I want fic where Remus and Sirius have been together for ages and they’ve always known that marriage would eventually happen. So when Sirius finally does propose, he’s utterly shocked when Remus says “no”. He sort of splutters for a bit and is like “what do you mean, no???”

And Remus is like “well you didn’t do it right” and walks away.

And Sirius is down on one knee and holding a ring and is like ?????

So he tries again, a few weeks later, at an even fancier restaurant. Remus still says no. He then takes a few months to plan an even more elaborate proposal (there might have been doves involved in that one) and Remus still says no. The proposals get increasingly more ridiculous after that. Sirius proposes all over the world. There are fireworks at one proposal, and entire choir at another. Harry and his friends get in on it, and then practically the entire school (Sirius still can’t believe Remus left him down on one knee in front of the entire Great Hall at dinner that one time.) 

idk what gets Remus to finally say yes but when he does Sirius is like “so why did I propose to you twenty different times???” and Remus is like “I wanted to see how far you would take it tbh” and Sirius loves this lil shit so much the end.
