#170 is another mediocre entry
I'm playtesting a rpg, the radar from SMT 3 is in there and I get calls ou messages on my phone about a cat in-game. I was in some big city (New York?/Tokyo?) for the entire runtime and the in-game camera was given a steep downward angle to look down at my character.

#169 Powerful demon being a pain-in-the-ass
I and my brother were cursed by an evil banshee. The first curse was that we would both be split into 2 different alternate universes, but we could still see each other. The ghost would later give a special ball that transcended the third dimension and could be interacted by both me and my brother. We played together at recess and the other kids were astounded that I was literally playing with an invisible kid. Later, the ghost would pay me another visit to curse me again, and caused an abnormal amount of dust to build up in my bedroom, which I tried to get rid of by opening the window, but the wind outside was actively fighting against me. At some point, I was even holding perhaps the most disgusting ball of dust I've ever seen in my life. It was a thick solid clump (thick and solid as in stone) I've seen these irl, but they are usually so tiny and the result of water mixing with dust. It was a little over half the size of my fist in my dream, when I exposed it to the strong wind stream while trying to get rid of it, it bursts into more dust - like a mushroom full of spores bursting open - and into my face, and this smell it wasn't rancid, but it was strange I was thinking "is this what dust smells like?" and at that moment I woke up; much earlier than usual I must add. It almost felt like a nightmare.

#168 Cozy driving in this animal crossing-styled racer
This is a very long dream, so click on the blue text below if you want to read all of it. In short; I was playing something that was both a driving game and a collectathon and there were quests, probably a GTA-styled "wanted" level, but most importantly, one of this game's main quests was getting a driving license.
Here's a map of the town/track in the demo where the dream occurred.
Tumblr media
What I was playing today was a cartoon-themed Nintendo 64 racing kart and social simulation game, a strange one at that as it was also a collectathon. I don't remember whether it was at the beginning of the dream or the middle point of it, but I saw either an in-game demo or a youtube video of a race being played by me and the residents of the town in their respective themed cars (i.e the ice cream man was running the race in his ice cream truck), I had a somewhat boring-looking blue rounded car and saw both a red variant and a green variant of my car. This matters for later, but there was a police vehicle in the race too. To the game itself, throughout the dream I didn't get to race once! Before all else, the game forced a tutorial on me where I had to help the farmer to find an item, my first of many quests in the game. Afterward, I had to have a driver's permit in order to be able to use my own car which thankfully didn't take too long. I think all I had to do is to complete some "quests" with a monitor character which were some sort of tutorial to use a car. By the end of it, there was I think a cutscene where my character was advertising a race to other people, but they were busy due to irl problems (so relatable!) and couldn't participate, a policewoman catches wind of my character's advertising and confronts him directly, also referring to his driver's license, it went something like this "did you know racing was illegal? It is illegal to go above speed limit or to disrupt traffic. Think about that if you care about having a permit". Then, and that's where the collectathon part plays into it I had to complete more quests for the other npcs and most of these were fetch quests I had to find a specific item and then bring it back to them, it wasn't for naught however, each time I did one of these quests the game would show me a sceeen with the character's dtiving skills improving a little bit, it was similar to that stat screen from modern iterations of mario Kart. and that same police officer would stalk me and force me into weird situations I had to find a way out. I broke the fourth wall in the dream and mentioned that there were 5 (maybe 10?) items for all characters, but I only had to give them 3 (maybe 2?) items before I could race them, not only that, but to avoid unfair advantages I had to help equally everyone on top of the mandatory amount of times I must help them. I started with the farmer, he was on the outskirts of town, I went inside his farm full of hay and some cows and found one of his items. Then, I'm guessing I helped the secretary find her papers scattered in town. The secretary wore a gray vest and had reading glasses. Then, I'm guessing I helped some random joe on the streets waiting for a taxi, the bus or something akin to those.
I clearly can't remember everything from my biggest dreams, so if anything happened in-between it's a blank (assuming there weren't any "jump cut"). I went back to the farm and I walked up a rotating wheel attached to some kind of pilon or windmill, the police officer who had ceaselessly tried to get my character in trouble since he got his permit and was doing these quests had now showed up again and had put her own gun against her temple, I was idle at parets of that point and the wheel would move my character around, I knew if I found the item quickly I would be safe, but I didn't know where it was, I panicked ran off to the side and she shoots with a comically large blast. A cutscene immediately played with my character in a white void where all the items I've gathered from the npcs were rapidly siphooned out of my character (on the right) to the left where the officer was and she was safe and sound, it happened so quickly and there were so many of them that they all blinked in and out of existence in an instant, except for the last item which was an ice cube (or a sugar cube?) with a smiley face on it, it dragged itself away slowly. In-dream I understood that as the policewoman confiscating my items. I also saw her talk to other npcs. The dream doesn't go any farther than this. About the location itself, I would measure the entire town was no more than 1 kilometer squared, it had a loop leading to the outside and a bifurcation into a road leading to seemingly a forest far away, the farm was positioned in the cross section of the circling road. The whole city was fenced off and the fence had an invisible wall I think, I can't exactly remember, but I think there was something behind the farm preventing out of bounds and well there is no alley in town, all buildings were glued together. The game had a skybox of some place in low altitude/fields with a town depicted very far away, most probably from Switzerland.

