It is not! I've just gotten a bit busy in life :) I'll let you all know when you can expect the next update as soon as possible!

Snippet

I didn’t even notice we had reached 100+ followers! Thank you all so much for your support! As a thank you, here’s a snippet:

The three of you walk down the alleyway, like the rest in the city this one is dimly lit by the overhead neon signs. Advertisements announcing sales, opening signs, beautiful ones with dragons and various fabulous birds, they vary widely in size and colour. You not their reflections in the puddles below your soles as you step in them.

You never would have guessed that the door you find yourself in front of, would hide a club. The way Eagle talked about it you had assumed something more… Eye catching.

The run-down building is close up against the ones beside it, and it's covered in graffiti and stickers with various messages. Some are simple catch phrases while others call for action against the system.

The building itself is an unassuming grey, the door is scratched up, and the lead grey paint is chipping away.

You can hear the music playing faintly.

Finally Eagle opens the door.

So star has ADHD, mc has PTSD (I’m guessing??) do any other characters even if we haven’t made them yet have anything they deal with?

The mask maker, Asgir, is autistic, specifically what is called GUA in danish. When under extreme stress he may show symptoms of psychosis, so he tries to live life a bit less stressful as much as possible.

It’s based upon my own experiences with that specific diagnosis, and I only really feel comfortable writing a character with that type as to not misrepresent any symptoms.

It’s one of the symptoms that are less talked about, and I think it’s important to shed light upon it, as well as psychosis in general as it’s 100x scarier to the person who deals with it than those around them.

People who suffer from psychosis are more a danger to themselves than others, and are more likely to be abused. But you can absolutely get help you need and deserve and I want to write about it in a way where it isn’t portrayed as horror, instead as a struggle you may deal with.

I’d like to thank all of you for the support you have given me so far, I’m having so much fun writing, and it’s even more fun knowing that people are enjoying the journey so far.

I have been wanting to write this story since I was 13, I am now 20, it’s scary yet comforting to be sharing it with all of you.

Snippet - Lyngbakr

The rain outside the window is rather soothing for now. Like listening to your family speak about pleasant times outside your door at a get together. Familiar in every sense of the word. Comforting like a warm hug.

But there’s an underlying sense of annoyance as well. One you feel almost stupid for having.

“What’s on your mind, Fish?” Star taps your shoulder, forcing you out of your trail of thoughts.

You shake your head before giving her an answer.

“Pretty shit weather, huh?”

“I like it,” Star shrugs. “But not exactly ideal for going out, you’re right.”

“We’ll be alright though.” You shrug, you don’t even entirely believe in that statement.

“You’ve got your mask, right?”

You pat the pocket in your trousers before giving a simple nod in response to her question.

What would each character do for the mc on Valentine’s? 🥺

Star - Go for a nice walk along the river, pick nice rocks for the mc, pick out flowers that remind her of mc, make tea, tarot readings, basically make it a cute special day

Eagle - “I hate capitalism but I love you”-sort of thing, take mc out to a remote location to watch the sunset, plan everything out, every single detail is written down, try to make jokes, possibly cook for the mc but she is an awful chef so it would get burnt
