....there is a video posted about someone who raced with Jos talking about his experience...he talks about max and how he was beaten by his dad....apparently max used to keep his helmet on to hide his bruises....even if there is some amount of truth to this story it is so horrible..

yeah I saw the video and if it's something that has an ounce of truth to it it just boggles my mind that people can see a kid walking around hiding bruises on his face and do nothing about it then praise it as good parenting because "it worked out" and max could take it since he didn't run away from home or didn't end up an addict but a champion (their words). I almost want to believe the guy is exaggerating because that's fucking bleak but hearing what we hear about how jos treated max as a child it's entirely possible. fuck that.