#167 Tiny huge city
I was a guy with a red cap and who looked like a splatoon kid somewhat. I was coming into a house with som e men, I don't know my relationship to them. We were all armed. After some time passes I had to escape a strange flood pouring into the house I got out from the broken window. Outside looked weird, as if I was really tiny and everything else really huge. It reminded me of that city level with vampires in Orbo's Odyssey. Then I see an unhinged man who believed he was better than everyone else from third person, he was in some sort of fairy forest with an android (the robot, not the os for telephones). He uses a spell or curse and causes the Android to shrinks down, but the android was confused and scared, so it tried hitting the man repeatedly each connected hit caused the man to blink yellow, but he didn't recoil much. the android was still shrinking.

#166 The return of the eldritch hornet, but with pokemons this time
I was dreaming of a Pokemon Entomophobia-themed horror game hack where I had to escape some infested and cursed forest place. I'm not sure on what game it is based on since sometimes it was pixelated (like Platinum), sometimes it was in 3D (like X and Y). When the game started I was in some festival, there were trees everywhere that I could see and the entrance was an arched wooden gate. I was sitting on a seat in the mini grandstand separating the tiny ring where someone was performing, I don't remember what he was doing. Until suddenly, bugs began flooding the screen, they weren't pokemons, just plain old bugs like houseflies and beetles. Everybody was running away and in the middle of the ring was forming a monster bee thing. It was made entirely of bees and looked kind of like the Queen Bee from Terriaria, particularly its face. The game then switches from the cutscene to the gameplay and now it looks like a 2d top-down game as stated earlier. I was a pokemon trainer and I had 6 Pokemons, I can't remember anything involving the first 2 pokemons whom I presume died sometime during the dream, but the last 4 died as follow. My fourth mon somehow got separated from me and was running away from the bee monster for its life, then hides inside a building (I think it was a restroom with multiple stalls) and closed the door behind, this is where I saw the monster's appendage for the first time (I think?) which were skeletal sticks stitched together with some sort of joint armed with a literal giant pencil all colored in yellow. Using this the monster attacked the door - hitting it with so much strength it bent the metal. After hitting the door repeatedly, it finally breaks it open and this initiates a Pokemon battle. The monster goes first with its signature move (which was like Horn Drill or Drill Run) and it instantly kills the Pokemon. I don't remember what this pokemon looked like, but it had an humanoid shape, maybe a Lopunny? The game then switches to a 3d cutscene featuring Lucario, Cubone and a small black Pokemon (Pincurchin?) in the middle of night near a precipice where they rest, the camera filmed the scene horizontally and there was a bright moon in the background, they are all sad and crying. The game switches back to gameplay, I was now playing as the trainer again, but he had no other Pokemon besides Lucario, the same Lucario I saw near the precipice. I was walking up to some building in a city and next thing I know a man followed by the monster behind was walking up to me and challenged me to a fight he wore a british attire with a Bowler hat. It was a double battle and the man was fighting me directly, his sprite looked wrong, he looked like Freddy Krueger. The man moved first and used a move that dealt no more than a little bit of damage and which lucario resisted (If I recall correctly it was twineedle?), then the monster attacked and it used Pin Missile, except it was super effective and immediately dropped Lucario's hp down to zero with the first hit. The game goes back to the cutscene where Cubone and the small black Pokemon were still mourning their loss, and it's only then that I woke up.

