Am I the only person concerned about the fact that Sonic was able to restore the emeralds when only the negative energy was gone, but not when the positive energy was gone too? (SA1 vs Unleashed) Like. You're telling me that Sonic has so much negative energy that he can recharge the emeralds with it, but he doesn't have the positive energy required for when the emeralds are fully out? Also, Darkspine! You're telling me that all of the negative world rings are more attracted to a "hero" that wasn't even reacting to his friend's death than a an evil genie bent on world destruction?! AND THEN THERE'S THE WEREHOG. You mean to tell me Sonic was able to harness Dark Gaia's energy better than Light Gaia's?!?

YOU JUST UNLEASHED THE FUCKING BEAST

You wanna know exactly what lyric sent me down the endless tube that is Sonic Music? You really wanna know?

"Been down this road before, already know this story"

This. This singular lyric in Undefeatable sent me down the path of no return. At its simplest, it implies that Sonic had already won against Giganto before, even though he clearly lost against the titan earlier in the game. This implies that Sonic's been to Kronos before, gathered the emeralds, and went super against Giganto. If there's a reference to fighting Giganto before, what about the others? I searched through the other titan fight songs, and lo and behold, the first lyric in Break Through It All:

"I've been here waiting for the longest time, I can't believe it's real"

This is undeniably from Wyvern's perspective, because Sonic doesn't wait. Sonic has been actively gathering the emeralds, Wyvern's been waiting on Sonic. But the fact that Wyvern says "The longest time" means that it's been waiting for Sonic since the time of the ancients, since a few days of Sonic gathering emeralds on Ares is nothing compared to the thousands of years since the End had been resealed. And in Find Your Flame, Sonic mentions this:

"You cheat and you steal, I'm not letting it go"

Sonic thinks he knows the titans. And he doesn't see them as destroyers, he sees them as thieves. Sonic would have had to have been around back during the ancient's time in order to have an opinion like this, and everywhere I look in Sonic music, Sonic being from ancient times is all but confirmed. The lyric "Going home, time zone" in You Can Do Anything implies that going "home" requires the use of time travel, and the entire song Back In Time is basically a giant red flag for Sonic's age.

You wanna know why I take Sonic songs so seriously? This lyric in I'm Here:

"Can you hear the spirits shout their secrets in their melodies?"

This is just a sample of all the lore I've found by going through the lyrics in songs, but these lyrics are the simplest basis for why I'm utterly convinced that Sonic was around during the ancient's time. But I probably should keep my full analysis for every lyric ever for when I finish the script for the youtube series I'm planning. (The google document is already 14 pages long and all I have down is most of Sonic CD's analysis and the names of the games with a few of their songs. Sonic CD takes up most of it.)

Okay so call me a dumbass, but I really never listened to the Sonic Frontiers soundtrack properly until recently despite owning the game for years. And now I swear, Find your flame feels like it's a prequel to Infinite's theme. LIKE IT FEELS LIKE IT SHOULD COME BEFORE! Is this just me? Am I going insane?

Okay here's the thing, I am going to be writing a whole ass essay diving into the intracaties of Infinite's theme and when I'm done YOU WILL LISTEN UNDERSTAND!?

PLEASE I need someone else's perspective because I cannot listen to Infinite without drawing the parallels between that song and Find Your Flame because I SWEAR Sonic is talking during the line "I won't stop until they know my name"

Recently recieved a pocket knife from my dad and began thinking: If a Sonic character could have a straight up knife for self defense similar to how Shadow used to use guns, who would it be? And I'm talking a straight up pocket knife. (And we aren't counting mimic)

Sonic is a good candidate since he's already known for scratching and other short-ranged attacks (Werehog), but I don't see him using anything other than his natural assets and his surroundings any time soon.

Tails could definitely use a small knife for combat, specifically a super hot one to cut through metal and get into wires.

Surge. What more could I say.

Allow me to yap about a couple lyrics and connections in the song Run It.

The line "This ain't a one horse rodeo" can be connected to Shadow's entire story. Bro spends the entire story only focusing on avenging Maria, and feels like he's the only one on the same path as him. Like there's no one that understands. He's the one horse rodeo. But remember, this ain't a one horse rodeo.

"When we pull up green lights I show"

That's like the call to action. With Team Sonic under goverment servalance most likely, they would probably get Maddie and Tom in trouble if they fought major dangers without approval. And when GUN gives them the okay? That's the green light and they are sure as hell showing up.

You have no idea how many lyrics there are that mention being alone, not accepting help and not being used to working with others. Surprisingly, it's mostly from Sonic's point of view, like in Open Your Heart when Sonic says "I'm not gonna think this way, nor will I count on others".

Been replaying Sonic Frontiers and something's got me thinking.

So Sage become a physical and sentient AI because she linked with cyberspace essentially. And cyberspace acts as a way for the ancients to store history and data.

So what if, Sage's personality and sentience comes from absorbing nearly all of a single ancient's history and data.

So in that case, Eggman has adopted a centuries old child.

I honestly think cyberspace itself is sentient and that it has the power to make living shootoffs :P

So, you know how when chao go into breeding mode, flowers pop up around them? And how they're descendants of the ancients? ... And how there's a few giant flower fields on Kronos and Oranos?

Why do the titan pilots barely have any fanart or fanfiction about them? Like, there may technically be double the amount of fanfiction about them then the number of fanart I've seen, but the amount of fanart I've seen is ONE. It's honestly a little infuriating.

To think that the only time Sega ever let Sonic have a real, full-blown panic attack and actually show what he's like post-extreme stress was in the Sonic Boom comics. Wow. Only for comedy, huh? Reminds me of that one cutscene in Sonic Colors where he's talking to a dead robot and specifically asks Tails to forget about it. It's played for the laughs, but anybody who knows the story of Sonic Battle might understand why this should be concerning.
