part 2 :)
wondering where you can find part 1? click here
disclaimer: everybody handles placements in astrology differently. please take everything i say with a grain of salt. if something doesn't resonate its okay, different things resonate for different people.
moon in the 7th house
the moon represents our emotions, where we feel comfortable and safe, the mother figure in our life and females in general. when the moon falls into the seventh house harmony is usually required in order for you to feel fully safe and happy. when important partnerships get shaky you may find yourself feeling panicked and uneasy. you seek peace. you can be diplomatic when dealing with others. there is a misconception that the seventh house only represents 'the other' but in my opinion it also shows what others see in you. (kind of like the tenth house but a little different) others could see you as an emotional person but not necessarily. instead, they could also see you as a very caring and loving person. usually you will find yourself desiring a meaningful partnership with somebody -unless you already have one-. in order for you to be emotionally satisfied and comfortable marriage is usually the way to go. don't worry though if you are not fond of the idea of marriage this placement for you will just indicate wanting meaningful, non-romantic partnerships. also you will usually have a good relationship with your mother.
moon in the 8th house
the moon represents our emotions, where we feel comfortable and safe, the mother figure in our life and females in general. when the moon falls into the eighth house it honestly completely explains why you're here. you will have this deep interest in occult sciences and the unknown. reading things like astrology, for example, makes you feel comfortable and at home. your emotions are very powerful and people -consciously or not- will be affected by your moods. people say that this placement will create very moody, short-tempered individuals which can be true to some extent. you are very private. i personally think that if you use this placement wisely it is extremely powerful. i believe lots of very experienced astrologers have their moons in their eighth house. you are an intense person. it might be a little obvious but i will always have a bias when it comes to the eighth house. (i love every house though) you usually need to discover things and discover the unknown in order to be satisfied. your relationship with your mother can be up and down. check your composite and synastry with your mother to get a good idea of your relationship with her according to astrology.
moon in the 9th house
the moon represents our emotions, where we feel comfortable and safe, the mother figure in our life and females in general. when the moon falls into the ninth house you will feel happy, comfortable, safe and satisfied when travelling and learning/discovering foreign things! you'll also feel these things when learning about religion and perhaps going on your own spiritual endeavour. i know somebody with this placement and they never seem to settle down because they feel truly at home when travelling. in my opinion you are never going to be fully satisfied if you are cooped up in one location for your whole life. using the person i know as an example again, they are very spiritual. you may find that doing certain religious practises calms you down and makes you feel centered. foreign things grabs your attention. perhaps eating a foreign meal makes you feel better or perhaps dressing up in traditional, foreign outfit makes you happy. there is a chance that your mother is from a foreign country (or your parents in general since any ninth house placement can potentially point towards foreign parents).
moon in the 10th house
the moon represents our emotions, where we feel comfortable and safe, the mother figure in our life and females in general. when the moon falls into the tenth house you desire to be successful in life. specifically when it comes to your occupation and reputation. you may become emotionally invested in these things. in order for you to feel comfortable and satisfied you need to have a stable career and a good relationship with the public. you want to be recognised for your achievements. when you are recognised for your achievements you just become even more dedicated and focused on your career and image. this is an admirable quality but you should make sure you don't get too invested. your vulnerable and emotional side might be open to the public and be seen. you are a hardworking individual. you could have a tendency to nurture and care for your work colleagues and the public in general. you are looked up to and are seen as the 'mother/father-figure'. i believe that you could have a strong connection with your mother, father or both since the moon represents your mother but the tenth house represents your father as well. your parents could be prominent in your life.
moon in the 11th house
the moon represents our emotions, where we feel comfortable and safe, the mother figure in our life and females in general. when the moon falls into the eleventh house you find yourself feeling comfortable when you are surrounded by friends. if a fight, for example, occurs in your friend group you will be emotionally affected. you seek for validation. you want to be supported by your friends. if you are isolated from your friends (like in lockdown for example) you are more than likely going to feel anxious and saddened. you may enjoy working with your community and organising events in your local area. you are a social butterfly but in order for your wings to flourish you need to be supported and surrounded by people other than your family (friends etc.). you may find yourself having many wishes and dreams for your future but those wishes and dreams might change too much for you to settle down and work towards them. also ,regardless of your gender, you could be surrounded by lots of females or just have lots of female friends.