#165 The Pokemon game from another dimension
I was playing a Pokemon ROM hack, in that jack I was, again, on a bicycle. I arrived into some town west from my position east-north of there was a large mountain which I assume had a cave system like most official Pokemon games. Other than that trees, per usual were used [antonym of sparingly] to railroad the player and keep them in bounds, the whole town was surrounded by trees and the mountain disappears completely by the time the name of the town pops up on screen. There, I saw the female protagonist/rival from gen 3 standing in front of a either a house or the pokemon center, she talked to me initiating a long-winded discussion, perhaps a battle too. The text box was a pretty dark green that complimented the atmosphere of the area very well. I kept moving deeper into town by moving west, the town seemed rather linear until I find a church, I enter the church. There, I find the female protagonist from gen 1, except I don't think you could choose your gender in gen 1, maybe gen 2? Maybe she's from the remakes, but she was demade into the artstyle of the game from the original on gameboy? Anyway, I talked to her and the text box was different, it looked like a heavily modified version of the text box from Pokemon red and blue from the gameboy, but with the same white background and small pokeballs pixel art in each corner. She was warning me of pokemons in the pipes (ghost types?) and that's it - that's where the dream ends.

#164 The Mario Party from another dimension
I was playing a Mario Party game that was very bizarre with either my brother or a friend. I was Mario and I spawned in a circular room with the camera panning from the dead middle. There were at least 3 different doorframes with some being minigames and one being the exit door. There was a minigame I checked that was basically a ski game disguised as a waterslide. Mario and friends were in a giant U-shaped waterslide made of wood and I had to go under those micro goals/flags to earn points (practically like ski), it was also a race so I couldn't afford to slow down too much. I saw Peach and either Luigi or Yoshi, I can't remember who was the fourth character on their own version of the waterslide. The wehole time, the aquatic theme from new super mario bros was playing. The game within the dream looked like a game dream I had previously related to mario Party.

