Okay, random rant. People need to stop vilifying clowns. Yes, clowns. I love a creepy harlequin as much as the next guy, but it’s gotten to the point where people disregard clowning as an art form and view them as nothing but horror fodder. For someone who has been fascinated by circuses and clowns since early childhood, it’s extremely frustrating.

I will pour booze into you until you become a stumbling, hiccuping, pathetic wreck. 

That soft, smooth skin will be a tapestry woven of vice. Stretch marks will spread across your form like Lichtenberg figures. Your youthful tissue will become sallow and creased. Your cheeks and nose will turn crimson, and dilated capillaries will appear like webs beneath your epidermis. Pimples will bubble up in pink clusters. Your thighs, hips, posterior, and belly will be packed with cellulite.

Say goodbye to that beautiful visage. Your button nose will thicken into a bumpy, reddened, misshapen lump. That face will bloat, jowls will sag, and a pendulous second chin will dangle from your jaw.

That body will inflate like a zeppelin, expand like a fleshy balloon. Your hypogastrium will be obscured by an apron of adipose. You will develop wobbling wings beneath your upper arms. Your shallow navel will become a deep, mysterious cavern. That flat belly will grow into a giant gob of undulating flesh. Your swollen breasts will spill over the sides of your overstuffed gut.

Don’t you dare attempt to hide your ravaged face beneath makeup. Don’t pluck your eyebrows—let them grow into untrimmed bushes. I will cultivate gardens of hair in your underarms and on your legs. I am a thief. I will rob you of every last cent of traditional beauty.

You are my catastrophe, my twisted monument to sin. Now…eat. Drink. Smoke. Good girl.
