Scaramouche is sitting on the couch, strumming his guitar absentmindedly. You watch him from the kitchen, a mix of admiration and concern in your eyes. He's good, really good, and you know it. But with the band getting serious offers and with you getting accepted to T.U things are getting complicated.

"Yo, Scara," you call out, leaning against the counter. "You got a sec?"

He looks up, his fingers stilling on the strings. "What's up?"

"We gotta talk about yk the future," you say, crossing your arms. "You're getting big offers, and... I don't want to hold you back."

He frowns, setting his guitar down. "What are you saying? You think I should go?"

"I think you should follow your dreams," you say. "But I also don't want to lose you."

He sighs, running a hand through his hair. "You won't lose me. I can have both, right? The band and you."

"It's not that simple," you reply. "You'll be touring, recording, always on the move. We won't get to see each other much."

He looks away, the tension building. "I know, but this is what I've always wanted. I can't just give it up."

"I get that," you say, looking down. "I just don't want us to fall apart because of it."

“I’ll find a way," he says, looking into your eyes as he slowly leans in to kiss your forehead “I promise”

The next few weeks are a blur. Scara is constantly busy with the band, barely texting back, and when he does, it's short, vague responses. You try to stay positive, but the distance is growing

One night, after another practice session runs late, he sends a message: "We need to talk. This isn't working."

A few more days pass. Nothing. Your heart sinks further with each unanswered call and unread message. Finally, you see a post on social media: Scaramouche's band announcing their first big tour.

You sit in silence, the realization hitting hard. Scaramouche has made his choice. He's gone, chasing his dreams, leaving you behind without a word. Ghosted.

Ruffled purple hair, dazed gaze, scowl on his lips, out of all the places you just had to meet him when he's the reason you were there in this bar. Maybe it was a twist by fate or just the universe slapping salt onto an opened wound, definitely the second one.

Looking at him right now was different from looking at him at pictures or at the festival, unlike before they two were now face to face seeing the emotions in his eyes felt intimate even if the two were outside a bathroom in a bar. The familiar tension between them remained palpable. Words hung heavy in the air, suspended between them, as they struggled to find a way to break the awkward silence. As you slowly open your eyes, the harsh light across the room casts a painful glare. Your head throbs relentlessly, and confusion clouds your thoughts. Glancing over, you see Scara pacing restlessly, his steps echoing softly on the carpeted floor. Anger wells up inside you as the memories of last night flood back—how did you end up here, in this hotel room with him of all people? You shake him awake, your voice a harsh whisper that betrays your pounding headache.

"Scara," you hiss, "what on earth happened last night?"

He blinks groggily, sitting up and reaching out tentatively towards you. "You passed out. I tried calling everyone I knew to pick you up, but no one was available. So, I booked this room for us."