#163 Griefing is fun!
I had a minecraft dream. I was playing on a colorful server, but it also didn't look like Minecraft. In fact, instead of a Minecraft skin I was a human person. The dream started in some sort of funhouse every wall was a solid green with some tints of red and orange here and there. After pacing out for a bit in what I can assume was the lobby, I notice two people. They were griefing the place using flying machines (which also did look nothing like the piston powered ones from minecraft) that bombed the place as well as a mob, that was not from Minecraft, who dropped large blocky turds all over to clog up the place in another room. I ran away and into a mansion that was somehow connected to the funhouse. Later, I find a staircase leading me into an underground aquatic cavern that was connected to the mansion which was then connected to the funhouse these 2 guys were griefing. In that cave they provoked yet another mob that wasn't from Minecraft, it was like a drill mounted snail or crab, but more anthropomorphic. They were jumping on its head to get it to drill up toward the funhouse (and for context that's real thing Minecraft players do, they'll summon a Wither and then continually try to stand where they want the Wither to shoot so to damage another player's creation). As I walked down the set of stairs, I surprised the 2 griefers who where now down there. I immediately reassured them that I was here to cause havoc, too. I had ulterior motives from theirs I'm not exactly sure what these motives were. So, I sat there said nothing else and watched them, primarily because the game broke I opened the chat and accidentally entered a command consisting entirely of numbers, I don't remember exactly, but I think it was "/101 453". Later, the game was still running, but the app transformed into an android browser (think of firefox for android or chrome for android) with the game running in the middle of it and the address bar appearing on top only separated by a thick grayish dark blue/indigo square. The 2 griefers wre long gone, so I looked for them and walked back upstairs. Then, the dream jumpcuts forward and now I see the funhouse was completely gone leaving only the mansion behind. Meanwhile, these 2 guys and I were runnig away from the police/moderators?/vigilantees?? I waved at them to get them to run to me, so they do not scatter randomly, and then we hid together inside a closet in the back of the giant mansion and I shushed at them with a finger in front of my mouth while quietly telling them to be quiet/calm down. As a fun fact: the whole game so far has had proximity voice chat. Another thing of note that I'm not sure was already obvious enough with the aquatic underground caves, but the mansion was sitting on a beach with yellow minecraft sand blocks and surrounded by water. It stops being sand up the hill to the right (relative to the mansion's entrance gate if you come out of the mansion) where instead it is replaced by trees and grass blocks. There was seemingly a gray road right in front of the mansion where the funhouse used to stand.

#162 a documentary
I vaguely remember a dream where I was watching a nature documentary (like natgeo wild) and the guy filming was explaining to me - the viewer - that this elephant was being attacked by a swarm of large bees (probably hornets honestly) and was stung repeatedly all over its body. It didn't react much, though. The ground looked like a path for vehicles in african territory and the backdrop was a jungle. There was a good amount of trees and vines lined-up together.
Why is it always bees?

#161 Slay the Pokemon
This next dream was pretty unstable, so bear with me. I was playing some weird bossrush game, maybe roguelite molded after Slay the Spire? I'm not too sure. I was playing the game live or on a youtube video and I had a Ambipom, I explained to chat that Ambipom was overpowered in this game with its speed and multi-hit moves (Which isn't that false irl, but I don't think he's overpowered) and the battlefield looked bland as if it was the Pokemon GO. The character I played as looked like "Odd" from Code Lyoko, a popular French Tv cartoon back at the beginning of the millenium. He wore a purple bodysuit like Odd on top of having flashy straight blonde hair as he did. I was fighting a series of trainers in a row, but I can remember none of their Pokemons. I' not even sure they were Pokemons. It really just looked like a garbled mess of different things merged together into a dream, very surreal.

#160 SMT3: Nocturne in an alternate universe
I was playing a version of Shin Megami Tensei 3 that was "personalized" (relating to the every copy of Mario 64 is persnalized meme), it looked a felt exactly like SMT 3 Nocturne, but unlike the real counterpart it had major differences. I was inside a version of Ginza's underpass, large grayish brown walls, same pipes, the water was the same, a deep dark blue, et cetera. Except, everything else was different, the npc manikins were replaced by different npcs who well looked completely different. There was one who was wearing very eccentric red and black clothes, almost looking like a samurai. He was humanoid, not a demon. He was standing idly in the middle of the way and when spoken to would make dramatic poses and move erratically. In other words; very exaggerated gestures. Really reminded me of Ghirahim from Zelda. There was a shopkeeper who looked like him, but wasn't actually him inside a stall (looked like a lemonade stand) further South, he wore black and white clothes, prob ably a kimono. The ui for that shop was the same as in Smt 3. Unlike the og, the level design was reminiscent of the sewer area from Ty 2 for example every platform was interconnected by bridges, thus I never had to step into the sewage. I thern exited the underpass through a round tunnel with a bright white light at the end of it. Once outside I was in a swamp which was extremely out of place for this game, but at the same time the aesthetic of the swamp still felt consistent enough with the overall atmosphere of nocturne. There were elevated cliffs surrounding the swamp to keep demifiend confined and a large tree on a hill in the middle of the pond. I moved south towards a house with an anthropomorphic frog smoking a cigar, the frog told me nicely (he was talking a bit like a grandpa) that I only have found 16 out of the 17 houseflies he was looking for (I'm guessing I accepted his quest at an earlier point in the "game") and told me to come back to him once I find all 17 of them. I then moved north and was attacked by some sort of roller/wheeled-mounted drone, it had a small cannon from which it shot a flamethrower and some ice wind with ice shards popping in and out of existence. This is where another inconsistency comes into play, it wasn't an actual jrpg and demi-fiend could not only punch the drone in the overworld dealing it damage, but he could jump to dodge like an action rpg character, so I was jumping over its attacks and didn't get hit once and hit it twice with demifiend. There wasnm't any turn based combat. The dream sadly ends there.

