It's only an issue because certain powerful people would misuse it. Lolorito for example shouldn't even be allowed to breathe near Allagan tech. And don't get me started on Sharlayan. Other than those cases, I feel like G'raha is a little too distrustful for someone who just left the Crystarium tower open to the public. Not like he can keep it locked forever. Give it a dozen years or so.
Sad because the tech could be so helpful! Garleans are about the only ones that know how to use it though since they just copied the bluprints.
Though I imagine some Eorzeans might faint if they saw sufficiently advanced tech.

Allagans on the Moon?
Just as likely as you'd think!
And look:
Tumblr media
The MoonBuns display an appropriate amount of respect for what the Glory of Allag can bring to their cosmic exploration initiative! If only more were as open to utilizing these gifts from Allag!

✍️ - A very nice souvenir pen from the last place you traveled, and a nice small bottle of apple green ink.
When Zel returned home from hunting, a Moogle was lounging on Zel's sofa in her apartment in Solution 9. She was engrossed in a tablet style terminal displaying colorful illustrations.
"Miss Zel!" She squeaked, nearly dropping the device from surprise. "You're back early!"
"If you wanted to use my devices you could simply ask. There's no need to sneak around."
"I was just waiting for you!" The moogle replied "You have a package, and the sender asked to make sure it was delivered!"
On the coffee table, there were two boxes stacked, one larger than the other, tied together by a dark blue ribbon. She undid the ribbon and started with the smaller one.
A tiny cube a few ilms big, made of polished birch. She lifted the lid to find a small round bottle filled with a vibrant, bright green liquid. Not knowing what it was, she set it down and picked up the larger box.
It was a beautiful box, simple but expertly made with quality wood, a deep and rich mahogany, held closed with a small metal clasp, and inside Zel found, atop a stone gray linen sateen pillow. Atop the pillow, gorgeous quill made from a a sleek black chocobo feather with a darksteel tip sat, so lovingly crafted that Zel had to pick her jaw up from the table. She suddenly found herself wondering if a certain Lord Speaker used a quill like this one. Tucked into the lid was a small note card with a pressed flower.
"For your letter writing. -Y'aromir"
She glanced again at the little bottle, realizing that it was ink!
"This is so pretty I almost don't even want to use it!"
But use it she would, and the first note she would pen would be a reply, profusely thanking the sender for the sweet gift.

🍓 - Wild berries, picked fresh and moistened by the slightest bit of dew. They are both tart and sweet, and are full of seeds
"Kupopopo! Zel! I have something for you!!"
The voice was familiar, one of the overly eager postal moogle she trained, and they were zooming right for her, carrying a small fabric bundle.
"Zel! One of your friends sent you a present, kupo! They asked if I knew you and if I could get these to you pronto!"
The little moogle was flying circles around Zel, eventually landing on her shoulder. It handed over the parcel and flew off.
"What is it? I promise I didn't peek, kupo!"
"Patience, Kupli."
The young moogle flapped his wings in excitement, but quieted down while Zel untied the package. It was a handkerchief, one that had seen better days, and it was full to bursting with fresh shroud raspberries. She had an idea who might have sent these, but gave the handkerchief a few sniffs anyway. She knew that scent anywhere.
"Aww, Naoh'li is always so thoughtful." Zel said, beaming with joy. "I absolutely have to send him some snacks too!"
Surely, she had ingredients on hand to make a nice shortbread, simple and easy. Before long, the company house was filled with the warm scent of home baked goods. She transferred the berries to a little wooden bowl, and used the handkerchief to package some of the cookies, with a small pouch of Sharlayan fogweed - the good stuff.
With these she included a note.
"Thanks for the treat! Here's some for you!"
Satisfied, she looked at the leftover cookies and handed a big one to Kupli. Of course she had to reward her hardworking messenger after he did such a fantastic job!
Bundle in tow, the moogle bid her farewell, and swiftly took to the skies, ready for their long journey.

Here: ✍️ for you!
Zel looked at the package she had recieved: a small parcel wrapped in paper, around 6 ilms long. Taking care not to rip the paper, she managed to seperate the box from the wrapping. Inside the box was a gorgeous bronze pen with the inscription "Greetings from Ul'dah", with a beutiful little vial of ink that was the color of copper patina, a lovely and light green with a slight metallic shimmer. Even the vial was gorgeous.
She produced a sheet of paper and tested out the new pen. Long, even strokes showed the quality, and the ink was the perfect consistency. There was no note, so she wasn't sure who it was from or where, but she knew this lovely pen would be helping her write plenty of letters for her friends.
"Thanks, mysterious gift giver, I shall treasure this."

It was ironic, a little, that Fennie hated eating fish so much — but loved catching them. It was a hobby he'd picked up during his days working at the Arcanists' Guild — many of his coworkers would spend their lunch catching a few fish to grill up, while Fennie tagged along.
He still went fishing once in a while, mostly in the lakes surrounding Mor Dhona when he needed a few bells of peace and quiet to himself. And while Feldspar always asked him to bring home his catches to cook up, Fennie secretly let most of them go.~
