The fucking meetings to discuss the murders on their ship are literally group facetime calls like a zoom call. Yk. Zoom. The platform we all had to use to attend our school and jobs and everything because of COVID? COVID. The virus that became a pandemic in 2020? 2020. The year Among Us became popular? That year? That game? The game about 10 blobs of solid colour on a 2D picture of a space ship running around to complete little tasks on the ship, some of wich could cause the deaths of everyone on board, in the hopes of catching the 2 killers on their ship by finding bodies or pressing the button to call a group meeting. One that discusses the death or their crewmate and decided the fates of everyone else on board (hungergames?), prepared to throw out one of their own on the smallest bit of evidence pointing to them maybe being the killers to suffocate to death in no-gravity. A FUCKING ZOOM CALL. To decide the fates of those around them simply because they have the power ans are able to justify it in their own minds (Hunger games. Maze runner. Most media etc) . Mmmmm tis what i imagine government and parliament zoom call to be like during covid. And now with trump and what ever the fuck nigal farage is trying to do w britain bringing american bullshit to us instead of eliminating it to begin with god their like a fucking disease to sivilisation and its slowly eating us form the inside out. (Not americans i mean ppl like trump n that)

On another note, back to among us content creators. These guys are people on one side of an electronic screen playing a little kids video game while millions of people watch from a different electronic screen from the comfort of their own homes. These little blobs on a screen have their fates decided by giants from another world playing their lives like its just a game and forcing them to kill eachother for their own entertainment. IMAGINE WERE THE LITTLE BLOBS. we are just little blobs on a screen to a universe far far away and none of us have any control over how our life goes, its all up to these giants from nowhere. These gods. This goes on for centuries of centuries of generations of generations of time lines of time lines. A civilisation lives and while they learn to thrive, some of them see little peeps of the outside world. Of outside the video game (wreck it ralf) and into a larger universe where anythings possible. They go back and tell others and different stories form. Of gods and monsters. And some may be real, some make believe. But theres always theories of how we came to be. Now the reason we end up so fucked is the same reason the saddest and most soul destroying books are the most read and the most loved. Its how were programed.

From miles and centuries of dimensions away, somehwere something happened and someone had a choice, and this choice became popular and started to thrive, so when they made entertainment they included real life scenerios to make it more emotional to the enternainee andbso on and so on until we get here and then it goes through trillions of trillions of ways we create entertainment and incorporate so much of our real lives throughout history. And it just spreads. Unstoppable. Always seeping into everything. Live a virus (covid?) like a DISEASE. throwbackkkkkk

when enforced the thought: was watching random among us videos on youtube for something to do while i finish the joint.

•okay so these guys play a role right? And id they dont play their role in a certain way or to the viewers dislike and visionary, they get attacked. So they make apologies, that get shit on and mocked because why the fuck is a 20 something year old man sat in front of a computer screen showing make emotions to please their audience while they repeat a practiced apology that they had to say in a certain way for the views to be satisfied? Like thats so wack? and then, if the majority of the viewers or enough to pay the bills stay watching, they get to go back into that random ass acting for their lives typa shit because they have no other choice. They cant afford to quit, they dont have any other job plans lined up on their CV. They dont know what else to do. So they play this role, and they model that role and try to sprinkle in parts of their actual feelings without being frowned apon by some random people watching a 20 minute video once a week and they change their character as their audience changes.

This sounds really fucking dramatic but heres what the basis of this idea came from:

• their is a kids game of little bean shaped aliens on a 2D 4 button spaceship doing random silly chores to “fix their spaceship” while looking for two imposters. Two people on the ship who do not have tasks but are able to sabatage certain parts of the ship in attempt to kill all the crewmates on board and are able to murder certain crewmates every certain amount of seconds and what the crewmates have left to be able to survive is a) finishing all their “tasks” to help fix the spaceship wich instantly removes any danger on board and subsequently makes the imporsters instantly defensless and then they throw the imposters off the spaceship to have a slow and painful death of lacking oxygen and not being able to move about or do anytging or find anything anywhere in sight to help their chances. Or: b) when the innocent crewmates are able to find the dead bodys who are sliced in half like a peace of pork, flopped on the floor with no sign of death but the fact that the top half of their body is a fucking big bone sticking out wich they then report to call a meeting with everyone on bord to discuss his death and hopefully get closer to figuring out who is sabotaging their mission. Every time someone finds a dead body and calls a meeting or someone figured something out or had an idea so they call a meeting to tell everyone and discuss it, they have a vote on weather or not to send someone off the ship into suffocation and suffering because they think its them and if so, who will it be? And then if someone gets majority votes hes instantly off the ship with no way to stop it. If it is the imposter, its the same principle as them being tossed of the ship the moment they were rendered defenceless. If its another crewmate, they are agreeing to send an inoccent person whos in the exact same possition as them into a death of pain and suffocation simply because they believe that they may be the imposter with no viable proof that they are.