moon in the 12th house
the moon represents our emotions, where we feel comfortable and safe, the mother figure in our life and females in general. when the moon falls into the twelfth house you are very intuitive. your instincts are usually right. your emotions and feelings run deep. people may not know much about how you genuinely feel because your emotional state is usually hard to read and hidden away from others. you tend it be quite sensitive to your environment. you are perceptive. this is a very strong placement. it will have an affect on even the most down-to-earth individuals. you can appear sort of ethereal. you are probably either very in-tune with your emotions or very out-of-tune them. the twelfth house can also represent hidden enemies so females could be more of a culprit when it comes to that. you may be seen as introverted and private. you feel strongly for people that are suffering and are sympathetic for the underdog. if you handle this placement wisely your intuition can drive you to success.
please don't steal my work.

Planets in the 8th house and places you can feel "regenerated"
The 8th is responsible for produces a feeling of being regenerated and stronger. Planets rule-specific places in Astrology. When planets are in the 8th house they can make you feel regenerated, stronger, or even possibly extend your life when you spend time or live in these kinds of places.
Sun in 8th House
The Sun represents forests, mountains, open spaces, and places of worship. Sun in the 8th can be the kind of person who feels regenerated and stronger spending time in forests. Spending time up in high locations like mountain tops or on skyscrapers looking across the land can be regenerating. 8th house Sun can also feel regenerated and pure from spending time in open spaces with nothing around them. Sun is also a religious/spiritual planet liking to spend time in temples or places of worship to feel regenerated.
Living in a heavily forested area, high up on a hill with a view, or in a private open lot of land can be particularly energizing.
Moon in 8th House
The Moon in astrology rules the home, the birth homeland, and watery places. When Moon is in the 8th house spending time at home is primarily what produces a feeling of regeneration. For this reason, they can be homebody. Being around water and partaking in water activities also regenerates the 8th house moon soul. Living by lakes, rivers, oceans, or having a pound on the home lot is good for the soul of the Moon in the 8th. A bathtub in the home too can be beneficial.
Mercury in 8th House
Mercury in Astrology rules over cities, mixed-use neighborhoods, and markets. When posted in the 8th house Mercury brings a feeling of regeneration being involved in the local community. We may see therapeutic effects from simply doing things like walking in the neighborhood, eating at local eateries, shopping in local business, or even going to comedy clubs. It’s in the best interest of Mercury in the 8th to live in an actual city to keep the life force strong.
Venus in 8th House
Venus in Astrology is linked with the actual physical home and heavily into places of city culture and social gatherings. Venus in the 8th house feels regenerated doing any number of things that can be considered cultural activities. A feeling of being alive can come from going to theaters, music halls, art galleries, street fairs, or dating venus. Venus posted in the 8th also feels regenerated simply from going places to shop. It’s not unusual to feel alive going to shopping centers, markets, grocery stores, or auctions.
Since Venus has linked with the home thanks to its Taurus rulership, spending time comfortable at peace in the home is very welcome to regenerate the soul. Living in places with access to city life and culture is important to Venus. Living far out might feel like a drag. If the home is particularly beautiful and comfortable, it might not be that much of a bother though
Mars in 8th House
Mars in astrology is linked specifically with hot and dry places. Mars in the 8th can create a tendency to feel regenerated being in the desert or a hot type of environment. Beyond just being in a physically hot location, this regenerated feeling may come from being in a sauna or steam bath as well. Mars in Astrology is also linked with Farms, so a feeling of generation can actually come from farming and cultivating the land.
Wherever the intensity is turned up, Mars in the 8th feels regenerated. Mars is affiliated with battlefields and places of intense energy. This can make Mars in the 8th house require being somewhere active to feel a powerful sense of strong lifeforce. This can include going to places like sporting events, gyms, arenas, or simply places where competition takes place.
