the thing about morty and evil mortys relationship i consider like the most important part is the way they represent a part of morty the other cant have. morty prime embodies the kindness, forgiveness and selflessness that evil morty threw away so he could escape, but he’s obviously not himself and can’t be happy without it. and evil morty embodies the part of himself every morty has thats cunning and quick on his feet, and doesn’t care about what rick or anybody for that matter has to say, the ability to be cruel in order to get whatever he wants, morty prime sort of having thrown this away as well in favour of staying with rick. when morty prime and evil morty look at eachother it’s a mix of hating everything the other is and also admiring him. even though they might not admit it ever they need what the other has