#159 Doctor's office
I was playing a game featuring Tails from Sonic I think as protagonist. I remember he had pale skin on his leg which's why I doubt it could be from Tails, but I can't remember anyone else. I was inside a doctor's office, and Tails (Again, I think) was there sitting on some sort of table. The doctor was a human (I'm 100% sure of it) and he was telling Tails that he wanted to give him a rfid chip and how much science has progressed so that now rfid chips could be implanted inside hands and proposed to give one to him to make his life easier. Then Tails gives a look at his aforementioned leg, sees a large star marking on it which looked like both a scar and a sore at the same time, the outline of the mark was red, but everything in the middle was ranging from the color brown to pale. Tails was now really scared and crying, this ends the cutscene and I could walk around the office. There was a slidable window door all across the north side of the office. I opened it and went outside - it looked as if it was a Golf course with a few treees scattered around, but mostly hills. There was a water decoration surrounding the office with water flowing through it was, it looked to be made out of marble and looked like a mini swimming pool, although I don't think that's the intended use case. To my right there was a white building and in the distance to my left there was a grayish brown building.
I don't know if it was part of the same dream, but now there was a film or cutscene, the characters loooked latino. I think they were the parents from Lilo and Stitch. The camera then zooms into Lilo and Stitch with several more characters I didn't recognize who were all dancing to the beat of the end credits song from Chicken Little,* yes I'm not only 100% serious, but also 110% sure of that. They allso were all shrunk down besides the parents. One of them accidentally steps on Stitch only to recoil in panic, Stitch was unharmed only slightly dazed and was trying to balance of one leg. When that happened the music instantaneously stopped.
The song was Don't Go Breaking My Heart

#158 The Amazing World of Gumball: the video game
I was playing an Amazing World of Gumball video game. It was pretty strange, all the characters found in Elmore junior high (including Gumball and Darwin, the characters I did play as) were in some kind of lobby of some immense school or kindergarten, I got Garten of Banban vibes out of it. The only exceiption was the T-rex I didn't find her anywhere, and up until a certain point Alan the balloon guy. Then, most of them left the lobby and I've never seen them again. The game comprises of quests and optional side quests I could complete. I talked to the paper bear on the left aside of the lobby for a quest and then went on my way. There were several aisles, I went south. Now, as for the gameplay it was mostly a walking simulator I've never been attacked by any enemy, but there were balloons of all colors floating in the air with each having an item attached by their rope. Either I had to throw a pebble at them or use a sligshot and aim for the string to get the item, the balloon would then float up and vanish. I didn't start the game with a slingshot by the way, so maybe I had to unlock it and throw pebbles as a replacement or I couldn't throw pebbles, but had to unlock it to progress. I don't know when that happened, but I had accepted a side quest to hunt down Alan, so as I was attacking a plethora of balloons and getting stuff from them (of note, one of them was bugged and out of bounds. I could still cut its string, but would never be able to get the item it held, it spazzed out in place for a bit before disappearing) I came across Alan, trying to disguise himself as one of those balloons, he was inexplicably next to an actual turd on the floor, turd which only appears there and nowhere else in this place, when I shot and cut his rope, he sprung back into life all nervous and he began talking to Gumball and Darwin, after he ended his dialogue I shot him directly popping him in the process and ending said sidequest. As for the place itself, it was littered with childish decorations and decals. Cubical colorful and soft rubber blocks, ramps and bridges. The floor of many rooms had these puzzle patterns or colored checkerboard patterns. The walls had forests, people, kites and sometimes towns drawn onto them. Other than the lobby/reception there is no table nor chair anywhere in the whole game. The doors were very out of place, they were usually made of wood, but sometimes they were metallic or industrial, a strong contrast compared to everything else and how saturated in colors everything was. There was a couple of bottomless pits which was also out of place. I saw one in the lobby hugging the leftmost wall of that lobby. Over all; very weird and uncanny. if I didn't know any better I would guess they were all sent into the backrooms.