Jupiter in 8th house
Jupiter represents foreign lands, nature, forests, and open places. Jupiter in the 8th house brings a feeling of regeneration when spending time in the great outdoors. Being out in nature and around animals in natural settings is good for the soul. Living in a forest setting can be especially beneficial for increasing the life span.
Jupiter is affiliated with foreign lands far from the homeland. Traveling and vacationing to foreign lands can be a powerful means of regeneration. Living in foreign lands can be heavily beneficial for the life span. Moreso, living as a vagabond with no home traveling from place to place can be invigorating.
Saturn in 8th House
Saturn in Astrology rules over cold, dry places, forested places, and mountain peaks. Having Saturn in the 8th house can produce that regenerated feeling of being in cold environments. It can be particularly enjoyable to live in places with no snow or where the weather never gets hot. Living in the far northern latitudes where there is little daylight can be good for the Saturn in soul as well.
Saturn in the 8th finds a feeling of soul regeneration in forested and mountain peaks as well. It’s not uncommon to find that spending time among the earthy trees is beneficial for the spirit. Saturn in this house also loves being up on hills and in mountains. Up here the soul feels regenerated sees the sights and especially likes living higher up because it’s cooler in temperature. Just like Saturn loves.
Uranus in 8th House
Uranus in Astrology is associated with cities and urban environments. Uranus loves being where culture happens and this can be very regenerating for the soul. The feeling of being alive can come from having the freedom of choice to be independent, but also have the ability on a whim to go be involved in culture. In a very eccentric way, The soul thrives being where the chaos happens. This is another reason the city and urban settings regenerate Uranus in the 8th.
Neptune in 8th House
Neptune in Astrology rules over Hidden places, other dimensions, dreamworlds, fantasy realms, and the deep ocean. Neptune in the 8th house feels at peace and regenerated not being involved in the physical world. More than any other position, sleeping and dreaming can be especially regenerating. Neptune in 8 tends to feel most alive exploring other dimensions through meditation and spiritual involvement.
Spending time near in or water is especially regeneration. Living near the water is best for Neptune in 8.
Pluto in 8th House
Pluto in Astrology rules over the underworld, hidden places, battlegrounds, and masses of people. Having Pluto in the 8th house feels alive being in hidden places away from the light. This can imply that spending time in cavers and underground settings can be regenerating. It would not be usual to find benefit being in darkrooms, basements, or even panic rooms.
Pluto in 8 thrives and feels alive in places where battles take place. Going to war might actually bring that feeling of being alive like no other. For Pluto in 8, it is also not uncommon to feel regenerated going to places where masses of people congregate. The feeling of soul regeneration can come from interacting with masses of people, healing, or even manipulating them.

On the topic of being obsessed with introspection and “self discovery”, i recently read something by Viktor Frankl which I feel fits the whole following of astrology/mbti/personal discovery etc very well. He said that, because life has become void of meaning for many, because there is an “existential vacuum”, we compensate by “psycho-analyzing” ourselves, sharing our psychological problems and insights with others, discussing them, etc (and he predicted this development in the 40s!). An existential vacuum leads to an obsession with the own psyche that can be the cause of neuroses and its pseudo-therapy. Self-reflection can in itself be the root of many problems. I had a talk with someone about how phases of self-reflection and lots of journaling are often the least mentally stable and happy ones. When we feel good, we do not feel the need to conduct some sort of self-therapy. Viktor Frankl also came up with the concept of using a paradoxical intention for healing neuroses. A patient with insomnia, for example, cannot sleep because they so rigidly and obsessively try to sleep, which hinders them from relaxing into an unconscious state. So a paradoxical intention would be “for a change, why don’t you try to not sleep tonight, and just relax and think about something nice?” - which then makes them fall asleep quickly. Maybe by setting the paradoxical intention “i will not try to figure myself out and heal myself” many of the problems which were simply rooted in obsessing over yourself will take care of themselves.
