“Fallibg asleep on your desk does not count," I groaned and rolled my eyes as Randy pestered me while I was trying to do my school work. "I mean it, Pony, do you ever sleep? You look exhausted," Randy said, placing his school book on my desk.

"First of all, you have your own desk, and secondly, that's a bold statement coming from you. I'm pretty sure every time I see you in this room when you're not in class, you're asleep," I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but notice how he was right.

I was real tired. I hadn't slept at all last night and had been waking up around three or four am every morning. I pushed his book off my desk, making a loud bang and a flutter of pages. Randy swore under his breath as he picked it up. I smirked at him and had to muffle my laughs with my hand. In response, he messed up my perfectly done hair. "Damn you, Darry—Randy!" I hollered at him in annoyance.

"You're so tired you can't even think straight! Calling me by your brother's name... I'm so hurt, Pony," he sighed, smirking at my annoyance and teasing me with the last part. "Go to sleep," he commanded, pointing to my bed. I stared at him with a look of annoyance, and he smirked and winked at me. God, I hated him sometimes.

"What will you do without me next year, Pony? Who's going to remind you to stop working your ass off until you almost pass out because you don't sleep enough? Oh my," he dramatically rolled his eyes and looked at me one more time. "Go to sleep, though, Ponyboy. You look like death.
