hmmm more details more details…. I can offer this much…..

Akira and Ryuji have been friends for a while as well as Ann and Yusuke (who still goes to another school),,, their plot wouldn’t revolve around a school project they just hang out whenever. I don’t have a reason for them to find the first dark world yet….

Akira and Futaba (stand-in for Asriel) are both adopted by Sojiro and Iwai, but Futaba is away at a boarding school. And, Sojiro and Iwai split up years ago.

I also have some more lightners…

Sojiro and Iwai are the stand ins for Toriel and Asgore despite their other-monsterly appearances lol

as for other dark world characters well. I was holding off until 3+4 are out of spoiler territory but I can say this guy under the cut was a recent revelation that made too much sense (originally I had him as Jevil….)
