I wasn't sure whether to post this in fear of seeming like a conspiracy theorist nutjob, but I cannot in good conscience stay silent. The more people who are aware, the better. I hope with all of my being that this post eventually sounds overly alarmist.

Speaking as someone who's been aware of Curtis Yarvin for a long time thanks to my masochistic obsession with keeping tabs on the "red pill" sphere for over a decade, I'm furious with myself for thinking that he was more of a fringe influence than he really was. I probably buried my head in the sand...

Curtis Yarvin, the man influencing JD Vance and many others within or close to the US administration, "joked" about turning unproductive members of society into "biodiesel." He quickly wrote that he's ~just kidding!~, but not without exclaiming that he's sincerely proposing a "humane alternative to genocide" by locking [undesirables] in virtual reality prisons.

I know this sounds completely insane. That's because it IS insane. I need you all to understand that Trump is an awful, disgusting POS, but Musk and his ilk (JD Vance included) are even scarier and even more insane.

Everything that's currently happening in the United States has been in the works for a long time. Cuts to education and so on. These megalomaniacs have been counting on an ignorant populace to impose their will upon. The long game's happening here, too. If you don't believe me, then remember that the Harper administration muzzled scientists.

Also, we need to remember that Pierre Poilevre is the preferred candidate of these techbro oligarchs. I understand that Poilevre may not seem as unpredictable and unhinged as Trump, but that doesn't matter. I personally don't see this as a right-wing vs. left-wing issue (I know that there are still many reasonable people who hold conservative political beliefs). We should all be united in not allowing the technocrats or their politicians to destabilize us. This heartening unification in Canada should not be limited to Buying Canadian.

I am extremely upset about what's happening in the United States. We are not safe from it, even internally. We all love someone who whom fascism would kill. Democracy must never be taken for granted.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to download this Ascian outfit, haha. I’ll have to find a white version for Elidibus.

I haven’t really been using this tumblr the way I thought I would. I’m thoroughly enjoying ACNH, but I’ve also levelled my island twice now due to dissatisfaction with the layout. There isn’t exactly a lot to post about when you have so much empty space. I also haven’t been able to play as much as I hoped either, and now I’m sick too (symptoms match covid to a tee, but I’m waiting to hear back about whether I’ll qualify for an assessment. Given that I have asthma, this hasn’t exactly been a fun time...)

But little parts of my island are coming together now!
