the feel of his arm around her waist has her turning, a smile growing upon her lips in tandem with the delicate touch. the iron lady’s genuine grin is as rare as snow in the summer, and her eyes sparkle with contentment as she returns touch for touch, placing one arm on his shoulder and wrapping the other around his neck, through his thick mane of raven-black hair. 

“mmmmm ... i did have plans with a certain ambassador ... but i suppose i could cancel, if more pressing matters were to arise ...”

   moments such as these fleet from sight , embarking into the rare entreaties of shade and shadow . tender days are upon them , when warmth can be paid in gratuity and expressions fond might be more readily had . boldness is a trait persistent in the uchiha ,  but tenderness … rare and far less so . except in the divine’s company , the male winds an arm about her waist and draws her near , smile cresting his lips .

Though Vivienne was able to stop the smile that threatened to spread across her lips, it grew in her eyes, sparkling in her dark irises like the night sky above Skyhold. She was not one to be easily swayed by pretty words, but coming from him, they carried more weight than gold. 

The two of them lapsed back into companionable silence once more as Vivienne leaned forwards to pour him a cup of tea. “This is one of my particular favorites,” she said conversationally, passing him the tea. “My dear Bastien had a Rivaini acquaintance who used to send us this blend several times throughout the year. It’s very mellow and comforting, yet surprisingly flavorful.”

She settled back in her chair with her own cup, trailing one finger along its rim.

“Let us hope it serves its purpose.”

Inclining his head slightly, Dirthamen leaned back in his chair. If there was one thing about Vivienne that he had great respect for, then it was her keen instinct for when it was appropriate to pry into other people’s bussiness and when she should leave it be.

“Madame, when you are capable of hearing all those tormenting secrets a fortress as big as this one hosts, then there’s always something troubling you.”

Despite his words, his expression remained gentle, a soft smile playing at the corners of his lips.

“But right now, the presence of a true lady and the soothing taste of tea are all that I seek.”

☄ What’s one thing roleplay wise that has been annoying you here lately?

honestly, my biggest beef with the roleplaying community on tumblr is the fact that ocs are often ignored/brushed off by people who don’t even take the time to read over them or explore that particular character. this is my BIGGEST GODDAMN PET PEEVE because i am a firm believer that ocs bring something to fandoms and universes that not even CANONS can. plus, some of the most creative and coolest ideas i’ve seen are from ocs. there is nothing better than reading about an amazingly fleshed-out oc whose mun has put a lot of work into molding an entirely new and entirely neat perspective to view the world from.

i REALLY wish that people would be more open to ocs and not just immediately shut ‘em out as soon as they see the abbreviation, because ocs bring so many different factors of a universe to a table that canons just CAN’T bring, in my opinion. ocs allow people to really UNLEASH their creativity and explore certain aspects of the universe that either weren’t touched upon, or that the particular mun has a different take on. they bring a whole set of perspectives, personalities, and potential to a fandom, and i really wish they were recognized for that instead of just tossed aside.

like, sorry that i’m not sorry, but if you’re one of those people who just doesn’t want to interact with ocs because you’re too lazy to read about them or whatever, then you’re missing out on some seriously amazing shit, bud.