•Now, this silly kids game became popular in adults playing it and talking to a camera wich will then be watched and cut into certain scenes that fit the personality they wish to perceive by children who then critique and discuss the videos and comment their reviews for everyone to see and add to the discution for years and years. They play this game confused but as they start understanding it, they become characters who are then built and shaped by their audience and spend the next 10 years of their lives with only certain parts of themselves stuffed into a box with all the requests from the viewers so they could get money. Now they have a whole play. Each person has their each personality shaped by their individual viewers and as they start to play the game together, the seperate teams of viewers decide who elses person they like and wich they dont and they are then seperated into certain teams “the morning lobby” they play the game a certain way due to the types of people who are in the lobby. Some groups will have more serious and smart players, some will be just funny jack off players, some will be mixes of wich specific personality matches in a certain way agreed on by the audience etc. like what the actual fuck?

it's been said before but the FUNNIEST thing about the "intricate and endless daddy issues" line is the fact that's it's not even true. like neil straight up made it up for the plot™ like no wonder kevin was freaking the fuck out because "kevin and i talk about your intricate and endless daddy issues all the time" and they don't??? kevin was probably TWEAKING OUT and neil just kept going.

I've been reading The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. I'm not the fastest reader so expect my takes in... A while lol.

But it is. SO. REFRESHING. To read a high fantasy novel in which many of the characters are grown ass adults with grown ass adult problems. I can't imagine reading a book of this length and complexity if all of the characters were in their late teens and early twenties.

Ead is 26. Sabran is 28. Loth is probably in his fifties and Roos seems to be in his 50s or even 60s. Kit is probably of similar age. But you also have Sulyard who's 18. Tané is also pretty young (about 20?).

It's NICE. It's great. The diversity of cultural inspiration, of theme, of character's age and maturity, of skin tone. Everyone is going on their various adventures and it's done so well.

I'm engaged with all of them and their experiences. I can appreciate Sulyard 's idealism, Ead and Sabran still growing but also being grown. Loth and Kit and Roos being too damn old for this shit but still getting caught up in things and still gaining new life experiences in their middle(?) age. Tané coming of age.

I want to spend time with all of these people, not just as an escapist, but also just as a reader experiencing a novel and that's A Big Deal for me.

andrew is so real for thinking neil is a hallucination cos now that we have outsider pov on him it's actually insane that he's a real person. like this is neil josten: he's the prettiest boy you've ever met. he's the runaway son of a serial killer. he has a million dollars but is afraid of spending money. he folds his clothes a specific way so he can tell when someone's gone through his stuff. he keeps a stalker's journal on the two greatest exy players of all time. he wears coloured contacts and they're brown. he paid a busboy $100 to knock him out cold. he insulted a celebrity athlete on live tv after trying to keep a low profile. he says he's trying to stay alive while running towards death like it's a race. he mouths off to the mafia. he respects your boundaries and is the first person ever to take you at face value and not consider you an out of control psychopath. he orders hits on your abusers. he has the most electric blue eyes you've ever seen. he looks great in clubbing clothes but dresses like he's homeless. he insults someone for their "intricate and endless daddy issues" while his father is a convicted mobster and serial killer. he didn't give a fuck when his teammate was killed. everyone seems to like him even though it's clear he's hiding a million secrets. he doesn't catch on to the many many hints you're giving him. he calls you out not for being a danger to others but for being a danger to yourself. he thinks you should be protected as well as trusting you to protect him (and you think, how can someone be a victim and a protector?). he doesn't give a flying fuck what literally anyone thinks about him. he comes back from being waterboarded and tortured and abused for weeks (to protect you) and is still as feisty and bitchy as before. except now he's a redhead and has many more scars. he is possibly the first person to ever make the active decision to protect you. he's willing to put himself in harm's way again and again and again so he won't lose you. he always has a cigarette but he never smokes. he says "you're not actually a sociopath are you?" and "the next time someone calls you soulless i might have to fight them". even though he's messy and a little oblivious he's sees you. he might be the only person to ever want you off your drugs. he wants to see you lose control, is aware that you're not out of control, you're actually so controlled and restrained all of the time and he wants to see you feel something, he wants you to be angry, be angry at him. he riles you up on purpose to see you show emotion, feel something. he's a runner and yet he's still possibly the bravest person you've ever met. he gets kidnapped and comes back even more bruised and battered than before and he's still a mouthy little shit who bitches at the press and cuts deals with the yakuza. he's most of the reason why the worst team in the nation ends up winning championships. he shoves a guy clean off his feet because they body checked you. he punched celebrity athlete riko moriyama in public, for you. he threatens him, for you. he's almost killed on live tv. he mouths off to the fbi. he watches the (second) best exy player in the world get shot. he also watches his father, notorious serial killer and gangster, get shot in front of him. and he laughs. he smiles. he kisses you and is never gonna run again and he's free and he wants to be with you, he wants you.