#157 Clip Art Studio
I had a dream where I was on Clip Studio Paint and was using an addon to make sharp pixelized straight lines for what I assume was a pixel art project. Note that it would normally be a fairly mundane dream, but I've checked online and that software does not support plugins. It's so oddly specific.

#156 Fursona 5
A game that plays a lot like a shin megami tensei game (with press turns and talking to enemies), probably made by Atlus. The ui looked a lot like Nocturne's, but Final Fantasy probably does so too, so not really a huge point of interest. Despite the above description, none of it was gritty nor drab at all. Instead everything was strongly saturated in colors and highly animated. The setting of the game is an anthro cartoon animayl city with extremely expressive anthro cartoon animals of all colors (including green and purple). Last thing I remember about the dream game was a casino boss fight against, you guessed it, an anthropomorphic funny animal who ran the casino. The backdrop was surreal, full of stuff (like poker chips and cards) floating in the air and moving erratically, it looked no different from what you would find from a SMT 3 battle or any of the Persona games I've ever played. Funnily enough, despite bringing up Persona, the backdrop for the boss battle looked nothing like Sae palace's, it was completely different, albeit the same theme. Last thing I remember was that I tried the talk option, but it didn't work on the boss, he had a funny monologue when I did that. I had a full party of 4 characters by the way.
Back into the irl in-dream I was having an argument (with a friend I presuume) about a game's pricing, this one presumably, specifically I was telling him that the game had a special pricing because Atlus was on the brink of bankruptcy and either couldn't afford for another mess up or it was due to some sort of law that obliged them to change the price. I don't understand what was happening for the pricing of the game to be an issue in the dream both because I had no context and I can hardly remember thoughts and conversaations from dreams. It's also unclear whether they increased the price of the game or decreased it.

#155 Security, but no safety
I only remember half the dream, sorry about that in advance. Anyway, so the bad guy who set up defenses in an old abandoned facility that's also overrun with vegetation came back to it, he got warned by a fairly old man, but that man was killed. (I think he killed hm?) The bad guy not heeding any warning barge-in and his own defenses that he's set up years ago don't recognize him and start attacking him. You'll never believe what were his idea for defenses, drones? No. It was animals, mostly wild animals too like deer. I saw a deer trying to impale the man with its horns. The dream then then cuts to a huge empty saloon and I was at the table in the middle of it, there was a corridor leading outside to my left against the corner of the room. There were no other table near me, they were at least 10 meters away from my table. I was with a friend and some dude who looked to be in his 80's, he had a large beard covering most of the lower half of his face. We were talking about what happened to that dude earlier in the dream.

#154 Spooky rhythm
I had a dream where I was in a spooky castle yard, very gothic in appearance and it was actually a bar I had a Friday Night Funkin' styled minigame that I lost immediately because it was way too hard. The bartender then suggested I train with another character (that character was a dragon or at least some sort of big monster) who would help me get better and better till I bested the bartender.
